I touched the band of platinum on his finger. “I’m married to you, so I’m good. But it might be nice to do that again on the open seas when I’m not in shock for most of the ceremony.”

He touched the necklace he had given me, the diamond skull and crossbones that I never took off. “Done.” His expression changed as he grew serious. His focus was on our hands. “I’d go through all of it again.” His eyes lifted to mine. “Every wretched second of my life if you were what I had waiting for me at the end.”

I thought I didn’t have any more tears left to cry after his vows, I was wrong. I threw my arms around him and pressed my face to his neck. “I love you.”

“A pirate who loves an angel.” He cupped my chin and lifted my face to his. Love stared back. “There are stranger things.” Then he kissed me. Not our first kiss, not our last kiss, but a kiss full of promise, a kiss full of passion, a kiss worthy of a painting in a museum that inspired the lovers and the dreamers. A kiss I had waited a long time for, a kiss I would remember all of my life because it wasn’t every day a dream came true. I had wished for someone to love me, to choose me. Never in my imaginings did I dream that my prince charming would be a pirate, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  ALWAYS AND FOREVER

Archaeologist Quinn Shaughnessy stumbles onto a forgotten castle in the middle of the English countryside and is determined to learn all that she can about the place. Never in Quinn’s wildest dreams could she imagine her quest for answers would lead her into the adventure that awaits her. After an encounter with an old woman speaking of magic and the sighting of a handsome ghost who haunts the castle grounds, Quinn finds herself pulled back into the past to the time when the castle was inhabited. She will learn first hand how the link to the past impacts the path of the future, and she will discover a love that not even the passing of time can diminish.

  A GLIMPSE OF THE DREAM

Teagan Harper is barely ten years old when she finds herself orphaned and sent away to live at Raven’s Peak, a Gothic estate on the seaside cliffs of Maine. Soon, though, her heartache and loneliness are tempered by a blossoming friendship with the only other child living at Raven’s Peak: Kane Doyle. Over the years, the pair grows inseparable and make promises of forever. But their dreams are shattered and devastated and heartbroken, Teagan cuts ties with her beloved adoptive home and tries to move on with her life. When the shocking truth behind Kane’s betrayal comes to light years later, Teagan must decide whether to embrace her new life and let go of her past once and for all, or fight for her dream life with the only man she’s ever wanted.

  JUST ME

Lark O’Bannion learned early that life isn’t really like a fairy tale. Damsels are usually left to deal with their distress alone and Prince Charming rarely, if ever, comes riding to the rescue. Happily-ever-afters are a lovely concept, but in reality are few and far between. When Sebastian Ross rolls into her life on his Harley, with his dark beauty and inked skin, Lark is willing to admit that maybe she doesn’t know as much as she thinks she does.

  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Right out of university, I bought my first laptop. While commuting on the train to work every day, I wrote. I have over a hundred novels started, some finished, but it was the act of writing…taking what was in my head and putting it down on paper that I loved. Now, years and years later, I’m a writer. I wake up every morning, grab a cup of coffee and with my two dogs in tow, I head to my office and I spend the day writing—creating characters and worlds that I love getting lost in. Thank you for taking a chance on my books. Thank you for coming back for more. Thank you for giving this writer a chance to do what I love, to share what I love. I will never be able to say thank you enough. I’m living my dream and I owe that to you.

Elusive was so much fun to write. I wanted to do a story on pirates, but I wanted to show how someone decides to become a pirate...or if it is really a choice at all. I’ve always loved movies about shipwrecks and lost treasures, and what better adventure for a pirate than to go in search of one. I loved how Kace Noah Mayes’ character developed. How he went from Kace to Noah, the circumstances and choices he made to turn him into the man he became. I hope while reading you feel like you are part of their crew, experiencing the sea, the ports and the adventures right along with them.
