“He is,” Dominic admitted. “Maybe he just got so excited you wanted him, he couldn’t think straight, either.” He knew it had happened to him, when she was concerned, as well.
She laid her head on his shoulder. “Yeah.” She sighed. “You didn’t cum yet.” He was not fully hard any longer, but still lodged inside of her.
“It’s fine.” He hugged her tightly. “We’ll start again in the morning.” He yawned. “It’s gotta be like five in the morning or something if Tom is done partying.”
She nodded as her eyelids became heavier. “Probably. I love… you…” Her voice faded as sleep took over.
“I love everything about you.” He kissed her forehead and closed his eyes.
Thirty minutes later, he was still wide-awake. His mind reeled. So much had happened in the last 24 hours. He worried about Dean, although he was safe in the hospital. Jon sounded off when he spoke to him hours earlier. Something was wrong, but he wanted to ask what in person.
His hand moved over Noelle’s bare back slowly. Her body rose and fell with her steady breathing. A smile crossed his face. It was an amazing gift to fall in love again. He felt so connected to her it was almost unreal. With Claire, it was similar, but not as intense. Theirs was a young love. With Noelle, it wasn’t. They were mature and had already lived life. Maybe that was why it felt different.
Sleep still eluded him almost an hour later. It frustrated him, but Noelle sprawled out over him made it worthwhile. He ran his fingertips over her skin absently as he imagined them at the beach house next summer. Then he realized he needed to find a contractor to do the repairs. Jon knew a few, so that would be his first call after they closed on the house.
Noelle suddenly shifted her hips and ground her pussy over his cock. He gritted his teeth. The movement made blood flow to his groin. He closed his eyes. She moaned softly as she rubbed him continually. She became wetter by the second. He badly wanted to wake her, but guilt got the better of him.
When his dick was fully engorged, he slid her up his body then lifted his erection. As he glided her down, he gasped. He sank into her again. It felt amazing. Once fully seated, he held her ass and sighed. She moved her hips again, and his head went back a bit. If he were Tommy, he would have started to thrust, but he just wanted to feel her. He brushed his lips over her neck, lovingly.
In her sleep, Noelle started to rock back and forth. She dreamed of Dominic and Tommy making love to her together. The sensations were so real, hands on her skin, lips on her neck, Dominic moaned as Tommy whispered to her that she was hot. They both thrust into her, and she dug her nails into Dominic below her.
Dominic winced. She had almost broken the skin. It was quickly forgotten as she picked up the pace. She fucked him as he tried to stay still. He didn’t want her to stop. She clenched within and he whimpered. Pleasure flooded his entire body.
“Noelle,” he called out softly.
She felt one of her dream lovers let go within her, and the dream faded into the beach house. Strangely enough, she was on the back porch as she watched a young boy and girl play on a swing set. An arm slid over her shoulders, and she smiled. Dominic grinned as he held her. She looked up at him. Then she realized the children were theirs. She jolted awake.
“Hey.” Dominic raked his fingers through her hair. “I didn’t mean to wake you. Technically, you started it.” He smiled and nuzzled her hair. “Felt good.”
Noelle moved slightly before she felt his cock inside her. “We had sex again?”
“Kinda. Well, I planned on just being inside you. But you had other plans. I came hard. Thanks.” He lifted her hips so he could pull out. “You never did that before. What were you dreaming about?”
Her cheeks reddened when the scene flashed in her mind. “Sex.” She couldn’t hurt him with the whole truth.
“You can dream about sex anytime. My dick appreciates it.” He chuckled and rolled them to their sides. “Maybe now I can sleep.”
She caressed his cheek with her knuckles. “You’ve been awake this whole time?” She knew that at least an hour or two had passed.
“Yeah.” He yawned and kissed her nose. “My mind was going a million miles an hour.”
“Now that it isn’t, close your eyes and try to sleep.”
“OK.” He yawned again and held her close. “ ’Night.”
“ ’Night.”
Chapter 7
Noelle woke up fully rested. The first thing she noticed was Dominic spooning her from behind. His breathing told her he was asleep. Rarely did she rise before him, but she knew he was up to all hours the night before. As carefully as possible, she lifted his arm and slid out of bed. Before anything else, she placed a kiss on his cheek.
“I love you, Dominic,” she whispered.
He stirred, but nothing more. She smiled and headed to the attached bathroom. After she relieved her bladder and brushed her teeth, she put on pajamas and went in search of coffee.
Just as she reached the kitchen, she heard a low moan. She automatically turned to the sound. Then she noticed Tommy on the couch. With a smile, she approached him and was shocked to find him buck-naked.
The dream she had the night before came to mind. She had seen him naked on Gasoline’s bus once. He was as hot as she remembered. Tattoos everywhere, ripped body, adorable face. If she wasn’t with Dominic, she might have been attracted to him. Her eyes roamed his body. His cock was smaller than Dominic’s but a bit larger than average. It was hard, thickly-veined and twitched against his abdomen. She understood how women couldn’t resist him.
When he sighed and grabbed his erection, she turned away. The last thing she needed to do was encourage him. Dominic was annoyed enough that Tommy touched her. She forced her mind from the two naked men in the apartment and opened cabinets until she found coffee. When she opened the lid, she sighed. It smelled better than expected. He must buy it freshly ground.
Minutes later, Tommy woke up to the smell of coffee. He breathed in the scent and opened his eyes. Coffee was not normally his thing, but it smelled real good. Slowly, he lifted his head and looked around. Dom’s place? How the hell did I get here? Then he grinned. Right. Came here after the club. He caught movement in the kitchen, and his eyes opened wider. That wasn’t a dream. I almost fucked her. Nice.
A hand on the back of the couch, he sat up and groaned softly. Fuck, I drank too much. He had been doing that more often since he discovered he wanted more out of life than just fun and sex. He still wanted lots of sex, just sometimes with the same girl.
Crystal came to mind as she often did. She opened his eyes to the world of commitment. Although monogamy seemed out of reach, he was sure he could learn to care about a woman for more than just sex. However, could he find a woman who accepted that he needed more than one woman in his bed?
Noelle worked as quietly as she could. She had out eggs, bagels, sausage and cheese. The plan was to make omelets before the guys woke up. The couch creaked. It made her wonder if she was being too loud. When it stopped, she started to crack eggs into a bowl.
Tommy was on his feet. He hoped coffee would help his headache. That was his go-to beverage with a hangover. He slowly walked toward the kitchen. Noelle cooked. That made him smile. She looked so normal. He was used to her all dolled up. Well… or naked. He smirked and entered the small room.
“Mornin’.”
She turned and smiled. “Good morning. You’re up early.” It was difficult to avoid his fully adorned, toned chest. “Want coffee?”
“Yeah.” His eyes roamed her body. “Thanks.”
She forced her eyes away from him and turned to the coffee maker. When she turned back, she froze. Her gaze settled on his cock, which jutted out. She blushed when she realized he noticed.
“Uh, Tommy… You’re naked,” she sputtered, as she still stared.
He chuckled. “What gave you that idea?” Then he grinned and leaned on the counter. “Seems you like what you see.” He squinted. His head pounded. “It’d h
elp my hangover if you blew me.” He laughed when she smacked his chest. “Hey, I hadta try.”
“You’re impossible.” She handed him a mug of coffee.
Tommy held it carefully. “I’ve been told. It’s parta my charm.” He took a sip and closed his eyes. When he was in pain or angry, his accent was more pronounced. After years at Demonfire, he had learned to tame it as much as possible. He dumped two more spoonfuls of sugar into his cup and drank some more. “This’s good. Thanks.”
“If you’re gonna stand there like that.” Noelle kept her eyes above his waist, although even just that half of him was drool-worthy. “At least, help me.”
He finished off his coffee and set the mug in the sink. “Helping you in such close quarters?” He winked at her and tried to ignore she was almost his height. “Might make Dom jealous if I brush up against you a few times.” When he stepped toward her, and she moved away, he laughed. “He’d kill me. I ain’t gonna try and fuck you.”
She took a deep breath, more worried about her body’s reaction to him than his intentions. “Good.” She emptied the bowl of egg mixture into the fry pan. “You can toast the bagels, unless you like yours as-is.”
“Toasted is cool.” As careful as possible, he moved around her to do as she asked. “Did he buy cream cheese?”
She nodded. “Yes. He mentioned he keeps your favorite breakfast foods in stock in case you stumble in.” She laughed to herself, as she flipped the sausage and cheese omelet. “I hope you like sausage.” She smiled at the word.
“In the bedroom, I’m kinda partial to pussy, not dick.” Tommy couldn’t stop the smile. “But if you mean food, it’s fine. I think Dom has bacon pieces or something, too, though.” He reached up and opened the spice cabinet. There was an unopened packet in the front. “If you don’t mind, I’d prefer this instead of sausage.”
She took it from him and shrugged. “Sure.”
Automatically, Tommy took down plates for their food. “Dominic likes his eggs a bit undercooked.”
“Oh.” She had already cooked the first omelet well. “Next one’ll be his, then.”
Dominic rolled over and woke up when he felt the space next to him empty. “Noelle?” he asked quietly, still half-asleep. “What the hell?” Since she always slept in, he was confused. Where is she?
He turned to his back and sighed. Groggily, he climbed out of bed and closed himself in the bathroom. He doubted she left without a note. Then he realized how late he fell asleep. Once back in the bedroom, he checked his phone and was shocked at the time, 2:00. No wonder.
A pan clattered and made his head turn. He smiled and grabbed a pair of shorts. Wonder what she’s cooking. He ran his hands over his hair and smoothed it down a bit. Slowly, he walked into the hall then to the dining room. He smiled as Noelle set the table with plates of food, silverware and juice.
“Hey, there.” He waited for her to look up. “Thanks for breakfast.”
She looked up. “You’re welcome. Now I don’t have to wake you. You get enough sleep?” She came toward him and threw her arms around his neck. “Glad you’re up.”
Their lips met, and he took her face in his hands. “Me, too. Hated waking up to an empty bed. But this more than makes up for it.”
“Mornin’,” Tommy said as he came into the room with spreads for the bagels. “She’s spoiling us both today.”
Dominic’s mouth dropped. The audacity of his best friend was unbelievable. “Get fucking clothes on.” He was shocked Noelle hadn’t balked that Tommy strutted around with his dick swinging. “You don’t just prance around showing off your dick to my girlfriend.”
“OK, fine.” Tommy laughed and went to the living room. He grabbed his boxers. “Good enough?” He put his hands on his hips and cocked an eyebrow.
Dominic rolled his eyes. “Unbelievable.”
“He didn’t touch me,” Noelle assured him. “If you ignore him, he’ll stop busting your balls.” She giggled as she recalled the moment when Tommy lifted his erection. She had an eyeful of his sack. “He likes to tease.”
Nevertheless, Dominic seethed. He growled, “That’s what I’m worried about.”
“I’m not drunk now.” Tommy walked into the room. “I’m sorry I was… uh, well… a dick last night.” He shrugged. “Just thought she’d like a threesome. And I know you can handle my dick in the—”
Dominic glared at him to shut him up. He didn’t want her to know they shared one of Tommy’s groupies, long ago. Already high from a hit of cocaine, Dominic was out of it in their bus’ back room when he felt a condom roll over his morning erection. The redhead grinned at him before she climbed on top of him. He didn’t know what happened for sure until his body was shaken. Tommy fucked the girl’s ass from behind. Dominic let them do what they wanted as he closed his eyes and tried to forget his overwhelming guilt.
Don’t, Dominic mouthed. He refused to admit it might have happened a few times, although a lot of those years were blurry at best. “Go borrow some of my clothes.”
Tommy sighed. “OK. Fine.”
He threw his hands up and padded to the bedroom. Everything was exactly where Dominic had kept it for as long as Tommy could remember. He threw on a t-shirt and pajama pants. He rolled up the pants, so he didn’t step on them. His shorter stature annoyed him. At least, Crystal isn’t taller. He grinned as an image of her naked body came to his mind.
As he held Noelle’s hands, Dominic looked into her eyes. “I love you, and I trust you. Him though? Not really.”
“I see that.” She smiled. “He’s persistent. But he was all talk. Promise.”
Tommy strolled back into the room. He felt worse. When he sat down at the table, he groaned. “My fuckin’ head.”
“You need V8.” Dominic let Noelle go and rushed to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and soon poured him a glass of the vegetable juice. “Seriously. This will help.” The tomato juice in it would help ease the symptoms and not wreck havoc on his stomach.
While Tommy stared at the glass of red liquid set before him, his face screwed up. “How’s that crap gonna help?” He had given tomato juice to Dominic when he was trashed one night, at Dominic’s insistence.
“Vitamins and hydration.” Dominic folded his arms over his chest. “Drink it.”
Noelle laughed to herself. They almost had a father/son type relationship. She knew that was because Tommy had never grown up. It was cute, though. She loved that side of Dominic. He’d be a great dad. She hoped she could handle having his children. He deserved to have a family again. She never thought of having children before him. Stephen didn’t want them.
“You OK?” Dominic saw the pensive look on Noelle’s face. He palmed her cheek. “Did I miss something?”
She met his worried gaze. “No. Just thinking. We’ll talk about it when we’re alone.” She placed her hands on his waist. “It’s not something bad. Just private.”
“OK.” He saw in her eyes that it was true. “Let’s eat.”
Chapter 8
“Can I borrow an acoustic?” Noelle asked when she was dressed for the day.
Dominic smiled and led her to the music room. Tommy left about an hour after the breakfast dishes were washed. He was glad they were alone again.
“You want me to play piano for you?” Dominic knew Mitchell did that when they wrote music normally. “Or I can go play a game or something. Up to you.”
She smiled at him when he handed her a guitar. “Stay with me. I want to write a song for you.”
His cheeks heated up bit. “Cool.” He sat at the piano and played his favorite Chopin piece. When he glanced up at Noelle, she had a look of awe.
She was more impressed than the first time she heard him play in that room. He did it so effortlessly and seemed to be flawless as well. His fingers moved fluidly, and he watched her not the keys. She could play a few pieces, but it took great effort.
“Wow.” She clapped when he finished. “You’re just so amazing.”
His
blush deepened. “Thanks.” He stood and pulled a chair close to the piano. “You start. I’ll try and keep up.”
She sat and took a few deep breaths, eyes closed. The piece he had played had calmed her. The phrases that had come to her over the last few weeks started to slowly morph into a song in her head. She played a few simple chords and started to sing.
The darkness is gone. I can finally see the light.
Something so simple, strong arms, holding me tight.
You’re now in my heart, live in my very soul.
I had forgotten what it was like to feel whole.
Once again, I am feeling alive.
I can finally do more than survive.
I can face anything with you at my side.
Don’t care what caused our worlds to collide.
“Damn.” Dominic loved her voice. “That’s how you really feel?”
She stared at the guitar. “Yeah. Hard to hide your emotions when you’re a vocalist.” She knew her expressions showed it all when she performed. “Something’s missing, though. I’m not done, but it feels off.”
He smiled at her. “I think I know.”
Many of Winter Wind’s songs were duets. He could sense it needed more. She only told one side of the story. He let her words flow through him and allowed his own feelings to surface. He started to sing unconsciously.
You’ve opened up a whole new world for me.
With you, I’m the man I was destined to be.
For years, I’ve been living with pain and despair.
All it took was you saying how much you care.
Again, Noelle was dumbfounded. “You just came up with that out of the blue?”
“I guess.” He shrugged. “It needs to be a duet. Can you feel it?”
She grinned widely. “Yeah. I do.” She sighed. “But… Mitchell singing it—”
“No way!” Dominic closed his eyes. “Sorry. I’ll ask Chris to step in to record it. We’ll figure out the rest.” He thought Chris Bradley of Triple Threat was perfect.
