“C’mon, Gabi,” I told her. I spanked her again and she sobbed out my name. “I know you need to come. You need it so badly, sweetheart. I’ll let you have it, I’ll give it to you. You just have to tell me what you were really doing on that boat and how you got there.”
“I was just there for the same reason everyone else was,” she said. It was hard for her to get the words out. She kept gasping and moaning, her hips frantically thrusting up against the vibrator. “A friend told me about it to see if I’d be interested—she, she told me, and I was, and then—Walter, he recruited me, I promise, I told Liam too, and I got on the boat with the other girls, I promise, I’m a model, please I promise please—”
She started babbling at that point, and I had to give in. I wanted to fuck her so badly. And if she was managing to stick to her story after all of this, it wasn’t likely that she’d give up after even more. At this point she was practically babbling, close to entering that headspace where all she’d say were nonsense words.
My dick throbbed. She was so gorgeous, the perfect little sub. If I couldn’t get proper answers out of her, I might as well finish what I’d started and satisfy myself in at least one way.
“Jason!” Gabi screaming my name was a beautiful thing to behold. “God, please, just fuck me already, fuck me please, I want—I want you inside me, Jason—”
And, well, I couldn’t say no to a plea like that.
I turned off the vibrator, making Gabi give out another little moan. I spanked her one more time for that, laughing when she jumped in pleasure and surprise. It didn’t take long for me to get undressed. I almost tore my shirt trying to yank it over my head. I rolled on the condom and slicked myself up, then slid in between her legs.
“You still good?” I asked.
Gabi raised her head. She was flushed all over. Her hair was sticking to her face. She was actively trembling in every limb. Yet her eyes held fire in them when she leveled a glare at me.
“I said fuck me,” she replied. “Is that not specific enough?”
I kissed her. “You little spitfire,” I said admiringly.
I didn’t bother with starting slow. I was too pent up and Gabi was too far gone. I set a hard pace, driving again and again into that tight, clenching heat. Gabi thrust up to meet me, letting me take her as hard and as fast as I wanted.
She cried out every time I drove into her, sending a spike of pleasure straight through me. It felt like I had been on the edge for just as long as she had, watching her fall apart and now being inside of her.
“That’s it,” I grunted. “That’s it, let it all go, you can come for me now, Gabi.” I wanted to feel her coming around me. I couldn’t stop the frantic thrusting of my hips, but I reached down and rubbed hard at her clit. “Come for me.”
That did it. Gabi screamed. Her entire body seized up and she clenched down around me. The tight, hot sensation and the feeling of her writhing against me was all I needed—I came hard, my hips jerking a final time.
Chapter 10
Gabrielle
I gasped as my orgasm continued to roll through me. Every time I thought I was done, I’d get another little spasm of pleasure. My limbs felt heavy and uncoordinated.
I’d had no idea I could even have an orgasm like that. It seemed to last forever, and the aftershocks were still coming. Time seemed to not exist. I could have been coming for ten minutes or an hour. I had no idea.
That had been… ‘Intense’ was the only word for it. The kinkiest I’d ever gotten before were some fuzzy handcuffs with my college boyfriend. I’d wanted more, but hadn’t known how to ask. Even after doing a little bit of research on my own, I’d held back.
But Jason… Holy shit. Every time it felt like I couldn’t possibly handle more, that there was no way it could get more intense, it somehow did. I still couldn’t believe I’d managed to stick to my story throughout that entire thing. I’d been so desperate to orgasm, I was worried that I would blurt out the whole story just to get him to let me come.
“You okay?” he asked.
At some point Jason had untied me, but I couldn’t really remember that. Now he was carefully stroking his hands up and down my stomach, soothing me.
“I am,” I replied. “I’m good.”
That was fantastic. I’d even dare to say mind-blowing. Whoever I ended up dating sometime down the line was going to have to be okay with a little kink in the bedroom at times because that was fantastic.
Unbidden, the thought came into my head—was Liam into more kinky stuff in bed on occasion? He must be, given the yacht parties.
Why would I even think about that? After just being coached into a blinding orgasm by Jason?
“You did well,” Jason said.
I looked up at him. His dark eyes shone and he had a satisfied grin on his face. He looked like the cat that ate the canary. I figured he had a right to be a bit smug.
“Thanks,” I said. “That was really great.”
“Glad to hear it.” Jason winked at me and then heaved himself up off the bed. “I’m ready for more fun whenever you want.”
I watched as he tugged on his clothes and packed up his briefcase. I was feeling lazy enough to just stay in bed. Although I should probably put my nightgown back on.
As I reached for it, Jason finished putting himself back together. I slid the gown over my head just in time to hear him say, “I will figure out the truth, you know.”
I struggled to get my nightgown on, pulling it down to gape at him. “What?”
Jason’s look was still predatory, but now it had a hard edge to it. “What you were really up to on the yacht. I’ll figure it out.”
Fear rushed through me. Before I could say anything, Jason turned and walked out the door.
I jumped to my feet and hurried after him. He knew I was hiding something—and I had to know what made him suspicious. I couldn’t let him leave.
Jason was taller than I was, though, and I was stumbling around like an idiot thanks to my bone-shaking orgasm. It felt like my legs were going to give out on me any second. By the time I got to the front door, still in my nightgown, Jason was already in the car. I could do nothing but watch as he pulled away.
And then Kelsie’s car pulled in.
Shit.
Kelsie stepped out of her car and watched as Jason drove away. She had to have gotten a good look at him. She must have known who he was. Even if she’d been in the yacht kitchen for most of it, she’d still mingled a little bit. Jason was Liam’s best friend, practically his right-hand man.
I felt like throwing up. I knew before she even walked up the steps that Kelsie was going to be freaking out. And why shouldn’t she? One of the guys who had hired her and sworn her to secrecy had just emerged from her apartment.
Thankfully, I didn’t think that Jason had seen Kelsie’s face. And even if he had, I wasn’t sure if he’d recognize her. Why would he remember one of the staff when he had two dozen gorgeous models around him? Perhaps it was a rather narrow-minded way of thinking of him, the typical billionaire who didn’t notice the staff. But I wasn’t all that inclined to think kindly of Jason at the moment. Who just dropped a threat like that and then disappeared?
I hurried to put on a robe before Kelsie could get inside. I didn’t know where to even begin explaining how my day had gone. I hadn’t gotten out of pajamas all day. I’d built a conspiracy theory wall. Then I’d gotten fucked for an hour until I had the most prolonged orgasm of my life.
And then, to top it all off, I got vaguely threatened.
Kelsie walked in as I was tying my robe shut. She dropped her purse on the floor and stared at me. I could feel the heat climbing up into my face. What was I supposed to say? What could I say that wouldn’t make me sound…well, like I was about to get Kelsie in huge trouble?
“What the hell?” Kelsie said. Or ‘shrieked’ was probably a more appropriate word. “Why the fuck is Jason Rales pulling away from our apartment building? Why are you only wearing a bath
robe?”
“I—” I started to explain, but Kelsie didn’t give me a chance.
“He knows where you live! That means he knows where I live!”
“I don’t think that he saw you.”
“How did he get here? Why was he even here?” Kelsie paled. “Does he know who you are? Are you in trouble?”
“No.” I folded my arms. “Maybe if you gave me two seconds, I’d have a chance to answer your questions?”
“Sorry.” Kelsie waved her hands about wildly. “I just… That’s my boss, Gabs. Or, I mean, technically Mr. Myer is my boss, but Jason Rales is his best friend. He’ll have Liam Myer fire me if that’s what he wants. And if they figure out that I got you onto that boat… I mean, they could sue me, Gabrielle. These are powerful people. I could never work in this town again.”
“I think you’re being just a tad dramatic,” I said. “He was here because he wanted to sleep with me. He didn’t get a chance last night.”
Kelsie’s mouth dropped open. Funny, I didn’t think that was something that happened in real life. “He what?”
“He showed up, said he wanted to make up for the fact that he never made good on any of his promises from last night.”
“And…” Kelsie’s voice dropped to a whisper, as though someone might be eavesdropping on us. “And did you?”
I bit my lip. There was really no point in trying to hide it, was there? “Yes.”
Kelsie gave a little scream. “I’m elated, but I’m also completely terrified!” she confessed.
“Yeah, I can tell.”
“But how did he know that you live here?” Kelsie pointed out. “He had to have tracked you down somehow. That means that he’s got some idea of who you are. It won’t be long before he puts two and two together.”
“I’m telling you, Kels, he didn’t see you.”
“He doesn’t even have to have seen me. He just has to run a background check on you. He’ll find out that you’re a reporter and if he finds your social media, he’ll know that we’re friends. Half of those photos are the two of us doing things together. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how you got onto the yacht if you know me.”
“Who says he’s going to run a background check on me?” I replied. I tried to keep Jason’s words out of my mind—the questions he’d asked me. What my real name was. How I’d heard about the party. What my real intentions were. I could still hear his voice in my head.
I shoved those thoughts aside.
“If he didn’t, then how did he get your address?” Kelsie pointed out. “And besides myself, you’re screwed too. If you’re a reporter, then he’ll know why you were on the boat. Those men will come at you with everything they’ve got. One billionaire snapping at your heels would be bad enough, but six? Are you kidding me?”
“They’ll come after the paper once the story is printed anyway,” I said.
“But the paper has to protect you. Or they would, if you hadn’t made it painfully obvious that you’re the odd one out! There’s no way that you can print now, Gabrielle. They’ll know that it’s you. They’ll come after you and they’ll come after me for helping you!”
“I think you’re being a little overdramatic,” I said. “What can they really do? Honestly?”
“Maybe they can’t do anything legal,” Kelsie said. “I’d have to check. But even if they don’t sue us, they can put on the pressure through their friends. They’ll make sure that nobody hires me. They’ll find a way to get the newspaper to fire you. They’ll raise our rent. I’ll remind you that these guys have nothing but money to burn, in case those parties didn’t prove that to you. What the hell are you going to do that won’t end with them knowing you’re the one who spilled the beans?”
A heavy weight settled around my shoulders and into my chest. She was right, of course. But I had no idea how to circumvent that. I had to find a way.
What else could I do? I’d already started on this story. I had to see it through to the end, not in the least because my editor was waiting for something big from me. How the hell was I supposed to tell them that I’d changed my mind? I couldn’t pull a brand-new story out of my ass. Certainly not one as scandalous and big as this one.
“I don’t know,” I admitted. “I just… I can’t think right now, okay? I just… It’s been a really weird day.”
“A guy you’ve met once shows up at your door and you have sex with him. Yeah, I’d say that counts as weird.”
“Wow. That was judgmental.”
Kelsie looked genuinely apologetic. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it like that. I just meant that you’re not the type to do one-night stands like this. And this was a guy who could use this against you. Not to mention it’s probably a huge conflict of interest to sleep with someone you’re investigating.”
“I already slept with Liam Myer,” I pointed out. “I’m already pretty biased in that case, wouldn’t you say?”
“Fuck,” Kelsie groaned. “You didn’t tell me about that!”
“I didn’t get a chance; you were asleep when I got home last night and you were gone when I woke up.”
“Fair enough.” Kelsie heaved a large sigh. “Perhaps it’s unfair of me to bombard you like this. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean… I wasn’t trying to be rude. I’m just scared, that’s all.”
She collapsed down onto the couch. I had to admit that I knew how she felt. I was just starting to realize now, with Jason’s behavior, how dangerous the waters I was entering were.
I liked to think that Jason had slept with me purely because he’d wanted to, but there were ulterior motives at work as well. He suspected that I wasn’t who I said I was and that I was holding something back. Could Liam be suspecting the same thing? How had I messed up last night? What had gotten Jason suspicious?
My thoughts were spinning. And I felt exhausted.
Kelsie must have noticed this, because she clucked her tongue sympathetically. “Oh, Gabs, you look worn out. I’m sorry. C’mere.”
I went to her and let her pull me down so that she could give me a hug. I rested my head on her chest and curled up on top of her, the way we used to when we were in college and one of us was stressing about an assignment.
“It’ll be okay,” she said. “I just want you to tread carefully, is all.”
“You have a right to be worried about your own career, too,” I pointed out.
“I just don’t want you thinking that’s all I care about.” I could feel Kelsie’s chest rise and fall beneath my head as she sighed. “These men are more powerful than we like to think. And most of the time, they’re entitled and stubborn as shit. I don’t want you to get hurt. That’s all.”
Jason definitely fit the entitled bill. For all that he rebelled against the family business, there was a sense of privilege about him. He asked for permission, but in a way that suggested he knew he was going to get what he wanted. Like he’d known that I would want to sleep with him, even if he didn’t know exactly what my kinks were. The twins, Cody and Cameron, I hadn’t spent much time with, but they’d struck me as similar.
But Liam… He hadn’t seemed entitled at all. In fact, he’d seemed like a normal guy.
I focused back on Kelsie. “I know that you’re worried. I appreciate you caring about me and reminding me to be careful. I’ll try, I promise I will. And I won’t do anything that’ll threaten your career. I’d be the worst friend ever if I got you fired from everywhere and you had to move.”
“Well, you’d be in, like, the top three of worst friends,” Kelsie agreed. “Why don’t you go get some sleep, okay? I can feel you starting to fall asleep on me right now and I still need to shower.”
“Yes ma’am.” I heaved myself up off of her and stumbled back to my bedroom. “I just need some space to clear my head, that’s all. I’ll figure something out.”
“I know you will. Just be careful, okay?”
“Okay.” I gave Kelsie a reassuring smile. She smiled back at me, but I could see the blurred
edges of nervousness in her mouth and her eyes.
As I closed the door behind me, my legs finally started to give out. I was a little impressed that they’d made it this far. I collapsed down onto the bed.
Oh Lord, I was going to have to change the sheets tomorrow morning.
I stared up at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep despite the exhaustion in my body. What if Kelsie was right? What if I’d bitten off more than I could chew?
The fact was I knew next to nothing about what it was like to be a billionaire. I didn’t know how much power they had or who they might have in their pockets. I couldn’t risk my job. And I certainly couldn’t risk Kelsie’s. I’d talked her into this. Destroying her career would be awful. She’d worked so hard for it and she adored her job.
I’d told Kelsie that I just needed to clear my head and to give myself some time. But I didn’t know if even a good night’s sleep would be enough to clear all of this up.
In the course of the past twenty-four hours, I had fucked two guys I didn’t know. One of them I’d had sex with twice. The other one I’d let do kinky stuff to me that I’d never let anyone else do before. And in between, I’d snuck into a private party, seen people having public sex at said private party, and let two other guys feel me up and make me orgasm on a dance floor.
Not to mention the conspiracy board that I’d shoved under the bed.
Was Kelsie right? Was I sabotaging my career for this story? Could this ruin everything?
Chapter 11
Gabrielle
I woke to a sound that filled me with dread: my phone ringing.
It was mornings like this that I regretted setting my ringer to a catchy, upbeat pop tune. During the day, it was fine. When it was waking me up from a restful sleep, not so much.
All right, so ‘restful’ was an exaggeration. It had taken me a long time to fall asleep. I couldn’t stop worrying that I was in way over my head, and I had no idea how I was going to get out of it. In what way could I print the story without one of them figuring out where—or rather who—it had come from?
