"Okay, I'll tell you where he is." Sam said quietly.

Thank fuck for that, we'd been at it for the past hour and my fist was starting to hurt from smashing him in the face so many times.

Justice glared at him, "Well start talking."

"He's at his girlfriends house, fifty-eight Apple Tree Court, Chingford." Sam was breathing heavily and I couldn't comprehend how he was currently feeling after grassing on one of his own. I wouldn't have to kill him now because I knew that I only had to leak the fact that he was a grass and he'd be dead any way.

"Buster, keep him here for another couple of hours, then drive him into Epping forest and let him go." Buster glanced at Ramsey quickly before returning his attention to me, nodding his head indicating that he understood the instructions.

"Is there a problem gentleman?" I asked extending my arms out to the side as I stepped forward. Buster shook his head but I knew he had something on his mind. "Speak now boy before I lose my temper." I placed my hands into my jean pockets and waited for a response.

"Duke called earlier and asked where we were." Buster said quietly.

I let out a sigh, "And you said what exactly?"

Buster looked at the floor and fidgeted. Lyric stepped forward and grabbed Buster by the scruff of his neck, pushing him against the wall. "We ain't got time for this shit, start speaking fat boy." I was grateful of Lyric steeping in as I was slow losing patience.

"Nothing incriminating, I just said that I was with you." I walked over to the two of them as Lyric raised his brows questioning his response, "I promise, I just said that Recon needed me for something." Lyric let go of his cut and stepped away.

"Right we better be going as we're losing day light." Justice patted me on the back lightly as he made his way to the door.

I turned back to Sam, "If you say a word, I'll tell everyone that you're a grass. Am I making myself clear?"

He nodded his head vigorously and I was satisfied that he'd keep his mouth shut. I walked over the plastic sheets that we'd put down on the floor should we have needed to finish Sam off, and made my way towards the exit of the building.

It didn't take long to ride to Chingford and I knew exactly where we were going. I was first off my motorcycle and stomped towards the front door.

"Is there a plan Recon?" Justice asked after me as I stalked towards the door. "It's only that we don't usually make house visits, that's more the Skulls scene than ours."

"I don't give a shit, I'm just gonna fucking kill him for what he did to Amy." I said coldly rapping on the front door.

I could hear shuffling and movement from behind the door but no one was coming to answer it. I stepped back and swung my leg at the door making contact just above the lock. I pulled back to do the same when I saw a female of slight build run to the door and quickly try to open it.

"Good evening, I'm looking for Jason." Her eyes widened and I saw the panic on her face.

  "He's...erm...he's not here." She stuttered.

"Are you sure because that's his motorcycle parked over there." I pointed in the direction of the black Harley parked to my left. She groaned but it looked like she wasn't going to give out his whereabouts. I started to contemplate what to do when I heard a baby cry. My eyes widened and I saw the panic on her face for the fear of her child. I pushed on the door and knocked her off balance as I moved aggressively into the front porch. The cries were coming from upstairs and I took two at a time feeling the adrenaline pumping through my body as I neared the bedroom.

I could hear muffled screams behind me and glanced over my shoulder to see Justice's hand over the woman's mouth to stifle her screams and alerting people of our presence.

I eased my pace and walked over to the crib where the baby lay and my heart lurched in my chest. I wasn't going to hurt the baby I just needed to know where her old man was and quickly, as I was getting more agitated. I leaned into the crib and took the baby into my arms, his whimpering stopped and he cooed at the attention. The woman was now fighting Justice as she struggled in his arms trying to free herself.

"I'll ask you again, where's Jason?" I saw the tears stream from her eyes as she didn't want us knowing but she also didn't want any harm to come to her child either. Her silence gave me knots in my stomach and only intensified the rage inside me. I walked to the window and released the catch to push the window open wide. Lyric looked up questioningly from outside but I turned my attention back to the woman who was still trying to fight Justice. Holding the baby by the scruff of its neck, I outstretched my arm in the direction of the window. Justice's eyes widened at my actions but I knew he'd never call me up on my shit. I was on a mission, I needed to know where Jason was.

"One last chance to talk or your baby is going out the window." I saw the panic and she knew that I wasn't bluffing, her eyes darted to a wardrobe in the corner of the room and I felt a sense of relief. Still holding the baby at arm's length, I removed my glock from the waistband of my jeans and pointed the gun at the woman. Justice released his hold on her and she remained still watching everything play out in front of her, she obviously didn't want to make any sudden moves just in case the baby got hurt.

Justice removed his glock also and made his way quietly towards the wardrobe. He placed his hand on the handle, while holding his weapon at arm's length should he need to use it. I saw him take a deep breath before he opened the door of the wardrobe wide.

"Jason, care to join the party." I said cheerfully as Justice leaned into the wardrobe and pulled him out by the scruff of his neck. I lowered my glock and pulled the baby into my arms, holding it securely as I walked over to give it to its mother. She cradled him in her arms and I saw the relief on her face as she kissed the top of his head repeatedly. She was lucky to be able to experience that feeling as Amy wouldn't be able to because of her old man.

"Sit on the bed," I said pointing towards it with my glock. She did as she was told and sat on the edge comforting her son.

"What's it like being a mother?" She looked at me confused but I raised my brows waiting for her to respond.

"It's the most enjoyable thing in the world." She answered looking longingly at her little bundle of joy.

I turned my attention to the piece of shit on the floor, Justice had thrown him on his front and had his knee pressing firmly in the middle of his back with his glock pointed at his temple. "You see the thing is Jason, when you took orders from the Dyers and stabbed my girlfriend in the stomach she was pregnant with my child." I saw his eyes widen, and the sweat trickle from his brow. "Your blade resulted in her miscarrying that baby, so you can see that I'm in a bit of a predicament."

"I didn't know that she was pregnant man otherwise I wouldn't have done it." He whimpered knowing that he didn't have long to live.

I sighed, "The thing is Jason, desperate men will say all kinds of things and I don't believe you."

"I'm telling you the truth man."

I nodded my head slowly, "Okay, say I do believe you and that I now realise how sorry you are. What information are you going to give me to ease my pain?" I knelt beside him and saw his confused expression. "Who gave the order?"

He let out a sigh and Justice pushed his glock harder into Jason's temple. "I don't quite think that you understand the severity of the situation." I maintained eye contact but pointed my gun in the direction of his wife and child.

  "Please man don't hurt them."

  "Well start talking."

"It was Sheldon, Sheldon gave the order."

I smiled, "Well thank you, that wasn't so hard was it."

"What are you going to do to me?" he asked snivelling.

"Oh you're going to die for what you did but I haven't quite decided what your last thoughts will be." He cried harder and I rolled my eyes, fucking pussy. "I don't know if you should see me rape your old lady or murder your child before you die."

"Please don't hurt them, do what you like to me but please don't hurt them." I got up off the floor and walked over to th
e bed. The woman closed her eyes as I reached beside her but I sniggered when I took a pillow from the bed. I saw her relief but then her eyes widened as she realised what I was going to do. Justice removed the gun from the side of Jason's head and attached a silencer, his face was full of snot, tears and sweat as he now knew his fate. I placed the pillow over his head and gave the nod to Justice. He dug his glock deep into the pillow and fired two bullets in quick succession.

I turned to the sound of whimpering coming from the woman still sitting on the bed cradling her son, "I'm letting you and your son live but if I hear that you've spoken to anyone about tonight's event, I promise I'll hunt you down and put you and your son to work. There are plenty of paedophiles out there that would love to fuck your baby." Her shocked expression rendered her immobile and I knew that she wouldn't be talking to anyone because of my words.

Justice stood beside me, and we made our way from the building still hearing the whimpering of the woman ringing in my ears.

"That was a bit harsh." Justice said as we jogged down the stairs.

  "What do you mean?"

  "What you said to her."

I shrugged, "I bet she'll keep her mouth shut though."

Justice sniggered shaking his head, "You're a fucking sick bastard."

"What took you so long?" Lyric asked as we joined him outside.

"Stop you whining it's done now."

Lyric rolled his eyes, "Do we need to go anywhere else?"

"Nah, we better head back or Duke will ask too many questions. Remember boys this is kept between the three of us." Justice and Lyric nodded their heads as they mounted their motorcycles. Duke would go mad knowing that I'd found my own retribution for Amy as he liked to play everything by the rules but sometimes rules were made to be broken. I had now wasted the bloke who had stabbed Amy, I just needed to dispose of the bloke that had given the orders.

  Chapter 18

  Amy

I used the cloth to wipe down the tables now that the lunch time rush was over. Ethan and Connor spoke quietly at their usual table at the back of the cafe about work and I didn't want to eavesdrop so preferred to keep busy. I walked towards the last table that was directly beside the window when something caught my attention from across the street. I noticed a young girl pop her head from around the back of the bus stop on the opposite side of the road and then disappear. I thought this was strange and started to doubt that I'd even seen her at all as I stared out the window. I laughed to myself and continued to wipe the table and noticed that the guys had gone quiet. I turned my head to glance in their direction to see their confused expressions.

"You laughing to yourself?" Ethan asked.

"Haha!" I said dryly. "I thought I saw something but I clearly didn't."

They both still stared at me confused before turning to each other to continue their conversation.

I smiled to myself and pushed the chairs under the table when something caught my eye again. I turned my head in the direction of the bus stop and this time my thoughts were confirmed when I saw the teenage girl peer around the advertising board attached to the bus stop.

I threw the cloth onto the table and removed my tabard before I marched from the shop. It had turned chilly and I was only wearing a lightweight blouse and skirt, and instantly wished I had grabbed my coat but I was intrigued as to who the girl was and what she wanted.

As I neared the bus stop she peered round the corner again giving me enough time to see that it was Hazel.

I folded my arms across my chest, "What brings you here?" I asked surprised.

Hazel distributed her weight from one foot to the other as she fidgeted in front of me. "My dad is upset and I hate to see him like that." She said quietly.

"What's he upset about Hazel?" I asked still taking a harsh tone with her.

  "He misses you!"

"Has he said those exact words?" I asked trying to extract information from her.

Hazel rolled her eyes, "Look, I know what it's like to be in love, he's not eating or sleeping properly. He's moody, miserable and...oh for gods sake can you just call him or something and sort it out?"

"I'd very much like to do that Hazel but I don't want to upset you. You made it perfectly clear the other day that you didn't want me around and I respect your wishes."

Hazel's face twisted as she thought of what to say next, "I've had time to think and if you make my dad happy then I'm cool with that because he deserves to smile."

I nodded my head slowly contemplating what she'd just said, "Okay, do you want to come in for a drink or something to eat?"

"No, I'd better get back to school." She replied staring at the ground.

"Do you want me to drive you?" I didn't know what the protocol was about children being out of school at lunch time.

"No that's fine, it's a ten minute walk and lunch is nearly over."

"Okay as long as you're sure." I said still shocked by the conversation we were having.

Hazel turned and walked in the direction of her school before she stopped abruptly to glance over her shoulder, "Promise you'll call him!"

"I promise, now off you go before you're late." Hazel nodded her head before continuing down the street.

I let out a loud sigh as I contemplated what had just been discussed. This whole situation had affected James more than I thought so it wasn't just me hoping to reconcile this relationship.

I checked for a gap in the traffic before I crossed the high street to make my way back towards the cafe.

"Who's that Ames?" Ethan asked as I joined them at their table.

  "James' teenage daughter," I replied.

Ethan raised his brows slightly, "I didn't know he had a kid!"

"There's a lot you don't know because he has two, a boy and a girl."

"Some would say you have a ready made family." I glanced in Connor's direction as he feigned innocence and picked up his mug to take a swig of his tea.

"Some would say it's none of your business!" I stated poking out my tongue and folding my arms defensively to the sound of their chuckles.

"You may not want to hear it Amy but Connor's right. You can't physically have kids but you can still have a family." Connor nodded at Ethan's statement and I felt the love radiating from them.

I could feel my eyes prick with tears and didn't want them to see me get emotional. "I'd better get on," I said quickly leaving the table and walked quickly behind the counter so that I could busy myself. It had been an interesting afternoon and Hazel's visit had given me a lot to think about.

After the guys had left the cafe, the rest of the day went fairly quickly partly because my thoughts were elsewhere. I reached into my bag that I kept behind the counter and pulled out my iPhone so that I could call James. I'd left it long enough and if what Hazel had said was true, he was missing me as much as I was missing him. I leaned on the counter and scrolled through my contacts to find his number. Taking a deep breath, I pressed the screen and held the phone to my ear listening to it ring but at the same time I heard a ring coming from inside the cafe. I quickly spun around to see James standing by the counter with a cheeky grin on his face as he held his phone in his hand.

  "I was just calling you!"

"Obviously, what did you want?" he asked shaking the phone in front of him indicating that I was still calling him.

I sniggered and ended the call, "I wanted to apologise for my behaviour lately and ignoring your calls. I overreacted and now that I've had time to reflect I realise that I went about it all the wrong way." I was so strong willed and I hated apologising but this time I was clearly in the wrong. I watched as an array of different emotions crossed his face at my words as he slipped his phone into his pocket before returning his attention back to me.

James reached over the counter and placed the back of his hand on my forehead, I scrunched my nose as I tried to look at his hand wondering what he was doing. "Are you feeling okay?"

I looked at him puzzled by his concern, "Yeah why?
"

"Because apologising is not an Aries trait!"

"Ha-ha!" I said dryly and instantly felt a little more relaxed about the situation. "Hazel came to see me earlier". I needed to inform him of Hazels visit.

James raised his brows, "She did?"

"Yeah, she was the one who suggested I call you."

"Okay but is that the only reason you were going to make contact?"

"No!" I moved around the counter until I was standing directly in front of him feeling the most vulnerable I had felt in years. Here it was, I was going to lay everything on the line and just hoped he felt the same way about me. "The real reason I wanted to speak to you was to tell you that I love you." I said the last three words quietly and couldn't help but look to the floor as I fiddled with my tabard. James placed two fingers under my chin and slowly lifted my head so that I was looking directly at his face, his frown slowly lifted until he was beaming from ear to ear and I felt a little relief inside.

"I think those are the nicest words I've ever heard." With that statement, James wrapped his arms around my waist and lowered himself so that he could take my mouth passionately. I moved my arms to cup the back of his neck as I held him close allowing him to kiss me deeply. James walked me slowly backwards around the counter and towards my office at the back of the cafe.

I broke the kiss, "Hold up, I've got to lock the door."

James smiled, "I've already done it."

I sniggered at his comment, "Oh you thought I was a dead cert?"

"I was hoping you were," he stated giving me a cheeky wink before continuing to direct me towards the office.

James leaned in for another kiss and I pulled back slightly, "So you didn't tell me why you came here."

"No I didn't, did I!" He leaned towards my lips but I pulled back again and raised my brows to prompt a response. "I came here to tell you that I love you!"

His words twisted my insides with excitement, "Well why don't you take me in the back and show me just how much you love me?"

  Epilogue

  Amy

"I do apologise it is a bit of a squeeze," I stated looking around the table set up in my living room. I had agreed to cook Christmas dinner this year, and had turned down the offer of entertaining at James' house. Although grateful for his offer, I wanted this Christmas to be about family and where better to have the festive celebrations than at my flat where so many things had happened in all of our lives.
