She shifted Bobby around in her arms, put her hand behind Josiah’s head to pull him down for another, deeper kiss. “I love you too, Josiah, with every fiber of my being. The luckiest day of my life was when we walked down from the train station and were married.” She moved Bobby aside, and pulled Josiah down to her breast. “Just a little taste, my darling, until we can resume our love making.”

With his mouth on the breast, he tugged on the nipple, then ran his tongue around it’s pebbly surface, bringing forth a deep throated moan. He pulled back and said, “That was good, but hardly satisfying. Bobby can have the rest.”

Bobby happily returned to his meal. Josiah stood, then kissed Anna again, taking advantage of the parting of her lips to give him access. “I am the luckiest man in the world,” he said, just before sliding his tongue against hers. “I have my family, my health and a beautiful woman to love,” he said. “Now, I have to get some work done before the hands shame me for loafing. Before I go, would you marry me again?”

“In a heartbeat,” she said. “In a heartbeat.”

  ABOUT SUSAN LEIGH CARLTON

Susan lives in a gated community just outside Tomball, Texas with her husband, two toy poodles and Lissie the cat..

Not Quite A Mail Order Bride is her latest book to be published by Amazon. She says, “This is my favorite of all the books I have written. It’s the same with all of them. The latest is the favorite. I tend to be a friend of my characters, talking to them and listening to them.800 Bering Drive, Suite 305 Houston, TX 77057 I also tend to be emotional and found myself becoming choked up while I was writing the scene where Martha hugged her new sons immediately after the wedding ceremony.

She also monitors all of the reviews and comments. She says “I revise my writing process and style accordingly. This is a learning process for me and I love every bit of it.”

The names of all her books are on the pages following this one.

She says, “My thanks to you readers. I appreciate your taking the time to read them. As an avid reader myself, I will read several books during the time I am writing. Our kids love to read as does my husband. He takes his iPad with him everywhere and reads during waits for the doctor.

Thanks again. Now I can begin research on my next effort. If you have suggestions for additional books, I would love to hear them. Email them to me or enter them as comments on the website.”

  EPILOGUE

Reports of Indian raids continued to sift in as the relationship with the Army deteriorated and culminated in the Great Sioux War of 1876. One of the main battles of this war was at the Little Big Horn, where Chief Sitting Bull soundly defeated the Seventh Cavalry, killing General George Armstrong Custer and his troops.

As far as Josiah knew, Anna never heard about any of the Indian problems. Life continued on an even keel in the Moore household. Music was a staple in their home. Anna delivered another son, Caleb and a daughter whom they named Margaret. With their grandfather, Caleb retired, both grandparents were present for the birth and christening of both grandchildren..

Rebecca relished playing the big sister. She was a strong protector of her brother. After graduating from the University of Wyoming in Laramie with her degree in music, she entered the teaching profession, first at the high school and then at the university where she would eventually head the fledgling music department. At the ripe old age of twenty four, she married the son of one of the university professors. They would eventually provide Josiah and Anna with four grandchildren.

Bobby also graduated from the University of Wyoming as a mining engineer. He and his wife also provided grandchildren to their parents.

The Diablo ranch continued to grow and prosper under the leadership of Josiah and his son, Caleb, Anna taught both daughters piano and led the family music sessions each evening.
