Looking up the stairs, I began climbing them, feeling the pull of my incision. Even though the staples had been removed long ago, the area was still very tender. Knowing that there was no way I was going to make it, I yelled, “Aiden, are you up there?”
When there was no response, I realized he had to be somewhere else in the house, or maybe outside. Opening the front door, I found him standing by his car, yelling at whoever was at the other end of the call. I didn’t want to seem like I was intruding on his call so I closed the door and waited until he was done. Heading to the kitchen to get a drink of water, I heard the front door open.
Turning to face him, there was something different about him. He didn’t seem angry, at least not like he was a few moments ago. Walking closer to him, I asked, “Are you okay?”
“That was the nurse at the hospital, she wanted to know if you needed her to set up an appointment with the OB/GYN. When I asked her why you would need to see a baby doctor, she said you were pregnant and the next appointment was two months out.”
It made sense why he looked the way he did. Moving closer to him, I placed my hand on his cheek and said regretfully, “I’m sorry, Aiden, I should have told you. I didn’t know what to do.”
I was an emotional mess. Aiden took me in his arms. “Hanna, it will be okay. I should have been more careful. We love each other and we will work this out.”
Pulling away from him, I looked up at him and questioned, “Do you love me?”
Placing his hand on my cheek, he lowered his head and captured my lips with his. “How could I not love you, Hanna?”

Even though it was too soon for Aiden to make love to me, he worshiped me in other ways. There wasn’t one inch of my body that wasn’t kissed, licked, or pleasured. Lifting my head, I replied, “Worshiping you.”
Continuing where I had left off, I lowered the waistband of his boxers, exposing his beautiful cock. Sitting on the bed, I focused on him. His face looked so serious and I was confused. Reaching over to the nightstand, he took something out of the drawer. I couldn’t tell what it was and asked again, “Aiden?”
As he pushed to a sitting position, I waited for him to explain. “I wanted to do this at the hospital but wanted you to be awake. I thought I was going to lose you, Hanna. I never want to have that feeling again. I want to do this for the right reasons. I’m going to give up my position at Elite Exchange. I want to build a life with you and our child in Danbury. I want us to be a family.”
Looking down at his hand, he took hold of mine and slid a ring on my finger. Looking up at him, I asked, “Are you asking me to marry you?”
“That is exactly what I’m doing. I love you Hanna. I had been so obsessed with being CEO that I lost sight of the one thing that mattered the most to me. Please say yes, Hanna.”
Wrapping my arms around him, I told him I loved him too. Not because he was giving up the position at Elite or his life in Houston. It was because there was no other kind of love than the one he had shown me. He would always be a part of me. Looking up at him, I took his hand and placed it over my scar. “I’m so glad that it was you that saved me.”
“I take it that’s a yes.”
