"Jake, you're not going to break me. You already did that part, remember?"

"Ezzie, I could never forget. Hell, I've been jerking off to the memory for five years." My jaw was clenched tight, and sweat gathered on my forehead as I tried to keep myself from slamming into her. She was so tight, and wet it took everything I had.

Ezzie rolled her eyes, and grabbed my ass pushing me hard against her. My balls slapped her ass, sending electrical sparks up my spine. She moved her hips down and pulled my hips into her again.

  "Ezzie stop."

"Jake I want it hard, make me forget about the last five years." Her words were my undoing. My mouth fused with hers as I thrust into her deep and fast.

Ezzie tore her mouth from mine. Our eyes locked, when I moved away and grabbed her hips. She nodded her head silently letting me know it was alright to lose control. As soon as she gave me her consent, I slammed my cock deep in her. She screamed out my name with her head thrown back, tits pushed up in the air.

I thrust into her again, making her tits bounce from the momentum. Over and over again, I pushed into her trying to erase the past, and fuse us together. Ezzie's moans became more urgent. I twisted my hips brushing my pelvic bone across her clit.

"I'm so close," she panted. Her eyes were shut tight, as beads of sweat formed on her forehead.

"Open your eyes," I commanded. When her lust filled eyes connected with mine, I twisted my hips again shoving myself to the hilt inside of her. Her body exploded around me. Her pussy clamped down on my cock as it milked me with her pleasure. I pulled out, and thrust into her again drawing out her orgasm as long as I could.

The tight pulsing of her pussy, and her outcries sent me over the edge. My balls pulsed, and I pulled out just before I burst. My cum pumped on her stomach with an orgasm so intense my sight dimmed. When I was empty, I collapsed on the bed my body heaving as I tried to catch my breath.

I glanced over at Ezzie and watched her suck in air, panting just as hard as I was.

"So you've improved," she said, looking over at me with a smile.

Laughter bubbled up inside of me, and I let it out. I was deliriously happy to have her back. "I still haven't shown you everything." I told her, leaning over the bed to find my discarded shirt. After I cleaned her off, I pulled her tight against my body.

Her head snuggled on my shoulder, and she threw a leg over my waist. I ran a hand up and down her back as my eyelids grew heavy. Ezzie traced circles over my abdomen. Her finger kept getting lower with every revolution waking up my cock.

Her finger stilled when it reached my growing shaft. My stomach clenched as she gently scraped the tip with her fingernail. Her pupils were dilated, and her lips were swollen from my kisses when she glanced at me.

  "Already?"

"We have five years to catch up on Ezzie." I pulled her on top of me. "Ride me."

She slowly sunk down on me until I was all the way inside of her. It didn't take her long to find her rhythm. When she threw her head back letting her hair tickle my thighs I lost all control. My fingers dug into her hips, as I pounded into her. As soon as her pussy clenched around me, I pulled out of her and came on my stomach.

"Catching up is going to be fun," she said, wiping me off.

She had no idea the fun I had in store for her.

  Chapter 11

Ezzie crawled out from under my arm bringing me back to reality. My body was sated and movement seemed to be impossible.

  "Where are you going?"

  "To take a shower"

"Well in that case." Maybe movement wasn't beyond me after all.

"Stay. If you follow me we'll never get out of here."

  "What's wrong with that?"

"Jake, we already wasted too much time in bed as it is. The bar will be opening soon and you can't leave all the work for Corey and the waitresses to do."

I rubbed my palm on my chest. "It wounds me that you think our time in bed was a waste."

"I hope it's not a fatal wound, because I plan on wasting time with you as soon as the bar closes tonight. In fact, I was hoping we could waste time on the bar, it has always been a fantasy of mine."

My dick hardened painfully as I imagined taking her on the bar top. "I can always close the bar down for the night."

Ezzie laughed, as her naked ass sauntered to the bathroom. "Stay. If you're good I will make the wait worth it."

"Don't make promises you can't keep."

"Never," she said, sending me a wink before shutting the bathroom door.

When Ezzie walked out of the bathroom my eyes zeroed in on her wet skin. "Don't get any ideas. In fact why don't you take a shower while I get ready?"

  "You're no fun."

She slapped my ass when I walked by making my already hard dick harder. Needing to take my revenge, I grabbed her around the waist and sucked on her neck until she was leaning against my body for support. When she reached around to hold me in place, I moved away from her, slapping her on the ass. She muttered asshole to my back. I smiled widely, before whistling my happy ass to the shower.

My whistling was halted when the hot water stopped, and the shower curtain flung open. I whirled around, assuming Ezzie was playing a trick on me but nobody was in the bathroom with me, or at least nobody I could see. I shut off the water and caught the towel that was tossed at me. Something was happening, and I could only assume it was with Ezzie and I needed to find her.

Fear coursed through me as I opened the bathroom door. I had just got her back. I couldn't lose her. Ezzie had her back toward me. She was dressed in a pair of yoga pants, and one of my hoodies. Her body was hunched, as she sat on my bed her phone clutched to her ear.

"It will have to be after the New Year," she said into the phone. "January fourth would be perfect. Email me the information. I look forward to meeting you."

Ezzie let the phone drop to the mattress, and buried her face into her hands. Her body shook as she silently cried. I was frozen in place. Her misery was almost visible. A hard shove from my invisible counterpart broke through my shock.

I quickly made my way over to Ezzie, and put my arms around her. "What's the matter?"

Her body stiffened and rage boiled over. "What happened? Who was on the phone? "

  "It was a client."

Her body was still ridged in my embrace, as I waited for her to explain. When she didn't say anything, I prompted her. "Ok, and?"

She pulled away from me. Her eyes were sparkling with emotion as she bit her bottom lip. "I have a job right after New Years."

"I heard that part. Do you not want to do the job? Ezzie, I have enough money you can be more selective. If you don't want to do this job call them back and cancel." The need to snatch the phone off her bed and redial whoever she was talking with surged through me.

"No Jake. I want to do this job. It's just I thought we would have longer to be together. Usually I don't get busy until later in the year. I didn't think we would be going our separate ways so soon."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"This. Us. It's not going to happen. I should have turned around the moment I saw you, but I couldn't, because I still love you. Now it's going to be even worse when I leave."

"You'll only be gone a couple of weeks. I can go with you if you want. Why are you acting like we're over?" Little pieces of clarity started to take place in my head. I understood why my ghost partner kicked me out of the shower. This was the heart of why Ezzie left me the first time.

"Because Jake we are over. We should have never started this. You have your life in the bar, and I have my life going all over the world helping people. My schedule is unpredictable, and I refuse to ask you to hang up your dream while you follow me around."

"Is this why you left me? Don't give me that bullshit about your family being cursed, either. You're smarter than that, and honestly I deserve the truth."

"Yes," she screamed. Her body pushed off the bed
in a violent move. I watched as she paced. Her hands pushing her curls back. "Mama Cleo told me she was giving you the bar the night of our graduation. I knew your dream had always been to open a bar. I already had clients lined up. We were about to live our lives the way we always wanted to. We had two different dreams, and I refused to let either of us give theirs up for the other." When she finished her explanation, she stood in front of me. Her arms were crossed over her body. The haughty tilt of her chin, made her look like an avenging angel, and if I wasn't so pissed off at her I would have stripped her naked and fucked her until she went limp.

"That is the stupidest thing you’ve ever said in your entire fucking life."

  "Excuse me?"

"When you said no to me, you ruined my dream. My dream was to have a successful bar with you by my side. You may think I did all of this without you, but you were always there. Your memory has always haunted me."

"Jake, we had to go our separate ways. We wouldn't have been able to accomplish what we have if we stayed together."

"You're right. We wouldn't have accomplished what we did. We would have accomplished so much more. I told you that day in high school, I would never make you pretend to be someone you aren't and I meant it. You would have been able to go after your dream, just like I would have done, but we could have done it together. We could have leaned on each other when things got rough, and celebrated our achievements as they happened. You took that away from us. Never would I have made you put your dreams aside."

Tears poured down her face. She swiped them with the sleeve of my hoodie as we stared at each other.

"So what? I was supposed to leave you here while I went and flew everywhere? It wouldn't have worked. You would have started to resent me. It was for the best that I left you then, and it is for the best that I'm leaving you now."

"How can you be so intelligent, and say such idiotic things? I would never have resented you for going after your dream. I would have supported you, just like I always have." I jumped off the bed and walked around her. "I need to go open the bar."

  "Uhmm, Jake."

I stopped at the entrance of the hallway, but refused to turn around. My stomach was a ball of rage at the pain her stupid assumption had caused us all those years ago. She would come to her senses, and realize her error on her own. This time she would have to come to me though, I was done chasing her.

  "What Ezzie?" I asked.

"You can't go down to the bar."

"Ezzie, I need some time to think." I took another step out into the hallway needing to escape quickly.

  "Jake, you're in a towel."

Sure enough, I glanced down and realized I was still wrapped up in the towel I tossed on when I jumped out of the shower. I turned back around and yanked on some clothes avoiding her.

  Chapter 12

Ezzie hid out at my house for most of the night. I tried to push back my anger as I helped Corey behind the bar. When everyone left, and we were shutting down the bar Corey pulled me aside.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"I found out why Ezzie broke up with me." Just thinking about her reasoning sent ripples of pain throughout my body.

Corey cocked an eyebrow, not asking for an explanation, but waiting to see if I would offer one instead.

"She was afraid that I would resent her for going after her dream while I was here going after mine. According to her we were on two different paths and there was no way we would have become who we were if we would have stayed together. Fuck." I pushed my fingers through my hair. "She acted like I would have made her give up her dream."

Corey's eyes went wide, and he was no longer looking at me.

"It would have happened to one of us. I would have had to cut back on my clients, or you would have had to shut the bar down. It wouldn't have been right for either of us to stay together." Ezzie's voice pounded into my neck. I closed my eyes not wanting to do this in front of Corey.

Corey moved around me, walking toward the bar. I turned wanting to see what would happen. As mad as I was with Ezzie, I wasn't going to let Corey say anything mean to her.

"Do you know why I'm here?" he asked her in a low voice.

Ezzie shook her head, her eyes straying to me before she put them back on Corey. "I'm here because in the back of his mind he always wanted you to come back. He trusts me, and knows I have the bars best interest at heart. Do you know why that's such a big deal?" he stared at Ezzie, waiting to see if she would answer him. When she shook her head, he let out a frustrated breath.

"It's a big deal because he wanted to be able to leave the bar and not have to worry if it was running smoothly. All so he could travel with you. I've never seen a guy so hooked on a girl. You were his dream, this bar was just an extension of it."

I stood behind Corey, staring at Ezzie as she took in his words. Ezzie seemed to be frozen as she processed what Corey had just told her. Slowly. Her blue eyes traveled away from Corey's face and made their way toward mine.

"It's always been you. We would have made it work."

"What about now?" her voice was thin. I'd never heard her sound so unsure of herself.

"You still don't get it do you?" My heart beat painfully against my chest. I wondered if she would ever realize it would never be anyone but her.

Corey slapped me on the back. "I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Ezzie think about what I said."

We didn't say a word, long after the echo of Corey slamming the back door resonated throughout the bar. Ezzie's blue eyes searched my face, and I begged her to find what she needed to see so she would stop running from me.

Tears pooled in her eyes making them shimmer. I walked around the bar and gathered her in my arms.

"I don't know what I can say or do to convince you I'm here for you. Tell me what you need from me, and I'll do it." My voice sounded desperate, and at the moment that was exactly how I felt.

"Was Corey telling the truth?" Her face was buried in my chest, and even through the thick thermal I could feel her breath ghosting over me.

"Yes, Ezzie. I always planned on going with you. The bar was going to be our hub, but you were always my home. I love the bar, but I love you more."

"I'm so stupid," she sobbed into my shirt.

My heart swelled with happiness. She finally got it. "You are stupid, but you’re my stupid."

Ezzie's sobs turned into laughter, and I laughed along with her. "I guess I needed a little help from the afterlife to get you to realize how much I loved you."

Ezzie started laughing even harder. She moved away from me, and leaned on the bar her knees seeming to go out from beneath her.

"What's so funny?" I asked, laughing with her.

"That little push came from your grandpa."

"Wait, Big Sam was my bully?"

  "Yep."

"I don't get it. Why did he stop right before Halloween, and come back now? Not that I'm not happy he did, because obviously I wasn't going to get you to see reason."

Ezzie cocked her head to the side, staring off to the side of the bar. Her face morphed into confusion before she turned to look at me.

"Big Sam said Mama Cleo asked him to come and give us both the nudge we needed to get over our stubborn asses. He doesn't know who was messing with you before Halloween."

Now it was my turn to have my face transform into confusion.

"Are you sure it was ghost that picked on you?" Ezzie asked, leaning on me.

"Yes, I was on a date. When we went back to her place, I had a chair pulled out from under me, and a bottle of water poured over my shirt." Ezzie tried to move away from me, but I held her tight. "It didn't go anywhere Ezzie. I just went to her house to use the restroom. She wasn't in to me, and I wouldn't have let it get that far anyway. I could never get around the guilt I felt when I was with another girl. It felt like I was betraying you. I promised you I would wait for you, and I did."

"Sorry. You're right, besides it was my fa
ult for leaving you in the first place."

I kissed her on the top of the head. "It's alright; you have the rest of our lives to make up for it."

She tipped her head up to look at me. "Why don't we start now," she whispered, pushing her arms under my shirt.

"What about Big Sam?" I asked, zeroing in on her full lips.

"Do you want him to join?" she asked unable to keep the smile off her face.

"You know what I mean?" I said, smacking her on the ass.

"His job's done. He's going back to New Orleans to gloat to Mama Cleo."

My lips descended on her. I grabbed her ass and pulled her up, setting her on the bar. "You know how many times I dreamed about this?"

I pulled her jeans and underwear down and threw them on the bar floor. Her eyes went wide when I took a seat at one of the bar stools and yanked her by the ankles, until her ass was at the edge of the bar. Exactly where I wanted her.

My tongue streaked across her soaked lips. Ezzie moaned, her legs flopping open, giving me a clear view of her arousal. With my thumbs on each side I pulled her further apart. The sight of her wet pink pussy pushed me over the edge. A groan tore through my lips, before I wrapped them firmly around her swollen nub and sucked.

Ezzie writhed beneath me, but my lips were latched to her clit as I assaulted it with my tongue. I pushed one finger inside of her as I continued flicking her clit. Ezzie went stiff, before her orgasm washed over her. She screamed out my name, her hands clutching my head, pushing further into her as she pulsed around me.

When her body seemed to have released her from her orgasm I yanked her down until she straddled me, not done claiming her as mine.

"No more running Ezzie. You're mine, and I'm yours. Ezzie and Jake. Jake and Ezzie. Jazzie, or Ezke. I don't care what you want to call us, but we’re together."

Her blue eyes were still glassy from her orgasm, and her body was slack in my grasp. My eyes locked with hers watching for signs of understanding.
