Dirty Indiscretions: A Dark Mafia Romance Page 38

by Roxy Sinclaire

“Wow, are you that hungry?!” She exclaimed.

  I felt a bit embarrassed.

  “Uh, sorry guys,” I apologized.

Mitch decided it wasn’t a big deal.

“So not only did he kick you out of the house, but he didn’t leave anything for you to eat?”

  I shrugged my shoulders.

“Wow, I can’t believe he would do something like that. Anyways, Cindy made dinner and there are some leftovers in the kitchen if you want,” he offered.

  “Yeah, thanks.”

  “No problem.”

They then resumed their conversation. I still felt embarrassed. That was one way for my new roommates to get to know me. I hated being hungry all of the time, but I had to eat. It was for a good cause. Although I went to dinner with April, I had to eat seven times a day to keep my muscle mass. Sometimes it annoyed me, but I do what I can for the team.

I checked the fridge and there was some spaghetti and meatballs in a container. I opened the container and I could smell how good it was before I took some out and popped it into the microwave. As I punched the buttons, my mind suddenly focused on April. I wished she was here. It would have been nice. I began to fantasize about the last time we had sex. I couldn’t wait until her exams were over so that we could do it again.

As I began to fantasize about her perfect body, the microwave went off. I took my food out of it and my stomach began to growl again. The aroma was so tempting. I sat down at the table and began to eat. It was so good! I took another bite and in no time, the plate was spotless.

I put the dish in the sink and began to wash it. Cindy came into the kitchen and was shocked to see me doing the dishes.

“Oh you don’t have to do that.”

“Nah, it’s cool. I’m a guest here. I should help out however I can. By the way, did you really make that? I asked.

“You mean the spaghetti and meatballs? Yes, I did. My mother taught me how to cook when I was younger,” she replied.

“Well, she did an excellent job.”

“Thanks,” she said. Then she continued, “Yeah, look sorry about your dad kicking you out. I believe that you shouldn’t turn your back on family.”

“Yeah, so do I. Umm…Can we not bring that back up?”

  “Yeah, okay,” she agreed.

I could see that Cindy thought she had touched a nerve. Maybe she had. But, honestly I just wanted to move forward. I had things to think about and I didn’t want the fact that my dad kicked me out to be one of them.

I went back to washing the dishes when Cindy swooped in and did them.

“It’s your first night here. Don’t worry about dishes so much,” she said.

She then began to wash them and put them to dry.

“But don’t think you won’t have to do chores around the apartment.” she added.

  “Okay, got you.”

I headed outside the kitchen and saw Mitch watching the recordings of some football games. I never knew he was this committed to the sport.

“Hey! Just watching some clips of previous games,” he said.

“Wow! How did you get them?” I wanted to know.

“Oh, I begged the coach to give me the tapes. I told him that it can improve our stats and we can see the weaknesses of the other team.”

“Wow…That’s really smart,” I complimented him.

  “Yeah, thanks.”

Well, this was weird. I always saw Mitch as a meathead. Turns out, he was a very smart guy. I also didn’t know that he was the first in his family to attend college. He was on a sports scholarship and his GPA was 3.2. I just couldn’t make sense of all of this.

“So why do you act like a complete idiot on the field?” I wondered.

“That’s because it’s just easier that way. I think if the team knew I was a complete nerd, I’d be tortured mercilessly.”

Although I didn’t like what he was saying and I didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t being himself, I knew there was some truth to it. I mean there is nothing wrong with being good at sports and being incredibly smart, but some of the guys who had very fragile egos wouldn’t take that very well. It was annoying.

“Look, nothing is wrong with being smart and being an athlete. I can’t believe there is still that stupid stereotype,” I fumed.

“Yeah, I know. But sometimes you can’t change people. You can only change yourself.”

  “Yeah…”

We were joined by Cindy, who although she didn’t seem that interested in the game, sat there and watched some of the plays. Then I headed upstairs and tried to sleep, but I couldn’t. I was still mad at my father. I was still in shock that he could just kick family out like that.

I then decided to think about more pleasant things. Images of April filled my mind and I was beginning to feel at peace. I slowly began to close my eyes and was grateful that at least I still had April in my life. Suddenly, it just felt easier to go to sleep.

The next day, I woke up and looked around me. I was still in disbelief that my dad had kicked me out. I tried to take a shower, but the bathroom was currently occupied. I decided to head downstairs where I found some breakfast on the table. Cindy then walked into the kitchen and smiled.

  “Hey there,” she smiled.

  “Hi Cindy,” I responded.

Mitch then walked into the kitchen.

  “Hey bro,” he said.

“Hey. You guys had breakfast already?”

“Yeah, there’s some leftover for you.”

“Oh cool, thanks man,” I thanked him.

“Yeah. I’m about to leave out soon to go to the stadium. So if you need a lift…” he offered.

“I still got the car, so it’s cool. I will meet you up there,” I assured him.

  “Okay, cool.”

I finished eating and Cindy took the plate from me. I can tell she was a woman who was destined to be a housewife. And that could work out in her favor. Mitch was one of the best players on the team and had offers from many other teams and if football didn’t work out, he could get a job since his grades were so good. She clearly chose the right guy.

  “Thanks, Cindy.”

“Yeah, no problem. I think you should go get ready.”

  “Yeah, I think you’re right.”

I got up, took a quick shower and headed to the stadium. I looked at the gas tank and realized I was running low on gas. I did have some change for gas which was a huge help, but I was worried that I may not have enough money to last the next few months.

I tried to put the thought out of my mind and focus on training. We had some big games coming up and our team had to do well. There was a lot riding on these games. There were a lot of scouts coming to games and these games could make or break our future football careers.

I entered the stadium and looked at the stands. Then I saw April at the popcorn stand. She looked lovely. I was dying to talk to her, so I rushed over to her.

  “Hi there” I smiled.

She smiled at me and I instantly felt better. Although I felt like my life was falling apart, I was glad I could depend on having April around.

We kissed and then she asked me how I was. I didn’t even know how to tell her. I tried to find the courage to tell her.

“So my dad kicked me out last night,” I said.

“Wait what?! How could he do that to you? His own son?” she exclaimed.

“I don’t know. He just…has his own ideas about how I should live my life. You know, like he wants me to be part of high society. I just don’t want it. It just seems fake to me; you know?”

“Yeah, I get that. I’m really sorry that your dad did that,” she empathized

  “Yeah, it sucks,” I said.

  “Yeah.”

“Aww, I wish I could help, but you know…” she started.

“Yeah, but you live with your dad. It would be weird,” I said.

  “Yeah,”

  I immediately felt better.

She looked at me intently and
said, “If there’s anything I can do to help, let me know.”

  “Yeah, I will,” I promised.

“So, ready for practice?” she inquired.

  “Yeah, I suppose.”

“Aww, c’mon. You’re normally more excited about training,” she encouraged.

“I guess. Maybe when I get on the field, I’ll feel better.”

  “Yeah, I hope so.”

“How about I invite you over to dinner? I think my home-cooked meals should help your current situation,” she enticed

  “Yeah, I think it can.”

She then leaned in and kissed me again.

“Have a good time at practice. I’ll let you know when I will have you over for dinner.”

I grinned at her and began to tease her.

  “And what’s for dessert?”

Not one to spoil surprises, she smiled at me and said, “Have a good time at practice.”

  April

I was busy preparing dinner when I checked the time.

“Oh no!” I exclaimed. “I still need to take a shower.”

The house smelled amazing. I had really put my best effort into making and preparing my best dishes.

My dad came downstairs and headed to the kitchen.

“Oh! What smells so good in here?” he asked, taking in a deep breath.

  “Oh…Peach Cobbler,” I answered.

I beamed. It was my best one yet.

“And there’s honey roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and string beans…”

“Wow, cooking up a storm then,” he chuckled

  “Yeah…”

“Is it because you have a special guest coming over soon?” he laughed.

“Dad, stop. And yes, Nick is coming over soon.”

  “Oh okay.”

He then attempted to try some of the food. I caught him in the nick of time. I slapped his hand with a spoon and glared at him.

“Wait for another thirty minutes, Dad,” I ordered.

“I can’t have one little bite,” he entreated.

“No, Dad,” I told him firmly.

  “Not even one….”

  “No!” I screeched.

“Well fine!” He pretended to pout as he walked away.

He smiled and decided to be patient. Dad has had my cooking before and knows I am an excellent cook. I just hope that Nick will feel the same way after trying my cooking.

I immediately took off the apron and headed upstairs to get ready. I checked my phone and realized that he was outside. I immediately ran down the stairs and opened the door.

He stood outside the door and smiled. He had flowers in his hand.

  “Hey there,” he smiled.

I blushed at him. He looked amazing in his football jacket and with that look in his eyes.

“Hi, welcome to my house,” I grinned.

He laughed at me and said, “Thank you.”

I then invited him into the kitchen. He began to slowly take off his jacket and put it behind the chair.

  “Wow, what smells so good?”

  I beamed, “Dinner.”

  “Wow! Can’t wait.”

I put plates and cutlery on the table. I also put the dishes of food on the table. Dad came to the table and we all sat down and dug in.

Nick’s face lit up as he took the first few bites.

“Hmmm, this is really good,” he said as he took a few more. He looked at me and asked me if I made it.

  “Yes, I did.”

  “Wow, this is really delicious.”

He then took a few more bites.

“So Nick, I hear you are the leading running back on the team. I used to play some football myself. You know, back in the day in college,” my dad spoke up.

“Really? What position did you play?” Nick wanted to know.

  “Running back.” Dad responded.

  “Wow, really?” Nick enthused.

I smiled shyly as I watched the two of them interact with one another. They seemed to have a lot in common. There were even things about Dad that I didn’t even know about that happened to come out. Like how he was teammates with the coach or how he had some of the best stats on the team in his days. Nick also listened intently to some of Dad's advice about the plays of the team and tactics to improve the team’s chances of scoring and winning. I was pleased to see that the two were getting along quite well. I saw the look on Nick’s face and he was pleasantly surprised that he actually had something in common with my father.

I watched the two talk like old friends. I first thought it was cute, but it was becoming disturbing.

“Guys, there’s dessert. It’s on the stove,” I offered.

They immediately stopped talking and made their way to the stove.

“Peach Cobbler?! I love Peach Cobbler!” Nick shouted

Dad looked like he wanted to fight Nick, but he restrained himself. Nick took a piece of Cobbler and then was silent.

  “Hmm…So good,” he enthused

He was about to grab another piece until my father stopped him. I was surprised that my father, who wasn’t the strongest guy I knew, was able to stop him. He finally took a bite and was impressed.

“Wow, you can bake too?” Dad stated.

I blushed, “Yes, I can bake too.”

“Honey, I think this is your best one yet.”

Dad had to get another bite. Then Nick went for another. I was afraid that there wasn’t going to be any left for me. I decided to rush in and save a piece for myself. I tried it and realized it was the best Peach Cobbler that I had ever made. I should have made more. Nick and Dad finished the Cobbler and then Dad put the tray into the sink.

Dad then checked the time and began to rush.

“Wow, I’m going to be late for work. I better get going. Nick, it was nice spending time with you. And Hun, thank you for cooking dinner.”

  “No problem.”

“It was nice to meet you too, sir.”

“Please call me Gary. Also thanks a lot for the job,” Dad said again

  “Oh, don’t worry about it.”

“You two have fun,” he said.

Dad then closed the door behind him. Nick looked at me playfully as he helped me clean up.

“Well, your dad actually seems like a nice guy.”

“Yeah, he is. I didn’t even know he played sports in college.”

  “Yeah, well neither did I.”

  He then smirked at me.

“So that’s why you know so much about sports. Now I get it.”

“Yeah, sports is one of the few things that Dad and I can talk about.”

  “Oh…okay.”

I could tell that he was still hurt by his father kicking him out. I walked up to him and comforted him.

I told him, “Look, I’m really sorry about what your dad did. I don’t think he was right to put you out like that.”

“Yeah…but that dinner really helped take my mind off of it. I didn’t know you could cook.”

“Well, I’m just full of surprises.”

“Yeah, you are. Speaking of surprises….”

I knew he was thinking about the cheerleading outfit, but I wanted to see how far this thing would go before he admitted what was on his mind.

“Yes, what about surprises?” I asked.

“There was a certain surprise that I was promised. You know…with you in a particular outfit…” he hinted. “Oh, what outfit?”

  “The cheerleading outfit.”

“Hmm…Let’s finish cleaning up the kitchen together and then we will see about the outfit.”

He immediately picked up the rest of dishes and cleared up the table. He put the dishes into the sink and I washed and dried them. I then wiped down the counters and made sure that the kitchen was spotless. When I was pleased by the results, he pulled me in and kissed me. He put me onto the counter and held my face.

“It feels like it’s been so long since I’ve kissed this face,” he murmured.

  He then kissed me
again. I was getting lost in the moment. He bit my bottom lip and his tongue tangled with mine. I wanted him to take me right there and then. He then lifted me off the counter.

“I really want to see that outfit,” he insisted.

  “Then, let’s head upstairs.”

I began to walk when he lifted me off of my feet and carried me upstairs. I giggled as he tried to find my room. With some guidance from me, we were outside of my door. He then opened it and threw me onto the bed. He leaned over and began to kiss me.

“So nice of your dad to leave us all alone.”

  “Yeah, I guess.”

  He stroked my hair.

“Oh, the things I am going to do with you.”

He then traced my lips, my neck and my shoulders with his mouth. I immediately began to shiver. He then touched my neck. Before I got carried away, I got up and looked at him playfully.

“What are you up to?” he asked.

  “Nothing,” I demurred

“April, you are up to something. I know it,” he insisted.

“Maybe. Close your eyes,” I instructed silkily.

“Why? Is there some sort of surprise waiting for me?” He smirked.

I rolled my eyes and advised him, “Just close your eyes and wait.”

  “Fine.”

  “But no peeking!”

  “Okay,”

Although he promised not to peek, I could see that he was looking through his hands. I then decided to leave the room and a loud groan escaped Nick.

After ten minutes of fussing with the outfit, I finally got it on. I stepped back into the room. His eyes were really closed. He didn’t even know I was back in the room.

“Open your eyes,” I told him.

He opened his eyes and let out a loud groan. He stared at me in the tightest cheerleading outfit that he had ever seen.

“So, you like?” I did a bit of a twirl in the outfit. His attention remained fixed on me.

He was rather silent. I know he has seen cheerleaders before, so I didn’t exactly understand his reaction.

“I love it…You look so...amazing in the outfit. Man, you really should have tried out for the squad. Then again, they might have been jealous of you. You look really good, April.”
