Body of Evidence

When he lowered his head and took her nipple between his teeth, sending an electric sensation rushing through her veins, she was about ready to climb the marble walls.

“Oh God,” she cried. “Oh God—yes!”

He kissed her again, nibbled her chin, and sucked her neck all the while adding pressure to the grip that held her breasts. Panthea couldn’t remember a time she’d been so hot and wanting.

When he forced her legs open with one of his and pinned her up against the shower wall, she begged for the moment to never end. And when he used his finger to dip inside her, she wanted to bypass the rest of their foreplay and jump his bones immediately. She wanted to feel him inside her in the worse way possible. Marcus stroked her hard with his finger, but she liked it, Panthea wanted even more.

Panthea closed her eyes and felt herself tremble as he eased that penetrating finger in and out of her. She bit her bottom lip to stop from screaming.

“You feel so good,” he told her and slid in another finger.

When he finished talking, she attacked his tongue the way he’d done hers and the frenzy started all over again. Marcus cupped her thighs and lifted her off her feet. Before she could catch her breath, he thrust himself into her and swore he had found the bomb.

Her eyes widened, her breath caught in her throat, her mouth was open and she tried to will her muscles to tighten its firm grip on him.

“So big, so hard—” Panthea managed as Marcus pushed himself deeper inside her.

Panthea clawed at his neck and back, kissed and sucked his neck and prayed this moment would last forever.

She rocked her hips, moving her body into his as much as she could from her spot up against the wall. As the water pricked their skin, their bodies joined, mixed and intertwined. Marcus bent his legs and pumped harder.

  “Yes, Marcus! Yeeesss!”

Marcus could swear he felt her juices overflow. He pulled back and gazed into her eyes. When he saw her satisfaction, he allowed her to hop down, but Panthea was far from done. With the water still running and the steam competing with the heat they both felt, she dropped to her knees and took his length into her mouth. She had to fight the urge to attempt to swallow him whole. Before losing his balance, he steadied himself on the wall and marveled at her skills.

  “You are so—damn!”

Panthea wanted to be free with him. She wanted to love him like they belonged together, like there would be no one to answer to and until neither could handle another stroke.

When she felt his excitement fill her mouth, she eased back to see the look across his face.

“Was it good for you?” Marcus asked finally finding his voice.

“Better than I could hope for,” she confirmed with a grand smile.

As he always did, Marcus woke up early the following morning. He looked over at Panthea, and marveled at the shape of her hip under the cover. All he could think about their early morning activities was, wow! When Panthea told him on their first date that she was a very physical woman it was an understatement. Panthea was the most incredibly sexual woman he’d ever met. Just thinking about her aroused him.

Marcus stuck his hand under the covers and ran his hand along Panthea’s body. He began kissing her back until she started to stir.

Panthea rolled on her back, and Marcus sat up in the bed. Without a word, Marcus spread Panthea’s legs and moved in between her thighs. Panthea stretched and Marcus entered her slowly and gently. Once his entire length was inside her, Marcus said, “Good morning, Panthea.”

“Good—morning,” Panthea offered, quickly wrapping her arms and legs around Marcus.

He kept his pace slow and constant as he slid in and out of her. Marcus wanted to feel every sensation, every nuance that Panthea’s warmth had to offer him.

As Marcus continued to stroke her, Panthea planted kisses across his neck and chest. She loved the way he felt inside her. Last night, he had made love to her body the way she wanted him to, the way she needed him to, the way she had to have it. Her mind drifted to Scott and the early days of their now failed relationship. He used to love her body the way Marcus was doing at that very moment. Panthea quickly dismissed those thoughts and focused on the pleasure that Marcus was giving her.

All at once, Marcus began to move faster and Panthea quickened her pace to match his. She could feel Marcus expanding inside. When his eyes and mouth opened wide and his body became rigid, Panthea began rocking her hips furiously, pounding her body into his until she had taken it all from him.

Marcus rolled off of her and lay flat on his back, spent, out of breath and smiling from ear to ear. Panthea sat up in the bed quickly and took Marcus into her mouth. She teased his head with her tongue, and then slowly worked her way down. Panthea’s lips and tongue were soft and wet. If she had any teeth, Marcus never felt them. As he got harder, Panthea relaxed the muscles in her throat so she could take more of him into her mouth. She used the roof of her mouth to apply a little pressure on his shaft.

Once Marcus was hard again, Panthea straddled his body and lower herself into him. “My turn,” Panthea said and slowly began to move her hips from side to side. Marcus was in ecstasy as Panthea sucked his nipples while she moved up and down on his erection.

Panthea sat up and placed her hands on his legs, and then her feet on the bed. Marcus stared into Panthea’s eyes while she moved up and down effortlessly. “I like how you feel inside me,” she proclaimed and ran her fingers through her hair. “You fill me up.”

Excited by her words, Marcus arched his back and pushed himself as deep and as hard into her as he could. The force of his thrusts knocked Panthea forward. She collapsed on his chest, but didn’t stop moving. Marcus kissed her passionately until Panthea grabbed the back of his head and forced a nipple into his mouth. Marcus licked and sucked her nipple and continued to push himself inside Panthea with everything he had. Now it was Panthea whose head drifted back with her mouth open and eyes wide as she screamed, “AAAAAAAHHHH!”

For the next hour or so, the lovers snuggled close to one another and drifted in and out of sleep. In between, they shared long wet kisses and explored the others body with their hands.

  “I’m hungry, Marcus,” Panthea said.

“I am too,” Marcus replied and rolled on top of her. He began kissing her neck and had worked his way down to her navel, when Panthea stopped him.

  “I wanna eat, Marcus.”

  “I do too.”

“Food, Marcus. I’m hungry for food, and I wanna eat. You don’t think you can just ravage me all morning and not feed me. Come on, baby, and get up from there. Let’s go get something to eat.”

Reluctantly, and with a promise of more to come later, Marcus got out of bed and Panthea followed him to the shower. While they were in the shower, the pair kissed, fondled and bathed the other, but soon Panthea insisted that they had to get ready to go.

Marcus got dressed and Panthea put on the jean mini skirt she had bought the day before while they were shopping at Walmart. “I’m ready,” Panthea said and started walking toward the door.

Marcus got up from the bed and followed her. On the way out of the room, Panthea dropped a tube of lipstick out of her purse. When she bent over to pick it up, Marcus noticed that she wasn’t wearing any panties. The site of her bent over in those pumps was too much for Marcus to bear without taking action. He immediately dropped his pants and took her from behind.

As he moved in and out of her, Marcus noticed the tattoo on Panthea’s left butt cheek. It was a tattoo of a naked woman on her knees with wings on her back. The woman even looked a little like Panthea.

Once they had cleaned up and fixed their clothes, Marcus and Panthea left the room and headed for breakfast. While they drove to the restaurant, Marcus noticed that Panthea appeared nervous. “What’s wrong?”

  “Where are we going?”

“To a little place I know. They serve food there. You’ll like it, trust me,” Marcus assured.<

“How much further is it?” Panthea needed to know.

“Not much. We’ll be there soon. You must really be hungry.”

“I am,” Panthea said and looked at the clock on the dashboard. It was eleven-fifteen. “I would like to have breakfast before noon. It’s something I’m very particular about. Breakfast should be eaten before noon.”

“I agree wholeheartedly, but if not, we’ll just have lunch,” Marcus replied casually.

“You don’t understand, Marcus. I have to have breakfast before noon.”

Marcus looked at Panthea strangely, and made light of it for a minute, but once he realized how serious she was, he drove a little faster and arrived at their destination at eleven thirty. The waitress placed their food on the table at eleven forty-five. Panthea finished her meal and put down her fork at exactly eleven fifty-eight.

Once they left the restaurant, Panthea told Marcus that since she had never been to Savannah before and with her future being rather uncertain, that she wanted to take a tour of the city.

“Before I go on trial, I’d like to see as many places as I can. And I wanna see them with you.”

“I wanna see them with you too.”

At that point, Marcus was hooked on Panthea. He was willing to go anywhere she wanted, do anything she wanted.

Panthea searched the car and found the tourist magazine that they had gotten the day before. She flipped through the pages until she found the place where tours of the city were leaving from and they were on their way. Once all the passengers were seated comfortably on the tour bus, the guide began his presentation.

“You’ve walked our streets and admired our beautiful parks, squares and mansions, but underneath the appealing aesthetics of this centuries Old City are some historical accounts that helped to shape our nation,” the tour guide began. “Savannah's architecture and history are internationally known, as is its reputation for Southern charm and hospitality. The city prides itself as the ‘Hostess City of the South.’ Each year, Savannah attracts millions of visitors from across the country and around the world. Savannah is also noted for its St. Patrick's Day celebration, the second largest in the United States behind New York City.

“Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the John Berendt novel about Savannah's secrets, socialites and murder spent more than five years on the New York Times best-seller list holding the record for the longest running best-seller in history,” the driver informed them. “The Pirates House, A famous Savannah restaurant, was actually a tavern frequented by pirates who sailed the Caribbean in 1794. Events at the Pirates House were the inspiration for Robert Lewis Stevenson’s novel, Treasure Island.”

After the tour was over, Marcus and Panthea returned to the beach at Tidy Island. Once they changed into their swimwear, they held hands as they walked across the beach talking. Once they picked a spot on the beach that they liked, Panthea prepared to go in the water. Marcus noticed her tattoo again and this time, he had to ask her about it. “That’s a very interesting tattoo you have there,” he said and pointed to her cheek.

  Panthea turned around. “Thank you.”

  “Does it have any meaning?”

Panthea sat down next to Marcus and looped her arm in his. “My father was the one who named me Panthea. It’s of Greek origin, and its meaning is of all gods. It’s also the name of an early Middle Eastern queen. The name is related to pantheon, which means a temple of all gods.”

“I didn’t know that,” Marcus said.

“No reason why you would, unless of course as soon as I left your office you were so taken with me that you googled my name in search of a meaning.” Panthea laughed and so did Marcus. “But you asked about the tattoo.”

  “Yes, I did.”

“When I was a little girl, my father told me what my name meant and said I was his angel, his little gift from the gods. That’s where I got the idea for the woman with the angel wings.”

“It’s very pretty, Panthea. And so are you. I’m enjoying myself with you.”

“That’s good. I like making you happy,” Panthea said and stood up, pulling Marcus to his feet in the process. “Now, come on. I’ll race you to the water.”

“What do I get when I win?”

“Me. In the water,” Panthea said and took off running. Marcus followed quickly behind her, but she had too much of a lead for him to catch up. Once they were in the water and away from the shore, Panthea stopped and waited for Marcus. She jumped into his waiting arms and wrapped her arms and legs around him. And even though he didn’t win the race, Panthea gave herself to Marcus in the water.

The first day back at work after a long weekend, a long romantic weekend at that, had always been difficult for Marcus, and this particular day was no exception.

Marcus felt himself dragging from the moment he bolted upright in bed. The realization that he had overslept for the second day in a row hit him like a wrecking ball. The previous day he allowed Panthea to convince him to call in sick and spend the morning inside her. Although she tried again that morning as well, Marcus got out of the bed. He quickly showered and rushed to pull himself together so he could get to the office before people started looking for him.

“You have two messages,” Janise said the moment his foot hit the office.

Marcus glanced down at the slips of paper and continued into his office. Once seated behind his desk, he used the palm of his hands to rub his face. Marcus looked toward the phone and chastised himself for not being able to get thoughts of Panthea off his mind.

Images of them intertwined in the throes of passion haunted him like a lingering spirit that was sent to personally keep tabs on him. When he looked toward the window, he’d see her firm breasts. A glance toward paperwork was like being up close and personal with the lips between her thighs.

“Marcus!” Janise’s voice boomed through the intercom on his phone, snapping him back to his trying day ahead.

“Yeah,” he answered, wondering just how many times she had called out to him before he actually heard her.

“Olivia is on line one,” she said. “I asked if you wanted to speak with her?” Janise’s voice was laced with sarcasm, but Marcus didn’t have time to deal with that.

“Okay. I’ll talk with her. I was just a little preoccupied. Put her through,” he said.

And before he could do anything else, Olivia’s voice rang out at him.

“Marcus, when can we meet? You talk to Garrett yet?”

“No, no, I haven’t talked to him yet, but I got messages that you both called. I just walked in,” Marcus said as if he needed to defend why he hadn’t returned their calls.

“Well, what’s your schedule like for the rest of the day? I really think we need to meet and decide our next move,” she pressed.

On any other day, Marcus would’ve appreciated her go get them attitude, but considering the slow start he was off to, he really needed her to bring it down a notch.

Instead of saying so, he simply looked at his desk calendar, noticed he had no meetings or appointments scheduled for the morning and leaned toward the mic on his speaker phone. “Why don’t you come meet me here in about an hour or so,” he offered.

“Okay, that’s sounds great, Marcus. I’ll see you then.”

When Olivia hung up, he immediately called Garrett’s number and got voicemail. Once he finished leaving a message to come by anytime, he buzzed Janise.

  “Yes?”

“I need you to get me a can of Red Bull please. I’m just not with it today. You think that’ll help?”

“I think what’d help is if you left those women alone,” Janise joked.

A look of horror overcame his face. How could Janise possibly know? Her statement made Marcus realize that although wonderful, the time he spent with Panthea was wrong. She was still, after all, a married woman.

“Ah, boss?” Janise called out to him.

  “Yeah,” he answered.

  “I didn’t
mean anything by it. I was just having a little fun at your expense. I didn’t mean to cross the line,” she said.

“You know I don’t bruise easily. I was actually reading something,” he lied.

The truth was her comment was like a jab straight to the heart. Marcus knew nothing good could come from his involvement with a client who was accused of murder and who was a married woman. Both aspects of this woman who intrigued him so much were completely out of line, and he knew better. But it was like she had put roots on him or something, he literally couldn’t get enough of her, nor did he want to. And she seemed just as addicted to him. That only made his reckless behavior that much more difficult to abandon.

Marcus eased back in his leather chair and closed his eyes. He thought about the image of Panthea sleeping peacefully as if she didn’t have a care in the world tugged at his heart while he watched over her. He remembered wanting nothing more at that very moment than to make sure he did whatever was necessary to protect her.

The morning before when her eyes snapped open and she focused in on him. Panthea wasn’t certain just how long he’d been watching her, but she could feel his gaze, and she liked it. She enjoyed everything about the idea. Panthea enjoyed everything about Marcus.

She grinned up at him, and he noticed the sparkle that seemed lived in her eyes when he looked at her.

“Hey, how long you been sitting there staring at me?” she asked.

“I could stay like this all day. You’re so beautiful, not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, you’re an all around beautiful woman.”

Panthea giggled like a schoolgirl with her first crush. His words warmed her heart and made her find the self-worth that she had questioned after learning of her husband’s betrayal. “You’re so good to me. I love you, Marcus. I love you,” she sang.

Marcus sat stunned for a few minutes. Had she really professed her love for him? Whatever it took to be with her, whatever it took to let her know he was so proud to have her love, and he’d do everything he could to cherish it. When he reached down to kiss her, she moved her head.
