Dirty Indiscretions: A Dark Mafia Romance Page 37

by Roxy Sinclaire

I put all the negative thoughts aside and continued to prepare for my date. I decided to change my hair and put the final touches on my makeup. I was trying to keep positive about the date and everything, but negative thoughts still kept creeping up. I just couldn’t shake the fact that something bad was going to happen between us.

I was about to head out of the house and head to the bus stop. I just had to let the thoughts go. I focused on our date. I just wanted to see him again and to be held by him and to kiss him again. I also needed a break from my studies. I was feeling a bit stressed. I needed some fun in my life.

Before I could step out the door, Dad stopped me.

  “Hey, where are you going?”

“Out. I have a date with Nick tonight,” I replied.

  “Oh, okay.”

  “Bye dad,” I said.

“No, wait. I will take you,” he offered.

  “Uh, thanks Dad.”

“Yeah, I have a lot to make up for. So at least I can drop off my little girl and apologize to the young man who is taking her out.”

I was shocked. My dad never had an interest in my personal life and I didn’t think he would ever care. This was quite interesting.

I responded, “Wow, okay Dad. Well, I guess you can apologize when you drop me off then.”

“I will. I have so much to make up for. Just give me a minute to get ready and I will take you.”

  “Okay, Dad.”

I had to admit. I was impressed by my father’s efforts. He finally got ready and we talked while we made our way to the restaurant. We then arrived outside. Dad was quite impressed that Nick had chosen this restaurant.

“Wow, what a fancy place,” he exclaimed.

“Nick does have taste, you know.”

  “Okay, okay. I get it.”

We then made our way inside the restaurant. I could see that my father was a bit nervous.

“Hey April….” Nick called my name as he walked up to me.

He was about to hug me when he saw my father standing just behind me.

“Hi, you must be April’s dad,” he greeted my father.

He stuck out his hand and my father shook it.

  “I am.” Dad acknowledged.

“Well, it’s nice to finally meet you.” Nick continued.

  “Uh, likewise.”

I could see my dad was quite impressed. Nick did have a firm handshake which was a good sign.

“So, I don’t plan to stay long. I just decided to drop off April and I wanted to apologize for my behavior. It was out of line and I shouldn’t have behaved like that. I also wanted to say thank you for getting me a job at the stadium.” my dad said.

“Oh, it’s okay. Don’t worry about it.” said Nick, brushing my father's thanks aside.

“Okay, well I will leave the two of you to your date.” my father said.

  “Bye Dad and thanks again.”

  “No problem.”

He waved and left us alone on our date.

Nick then held the chair for me and we sat down. He held my hand under candlelight. He looked deeply into my eyes. He leaned in and kissed me. As he stroked my hand within his grasp, he reached up and caressed my face with the other.

“Hey, look. I am really sorry that my dad behaved like that. He was…in a rough place,” I said.

“I understand. He got fired and he was drinking.” Nick replied.

“Yeah, thank you for understanding,” I said softly.

“Of course. I missed you,” he declared.

“I missed you too,” I murmured.

  We kissed again.

“So what are you in the mood for?” he asked.

“I think I'll have the Chicken Alfredo. And once again, I’m really sorry,” I offered.

“Look, stop apologizing. It isn’t your fault. Let’s just enjoy each other's company. I know you do have to study and I won’t be able to see you soon,” he reminded me.

“Yeah, I know. But I still want to find a way to make it up to you.”

“Once again, you don’t have to. You really don’t have to.”

“But I want to. I really do.”

“But, we can talk about it later. Maybe after this?” He said as pulled out two tickets for a basketball game from his pocket.

“Oh my…thank you!” I exclaimed as I got up off my chair and hugged him.

“Let’s hurry up and eat. The game starts in three hours,” he said.

  “Great. Let’s eat quickly.”

The rest of the date was spent eating in silence. I was so excited to get to go to the game! Getting to spend some time with my boyfriend who was quite the gentleman and who made me so very happy was just a nice bonus.

As soon as our orders came, we ate. We talked about everything and joked with one another. I also took it as an opportunity to learn more about him. He immediately opened up and I felt more comfortable being around him. He wasn’t afraid to tell me his deepest fears and his darkest secrets. I was beginning to feel more comfortable around him and he did with me.

As soon as Nick paid the bill, we got into the car and made our way to the stadium for the game. It was a huge turn-out. I had never seen so many people inside the stadium before. People were cheering and getting hyped up about the game. I could feel the excitement. Also, it was nice to actually see a game here for once.

Nick leaned in and kissed my forehead.

“Oh, I can’t wait for this game to start.”

  “Me neither.”

He held my hand tightly. I put my head on his shoulder and he kissed my forehead. We were waiting for the game to start.

And then, it started. I was ready! The teams began to walk on the field. Everyone was cheering and rooting for their team. Nick smiled at me, but I didn’t care. The game was on. And it was an exciting one! I hadn’t seen this much action in a long time. Neither did Nick. Our team was doing pretty well, but the other’s side's defense was pretty strong and they were catching up.

I looked at the cheerleaders and felt a sense of envy. They looked so cute in their little outfits. I never had the confidence to try out for the squad. It didn’t seem like I would get picked.

Nick noticed that I was quiet.

  “What’s wrong?” he asked.

“I have always wanted to be a cheerleader, but I didn’t think I should.”

“That’s a shame. They really missed out.”

  “Why do you say that?”

“You would have made a very sexy cheerleader. Plus, I’d get to see you on the field for a change.”

  I smiled at him naughtily.

“Well, maybe you can actually see me in a uniform. I have one at home,” I teased.

I could tell that this piqued his interest.

“Oh really? I’d love to see that sometime.”

I smirked at him, “Maybe you will.”

  “Hmm…. sounds tempting.”

  “I know,” I chuckled.

We then turned our attention back to the game and he gripped my thigh. The game was getting interesting. The two teams were neck and neck and the game was getting so exciting. The score was tied and our team had the ball. The point guard dribbled the ball across the court to the three-point line and shot the ball with a second left and made it! Nick and I got up and screamed! Our team won! We won!

I jumped up and down for joy.

Nick stared at me and said, “Yeah, you would have been a perfect cheerleader. You have the beauty and the brains.”

I didn’t know whether it was the excitement of the game or the compliment he had just given me, but I pulled him closer to me and kissed him passionately.

When we came up for breath he said, “Hmm… Maybe I should take you to more games.”

  “Maybe you should.”

He kissed me again and then we headed outside of the stadium. We headed back to his car and began to make out. He then began to grab my thigh.

“Oh God, April. I have missed you so much,” he whispered.

; He then traced my thighs with his fingertips. I was beginning to shiver.

He looked at me with a devilish grin.

“Maybe we should head back to your place?” he suggested slyly.

“Uh, yeah. It’s getting pretty late.”

  “Okay, let’s go.”

He started the car and we drove back to my place. On the way we were talking about the highlights of the game. He decided to disrupt the flow of the conversation to compliment me. As we came to a lull in the conversation, he said,

“Can I just say how refreshing it is to know a girl that understands the game?”

I beamed, gratified by his compliment. It seemed like he didn’t meet a lot of girls like me. I almost felt sorry for him. I was glad that I was different from the other girls. He seemed to appreciate that.

“Well, maybe you should have started dating a different kind of woman a long time ago,” I stated.

“True, but we might have never met,” he agreed.

“However, if it was meant to be, we would have eventually met,” I replied.

He grinned as he said, “I know and honestly, I’m glad that I met you.”

I smiled. It was one of the sweetest things that I had ever heard.

  “Really?” I asked coyly.

“Yeah, I mean it. April, there is no one else quite like you. You are just so…interesting.”

That wasn’t the adjective I was going for, but I’ll take it.

“I meant it in a good way. I wished women would have more substance like you. I mean I can have a conversation with you. I can be myself around you. It’s just so, so…” his voice trailed off.

“Easy. Yeah, I feel the same way too,” I responded.

  He kissed me once again.

“I’m glad that you do. I really do feel extremely comfortable around you, April. I can talk to you about everything.”

“Yeah, I know what you mean.”

  “Yeah, cool. I’m really glad.”

We finally arrived back at my house.

“So, about that cheerleading outfit of yours…,” he began.

  “Yes?”

“Am I going to see it tonight?”

“No, sorry. I have to get back to studying. I have a lot to catch up on. Besides, my dad is home and I don’t think it would be a good idea if you came upstairs.”

Nick looked disappointed. He really wanted to see me in the uniform.

“Aww okay, I really wanted to see you in the outfit shaking those pom-poms of yours, but I completely understand. Another time then?” he suggested.

“Yeah, another time. I’ve got to pass these exams. They are so important to me,” I said.

“I know. You really want to get that internship.”

“Yes, I do. And who knows? Maybe after exams, we can…make up for lost time,” I hinted.

He growled as I carefully caressed his thigh.

“Sure I can’t try to change your mind?” he pressed.

He looked at me with those deep, seductive eyes. He began to stroke my thighs once again and then my arms. He leaned in and kissed me. I had to admit that he was pretty convincing and I was this close to sneaking him in, but I stopped myself before it went any further.

“Nice try, but I have to go upstairs. Thanks for the date and the game,” I said as I pulled back a little.

“You’re welcome. I hope we get to do it again,” he said.

  “Yeah, after exams,” I promised.

I kissed him goodbye and headed inside. As soon as I got in, I saw my father was waiting up for me.

“So how was the date?” he asked.

“It was pretty good actually,” I told him.

“Great. He seems like a really nice guy. It was really nice of him to get me that job.”

“Yeah, it was,” I kissed him on the cheek and then headed upstairs to continue studying.

He then blew the horn of the car and waved goodbye.

  “Bye Nick.”

  “Bye April.”

I then watched him speed off into the distance.

  Nick

As I drove home, I couldn’t stop thinking about that date. April looked so attractive. I really wanted to go upstairs and show her how much I appreciated the way she looked. For someone who is up at night studying, she looked quite fresh and well rested. And extremely hot.

I wanted to make love to her so badly! I missed it already and she was…amazing. I never felt such passion with another woman before. She just…wow.

I think I need to take it easy. I was getting turned on and although I was good at football, I really didn’t want to be dealing with blue balls. I was beginning to crave her and I needed to stop myself. I wished I could have changed her mind. She was working so hard and looked like she could use a longer break.

Even though I didn’t get to do what I really wanted to do, I still had a great time with her, like I always did. I felt a bit weird to be going home given that Dad and I got into a fight before I left. I hoped that he would get over this class conscious mentality that he seemed to have and just accept the fact that April was who I truly loved and wanted to be with.

As soon as I arrived home, I realized that all of my things were outside on the lawn. I was thinking to myself, “What the hell was going on?” as I picked up some of my boxers off of the grass. I gathered all of my things and sighed. As I was picking up my things, I noticed a note from my father. Apparently, he thought that I was stubborn and too opinionated to be living under the same room with him. He didn’t know where this behavior came from and he just didn’t like it.

So he was kicking me out. He did say that if I ever changed my mind, that he would let me move back in and reactivate my bank accounts. I sat there on the curb. I couldn’t believe that my father, my own family would do something like this to me. I didn’t even know. I still couldn’t believe that he would do this! Although he was a very serious man and wasn’t one to be taken lightly, I didn’t expect him to actually go through with it.

I looked at the house once again and sighed. I guess I would have to figure out where I would be living now. I no longer had access to my room or the food or the maids. But I did have access to the car at least. I decided to put my things in the car and sat there for a while. I didn’t know where else to go.

I decide to head back to the stadium and just stay there. It was the only other place that felt like home. I looked at the empty field and just wished things were different. I really wished that my father would accept April as the woman I loved. I wish I wasn’t so financially dependent on my father because then I could have stood on my own two feet, instead of letting him dictate my finances and trying to tell me who I should love and date.

I was so mad! I headed to the locker room and punched the locker. I looked at the dent I made and sighed. I didn’t have money to pay for this. I needed to think of a plan. I sat down on the benches in the locker room. My things were still in the car and I was beginning to feel sleepy. I was contemplating sleeping in my car, but my car was too small and didn’t exactly have a backseat to lie down on.

I decided to call one of my teammates. I hated talking to the guys about personal things, but I needed a place to crash. First person I decided to call was Mitch. He was one of the more laid-back guys on the team and a bit nicer than the other guys.

I called him and explained the whole situation to him. I told him how I had been seeing April and that my dad didn’t approve of the relationship and threatened to kick me out and then actually did so.

“Wait, so you’re still seeing her?” Mitch asked.

“If you mean April, then yes,” I replied.

  “Wow, she’s so hot!”

Right, Mitch was also a complete meathead. He was a sweet kid, but wasn’t a smart one. I’m beginning to think those tackles do a lot more than just physical damage.

“Yeah, so Dad actually kicked me out. I may need a place to stay for a while. Is it okay if I crash at your place?”

  “Yeah, sure. No pro
blem,” he said.

  “Can I stay there tonight?”

  “Yeah, of course,” he answered.

  “Okay, thanks a lot.”

  “Don’t mention it, bro.”

I was relieved that I didn’t have to sleep inside the stadium tonight. I decided to head to his place and attempt to get some sleep. When I finally got to Mitch’s place, he greeted me at the door. I heard a female voice. Apparently, Mitch had company. This was surprising to me since he seemed to keep to himself a lot.

  “Hey,” I greeted him.

  “What’s up, Nick?” he retorted.

After we greeted each other and he invited me inside. The apartment wasn’t as messy as I thought it would be. Mitch wasn’t exactly one of the neatest persons I knew. Perhaps his new friend coming over had something to do with the change in his environment.

  “Wow, I haven’t been here since…,” I started.

“That party I threw last year. I know! Was crazy right?!” he chortled.

“Yeah, it was pretty intense!” I agreed.

“I’m thinking of having another one soon.”

  “Sounds pretty good!”

“So…. Sorry about your whole dad situation, man. That’s pretty cold.” Mitch said.

  “Yeah,” I replied.

“Well, the guest bedroom is upstairs. First door on your left.”

  “Yeah, thanks.”

I headed upstairs and put my bags down. The guest bedroom was quite small. Smaller than what I was used to. I sat on the bed and sighed. I was just frustrated that Dad chose this time to kick me out of the house. Just when finals were coming up and the team had some of the biggest games. I got into bed and lay there. I was just trying to process everything. I can’t believe that my dad could be so controlling! It was so frustrating! I sighed to myself. It wasn’t like me to feel sorry for myself. But here I was wallowing.

Suddenly, my stomach began to growl. I groaned and got out of bed. I made my way downstairs and prayed there was food in the house.

I finally headed downstairs and I saw Mitch talking to a tall blonde. They seemed to be deep into conversation. I looked at the way Mitch stared at her. I could tell that he really liked her.

I hated to interrupt their conversation, so I headed into the kitchen. Just as I was almost there, my stomach growled loudly. They turned around and looked at me. The girl laughed.
