She thought the ride ended now, and emptiness filled her as she lowered her ass to the bed. There was something her body needed, cried out for. If she understood, knew what it wanted, maybe he could take care of it. But, she didn’t have a clue. Her fingers bit into his arms. She searched his face, his eyes and then he gave her slow thrusts. Tingles raced up her body and through the nerves of her face. Her eyes closed. It felt damn good, too good to question, too wonderful to stop.

Moved by it all, she looked up at him and he watched her. Unable to stop herself, she tenderly caressed the side of his face. The words were right there on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn’t tell him this had never happened before.

“Oh,” she choked out. Her nails dug into his hips when sudden pressure built within her clit and he hit just right. She threw her head back when convulsions spiraled through her. Air whooshed from her lungs and incoherent mumbles of pleasure barely penetrated the blood rushing through her head. She collapsed, letting her grip on him loosen.

Allen moved to her side and she barely registered his hand caressing her head or his lips brushing over her forehead. But when he tried to take her in his arms, she held him off with a hand. She turned away from him, hating how emotionally exposed she’d become.

“Hey, talk to me.” He caressed her arm. “Is it your foot? I guess we forgot about it.”

She shook her head and sniffled, not bothering to hide the fact he brought her to tears. “Just give me a few minutes. Please.”

He kissed her shoulder and told her, “I’ll get some ice for it and a couple of drinks.”

She took slow breaths in and out to calm her body as well as her mind. She sniffled again and he handed her the tissue box from the nightstand. “I’ll be right back.”

When she heard the click of the door, she hobbled to the bathroom and shut the door. It wasn’t like her to become so emotional. That part of her makeup had been shut off years ago. Why they overtook her now, she wouldn’t have been able to explain if he had asked her. She splashed her face with cold water to wash the tears away, but when she grabbed the towel, she saw herself in the mirror. She looked past the teary eyes and saw a stranger. Someone she never knew existed and wasn’t sure she liked. This person felt things she didn’t want to feel.

She soaped a washcloth and tried to wash away the blotchiness, and ran a brush through her hair. Ok, sit here for a minute. It was the emails. They got into my head and played their own little fantasy. A tap on the door made her jump.

  “Cheri?”

“I’ll be out in minute.” She looked down at her injured foot. Ok, you have to cooperate so I can get rid of the doctor. When she stood and placed pressure on it, the pain wasn’t too unbearable until she actually tried to walk. Squeezing her eyes shut for a moment, she waited out the sharp pain.

After a deep breath, she opened the door and saw him shoving bottles of water in the ice bucket. Damn. He plans to stay. She didn’t know if she’d be able to handle another romp with him. He turned when she came through the doorway. She averted her eyes and moved gingerly toward the closet. She pulled her bathrobe from the hanger and slipped it on.

  “Your foot is bleeding again.”

She looked down at it. “It’s not too bad. I’ll call down for a first aid kit.”

“Come sit down and I’ll redress it.”

“I’m sure you have other things you need to do.”

“There is, but not at home.”

The suggestive tone of his words took her breath away. She gripped the belt of her robe when her heart began to pound. “How about we meet for brunch tomorrow?” She couldn’t be any clearer without being rude. She needed space to put what happened in perspective.

He studied her with narrowed eyes. “I’m staying and tomorrow we’ll see how the foot is.”

She refused to look at him. If he saw any of the emotions she felt, he’d use it. “Allen, this can’t be personal. I need to sleep and I can’t do that if you’re here.”

“Shut up and sit down!” Shocked by the order, she stared at him and his eyes never wavered.

She sat on the bed. “Ok, you can redress it, but then you have to leave.”

He pulled the first aid supplies from his jacket pocket. “Scoot back, please.”

She moved back on the bed and watched him remove the tape and bandages. Her skin tingled with remembrance as his fingers grazed her skin. “Do you work tomorrow? I didn’t think to ask before.”

“No. This is my weekend off.”

“Well, don’t let me spoil any plans you had.”

“Still hoping the guy will contact you?” he asked.

“Doesn’t matter. I told you, I can only have one donor at a time.”

He went into the bathroom and came back with a wet washcloth. “I guess I should have used a skin adhesive. I’m sorry.”

  “It’s not a big deal.”

After wiping up around the cut, he applied more cream and fresh bandages. “If you still have problems with it tomorrow, I’ll get some adhesive.” He stood, pulled the bedding back and propped the pillows against the headboard. “Move on up here and get comfortable.”

Once she settled in, he draped the blanket over her and handed her the water bottle he’d set on the nightstand. “Drink, it will help settle you.”

“I don’t need handled.” She snatched the bottle, pissed at him for taking over and at herself for letting him.

“Can I get you anything else?”

“My laptop. I’d like to check my email and check in with the restaurant.” She knew she sounded cold and ungrateful, but she wasn’t used to being pampered.

  “Sure thing.”

He retrieved the laptop from the desk and handed it to her as he joined her on the bed. She half watched him while she opened it and hit the power button. He seemed perfectly content to be here. Like the norm. “Do you do this often?”

  “Do what?”

“Rescue damsels in distress and then spend the night with them.”

“Only the ones who need a little extra attention.”

Cheri rolled her eyes. “I’m serious.”

“So am I. Chemistry, fate, whatever you want to call it—we’re good together.” He gave her hand a squeeze. “When you relax and let go.”

The laptop beeped as it booted up and he turned the television on while his thumb caressed the back of her hand. Beneath the laptop, a wild pulse throbbed at the center of her pussy causing her to bite down on her lip. She pulled her hand from his and typed in her password.

She opened Outlook and let it pick up her mail. To ease the throb, she moved her leg to the edge of the bed while the mail appeared in the inbox. She frowned when she saw Darius had emailed her. However, she opted to open the email from Lucas, her assistant manager.

Cheri, somehow additional large reservations were taken. Thought I’d better give you a heads-up. I’m sure we’ll be fine. Lucas

Cheri mumbled, “Fuck.” She knew what’d been on the books when she left that morning and additional parties could bite them in the ass. They invariably did. She hit reply.

  “Something wrong?” Allen asked.

She typed in, Lucas, let Emily handle them and keep me posted. I’ll call tomorrow.—and hit send.

“Just a reflexive reaction to stupidity.” She clicked next to read the email from her oldest sister. “The guy did email,” she told him and, when he didn’t respond right away, she looked up at him. Her mouth opened, but what could she say? The tightness around his mouth and the twitch under his eye couldn’t possibly mean he was worried she’d turn to Darius for the rest of the weekend. It wasn’t possible if she wanted to. Didn’t he get it?

Her breath caught when he pierced her with his eyes. “What did he have to say?”

  “I haven’t opened it yet.”

“Afraid you’ll regret taking me up on my offer?” he asked as he folded his arms across his chest.

Damn, what has she gotten herself into? Worried, she turned b
ack to the computer and brought up his email. Her sister could wait. It would bring up an interrogation if she saw the time of the email.

I’m sorry, baby. Being held up with work. Would you mind meeting me at seven instead? I’ll make it up to you. Promise. Darius

She shut the system down, hating herself for the predicament she had gotten herself into. Damn men! When the screen went black, Allen closed the lid and took the machine from her.

“Ready for the light to go out?”

“Yeah, thanks.” She adjusted her body down in the bed and turned away from him. The bed shifted and she heard him undressing. The vision of his nakedness turned her throb into an out and out infernal. The bed dipped and the blankets moved. She stiffened when the heat of his body came close. Her juices flowed onto her thighs and she squeezed her eyes shut when the urgent need to be touched crawled over her pussy and settled around her clit. She groaned.

He lightly touched her head with his fingers. “If your foot aches, I can call down for an ice pack”

Oh, God, he’s got to be kidding. “It’s fine,” she snapped. The last thing she ever wanted to do was to share her bed with a man, but since he was here, she needed him to do more than lay there or play doctor. As if he knew her thoughts, he slid his hand around her as his body moved close.

“Want to talk about it?” he asked. “What did he have to say for himself?”

She ran her tongue over her dry lips. “Work kept him and he asked me to meet him at seven. So, I stood him up.”

“Do you want to call the restaurant and let him know you had an accident?”

“No, when I figure out what to say, I’ll email him.” Guilt ate at her. While he sat waiting, probably watching the door as she’d done, she’d been on Allen’s bed wishing he’d do exactly, well, almost exactly, what they’d done in her bed. She squeezed her eyes shut. A small part of her wondered if she’d have been better off with Darius Markum. “I should have checked my email before I left the room.”

“And miss this?” he whispered next to her ear while his fingers ran slow circles around her belly. Her skin quivered. He nipped her earlobe as he pulled her robe up, lifted her leg, and slipped his cock into her pool of wetness. The slow, deep thrusts melted any reservation she had of sharing a bed with him.

“Oh, yes,” she moaned. She felt his fingers dip into her wetness and move to massage her clit.

Cheri struggled with wanting to press into his fingers and push back against his hips. She grasped the edge of the mattress when a finger-like current flowed through her belly. He moaned and unloaded cum in the depths of her pussy. She groaned when he stilled. The driving force of her quivering muscles urged him to continue. Allen started to pull out.

“Don’t,” she said. But, he ignored her. She whimpered then faced him. Her eyes met his, but it wasn’t easy to read them in the semi-darkness. She frowned. Uncontrollable spasms shot through her, driving her hips toward him.

“Baby, I know what you want. Tell me what you need,” he requested near her ear.

“Help me,” she gasped. “I don’t know how to deal with this… these feelings. I’ve never…” She gripped his arm when her quivering flesh screamed for his cock.

“Never what?” He ran a finger across her bottom lip.

She ran her fingers through her hair. “It hurts. Please.”

“Tell me how to help you.” He nipped her upper lip. “What do you need me to do?”

His breath across her mouth caused her heart to stutter. Oh, fuck! Shudders swept through her. “Allen, touch me.”

  “I am touching you.”

She licked the finger caressing her lips. “My pussy, ease the raging fire of my pussy. Do what you did before?” She groaned. “I need you to fuck the hell out of me.”

“Would you like me to use my mouth?” He flicked the tip of her nose with his tongue. “Or thrust my cock deep in your pussy and let your muscles clench around it?” He slipped his finger between her lips and she sucked as he thrust it in and out. She pressed against him, rubbing her clit over his cock, while his tongue traced a path down her neck to the opening of her robe.

“Yes, yes. Do it all. Do anything you want. The need hurts so fuckin’ bad.” He gripped her thigh and pulled it over him as he pressed against her. “NO! No more torture,” she whispered when it only fed the flames. “Allen, please. Whatever you did before, make it happen again.”

“You’ve never had an orgasm before tonight, have you?” She shook her head while his fingers undid the belt of her robe. He brushed her lips with his. “Let’s get you out of this.”

When the confining fabric disappeared, he skimmed her breasts with a finger. “Damn, you’re cruel.” She ran her tongue over her lips, watching him under lowered lashes.

“Such perfect, soft and supple flesh,” he spoke with quiet reverence.

Mesmerized by his touch, she stared into his green pools as he caressed her flesh. The depths pulled her in as the terrifying connection took her breath away. “Allen, don’t, I—”

He lowered to her mouth, gently kissing corner to corner. The palm of his hand skimmed over her nipple as his fingers molded her breast, causing her hips to sink and rise with more rhythm then before. She tangled her fingers in his hair and brought his head closer, deepening the kiss. Heat followed his fingers as he moved down and into her fiery mound. He rammed his fingers into her pussy and she rose on a guttural moan that vibrated around his tongue. His fingers fucked her hard, massaged her clit, and fucked her again. She rested her head against his chin, gasping, “Oh, God! That’s it. Don’t stop,” she whispered.

She felt his thumb over her clit and his fingers tapping the wall. Oh, God, it felt good. She arched her back and wrapped her arms around his neck. It’s happening again. He’s really doing it again. I’m coming again. Her body jerked and shuddered. It feels so good. “So, good. So good.”

He kissed her forehead, her nose and hovered over her mouth. “I just took the edge off,” he assured her.

She lifted and moved over his mouth with a fever, their tongues chased from hot recess to hot recess. Her hands caressed and kneaded their way down the flesh of his back. A flood of emotions swept through her and she broke contact, tipping her head back for air. His mouth skimmed down her throat to the cleft of her collarbone. She had no idea there were so many places that could send scorching heat straight through to the apex of her thighs, but he found them. The tip of his tongue teased a path down between her breasts and her hips rose, searching for something, anything. She found nothing to appease the need driving her wild. She pushed him onto his back, nipped his bottom lip, grazed his jaw line with her teeth and felt his hips rise. Realizing her power, she traced the edge of his ear, nibbled on the earlobe, and probed the center.

His hands grabbed her waist and brought her body over his. She wrapped him in her fiery wet heat. Shudders swam through her as she drew out each stroke. “Oh Allen.” She blew out, barely able to see him through the haze.

He caressed her through the slick sweat on her back, then rolled her and continued the slow, torturous thrusts she’d began. “Oh, faster,” she begged. Her inner muscles gripped him causing her body to tremble. So fantastic! She ran her hands over her his sweaty chest, lingered over his nipples, turning them into hard nubs. He thrust harder, deeper, until she stiffened and her fingernails bit into his skin. “Oh…yeah,” she whispered as the waves of another orgasm claimed her. She drew him down and held onto his strong shoulders as the moans and the rhythm of their bodies caused her to strain for a deep, intense release. It frightened her to feel this uncontrolled, this wonderful. And to hear his heavy breathing near her ear told her he wasn’t immune.

“Let it consume you.” He ran his tongue around her ear, each motion bringing it closer to the center.

“Oh my God!” Her body slammed into his and she forgot to breathe. He probed the center of her ear causing the clash of one orgasm ending and the beginning of a new one. She arched, strained,
and pressed into him until her body convulsed, sending her into a state of euphoria. Barely aware of his body weighing her down, she slipped into darkness.

Cheri opened her eyes and found herself face-to-face with a man in her bed. For a moment, panic raced through her. Then memories of them rolling around on the bed, hands running over skin, mouths tasting and tongues tangling had her body coming alive. He’d done things to her… Hell, she’d done things with him no other man had taken the time to allow. The orgasms and the promises in the emails sent by another man had been fulfilled by this man. Oh, God! The fire began in the depths of her being again. She needed him to wake and take her to the clouds of heaven again. Flashes of danger in red neon rolled before her eyes when she reached out to touch his boyish face. She yanked it back.

Before she allowed the night to rule over her common sense, she turned away and eased from the bed to test her foot. It hurt, but if she was careful, maybe it wouldn’t bleed again.

She went to the bathroom and shut the door. After turning on the shower and removing the gauze covering, she stepped under the warm water. Once his scent and his touch were washed away, she attempted to rebuild her protective wall. She needed to return home with it intact. Home. She hadn’t thought about that. But, yes, even if it cost a new ticket on a different airline, she had to leave today, this morning. Get away from this man who threatened her plans. At least Allen had given her enough sperm so at least one or two should find their way to an egg in the next twenty-four hours. Shoot, how long did the sperm survive? She rinsed her hair and tried to remember. Wasn’t it almost three days? Well, whatever, it’d better be enough because she can’t stay for another round.
