But I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Being Xael’s mom is what I was born to do. This little girl has brought me more joy than almost anything.

She’s perfect. She’s everything I love most about Xander and me, rolled into one tiny human being.

I step outside onto the deck and smile when I see my husband holding our daughter. Her chubby little legs stick out of her ruffle bottom bathing suit and a bucket hat sits on her head, shieling her eyes from the sun—eyes that were once blue and are now as brown as her daddy’s.

She’s his clone, I’ve resolved myself to that fact.

Xael giggles when she sees me and reaches for me.

The rest of our family mingles around the yard of our second home, hanging out. We all decided to come out here for the weekend and just decompress together.

But while I love all of them, I only have eyes for these two.

They’ve stolen my heart, and I don’t want it back.

  Ever.

  More about Broken Hearts

After everything we’ve been through, I thought we could weather any storm.

But this is one thing neither of us ever saw coming.

Jace and Nova have learned to roll with the punches—they’ve had to. The last few years have been bliss-filled and better than they imagined, but they’re ready to take the next step.

  The problem?

  Life apparently has other plans.

Sometimes you have to fight for what you want, and for Jace and Nova they’ll have to battle this war together, or lose it all in the process.

Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. This book was never supposed to be, but I fell in love with Xander and Thea, and I wanted more, and thankfully you guys wanted more too. The entire time I was writing When Stars Collide I kept thinking that Thea pregnant would be the funniest thing ever, and that sparked the whole idea for this book. Saying goodbye to these two characters is extremely difficult. Don’t get me wrong, I love every book and character I write, but some are just more special than others. It’s a hard thing to describe, but if you write, you probably understand what I mean. Xander and Thea tugged at my heart and became characters I wished desperately were real so I could be best friends with them. I hope you loved reading about their journey into parenthood as much as I enjoyed writing it. This is a story and characters I won’t soon forget. They’re special.

A big thank you goes out to my writing buddy Regina Bartley. You’re always there to sprint with me or just offer an encouraging word when I’m having a rough day. I think you’re my sister separated at birth. I don’t know what I did before you.

Wendi, you’ve become so much more than just my editor/formatter. You kick butt at everything you do and are such an inspiration. You’re stuck with me for life.

Jordan, we might not be sisters by blood, but I think of you as one. You always make me laugh with all your crazy antics, and I’m proud I can call you family. Even if you embarrass me sometimes. Haha. I seriously love you, though, and you’ve grown into such a beautiful, and inspiring young woman. You’re going far in life. I have no doubts. (Remember me when you’re famous)

Emily, Emily, Emily. I can’t believe how much things have changed since you first reached out and messaged me. Not only have we both gotten older, but we’ve both grown so much as people. I’m so proud of everything you’ve done and will do. I’m honored to be your friend, and I can’t wait to see your face again.

Yuli—thank you for all the time and care you put into bringing my books to life. Your attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed and I’m so happy I can have you on my team. You’re a rock star.

Regina, you’ve been designing my covers since practically the beginning, and been doing my photos for almost as long. I love that we click so well and you always kick butt on my covers. I’m always blown away by how amazingly you’re able to capture the essence of the book with all my gibberish I give you. You’re extremely intuitive and you should always trust your gut because I don’t think it’s going to lead you astray.

To my beta readers (you guys know who you are!) thank you for helping to shape this book into what it is. Thank you for continuing to work with me and love my characters as much as I do, but also for not being afraid to tell me when something sucks or needs to be fixed. You guys are awesome.

Hannah and Anthony—thank you both so much for embracing Thea and Xander so much. You both are so absolutely perfect for the characters and you clicked so well together. These characters mean a lot to me and you guys couldn’t have done a better job. I’m so honored to have gotten to know you both and call you friends. You’re both brilliant and going places, I know it. You guys rock.

Tessa, I have to take a minute to thank you too. When I first got the idea for this book I was like…I need a baby, but where are we going to get a baby?! You didn’t have to let us borrow your baby, but you did, and she completely stole the show. Having Zara be a part of the shoot was so exciting and I seriously can’t thank you enough.

Lastly, I have to thank YOU. I couldn’t do this without you. My readers. Thank you for going on this crazy incredible journey with me and always trusting me. I’ve been doing this since I was eighteen, that’s only five years ago, and some of you are just finding me, while others have been with me since the beginning. Regardless, I’m just happy you’re here, and I can’t wait to give you even more books in the future.
