His Wild West Wife

He held her hips, kept them firmly united as the riot let loose inside her. A great commotion of passion, need, and love. Blake’s body was hard, tense, and his release followed hers with perfect timing, spreading wave upon wave of gratification throughout her body, flowing through her bloodstream.
It was as they laid there, his perfect weight heavy but not crushing, he on top of her, held tight by the hold she refused to lessen, that she felt inclined to confess one final thought. “I’ve wanted a lot of things in my life, Blake, but I’d never been jealous. Not like I was when I thought you were seeing another woman. I wanted to...” She swallowed.
Blake raised enough to look at her. “Tell me.”
“Harm her.” Shame burned her cheeks. “It scared me. I thought I was turning into my father.”
He brushed her hair away from her face. “I vowed on our wedding day, in front of a churchful of people, to never betray you, and I won’t. Ever.” He kissed both of her eyelids, where hot tears were forming. “I’ve never loved before, Clara, never been loved before, and I’m going to cherish it, completely, for the rest of my life.”
“I do love you, Blake, so very much.”
He chuckled and rolled, pulling her on top of him, where she eagerly snuggled in. “I know,” he said. “You’d never have left me if you didn’t.”
She propped her arms on his chest, gazed into his face. “You’re right. I wouldn’t have.” Another wave of satisfaction, a truly unique one encompassed her. “I couldn’t believe it was you, standing beside Nathan. That you’d found me.”
His hands roamed up and down her back before settling on her bare rump. “I’d never have stopped looking.”
For the first time in her life, no worries clouded her vision because Clara knew with all her heart and soul he never would have. “Kiss me,” she whispered.
“Every day for the rest of our lives,” he answered.
And he did.
