“Drake,” Alex said in a breathless tone, biting down on her lip, “please, don’t stop.” She licked her lips and took a deep breath.

He kissed her lips and continued down her neck as she turned her head to the side, allowing him to trail kisses to her collarbone. Kissing further down, he reached her perky, erect nipples. He swirled his tongue around one of them and felt her body react and her pussy clench him tight.

“I love that.” Alex exhaled, wrapping her legs around his ass and pulled him closer.

Sweet kisses to her breasts led to light biting of her nipples, making her squeal and push her hips up to meet his next thrust. He sucked each of them roughly into his mouth, enjoying the taste of her skin on his tongue. Her hips became more erratic, more demanding the rougher his mouth became.

“Drake!” Alex dug her nails into his back while her pussy held his cock tight. She let go and coated his dick with her hot release. “Oh, holy shit, wow!” She exhaled and writhed beneath him as her body stiffened and peaked.

He slowed to a stop, staying deep inside her while placing soft kisses to her lips. Alex giggled and tightened her legs around his waist, holding him. Between kisses he laughed, feeling free from all the pain and emotion that had held his heart hostage the last few months. Her curvy body molded to his, becoming a perfect fit.

“More, city boy, I want more.”

Drake wrapped his arms around her back and pulled her up as he sat back on his knees. He wanted more, too, and wasn’t sure he would ever get enough of her. She sat on his thighs, his arms holding her close while he made love to her mouth.

Alex placed her feet beside his legs, lifting up then impaling herself on his length. Her breaths were fast and ragged. Between kisses she moaned, riding him faster and harder. Drake gripped her hips tight, guiding her and pulling her down his cock.

“Yes, give it to me harder!” she wailed, looking into his eyes and holding her arms around his neck.

“Fuck yeah, ride that cock,” Drake yelled, unable to calm the storm that raged inside of him. Their lovemaking had heated up into an all-out frenzied rush of emotions.

Alex’s head fell back, her slender neck exposed and her breasts pushing out, begging to be sucked. Their pace continued, heated and uncontrollable as Drake sucked her hard nipples, setting off another release. “Oh, oh,” she started before moaning, allowing her release to take hold of her.

“Alex!” Drake’s release shot forth, exploding with one last thrust. Short thrusts followed with loud growls, shooting the last of his cum out as he held her body tightly against his. Her hair pooled around his shoulders, tickling his sensitive skin. He loved having her close, feeling her heart pound while hearing her soft cries at his ear. Heaven help him, he had fallen hard.

Alex inhaled deeply, listening to crickets chirp in the background, loving how Drake held her tight and kissed her neck with a purr. She kept her legs wrapped around him, hating the thought of letting go. Sure, she’d had sex before, but nothing compared to what they created. While caressing his strong back, she loved the warmth created between them, loving to feel his skin touching her own.

She ruffled his hair and Drake leaned back, giving her a heart-stopping smile and taking her breath away with his calm innocence. “I’m so glad we waited.” He cradled her cheek in his hand.

“Me, too,” Alex replied, returning the gesture, and slid off his lap.

Drake opened the cooler and pulled out two fresh beers, opening hers before handing it to her. “I never realized the stars could shine so bright.” He glanced up at the sky and pulled her to his side. He kissed her on the forehead, holding her close, and tipped up his beer. “I’ve never camped out before I came here.”

“Are you kidding?” Alex asked, thinking he was making a joke.

  “Nope, hard-core city boy here.”

Alex’s mind began to wonder about his life and what he went through. It didn’t take long for her to realize that his situation was very much different from her own. She wasn’t sure how the senator managed to hold down two separate family lives, but was sure that someone suffered. That someone was Drake. “Hold me, Drake.” She didn’t want to delve into the past, somehow knowing Drake didn’t need her sympathy. He was only enjoying a first of many to come.

They positioned their pillows against the cab of the truck and leaned back to gaze at the starry sky. Although the air was warm, the blankets made them comfortable and cozy in their makeshift love nest.

“Oooh, look.” Alex pointed up at the sky. “There’s Orion’s Belt.”

Drake cleared his throat. “Yeah, it is. My mother said that the middle star was ours, and when she left this Earth, she wanted me to look at that star shining up above and think of her.”

“I’m sorry, Drake. I didn’t know,” Alex replied, not wanting to sour the mood.

“No, don’t be sorry. My mother would have wanted me to be happy and remember the wonderful times when I look at that star.” He paused. “She would have adored you, Alex.”

Alex snuggled closer to him with emotion overcoming her. She knew without a doubt his heart was as pure and wonderful as the world around her. He seemed cocky on the outside, but inside, he was the man she’d been waiting for.

  Chapter 8

Alex awoke to the sound of rough breathing against her neck. She swatted the offending nose away and felt a warm, sticky ooze travel toward her collarbone. Blinking her eyes, she adjusted to the orange glow of the rising sun. A snort at her ear caused her to sit up immediately and nudge Drake, who was sleeping soundly beside her with his arm draped across her waist.

“Wake up.” She giggled with a herd of onlookers sticking their noses over the bed of the truck, curious about the contents.

  Drake smiled, snuggling closer.

“Drake, wake up.” Alex repeated and nudged him.

Blinking his eyes again, Drake focused on her before looking around. Sitting up instantly, he backed up. “Whoa.”

Alex laughed, looking at the cattle huddled around the truck with their necks stretching to search the inside of the bed they slept in. “They’re actually more curious than cats.”

Drake pushed the nose of a cow away from him. “I guess, but cats don’t weigh over a thousand pounds.”

“Let’s get to the house. I, uh, need a shower.” Alex wiped the saliva off her neck.

“But first”—Drake pulled her close, placing a kiss to her lips—“I had a wonderful night.” He stopped to look deep into her eyes and caressed her cheek.

Alex blushed, leaning on his hand. “I had a great time, too.” She hoped this wasn’t a “thank you for a great night and see you later,” or never again. There was really no time in her schedule to get involved with anyone, but it felt so wonderful to wake up in his arms, even though she woke up to an audience. At least she knew that cattle wouldn’t tell, and that made her giggle.

“What’s so funny?” Drake asked with a look of intense curiosity on his face.

She motioned at the herd. “I wonder how much of a show they got last night.”

“Hmm, I don’t know about them, but it was spectacular from my position.” Drake looked first at the cattle then back at her.

“How about you remind me again how spectacular it was.” Alex touched his tan, muscular chest. Her heart picked up speed as a new thrill of anticipation made her clit tingle. The soft-orange hue of the morning sun made the moment surreal, and the audience didn’t bother her.

“Exhibitionist are we?” Drake joked, taking a deep breath while tracing her erect nipple with the pad of his finger.

“Mmm, yes.” Alex moaned, closing her eyes while he pinched her nipple between his fingers. She loved his hands on her sensitive breasts. He had a way of sending a jolt of excitement to every extremity, making her want more. Reaching beneath the blankets, she found his excitement evident, hard and erect, making her gasp. “Wow, you’re quite a morning person, aren’t you?”

  “Normally I’m
not, but being here, right now with you, has quite an effect on me. I’ve never wanted anything as much as I want you at this very moment,” Drake confessed, pushing back her tousled hair.

The sincerity of his voice sucked her in. She’d never been so overcome with desire for a man, nor felt her heart pound so erratically in her chest. She climbed onto his lap, kissing him while running her fingers through his hair. Plunging her hips down, she teased his length back and forth between her wet folds.

“Wow, good morning to you, too,” Drake teased between kisses.

“I want you now, Drake,” Alex breathlessly spoke, grinding against his cock. She was hungry to feel him inside her again and experience the intimacy again. This time, though, her appetite was ravenous.

“Damn, baby, you’re going to make me come doing that.” Drake gripped her hips while guiding them.

“Please, now. Give it to me hard and rough,” Alex begged. Her body hummed with energy and desire. The outside world became a blur, and only Drake was in focus.

He overtook her, rolling her over with his body above hers. Blue eyes stared at her for a moment as he breathed heavily. “Your wish is my command,” he said with a groan before leaning back on his knees and reaching for a condom.

Alex watched with amazement as the sun hit Drake’s chest, highlighting his muscles and toned body. The man was simply gorgeous, and the sight of him made her insatiable. She licked her lips, watching the condom gently roll down his cock. His grin and wink sparked a hotter flame inside her. Wiggling her finger, she beckoned him forward, loving how his grin never wavered and his eyes lit up with mischief. “We have an audience, so give them a show to remember.”

His lips met hers a second before his hips crashed down onto hers, his cock slamming inside her, making her squeal with delight. “Heavens yes, Drake. Just like that.” She wailed with her hands planted firmly against his chest.

Drake eased out before thrusting in again and again. She became light-headed. Her lips parted, allowing her tongue to trace them with a purr. She closed her eyes, allowing the rhythm of his hips to seduce and please her. Each wail she let escape made the cows bellow loudly. Drake slowed, pressing his lips to hers with a chuckle. “I think they’re pleased. How about you?”

“Mmm,” Alex groaned, opening her eyes and pulling his weight down upon her. “Just don’t stop,” she breathlessly spoke between kisses and wrapped her legs around his waist.

  * * * *

The morning sun was bright, bathing their bodies in its rays, the warmth caressing him. Nothing in the world had ever felt as wonderful or natural as it did at that very moment. Even with the obnoxious nosy cows poking their heads over the bed of the truck, Drake still maintained, wanting to fulfill Alex in every way possible. Her cute sighs and the sound of her breathing between light nips to his neck made his cock strain.

Pushing himself, he continued, delivering the powerful thrusts she begged for. Beneath him Alex moaned. Her feet held his ass and pulled him toward her with each stroke. She looked so beautiful with her lips parted and eyes closed. Firm fingers clasped his pectoral muscles and squeezed.

“Oh, Drake, yes.” She opened her eyes to gaze at him. “Kiss me.”

With one last plunge, Drake let go when their lips touched. He exploded, cum expelling so fast that the tip of his cock ached. Ecstasy spread, setting his nerve endings on fire, making him tremble uncontrollably. The intensity was so strong it left him weak as his hips pumped, emptying himself completely. Muscles in his arms quivered as he held his weight above Alex. He fell to her side for fear of hurting her and sucked in a deep breath with an electric buzz pulsing throughout him.

Drake looked up to the sky, now light pink as the sun began to fill the sky. Was this love? His heart raced with incessant beats. A feeling of weightlessness overtook him as his racing heart began to calm. Whatever weight that had once held him was gone.

“Wow.” Alex sputtered between breaths, grinning at him while holding her hand to her heart. She giggled and pulled his hand, placing it where her heart thundered. “See what you do to me?”

Drake pulled her hand back to his chest. “Likewise.” Leaning over, he caressed her cheek, brushing his lips against hers. “I’ve had the best time of my life.”

“Me, too.” Alex met his gaze with misty eyes and laughed.

Drake didn’t understand what the laugh was about until he felt a slimy, wet nose touch his ass. “Whoa.” He lurched forward, away from the curious creature.

Alex began laughing hysterically, holding her stomach as tears rolled down her cheeks. “That is the funniest scene I’ve ever witnessed.” She squealed as Drake grabbed some napkins and began wiping the goop off.

“Their saliva is really axle grease. Isn’t it?” He tossed the paper toward the trash bag.

“It’s sticky, I’ll say that.” Alex rubbed her arm where another cow left her mark. “Come on. Let’s get back to the house and wash it off.”

  * * * *

Drew and Liv entered the back door of Damon’s house. Drew was armed with the daily newspaper. He knew what the press was like and how most of the time they skewed the news in order to make a story, but this, well, he wasn’t so sure.

“Hey, you two.” Regan greeted them with a smile that quickly turned to a frown. “I don’t like that look, Drew.”

Drew smacked the newspaper down on the table. “I guess no one else has seen the front page today besides me.” He shook his head and sat down. “I’ll admit, I’m no saint, but I think Drake wins hands down for being a douche bag.”

Damon coughed, choking on his coffee. “Give me that paper.” He reached across the table.

“It’s all there, everything that proves it. I may be an asshole, but no one can say I’m not without good reason.” Drew poured himself a cup of coffee. “Alex’s daddy isn’t going to be happy when he gets a hold of that.”

“Son of a bitch,” Damon grumbled and scrubbed his jaw before handing the paper to Regan.

Regan shrieked. “This is private property!”

“The press doesn’t care about private property or privacy, for that matter, Regan,” Drew replied.

“I think it’s nothing more than some guy looking for his fifteen minutes of fame, Drew,” Liv objected. “I know that picture doesn’t help matters.”

“Honey, you’re the photographer. Haven’t you ever heard the expression, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words?’ That reporter didn’t even need to write a juicy story about Drake’s past,” Drew commented with a bad feeling grumbling in his stomach.

“Says the guy hanging out in strip clubs?” Liv smarted off, giving him a pat on the shoulder. “You know that there are people out there that will exploit others at any cost.”

Regan sat down beside Damon, holding the paper so they could both read it together. Drew sipped his coffee, hating the news story and how it would hurt Alex. Everyone knew he hated Drake. It wasn’t a secret. What they didn’t seem to realize was his want to have normalcy in his life and theirs as well. His father’s position caused grief for all of them for years, further straining a relationship that was held by a string. That string was quickly unraveling, and even though he lay in the hospital recovering from a heart attack and surgery, Drew couldn’t muster an ounce of sympathy for him.

“Damn it. Someone always wants to add fuel to a fire, don’t they?” Damon complained, tossing the paper on the table. “I know how that looks, but we have been there, Drew, and you know it.”

“Yeah, I know. I’m the president of the black sheep society. Remember?” Drew shook his head. He’d pulled some stunts before, but this was different. Drake was a womanizer, according to the article, and now he had spent all night with a woman Drew cared for like a sister.

Liv hugged Regan, who had begun to cry. “It will pass, you know it will.”

Regan sobbed. “Alex is going to be so embarrassed.”

“At least they don’t know her name. The picture is grainy. Thank goodness that re
porter didn’t have a good lens.”

“Alex will know, and we know.” Regan turned and caught a glimpse of the pair walking across the back porch. “Oh, hell. They’re here.”

Drake and Alex entered while giggling and holding a picnic basket. Drew sat and simmered in his chair.

“Oh, good morning,” Alex greeted them with a smile that slowly started to fall when she realized all eyes were on her.

“Is everything all right?” Drake also noticed everyone watching them as they entered.

Damon stood up and cleared his throat. Drew was glad. He didn’t know if he could muster the restraint he needed.

“I hate to be the one to tell you two, but last night a reporter trespassed and took pictures.”

“What?” Alex shouted and moved toward the table. When she opened the paper and saw the photo she screamed.

Drake pulled her into a hug, and Drew rolled his eyes, thinking they should have known better.

Regan stroked Alex’s back. “I’m so sorry. This is really all my fault.”

“The picture is so bad. No one will know who you are,” Liv added.

Alex pushed away from Drake. “My father will know it’s me.” She sprinted out of the dining room and up the stairs with her boots clunking up each one.

Drew sat quietly, allowing Alex some time alone. His heart hurt for her, and he also knew without a doubt her father would not be pleased.

“I need the name of the photo credit on that picture.” Drake grabbed the paper and disappeared out the back door.

“Should I have told him that’s a lost cause?” Drew pushed away from the table.

“No.” Damon growled with his hands on his hips. “He’ll figure it out soon enough.”

Drew excused himself and started up the stairs. Liv smiled and patted him on the shoulder as he walked by. He had been through this shit before with the press and knew how bad it sucked, but he’d grown up living this way. Alex was a different story, and she could use a lot of comfort right now.
