And, by God, he would. He lifted her as he stood, her slick body slipped against his, one knee hooked over his elbow, her other foot on the floor, on her toes, and if not for her tall, elegant stature, she’d not have made contact. He reached down and positioned his cock at her entrance. “I can’t wait any longer.”

She grabbed both sides of his face and looked him in the eyes. “Fuck me, now.”

“I don’t fuck. It implies this is just animalistic sex without meaning, and it’s not. I need more from you than a fuck.” He slammed his cock inside her, burying himself to his balls.

  “Eli!”

“Hold on, honey.” He pulled back and did it again, this time hooking her other leg and bringing it over his hip. Anya locked her ankles behind him as he pounded into her. She scratched. She bit. She screamed. Passionate and unafraid to be so. Anya Volkov was the perfect woman for him.

Her muscles clenched and she came again, pulling him over the edge with her and into oblivion. General Eli Wells lost his heart for the second time in his life.

  “Well, that was....”

He leaned in and kissed her. “Perfect.” He pressed his forehead to hers. “So, do you think you could to me the honor of attending an inaugural ball with me next week? I could really use a woman like you by my side.”

“I’d be pleased to.” She dragged her finger down his cheek. “But, I don’t want to wait until then to see you again.”

“I didn’t plan on it. How does breakfast, lunch, and dinner tomorrow sound—since it’s a Saturday and I don’t have to work?”

“Wonderful. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.”

“Indeed it is. Now about you disobeying an order....” He grabbed her wrists and pressed them over her head. “Bad soldier.”

  “You have no idea, General.”
