Jessica’s Breakdown

Page 16

by Alicia White

“Good evening, gentlemen. I came home from work early today so that I could fix you both a special dinner.” Biting her plump lower lip, she made a sexy face, enticing them, and Beau could barely breathe.

“Told you so,” Chase said, walking into the kitchen. Beau watched him palm her ass. When he stepped back, Beau spotted a dirty handprint on her bottom and he shook his head, chuckling.

“Let’s go take a shower and then we can enjoy dinner, Chase.”

Turning, Beau left to get cleaned up. Rushing through a shower, he made sure to scrub under his fingers nails and get all the dirt and grime off. Drying off, Chase passed him, jumping into the shower.

“Do you have it?” Chase whispered loudly.

“Yeah, don’t worry. I’ll take care of everything.” Going into the bedroom, Beau put on a clean pair of jeans and a T-shirt. He grabbed the surprise for Jessica and shoved it into his pocket.

He waited for Chase to finish showering and then together they went to the kitchen. Jessica was sitting at the table, legs crossed, wearing her five-inch pumps. Damn, she’s the sexiest woman.

Without stopping, Beau kneeled in front of her and pulled the ring out of his pocket. He knew that this wasn’t the plan, but he couldn’t stop himself. He needed her, they needed her.

“We’ve been waiting our whole lives to meet the right woman for us.” Beau looked over his shoulder and Chase nodded. “We love you and we want to spend the rest of our lives with you. We want to have babies with you, grow old together, and I promise that I will try my hardest to make you happy.”

“Me, too.” Chase chimed in. He kneeled down next to Beau and grabbed her other hand. “I love you. You’re a wonderful woman and you’re the one for us.” She started crying and they both reached up and wiped a tear.

“I love you both so much.” She sniffled, laughing a little.

“Is that a yes?” he asked, still holding the ring up.

“Yes! I thought I already said that.” Grabbing the ring, she pushed it on her finger.

Standing up, Beau grabbed Jessica and pulled her out of the chair.

He couldn’t ever remember a time where he had felt so happy. Their plan had been to have dinner, make love, and ask her to marry them.

Instead, the moment he saw her sitting at the kitchen table, he couldn’t stop himself from popping the question.

Lifting her up in his arms, Beau carried her off to their bedroom.

“Wait, I made dinner.” She laughed.

“We’ll come back after we have our own little celebration. I need to touch, taste, and love you right now. Let’s go, Chase. We need to show our woman how much we love her.”

Moving as fast as he could, Beau went to the bedroom and dropped Jessica on the bed. He ripped the apron off her and kissed her, touching every square inch of skin.

  Epilogue

Jessica placed another gift on the table at Alyssa’s house and turned to look at everyone. The whole town had turned out for the celebration. Looking around, she stared at her friends and realized how lucky they truly were. Bella was walking around, refilling glasses of tea and lemonade. Alyssa was out of bed, sitting in a huge, overstuffed chair in the middle of the room, laughing, her skin glowing. She was absolutely gorgeous.

Hearing familiar laughter, Jessica looked across the room and saw both of her men talking to Grant and Justin. She leaned against the table and watched them. They both wore tight T-shirts, jeans that laid low on their hips, and cowboy boots. Damn, I’m getting wet just looking at them.

“Is it present time yet?” Alyssa asked, and Jessica jolted, standing straight.

Grant and Justin walked across the room leaving both Beau and Chase at the bar and moved toward the present table, stopping to kiss Alyssa first. Picking up a few gifts, they went back and handed one at a time to Alyssa. She opened her gifts and the crowd oohed and aahed over all the tiny baby clothes.

Jessica made her way to the bar and shimmied in between her men. “When should we start practicing to have a baby?” she asked in a teasing tone, unsure if she was really ready to be a mom.

“I thought we were practicing?” Chase looked down at her, smiling.

“That’s true, baby. We’ve been practicing daily.” Beau nodded in agreement. His face turned serious for a minute and he grabbed her hand. “Do you want to have a baby?”

“Yes. No. I don’t know.” She shook her head. “Maybe I’m just being sentimental. I want to be married first and spend some time just being with you both.”

“We’ll keep practicing.” Chase wrapped a hand around her waist, pulling her into his side, and Jessica laughed.

“Oh crap!” Alyssa yelled, getting everyone’s attention.

Jessica ran over, slid on the ground, and knelt next to her chair.

  “What? What happened?”

“My water broke,” she said, scrunching up her face, and Jessica felt her eyes widen in shock.

“What!” Jessica screeched. “How long have you been in labor?”

“This morning,” she complained. “But I really wanted this party.”

“Get the truck, Justin,” Grant ordered. Picking up Alyssa, he swung her up gently in his arms and raced outside. “Bella, can you grab the bag out of the closet?” Bella raced to the closet, and Jessica sat there for a minute as everyone started heading out to their cars.

Pacing around the waiting room, Jessica waited to hear the news.

Beau and Chase were sitting down watching her. She could feel their eyes following her every move, but she couldn’t sit down and relax until she heard some news about Alyssa. They had followed Grant, Justin, and Alyssa to the hospital as well as a ton of other people.

Bella sat on Clint’s lap with both Clay and Cody sitting on either side of her. Hannah was perched on Reece’s lap, while Logan held her hand. Surprisingly, Diana was sitting next to Sam, chatting about something, and Jessica smiled broadly, hoping that maybe Diana would get her happily ever after.

Heavy footsteps grabbed her attention and Jessica turned around and watched Grant stride toward them, smiling broadly. Moving toward him, Jessica stared at him, waiting to hear the news. She knew it was good from the look on his face.

“We have a very healthy baby boy, eight pounds, three ounces.

Alyssa is doing great. Come on back.” Grant led the way and Jessica followed him. Looking over her shoulder, she saw that both Bella and Hannah were following as well.

Opening the door, he held it for them, and Jessica walked in and went straight to Alyssa’s bedside. She was holding a small bundle in her arms and smiling while tears streamed down her face, and Jessica’s eyes started to fill as well. The sight was beautiful. Her very best friend was finally a mommy.

“Hey there, beautiful lady.” She smiled and Alyssa looked up, a huge smile planted on her face.

“Look at him.” She looked back down. “I can’t stop looking at him. He’s so beautiful.” Lowering her voice, she whispered, “He looks like Grant.” Moving the blanket, Jessica looked down and saw the most beautiful, innocent little face and fell in love on the spot.

“I think he looks like you,” she said. Leaning in, she hugged Alyssa the best way she could without crushing the baby. “What’s his name?”

“Riley,” she said, putting her son in Jessica’s arms. Jessica immediately brought him close and held him tight. Rocking side to side, she stared down and realized that she did want to have a baby with her men.

They all chatted for a while until Riley started to get restless and she handed him back to Alyssa. Gathering all the visitors, Jessica led everyone to the exit. She wanted to leave mommy and daddies alone so that they could have some private time together. Looking through the little glass window, Jessica stared at the three of them. Justin and Grant were on either side of Alyssa as she held their son in her arms.

The whole scene was picture perfect.

Turning, she went into the waiting room and headed directly for her men. They surrounde
d her instantly and she closed her eyes, feeling their warmth seep into her.

“Let’s go home,” Beau said, and she nodded. That’s the only place she wanted to be.

Heading out the front door of the hospital, Jessica climbed into the truck, taking the middle seat as Beau and Chase settled in on either side of her. This was the only place she wanted to be, in between her men.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I fell in love with romance novels after reading my first one years ago. I read everything I could get my hands on after that. Thousands of books later, I’m still reading. I love taking trips and meeting wonderful characters with various personalities.

I started writing a little over a year ago. Bella’s Rodeo was my first book. After leaving a job I loved, I turned to writing as an escape.

Through Bella, I was able to take a journey and live out some dirty fantasies in the process.

This book, Jessica’s Breakdown, was a tough book to write because Jessica kept morphing and changing throughout the story. I wanted to write about an in-charge woman with a Domme streak, but she changed into a submissive right before my eyes.

My hope is that readers will find something great in each book I write and that they will follow me on this journey. I’m learning as I go, and my style changes and becomes better with each book.

I love to hear from readers, so please feel free to contact me anytime. Happy reading!
