“Fuck, Dave! I said don’t touch the asshole, so don’t fucking touch the asshole!” Aiden’s shouts traveled through the glass and into the house. He waved his hands at his best friend giving some other orders I didn’t hear. After a while of their banter, Dave nodded. Apparently my sweet, intimidating biker won the argument; I chuckled thinking that was old news.

“Mama, look!” Jack called, pointing outside.

I looked to where he was pointing and saw Aiden still talking to Dave. I turned my eyes back to Jack. “What am I looking at, Jack?”

“Daddy!” my son cried, bouncing in my arms enthusiastically.

I did a double take, wondering if I had heard him right. As if he could read my mind, he pounded on the glass and repeated, “Daddy!” I blinked and shook my head. “Hey, buddy. Aiden’s just a friend. An uncle. He’s not your daddy.”

“Daddy!” Jack’s face scrunched. I could sense that he was about to throw a tantrum, so I placed him down—only to have him tug at my shirt to be carried again. I shook my head no, which caused the little rascal to turn toward the window. He pounded his tiny fist again as he cried out for “daddy.”

My heart ached for my son, knowing that he would never have a father figure in his life. Who would want me? I was a single mom. And since my landlord evicted me a month after I moved to Aiden’s house, I’d be homeless soon.

“Daddy!” Jack cried, breaking my reverie.

“No, Jack. It’s Uncle Aiden,” I said. However, the little boy didn’t pay any attention to me. He ran as fast as his tiny legs would take him towards to the front door, where Aiden was coming in. “Daddy!” he greeted.

With a wide grin on his face, Aiden picked him up and tucked him into his inked side, his bulging biceps wrapped tightly around the toddler. Our eyes met for a brief second before Jack’s sticky little hands framed Aiden’s ragged face, pulling his attention away from me.

  “Sup, kid?”

Jack giggled and hugged him, turning my heart into goo. Aiden looked at me over the boy’s shoulder. “We’re leaving.”

I nodded. “Okay, let me just get my purse.”

He frowned. “No, it’s too dangerous.”

“I need to see him, Aiden.”

He shook his head. “It ain’t up for a discussion, baby. Shit might happen. I don’t want you and Jack getting hurt in the process.”

I took in a deep breath and walked toward him. “I’m going. Jack can stay in the car with one of the guys, but I need to see him and make sure Jack and I are safe.”

  “I’ll see to it, baby.”

I touched his shoulder. “I know, but I have to see him locked behind bars.”

“We ain’t callin’ the police.” He tilted his head. “The club and I will deal with him. I’ll make sure that he doesn’t come and bother you anymore. I promise you that.”

I opened my mouth to speak, but Dave’s voice cut in. “Yo, Cam! We gotta leave, man.”

  “Stay?” he asked, hopeful.

I shook my head. He let out an exasperated breath and grabbed my hand.

My dad drove up in the driveway.

“Um, he’s taking Jack to some playland,” I said. “I forgot all about it.”

My dad came in and said hello. He collected Jack and left.

“Your dad didn’t look happy,” one of the bikers said.

“Yeah, I know.” I looked at Aiden. “Can I come now?”

  “No,” he answered.

He motioned to his biker gang. “Let’s move it.”

  “Aiden!” I shouted.

He ignored me as the whir of bikes drifted down the street.

Damn him! He was a stubborn son of a bitch. I blew out a long breath. I went back inside and locked the door. Aiden better keep in touch. I went to grab my cell phone on the table when I noticed it was missing. Damn, Aiden! The fucker took it. Asshole!

I suddenly heard creaking coming from floor boards in the living room. My heart jumped, and I took a step back. I listened, and the sound went away. I started calling for the cat. When she came from the opposite direction, I felt a chill run down my spine.

I was getting the hell out of there. I turned and headed toward the closest exit. As I sped to the door, someone came from behind. I grabbed the handle. I turned it. But powerful arms grabbed me from behind.

As I slowly turned around, I was staring into the eyes of my ex.

  “Vince,” I said.

He held a knife up to my throat. “Hello, Abby.”

I couldn’t breathe. My heart was thundering.

He ran the knife along my jawline. “That gang you hooked up with, they’re so gullible, so stupid. They fell for every clue I left them.” His gaze narrowed. “I heard you’re fucking the one with the skull tattoo on his chest. I always knew you were a fucking whore.”

“I’m just staying with him temporarily.”

“Does he fuck you the way I used to fuck you?”

  “Stop this! Please.”

“You thought I was a piece of trash. And you thought you could get better. But you didn’t. You picked yourself up a dangerous criminal. What kind of example is that for Jack?”

He slapped me hard. Pain exploded in my lip. He then wrapped his fist in my hair and pulled.

“You’re a fucking bitch. Running from me!”

  “I was scared!”

His fingers pressed into my arms. “I’m going to kill you, then I’m going to wait at your dad’s house and kill him and Jack.”

“Just kill me,” I begged. “Leave an old man and a little boy out of this.”

“How about one last fuck for old times?”

  “Fuck you!”

  I spit at him.

He wiped his face, then slapped me. I was going t kick him so hard in the balls he was going to see stars.

And that’s exactly what I did.

In a flash, he grabbed me, and I struggled in his arms.

I broke free. His hand suddenly wrapped around my wrist. I desperately tried to break free. Vince twisted my arm behind my back, pulling me backward. Screaming, I kicked hard. His hand went over my mouth.

  “Shut the fuck up!”

I thrashed in his arms desperate to escape. I couldn’t get out of his iron grasp.

“Before I kill you, I’m going to fuck you that,” he said.

He started dragging me up the stairs to the bedroom.

No fucking way was I going to let him touch me! With all my might, I kicked my feet into his chest. He lost his balance and fell down the stairs.

  I gasped.

  He didn’t move.

I heard the bikers outside the house.

Rushing down the stairs, I jumped over him and went to open the door.

“Aiden! Vince’s here! He fell down the stairs. He’s out cold.”

“When you didn’t answer my call, I knew something was wrong,” he said running up the sidewalk.

Dave nodded. “That’s when we put two and two together. It was a false lead. We knew the asshole was after you.”

Before I left the house, I heard footsteps behind me. Something heavy hit me in the back of the head. Loud curses and yells came from outside as footsteps followed into the house.

Aiden and the guys went after Vince. More shouts. More curses.

  Everything went black.

  Chapter 21

My eyes scanned my surroundings. I was in a hospital room. I shook my head, trying to clear off the fog that lurked in my head and dug the heels of my hands into the bed as I heaved myself up. Sunlight streamed past the window as I groaned in pain.

I glanced at the clock beside the bed and saw that it was already the next day. I tucked some fallen strands of my hair behind my ear and searched the room for Jack. However, he was nowhere to be found.

Panic grasped me as I tried to move, only intensifying the pounding inside my head.

I looked up from the bed and saw Aiden carrying Jack. A rush of relief washed over me as he flopped down on the bed.

&nb
sp; “How you feelin’?” Aiden asked. His voice and face looked haunted.

“Groggy,” I answered. I stretched my arms for Jack, who reached in return. I pressed a kiss on his chubby cheek, snuggling him until he squirmed in my arms.

“Mama!” he said enthusiastically and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

“Hey, baby bear. Have you been good?” I pushed his hair out of his forehead, wanting to see his face.

Jack nodded once more. I looked over at Aiden and noticed him watching us. There was something in his gaze that I had never seen before. He regarded me with such as heat, and concern that butterflies erupted in the pit of my belly.

  “What happened yesterday?” I asked.

“The freakin’ asshole knocked you out with a vase,” Savannah said.

It was my cousin from Devil’s Lake.

“I know everything,” she said. “Foley joined your clan. He helped them figure out what was going on.”

I stared up at the handsome biker. “Guilty as charged,” Foley said.

  “Thank you,” I said.

“I don’t want us to be mad at each other,” Savannah said. “You should’ve told me what was going on.”

  “I should’ve. But I thought we weren’t talking.”

She hugged me. “Life is too short for stupid fights. I didn’t mean what I said about Jane.”

  “It’s okay. All is forgiven.”

We talked for a little bit before she and Foley left to give me and Aiden some time alone. I was so thankful she came, and that we had worked out our differences.

I looked at Aiden. “So what did you do to him?”

“It’s taken care of. So don’t worry,” Aiden said, running the back of his hand on my cheek. “As long as you’re okay, then that’s all that matters to me.”

“Did you call the police?” I asked.

Aiden shook his head. “Like I said, we took care of it.”

“Please, tell me you didn’t kill him.”

The corners of his lips quirked up. “I didn’t kill him.”

“But that doesn’t mean one of the others didn’t.”

“Just know, his blood isn’t on my hands.”

I didn’t know whether to believe him. As far as I knew the Rough Riders Bikers MC were not squeamish about killing.

“Aiden, promise you didn’t do anything bad to him, did you?”

“The bastard is still breathing. And I said you ain’t gotta worry.”

I saw the honesty in his eyes and felt immense relief. I didn’t like the idea of having his hands dirtied because… well, I loved him. I loved him in ways that I didn’t think I could love someone apart from Jack. I also feared that despite how much I told myself not to get involved, I was already in too deep.

For that reason, I believed him completely. “Okay.”

  “Yeah?”

  “Yeah.”

Aiden smiled. “Jack spent the morning bugging me to come see you. Freakin’ drove me crazy.”

I laughed. “Welcome to my world.”

Aiden grunted something that sounded like an agreement. His hand touched my cheek, the rough pad of his fingers brushing against my skin.

When Jack asked to go to the floor, Aiden kissed his head and helped him down. My heart swelled with love and pride. I watched him as he made sure that Jack was fine on the floor. Looking at his face now, I couldn’t remember the time when I didn’t love him. He stayed by my side while I faced the man who stalked and threatened to kill me for two years. He was there at my lowest, and I couldn’t express how much I wanted him around for the highest.

This kind, intimidating, sometimes scary-looking, tattooed man was the love of my life. I didn’t know what I would do without him, and I prayed that I would never have to find out. I knew that if he didn’t feel the same, I would let him go. It was the right thing to do, even if it would kill me to do it.

He pushed a stray strand hair from my face. “What are you thinking about?”

“I’m thinking about you,” I said honestly.

  Aiden’s brows furrowed. “Me?”

  “Yes.”

  “Why’s that?”

“Because I...” I couldn’t bring myself to tell him. What if he rejected me? How could I go on, loving him and knowing he had a different woman in his bed every night?

“Tell me what you’re thinking,” he insisted.

  “There’s nothing to tell.”

“I can see that troubled look in your eyes. You’re lying to me.”

  “I can’t tell you.”

  “Fucking tell me,” he coaxed.

“I love you,” I blurted out.

I waited for his reaction. I waited for him to stiffen and move away from me. I imagined him walking out the door and never coming back. Yet, he didn’t move. He didn’t do any of the things I feared. Instead, he chuckled.

Freaking laughed after I’d just confessed my love for him.

  I scowled. “What’s so funny?”

  “Nothing, babe.”

“Liar. You’re the most insensitive person I know.”

  “That’s old news.”

I forced myself not to laugh. “True. So, are you gonna run the opposite direction now that I’ve confessed my love for you?”

Aiden shook his head, still smiling. “Not gonna happen. I already told you. You’re mine, and so is Jack. And that will stay that way for the rest of our lives.”

My heart fluttered with hope. “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying that I love you too.”

My eyes welled up with tears.

“Come here,” Aiden said as he flung his arm around me. He placed his lips to my ear and murmured the words I’d been dying to hear. “You’re mine forever. And we’re going to be so fucking happy.”

  “Deliriously, fucking happy?” I said.

  “So fucking happy!”

  I smiled.

  Epilogue

  Four years later…

“Aiden, you’re killing me,” I said, moaning when he pushed the tip of his cock inside my pussy.

“So fuckin’ tight, baby. Can’t think of a day when I didn’t feel you nice and tight around my dick.”

“Please, just fuck me already,” I begged.

The tease chuckled behind me and snaked his arm around my waist. He found my clit and drew slow circles on my nub. I writhed beneath him, grinding my butt cheeks against his cock in the exact way that made him crazy.

“Stop that, you little tease.” Aiden grabbed my hips to stop my movements.

“Then quit tormenting me. The kids will be here soon, and I want to cum so badly, I ache.”

“It’s fucking Saturday. They can sleep in all they want,” Aiden responded.

Everything in our relationship happened in one year time intervals. On the first year, we got engaged. On the second, we were married, and on the third, our baby, Lily, was born. I really hoped that now, on the fourth, I wouldn’t get knocked up again.

Some people said we hurried through things, but I knew our timing was perfect. We had a wonderful marriage, two amazing kids, and more love than most people I knew.

My thoughts were cut short by Aiden thrusting inside me. I whimpered as his cock buried deep inside me.

“Aiden!” I cried out, as he pumped his hips.

I held onto the headboard, accepting the hard thrusts as he slammed against my ass. I felt my orgasm build inside me, tightening my walls against his cock even more.

Aiden’s hands glided against my stomach until he found my breasts. His fingers tweaked my nipples, and I moaned as I buried my face into the pillows.

“So fuckin’ sexy,” my husband muttered in my ear.

The sound of flesh against echoed through the room as I cried out again and again with pleasure. I clawed at the sheets as my legs quivered with desire. My inner muscles contracted around his cock, milking him as I cried out my release.

Aiden grunted behind me and pummeled inside me, stretching my sheath as his dick thic
kened. We orgasmed together and fell on the bed, his body covering mine.

Our labored breaths mingled together as I looked at him. “That was a great morning workout.”

  Aiden grunted.

  ***

“Kids, come on!” I called. “Breakfast is ready.”

“Mama, Lily’s awake!” Jack came running into the kitchen, excited about his little sister. His sprint was cut short when his dad grabbed him. The little boy screamed and laughed in delight as daddy tickled his little body.

“Come on, guys. It’s time to eat breakfast,” I said in my mommy voice through smiling lips.

The boys seated themselves in their chairs, and I left the room to retrieve Lily. She bounced up and down in her crib happy to see me.

“Hi, baby,” I cooed as I heaved from her crib. The baby giggled in my arms as I pressed kisses all over her face on our way to the kitchen.

We ate breakfast and went through our morning routine, which normally involved a huge mess. Afterward, we tended to our responsibilities. I looked after the house and kids as Aiden sorted some things out in the auto shop.

I was cooking dinner for us and some of the club guys who were coming over later that day when a pair of hands circled around my waist. I turned around to see Aiden smirking at me, his inked body pressed against mine. I stopped what I was doing and coiled my arms around him, accepting the kiss he offered.

Despite all the years I’d been with him, I still could not believe that I had this man for life as my husband. Although there were times that our marriage wasn’t perfect, I was always thankful to have him in my life.

“The kids are busy, and there’s still some time before the guys arrive. Wanna sneak upstairs and…”

I pushed him away, laughing. “Calm those hormones of yours. You want another kid?”

“C’mon.” He nuzzled my neck. “Just for a couple of minutes.”

“No, Aiden,” I said, shaking my head. “We both worked out this morning in bed. You’re turning into a slut, already, Aiden. So, for now, calm your horses.”

“You better stick to your promises, babe.” My husband muttered.

I glared at him. “When did I ever break a promise?”

Aiden did the smile I liked, and my heart fluttered. “Never.”

I winked at him. “You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me and the kids.”
