Cruel Masters Page 8

by Stone, Piper

As he swirled his finger around my clit, my breathing became scattered, lightning flashing in front of my eyes.

Growling, the sound he emitted was so husky that it sent vibrations dancing all the way to my toes. I closed my eyes, doing everything I could to pretend this wasn’t happening.

He added a second finger, teasing me, slowly brushing the tips up and down. “Does that feel good, Caroline?”

“Uh-huh.” The involuntary answer made me cringe. No, this wasn’t right. This couldn’t happen. Yet as I tried to push him away, he drove his fingers into my tight channel.

  “Oh. Oh. Oh.”

“Yes, I can bring you extreme pleasure, but only if you obey me.”

Swallowing, I did everything I could to shut down the rapidly increasing fire. This wasn’t going to happen. I wasn’t going to fall for his bullshit.

He continued to thrust deep inside for several seconds before easing his fingers into the light as the driver pulled to a stop.

  “Look at me, Caroline.”

I refused his ridiculous order, doing my best to stretch away from him.

He snapped my head, forcing me to obey him. Then he rubbed his slickened fingers across my mouth, a wry smile crossing his face. His husky promise was one I’d never forget.

“Soon we’re going to fuck you in every hole. Your mouth. Your sweet pussy. Then your tight asshole. After that, you will belong to us.”

  Chapter 6

  Kendra

  Us.

There it was, the ugly word indicating I’d be taken by all three men. I’d fallen into a trap, one of my own creation. I couldn’t think clearly, continued to have difficulty breathing. What the hell was I going to do? Where were they taking me?

  Their prisoner.

  Their possession.

  Their… pet.

Why did excitement mix with the sickening apprehension?

“Now, you’re going to be a good little girl and walk up the stairs to the airplane. Then the four of us are going to have a nice long chat.” Sebastian’s voice was commanding as hell, yet there was a hint of amusement. He’d played his own game and won the round.

  Damn him.

“Where are we going?” I demanded. “Just tell me. You at least owe me that.”

“I don’t owe you anything, including an explanation, Caroline. You will do as I say.”

Within seconds, the driver opened the door, remaining just outside as I was allowed to crawl off Sebastian’s lap, my legs shaking as I attempted to get out into the open. A quick glance at my surroundings was all I needed to bolster my courage.

I took off running, heading in the direction of another plane. People were disembarking. If only I could get to them then maybe I’d have a chance.

Strong hands wrapped around my waist within seconds, yanking me backwards, a deep growl rumbling from his throat. My sense of self-preservation shot through my system. I managed to kick Sebastian twice before he swung me around, tossing me over his shoulder.

“That is going to cost you, Caroline.” Taking long strides, he headed for the awaiting plane.

“Let go of me, you bastard.” I pummeled my fists against his back, falling into a spiral of darkness, forced to realize there was nothing I could do. No one was going to help me. Who knew when I would be reported missing.

He laughed softly, smacking my behind several times before taking the stairs two at a time, moving inside.

“Look who arrived. It took you long enough to get here. I almost had to change the flight plan,” Chase said, chuckling under his breath.

“Our girl prefers misbehaving. That was something I needed to deal with. She will learn soon enough what it means to defy our orders.” Sebastian tossed me into a seat, leaning over until his face was maybe centimeters away. “You will sit here like a good girl.”

  “And what if I don’t?”

He brushed his thumb across my mouth. “Then I assure you that you won’t like what happens.”

I couldn’t stop shaking, the cold sweeping through me more like a tidal wave. Even my teeth were chattering as my mind played out all the scenarios of what they might do to me.

No, what they were going to do.

Smiling, he had the nerve to kiss my forehead before rising to his full height, exhaling then walking toward the other end of the plane.

  His plane.

  Their plane.

I sank into the seat, but not before taking another quick glance toward the open hatch. It was too late to try to escape. Dax was already closing and latching it, locking me into a world where I had no control. This wasn’t just an ordinary plane but a posh jet, complete with a full bar, leather seats, and likely every other creature comfort the rich and famous demanded.

Dax gave me a heated look as he walked by, his eyes more intense than before.

“Were you able to complete the deal with Tredegar?” Dax asked quietly, but I was able to catch every word and planned on doing so. They wouldn’t be able to keep me prisoner forever.

Chase moved to a seat across the aisle, studying me intently. I could tell there was something on his mind, questions that he was burning to ask me. I also recognized the hunger in his eyes, the same as I’d seen in Sebastian’s. I found it difficult to breathe, forcing myself to look away.

As the engines roared into life, I gripped the armrests. I’d been forced to leave my purse in the car. My identification. My phone. Everything. I blinked back tears as the two men continued their conversation, as if I wasn’t even on board.

Sebastian pulled a bottle of liquor and glass from a cabinet, pouring a hefty amount. “He avoided my calls, so I went to his office.”

  “And?”

“And I explained things to him. I gave him five additional days to have the signed contract in our offices.”

“Wow, that’s generous coming from you. Are we really going to risk the business deal? Five days could give him time to make a deal with one of the other buyers, including the assholes who’ve been hounding us.”

It was obvious Dax was being guarded with his words.

“Trust me, Dax. We have Mr. Tredegar’s neck in a noose. Besides, we have other business to attend to in the meantime.”

“You’re playing one hell of a game,” Dax huffed, making his own drink.

I doubted I’d be offered the hospitality.

“And you fucked her,” Dax stated as if disgusted by what had occurred at the club. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

Sebastian laughed. “I took what belonged to me. I was also merely priming her.”

  Priming me?

His words weren’t just an insult but a harsh glance into his forbidden as well as secretive world. He was angrier than he’d been before, his face pinched.

Dax was obviously annoyed, grabbing his friend’s arm as he attempted to walk away. While Dax made every attempt to lower his voice to the point where I wasn’t able to hear, the bastards had no idea I had the ability to read lips. That would likely come in handy during my… incarceration.

“I don’t like this. We’ve crossed a line,” Dax huffed, releasing Sebastian’s arm.

“One that was needed. Relax, my friend. Do you have the information I asked you to bring?”

Dax exhaled before opening one of the drawers and handing him a file. “Be careful.”

“Always.” Sebastian walked casually in my direction, easing down into the seat in front of me, the file in his hands. He said nothing as the plane rolled down the taxi, swirling the liquid in his glass. When the jet finally lifted off, he took a deep breath. “Would you like something to drink, Caroline? It’s going to be a very long flight.”

“No, thank you,” I said curtly.

“Or should I call you by the name you actually use?” Sebastian asked the question casually as he sat back in his leather seat, nursing his freaking glass of bourbon.

  Woodford Reserve.

  Neat.

“Ken-dra,” he whispered completely under his breath,
the husky tone creating a dance of sensations all throughout my body.

Wretched visions of what they might do to me filtered into my mind, leaving my mouth dry and my heart racing. They were dangerous, ruthless monsters.

  And I’d defied their authority.

  I’d lied to them.

“What do you want from me?” I asked, digging my nails into the soft leather. I watched as he lifted his drink as if in a toast, a smile of satisfaction crossing his face.

“Kendra Sheffield, reporter for the New York Times,” he continued. “Sister of Addy Sheffield, the true owner of Delicious Confections, the very shop for which you attempted to steal money from our company. Money, keep in mind, that we were prepared to loan you in good faith.”

  This was a nightmare.

“Steal from you? Are you out of your mind?”

“What else would you call it?”

  God, he was enjoying this.

“You should talk. From what I can tell, Extreme Incorporated has extorted hundreds of thousands of dollars from clients.” The words rushed from my mouth without thinking, a horrible trait I couldn’t seem to break myself of. I also had no facts to base my accusations on.

“Tsk. Tsk, little girl. I suggest that you begin to learn your place. You’re in a lot of trouble,” Chase said in passing before laughing. He sat in his two-thousand-dollar Armani suit, flashing his gorgeous hazel eyes as if this was all just a game to him as well as to the other two men who owned the damn company. I wanted to retort but what could I say to him?

Sebastian flipped a page in the file, the contents making him laugh.

Damn him. Damn the entire situation.

As Sebastian looked up from the file he held in his hands, his intense blue eyes shimmered from the sun sparkling in through the small window. “Then again, you use nothing but the initials KK for your ruthless editorials involving prominent businesses and some pretty nasty criminals. I must admit that after reading over almost a dozen of your more recent articles, you really are a creative and detailed reporter. I suppose you’re attempting to expose our methods of operation after distorting our company to your benefit. If I had to guess, you’ve already penned a scathing article that will appear somewhere in the New York Times. As you might imagine, I will not allow that to happen.”

There was no amusement highlighted in the golden flecks surrounding his irises. Instead, his soulless eyes were riddled with rage.

“In fact, you’re going to be punished severely for your horrific infractions as well as attempting to escape. But there will be more.”

My mouth was dry, my nerves on edge. More. When he laughed again, I was shocked I’d even found him attractive before.

A moment of raw fear slithered into my system. Maybe this wasn’t a game after all. I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think clearly. I slowly turned my head, staring out the plane’s window as the clouds passed by. I’d played a game of Russian roulette and I’d lost. I’d been captured by three powerful and dangerous men, forced onto an airplane with the destination unknown.

And I’d fallen into a horrific trap.

  They were brutal.

  Calculating.

  Vile.

  Criminals.

While I had no idea what they might do, my mind reeled from the ugly thoughts. They could make me disappear without a trace.

  Or worse.

How the hell had they found out my real name? I’d gone to great lengths to hide my existence, all in an effort to acquire the story of my career. At that moment, I hated being an investigative reporter. They obviously had connections that I hadn’t anticipated.

“You lied to us, Kendra. For that alone, there will be extensive consequences. Punishment is just the beginning,” Chase said more methodically as he turned his head, the heat of his gaze crawling along every inch of exposed skin on my body.

“Those lies have crossed a line that we’ve decided will need to be handled. Our way,” Dax stated as if he was the voice of authority. “By all rights, we should have you arrested.”

  What?

He had to be kidding me. Having me arrested when their business practices were entirely unscrupulous? Sadly, they were right on several unsavory levels, including I’d signed my name on a loan contract under false pretenses. Fuck. Fuck. And they’d played to my vanity, anticipating that I wouldn’t be fazed by the wretched incident at the club. I’d gotten into the SUV of my own free will. I’d signed the contract accepting not only the ten thousand dollars but an additional one hundred thousand dollars. While I owned a portion of my sister’s business, I doubted my intentions would sway a judge. Would these… assholes actually go that far? They’d handled me brilliantly.

Breathe and think. Garner as much information as possible.

“Where are you taking me?” I managed. “What are you going to do?”

“The destination doesn’t concern you at this point,” Dax offered, a lilt in his voice. “What matters is that you are going to adhere to our rules, as well as to our demands. If not, we will be inclined to call the authorities. And as far as what we’re going to do?”

The bastard allowed the question to remain in the air, likely in some fucking attempt to terrify me.

Well, it worked like a charm.

“Fuck you,” I said without hesitation, although a part of me knew I was prodding the beast. They’d planned this. They’d lured me here like the predators they were. They could take my anywhere, dumping my body into the ocean for all I knew.

Sebastian laughed, swirling the liquid in his glass. He was in his element, not just ruthless but merciless. After very slowly easing the cut crystal as well as the file onto the faux marble table, he rose to his feet, moving in front of me. I recoiled, shuddering from what I was facing.

“She has such a mouth on her,” Chase stated.

“Yes, all in an attempt to sway our decision, as if that could happen. We’ll deal with her caustic mouth at a later time,” Sebastian commented. “I don’t take kindly to anyone who dares to ignore the truth. I also don’t take kindly to someone playing a game. Have you provided some kind of report to your editors? Tell me now.”

Sebastian’s arrogance was even more disgusting than before.

I wanted to lash out, but with three of them, all hulking masses of brawn, there was no way I’d do anything but piss them off even more. There was certainly nowhere I could run. I’d been so stupid, acting as if I could honestly infiltrate their company.

Now I was about to pay the price.

“No! Okay? The three of you are the game players. I applied as one of your contestants,” I retorted.

“Ah, but if you’ve done your homework, you are well aware that we do provide financial assistance once a year.” He took another gulp of his drink before placing the glass back on the table, leaning over as he glared into my eyes.

“And the club?” I hissed through clenched teeth.

“Do you have any idea what we do to our enemies?” Sebastian asked as he jerked me to my feet, the kind of smile crossing his face evoking an even greater sense of danger.

  Seductive.

  Possessive.

“As if I give a shit,” I barked, cringing from the desperate sound in my voice. I yanked my arm, struggling to get away. Then I intentionally did what had occurred accidentally the night before.

I slugged Sebastian, striking him on the same spot.

This time, there was no hesitation or even an expression of pain. He roared as he grabbed me by the throat, pulling me onto my toes. “You don’t seem to realize the predicament that you’re in, little pet.”

“Don’t call me your pet,” I smarted off, driving the heels of my hands against his jacket.

Within seconds, both Dax and Chase rose to their feet, moving closer, the extreme heat of their bodies creating a wave of electricity shooting through every cell and muscle.

“I think it’s time to truly help her understand that she now belongs to us,” Chase murmured, making a horri
ble sound as if succumbing to the animal he truly was.

“Yes,” Sebastian whispered then lowered his head, brushing his lips across mine several times before easing back. He kept his hold for a few seconds, finally taking a deep breath and letting me go.

I shifted my gaze to the side, fighting to maintain my composure. All the rumors were true, the ugliness regarding the kind of men they’d become, the horrors they inflicted on their enemies. They were nothing more than primal beasts who dressed impeccably. As the unmistakable scent of Sebastian’s cologne wafted into my nose, I swayed back and forth.

  Creed Viking cologne.

Everything about Sebastian remained intoxicating, leaving my nipples aching and my pussy quivering. There was a decadence about everything he did, a way of handling those around him that exuded condescension. I loathed the way my body reacted every time they were around. I was sick at my stomach for the betrayal of my senses. But there was no denying the effect the rogue men had on me during the last few days.

  As if they owned me.

All the research I’d done over the past few months really didn’t matter any longer. I’d scoured the internet for hours, finding every picture that had been published. I’d even checked their corporate records. I knew the stores they frequented, what they drank, the cars they preferred, and was able to gather the kind of women they were interested in.

  And they hungered for me.

Sebastian kept the filthy smile on his face as he lifted my chin with a single finger, cocking his head as he studied me. “Things are about to become difficult for you, our sweet and tasty Kendra. I suggest you accept the fact that you crossed a forbidden line.” His perfectly manicured nail dug into my skin, just another reminder that he believed the world belonged to him.

My cheeks burned from the humiliation that even now I was aroused, a sickening rush of adrenaline mixing with anxiety.

And still, there was burning excitement furrowing deep inside.

“First, we’re going to deal with your insolence,” Chase said from behind me.
