Tempting Tessa

“Maybe,” I say as a smile takes over my face. “Lie down so I can get started.” He listens and gets into position. I straddle his butt and start massaging his back and shoulders.
“God, you’re amazing at that. How have you kept this from me all this time?” he asks me.
“It’s one of my many hidden talents.”
“Hidden talents…tell me more.”
“They are for me to know and you to try and figure out,” I say while laughing.
We continue our banter back and forth while I continue to massage all the tension from his body until my hands hurt and I can’t do it anymore.
“How’s that feel?”
“Like I’ve turned into a cooked noodle. You have ruined me woman,” he teases me as he sits back up and pulls me down onto his lap so he can kiss me. “Damn, woman, you spoil me.”
“I like taking care of you,” I tell him.
“Is that right?” he asks me with a mischievous smile on his face.
“Yep,” I reply, making sure to pop the p.
“Well, why don’t I take you upstairs and take care of you?”
I don’t get a chance to answer him before he’s stood up and scooped me up and is carrying me upstairs. He’s a man on a mission and I will not be stopping him.
Jake is a very generous lover and I always know he will make things between us amazing. He doesn’t disappoint tonight. Not only does the man love to pleasure me with his very talented mouth, but he is determined to always give me multiple orgasms each time we have sex.
We finally fall asleep wrapped up in each other’s arms after he has “worshiped” my body, as he likes to call it.
That weekend we have a ton of fun. It was the weekend we had tickets to the baseball game and it was a blast. Everyone had an amazing time together at the game.
The next few weeks flew by. Jake was busy with work, keeping his crews on task and on schedule. He had many late evenings as is expected in the construction industry. With it being summer break, Ty and I met up with Caroline and her boys on my days off and my parents kept Ty when I was at work. We mostly stayed at my house as that is where all of Ty’s stuff was. It was easier for Jake to just stay at my house rather than the other way around. I had almost brought up the idea to him of us moving in officially together since we practically already did so. We hadn’t been apart at night since the night he started sleeping over here. I’m not sure if he’s ready to give up his house yet or not, but it’s something we can discuss later.
Jake
The summer has flown by. I’ve been slammed at work with this large construction job. I have been working 12 plus hour days, sometimes 6 days a week lately and am starting to get burnt out. It will be amazing when this project is wrapped up in the next few weeks. The client is extremely happy with us and they have already approached me about signing an exclusive contract with my company to build them a few more buildings over the next few years.
Labor Day weekend is approaching soon and I’m looking forward to the long weekend off. I really want to take Tessa and Ty away for the weekend up in the mountains. My family owns a cabin on a lake and I think they would love it there. It will be nice to just get away from the city for a few days and just be together.
I get done with work today around 5, which is hours earlier than I’ve been getting done lately. I decide to surprise Tessa and Ty, so I head right over to her house. When I pull up to her house and get out of my truck I can hear laughter coming from the backyard, so I head there looking for them.
They are both occupied with the game they’re playing and don’t see me walk up, so I walk up behind Tessa and wrap my arms around her waist. Since she didn’t realize I was there and I caught her by surprise, I end up taking an elbow to the gut, knocking me back. Note to self – My girl has some strength to her, don’t piss her off!
“Tessa, it’s me, I’m sorry I scared you.”
“JAKE!” she screeches at me. “You scared the shit out of me!”
Trying not to laugh, and still holding my side where she hit directly on my scar, I say, “Sorry, babe, I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just trying to surprise you. I got done with work at a normal time tonight.”
“Did I hurt you?” she asks me with a worried look on her face.
“Don’t worry about it, I’ll be fine. You just got me right around my scar and the impact is making itself known.”
“I’m so sorry, I was just so caught off guard when you wrapped your arms around me.”
“Really, babe, I’ll be fine. I’m glad to know that you can defend yourself if needed.” This gets her laughing, so hopefully she isn’t mad at me for scaring her.
I reach for her again, this time with her knowledge, and she steps into my embrace and hugs me back. I tilt her chin up so I can kiss her. “How does dinner sound, can I take you and Ty out?”
“I suppose we could go out with our favorite guy if he wants to take us out,” she says as she smiles up at me.
“I’m your favorite, huh?” I ask her as I lean in to kiss her again.
“Oh please, like you don’t already know that. Are you fishing for compliments there, mister?” she asks as she kisses me back.
“Maybe…”
“Where would you like to go eat?”
“I am not too picky, wherever you think Ty would want to go and where we won’t have to wait forever since it is Friday night.”
“There is that music in the park this weekend that started today. I know they have a bunch of food trucks down at it. Do you want to head down there? We can eat and listen to the music for a while and then come back home? I can call Caroline and see if they want to meet us down there.”
“That actually sounds like a great plan. I heard they have some really great bands this year.”
“Ok, I’ll go call Caroline.”
Tessa heads inside while I stay out with Ty. He’s playing on the tower part of his swing set, so I sit down on one of the deck chairs. I bet Ty will just love the live music tonight, and I’m looking forward to spending the evening with them both. With my crazy work hours, I feel like I’ve hardly seen them much lately. It still amazes me how much they’ve changed my life in the past few months. I find myself happier and looking forward to what’s to come. I’ve started thinking about what our future holds and the possibility of marriage and maybe even more kids.
Tessa comes back out a few minutes later after calling Caroline. “They are going to meet us down at the park in about 30 minutes, so we should head that way ourselves soon.”
“I am ready when you are, beautiful,” I tell her as I pull her down on my lap so I can kiss her.
“Ty, please go and get washed up. We’re going to go leave soon,” Tessa calls out to him.
Ten minutes later we are in my truck and on our way to the music festival. It’s packed so it takes us a little bit to find a parking spot and make our way toward the food trucks. Once we’ve all picked what we wanted to eat, we head for the grass area to find a place to sit down and listen to the music.
“I told Caroline I would call her once we found a place so they can come find us.”
Tessa calls Caroline and a few minutes later they find us amongst all the people. We enjoy the music and company. The boys play all around us, dance along to the music and sing their hearts out. I convince Tessa to dance to a few of the songs with me.
There is a break between the live bands while they switch out their equipment, so the radio station that is sponsoring this event has one of their DJs out interacting with the crowds and playing music to keep people entertained. The DJ starts to play Dig Your Roots by Florida Georgia Line, which I know is one of Tessa’s favorite songs right now, so I pull her back up to dance with me to it. As we are dancing around I softly sing the words to her. I know without any doubt that I want to “dig roots” with this woman, as the song suggests. I want everything with her. Now I just have to show her that and make sure we are on the same page.
We stay at the park until arou
nd 9 as the boys all start to melt down as it’s well past bedtime. Once we’re home and have Ty in bed, Tessa and I head out to relax on the deck as it’s such a beautiful evening. I grab a beer and Tessa a glass of her sangria.
“Hey, babe, what do you think of the three of us heading to my parents’ cabin for Labor Day weekend?” I ask her as I hand her the glass of sangria.
“That sounds amazing. Will you be able to get away for the entire weekend? And thanks for bringing me this.”
“You’re more than welcome, beautiful. As for the weekend, yes, I will have the entire weekend off, we are giving all our crews the 3-day weekend off. We will be done on that Friday by 5pm, but I’m hoping to have them off by 2pm as long as things go well that week. I already blocked my calendar out starting at noon that Friday so that we can get an early start toward the cabin.”
“I’m excited for the weekend away. What do I need to prepare to take with us?”
“Just our food and clothing. The cabin is stocked with bedding and it has dishes, pots, and pans etc. If we forget anything, there is a small store not too far from the cabin, but we can do a shopping trip before we go to get everything we want to take with us.”
Tessa
We leave for our weekend trip to the cabin tomorrow and I’m so excited! I took today off work so that I can get us all packed, go grocery shopping and have everything ready for tomorrow. Jake’s crews have stayed on task and he is shutting down at noon tomorrow so we can be on the road early. Ty is so excited to get away as well. Jake has been telling us all the fun things he did when at the cabin while growing up. Hiking, swimming in the lake, campfires- all just relaxing.
Tessa: Hey babe, anything you want me to add to the shopping list? I’m about to head out to the store.
Jake: Can you pick up beer? I forgot to add it to your list. Also, can you make sure we have the stuff to make s’mores please?
Tessa: Already have them on my list!
Jake: You’re the best, babe. I’m going to stop at my house after work to grab a few things and then I’ll be over. What’s the plan for dinner tonight?
Tessa: We can either order pizza or I can grab some extra hamburgers and hotdogs to grill when I am at the store.
Jake: Let’s order pizza, we will be grilling all weekend.
Tessa: Sounds good, I was kind of thinking the same thing. What time do you think you’ll be off work today?
Jake: I should be off no later than 5, hoping for a little earlier but don’t know yet if that will happen.
Tessa: Ok, I’ll take care of ordering the pizza that way I can feed Ty on time and we can eat when you get home.
Jake: Sounds good babe, I’ll talk to you later. I’m about to go meet with the inspector. Love you.
Tessa: Love you too. ♥
I drop Ty off with my mom so I can get all my running around done without him in tow. I hit up Costco and the grocery store to get everything and head back home to get it all packed up and finish washing clothes to get them packed. I want to be completely packed and ready when Jake gets home tomorrow, only having to pack the cooler with our refrigerated items, that way we can hit the road shortly after he gets home.
I finally have everything I can think of packed, so I head back over to my parents’ house to get Ty.
“Hey, I’m back,” I call out when I walk into my parents’ house. It smells like fresh baked cookies in here, so it wouldn’t surprise me if mom and Ty baked again today.
“We’re in the kitchen,” she calls out to me. “We made cookies for you guys to take with you.”
“I thought I smelled cookies when I walked in,” I call out as I make my way into the kitchen.
“I couldn’t say no to him when he asked to bake today.”
“I’m sure we will enjoy the fruits of your labor!” I tell my mom. She knows I would never be mad about her baking with Ty. He loves it, and they do make some pretty awesome desserts. “You also know that Jake would never turn down a Grams and Ty cookie. You guys have spoiled him with your baking.”
“Jake loves my cookies!” Ty says giggling.
“He sure does, buddy,” I tell him as I pull him into a hug.
“What time are you guys leaving tomorrow?” my mom asks me.
“Jake is leaving work at noon. I already have everything packed except the cooler items. I will have that packed when he gets home so all we have to do is load all our bags and the food into the truck and hit the road. It takes a couple hours to get there, so hopefully we’ll be there by mid to late afternoon.”
“Sounds like you have it all planned out and are ready to go!”
“I’m so looking forward to this weekend away. With Ty starting kindergarten next week, I’m looking forward to just having a low-key weekend away from the craziness of being home. I just hope we come back refreshed and ready for all the changes that are going to happen.”
“Well, I hope you guys have a great time. You deserve the weekend away, and hope it’s relaxing and refreshing for all of you,” my mom says, giving me one of her mom looks.
“Will it just be the three of you, or did you invite Luke and Caroline to come?” she asks as she cleans up some of the mess they made while baking.
“We talked about inviting them, and don’t get me wrong, we would have a blast if they did come, but we also kind of wanted the time away for just the three of us.”
“I completely understand. Maybe one weekend this fall we can keep Ty and Caroline’s parents can keep the boys and the 4 of you can take an adults trip back up.”
“That also sounds amazing, thanks for the offer. I’ll talk to Jake about it this weekend and then Caroline and see if we can come up with a weekend that will work for all of us. Maybe sometime around Jake’s birthday in October.”
“Did you ever talk to Bridget to see if they will let you change your work hours?”
“I did and she’s waiting for approval from HR. Since my department doesn’t offer anything but 12-hour shifts, she isn’t sure if they can accommodate my request. If they can’t, I think I’m going to drop down to just 2 days a week. I’ve invested all the money from Matt’s life insurance, as well as the settlement the city’s workman’s comp insurance paid out to us, so that I don’t have to stress over working as you well know. Really, the only large amounts of money I used were to pay off the house, my car and what little debt we had when he died.”
“Well, you know that we will do anything we can to help you with Ty, so don’t worry about it if they can’t accommodate your schedule request. I’ll just bring him home to your house after school, that way he is already home and fed when you get off work.”
“Thanks, Mom, I really appreciate it. I know Jake has also offered to help with him when I’m working. His schedule will really slow down once they complete the building they are on until next spring when new jobs start.”
“Just remember to lean on all of us that love you and are willing to help you, Tessa. You don’t have to do all of this alone. You have a great man who loves you and wants to help you. Don’t push him away.”
Wow, my mom really knows how to read me. I still forget that I can lean on Jake when it comes to Ty. I don’t ever want Jake, or Ty for that matter, to feel like I expect him to step in and be the second parent. Ty is my responsibility and I don’t want him to feel like I’m pushing him off to anyone else. It took me a long time after Matt died to not feel guilty for how much time my parents give to helping me with him without a single complaint.
“I know, Mom, I’m trying to get better about that. It will just take time to readjust to having someone besides you and Dad that I can count on so much.”
“I know, Tessa, I just see how much he loves both you and Ty and how great of a man he is for the both of you,” she tells me as she leans over to give me a hug. “Let’s get these cookies packed up for your trip.”
“Sounds good, I need to get Ty home and get our pizza ordered for dinner tonight,” I say as we both start packaging up the cookie
s they baked today.
“Hey, Ty, we need to get packed up and head home soon. Grams is going to pack up the cookies for us to take with us. Can you make sure all your toys are picked up, please?”
“Yes, Mom,” he calls back to me. He’s been bouncing off the walls all week excited for our weekend away.
Ty and I pack up and leave my parents’ house. I ordered our pizza before I left, so we swing in and pick it up on our way home. We make it home a little after 5, so I get Ty his pizza so that he doesn’t start whining about being hungry until Jake gets home. I’m a little shocked when Jake walks in just a couple of minutes later. I wasn’t expecting him for another hour or so.
“Hey, babe,” he says as he slips his arm around me, pulling me into a hug.
“Hey, did you already go get your stuff?”
“Yep, I left as soon as I was done with the inspector.”
“Awesome, I have everything packed except for the cooler items that I’ll pack once you’re on your way home tomorrow so that we are ready to load and hit the road once you are here.”
“Sounds like you have everything under control,” he says as he leans in for a kiss.
“Yep, I am so ready to get out of town for the weekend.”
“Me too, babe, me too.”
“Hungry?” I ask him as I pull out plates for our pizza.
“Starving, I didn’t eat much for lunch.”
“Well, let’s eat, and then we can make sure I have everything we will need.”
“Sounds good, beautiful.”
We both get our pizza and join Ty at the table to eat. Once we’re done, we clean up and go over what I had packed and added the items Jake had picked up from his house. We are ready for our weekend away!! We play some with Ty until it’s bedtime and then settle in for the evening.
“Come here, beautiful,” Jake says as I come downstairs from putting Ty to bed. “I can’t wait to get away with you this weekend.”
“I know, I’ve been looking forward to it since you brought it up. I’m ready to be where it’s quiet and we can just relax and sit around the fire and grill and just be.”
