“Yes, sorry if we are late,” Hank, said.

“You’re not late I was just catching up with an old classmate. Come we’re going to get a ride home with them.”

“Ash, Miah this is Hank and Courtney, guys this is Ash and Miah King. They’ll be giving us a ride home.”

“Thank you,” Courtney and Hank said.

“No problem this way, you guys are just in time, we are about to board.”

They followed the Kings’ out on to the tarmac where their plane waited.

“When was the last time you saw Connor?” Liam asked Ash.

“Almost a year ago, he helped me get the judge who married Miah and I.”

“We should all get together soon. Maybe he has a set of triplets on the way too.”

Ash laughed, “That would be just too weird.”

  ***

Liam got out of the cab in front of the house; it was now noon, and he was happy to be home. He was glad he ran into Ash, who offered them a ride, or he would probably still be stuck on a commercial flight. He didn’t call Percy to pick him up as he wanted to surprise Azolah. He wanted to see her face and tell her about everything that happened.

He walked into the house and went looking for her. He found her in the family room arranging roses in a vase. He stood and watched her in silence, taking in every little movement she made. He watched as her messy ponytail bounced with her every move. He admired her slender body that was ripe with his children. He placed his bag and the model plane he bought for Wyn on the floor and walked up to her.

He knew she hadn’t heard him, he tried not to frighten her.

“Hello gorgeous,” he said softly walking across the room to her. She turned around in shock and the vase she was holding slipped through her fingers and shattered on the floor. He stopped in his tracks. His breath caught in his throat at the sight of her face. She was simply, beautiful. He took in every feature, her expressive, warm honey colour eyes, her smooth cocoa skin, and her small straight nose and her plump lips in her oval face. His hands itched to caress her smooth cheeks.

“You’re simply perfect,” he whispered without even thinking.

“I’m, not perfect,” she said shyly looking at him.

“Neither am I, but what you might think is your imperfections are what make you perfect."

He found his feet and walked to her pulling her to him and kissing her. She tasted of chocolate macadamia cookies. “God I missed you,” he said taking her lips again.

“I miss you too,” she said when they came up for air.

“You taste like cookies,” he said not letting go of her.

“That’s because I had a few half an hour ago. Why didn’t you call? Percy could have came and picked you up.”

“I had to make a few stops on my way home, and I wanted to surprise you.”

She turned in his arms looking at him. “I’m just so happy you’re ok,” she said crying.

“Hey no crying I’m here, and I’m never leaving you again.”

  “Promise?”

“Promise. Now I want to make love to my wife,’

“What about your mother, she’d been worried about you, we all were,” Zola said.

“I’ll see her afterward, right now I just want to be with you, and then see our son when he returns from preschool,” he said lifting her into his arms and walking towards the stairs.

“You’re going to hurt your back. I’m heavy,” she protested.

“Please, I’ve lifted heavier weights than you, now relax and be a good wife and pretend I’m this strong macho type guy you’re in love with.”

“That I don’t have to pretend,” she said throwing her arms around his neck.

  CHAPTER TEN

“Where are you going?” she asked as he passed their bedroom.

“I’m going to have a shower, I would like you to join me,” he said putting her down to stand in the middle of the master bathroom.

He looked into her eyes and marveled at their beauty. He could gaze at her beauty for the rest of his life and never tire. “I know you like showering alone, but if you don’t...”

“No, I would love too. You caught me off guard that night. I have never showered with anyone except Wyn before.”

“I didn’t make it easy for you, I should have asked if I could join you,” he said caressing her cheek. “I have been an arrogant ass haven’t I?”

“I wasn’t any better. I acted like a bitch. But at the time, I didn’t know the real you. You were just my attractive arrogant and insufferable boss.”

“So you did find me attractive then huh?” he asked grinning cockily.

“That’s all you got from what I just said, not insufferable or arrogant?”

“Hey, I have the right to choose what I want to hear, you’ve called me a jackass before so arrogant seems pretty tame.”

“For future reference don’t expect to use your selective hearing when you want to get you way,” she warned.

“I’ll keep that in mind. Now back to the present, I would be honoured if you would join me in the shower.”

“I would like that,” she said smiling and began to undress.

“No please, allow me,” he said putting a hand over hers. He began to undo the buttons on her shirt one at a time until they were all undone. He gently pulled the shirt over her shoulders and stepped back to get a better view of her full breasts encased in red lace. “Exquisite,” he murmured cupping both breasts in his palms while he rubbed his thumbs across her dark nipples.

He heard her moan and watched as her eyelids lowered her long lashes met. She bit her lip, and he wanted to tell her not to because he wanted the pleasure of doing that himself. Her breasts heaved in his hands as her breath quickened as the pads of his thumbs increase its rhythmic strokes.

“That feels so good, don’t stop,” she begged.

He got hard just from watching her and hearing her sexy voice begging him not to stop. He dropped his hands, and she whimpered. He replaced his hands with his mouth running his tongue over one nipple before taking it into his mouth and sucking on it through the lacy bra. She leaned her head back and moaned pulling his head closer.

He stopped and looked at her closed eyes, “open your eyes, I want to see them as I taste you,” he said.

She did as he asked and he watched in heated desire as her as her pupils dilated. He took the other breast and repeated the same. This time, he kept his eyes on hers as he ran a hand up her skirt, caressing her leg as he made his way up her thighs to her hips. He slowly pulled her panties down and felt her legs slightly buckle. He steadied her and let her underwear, the matching bottoms to the bra fall around her ankles as he slightly spread her legs.

He dipped a finger into her moist center and felt her whole body shudder. He curled his finger back and forth slowly building up a tempo before he increased his speed until he knew she was close to orgasm. He pulled away when he felt her body tighten.

“What, no what’re you doing? Why did you stop?” she asked confused.

“For this,” he said, as he knelt in front of her and pulled her maternity skirt down her hips. He lifted her out of the pile of clothes around her ankles and kissed her stomach from her belly button all the way to her hips before he put her to stand over his face. He continued where he left off with his tongue, licking and stroking her clit. He gently sucked on her sensitive nub holding her in place with his hands on her hips. He dipped his tongue into her sweet core and made fluttering motions. Within a minute, she came spilling all her sweet nectar onto his tongue.

“T-that was incredible, but it was all one-sided,” she said breathlessly.

He smiled at her as he got off the floor and undressed. “That was for you, come,” he said leading her to the shower.

Azolah could barely walk after what had just happened. She thought that might be her most intense orgasm yet. She stepped into the shower under warm running water and

looked at her husband’s erection. She grabbed the soap and lathered it between her hands. “Turn around,” she instructed him. He raised an eyebrow and did as she asked. She moved closer to him and began to lather his back. She ran her hands up and down on either side of his spine before running a hand along his spine up his nape. She then ran her hands along his arms then the insides of his ribcage.

  He groaned, and she smiled.

“That feels good babe, as much as I love this if you don’t stop I’m going to explode,” he warned.

“That’s the idea,” she said wrapping her arms around him sliding her hands up and down his trim chest, then stomach before pausing at his hips. She then ran her hands down his thighs before taking his harden flesh into her palm. She worked his flesh back and forth under the running water feeling the muscles pulsing. She let go and moved around to stand in front of him.

“How would you like me to finish him off?” she asked pushing him gently against the wall.

“Is that a trick question? I want to be buried deep inside of you.”

“Soon, but I have something else in mind,” she said kneeling awkwardly.

  “Azolah, you don’t—”

“I want to, just enjoy,” she said taking him into her mouth clamping onto him tightly.

“Jesus, you’ve got to stop, or I’m going to explode in your mouth,” he gritted.

She shook her head and continued to suck on him while stroking his testicles until he lost control and with a groan spilled his warm seed into her mouth.

“Azolah, thank you for that” he said running a shaky hand down his face.

“I'm glad I can Please my husband.”

“Of course you do, have I ever complained?” he asked pulling her to her feet.

“Now you can get your second wish,” she told him with a kiss.

“And what’s that?” he asked a hand on her ass.

  “You buried deep inside me.”

He groaned sensually and turned her around and spread her legs. With the rise of her hips, he entered her from behind. They both sighed in pleasure. He pumped into her taking care, not to go too deep or too hard. He kissed her hair while his arms grabbed her hips.

“Have I ever told you how much I love your hair?’

“Are we going to do this now?” she panted pushing back, so his thrusts deepened.

“Well I do, please never straighten it again,” he grunted.

“Shut up Liam and screw me already.”

He laughed, “I’m beginning to realize you have a naughty mouth, I love it.”

Her response was only a grunt as she pushed back her hips to meet his thrust and with a groan, she came, and he followed.

“That was a work out; can we have a nap now before Wyn gets home?”

“That sounds like a great idea,” he said turning off the shower and wrapping her in a towel before lifting her into his arms. He dried her off then rested her on the bed and climbed in behind her. He pulled her to him her back cuddled against his chest. She sighed in content and closed her eyes.

  “Marry me,” he said.

Her eyes flew open; obviously, she didn’t hear him right, “What?” she asked turning to look at him.

“You heard me right marry me Azolah.”

“We’re already married silly,” she said heart fluttering.

“Yes we are, but that was not for love. I want to marry you now because I'm in love you, Azolah Bradford. I had planned for this to be more romantic but now feels like the right time. I can’t picture life without you and our children in it. I know you’re in love with me to so let’s get married because we love each other and want to spend our lives together,” he said pulling out the top drawer in the nightstand and took out a ring box. He flipped it open to reveal a big emerald cut ruby ring with white sapphires on the entwined halo band. It was gorgeous.

She gasped at the ring, “it’s beautiful,” she said in wonder reaching out to touch it then caught herself and pulled her hand back.

He smiled, “It’s yours you can touch it. So what’s your answer? We can get married after the girls are born; you deserve the wedding of your dreams Azolah.”

“I never wanted to marry until I met you. Yes, I’ll marry you,” she said hugging him.

He took her hand and placed the ring next to the plain wedding band.

  “A perfect fit.”

“When did you get this?” she asked still looking at the stunning ring.

“I had the idea of buying you a ruby engagement ring for the past two months, so I stopped off at the jewelers on my way home from the airport.”

  “You’ve been busy.”

“Yes I have, I know you're tired but there’s something I wanted to talk to you about before I left for Rome.”

“Okay, what did you want to talk about?”

  “Maddy.”

She stiffened, she didn’t want the other woman's memory blemishing this special moment of hers, “what about her?”

“I know before when you tried to ask about her, I always cut you off and changed the subject, I wasn’t ready to talk about things then.”

  “And you’re now?”

  “Yes.”

  “Okay.”

“Azolah, Madeline was my first love, I’m not going to pretend or deny I was once in love with her. But she was never my soul mate or the love of my life. That title goes to you. You’re the love of my life and my soul mate. Never doubt what position you hold in my heart. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life with anyone other than you and our kids sweetheart.”

“I read about the two of you and seen how you looked at her like she was your world.”

“I loved her once but as time went by I realized that something was missing. After I met you I discovered I loved her more as a friend than as a soul mate. Things with Maddy and me weren’t going well in the end and I think that's why. I think we were just keeping up appearances for our parents sake. I should have had the courage to call off the wedding. I loved her but I wasn’t happy, not like I am with you. I was working long hours, and she was planning the wedding of her dreams and whenever we were together we fought. I should have ended things with her when it began to get out of control.”

  “Why didn’t you?”

“I guess part of it was I didn't want to disappoint everyone and the other that I didn't want to be alone. Instead I immersed myself in my work and let her plan the wedding of her dreams. The night of the accident, we had our biggest argument. She was driving and I should have waited until we got home to continue the argument. Since she was too upset to focus on driving."

“I thought you were the driver,” she said sitting up in bed.

“That’s what I wanted people to think. Madeline was driving I asked her to pull over so I could drive. She said she wasn’t pulling over and that she was fine. I told her to slow down or she would kill us both. She scoffed and said the world wouldn't miss the great Liam Bradford.”

“She didn’t say that,” Zola gasped.

He smiled, “Maddy could be quite dramatic at times, and your defiance reminds me a bit of her. I think you two would have gotten along.”

“I would never be that reckless with my life or yours. That’s selfish.”

“I know, but she was a good person. The stress must have been too much for her. Anyhow the next thing I know, we hit a tree. I moved her to the passenger side when the shock wore off. I didn’t want anyone to blame her. I often wondered if it would have made a difference.”

  “It wasn’t your fault Liam.”

“If I didn't get her so upset she wouldn't have been distracted.”

“She was a grown woman; she had a choice to pull over but didn't."

He sighed. “That’s what my therapist said, but it’s still hard not to take the blame when I’m alive and she isn’t.”

“You’re seeing a therapist?” she asked in surprise.

  “Yes, I’ve be
en going for six weeks now. She has helped me come to terms with my feelings for you and the guilt I feel about Maddy’s death. She let me see that I had to let go of my guilt and Maddy if I wanted to have a life with you.”

“Liam I don’t want you to forget her, she was a big part of your life.”

“I know babe, I’m not forgetting her, I’m just letting go of the past so I can build the future I want with you and our children. A part of me will always love her, but you’re the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. I'm in love with you Azolah.”

She kissed him and smiled, “You’re the only man I love and want. I think it's time you call me Zola don’t you think?”

  ***

On March first at 2 am, after fifteen hours of labour, identical triplets Madeline, Sophia and Elizabeth Bradford were born. With Madeline, arriving first, followed by Sophia three minutes later, and then Elizabeth five minutes after that.

“They’re as perfect and beautiful as their mother,” Liam said smiling up at her from where he was sitting holding Sophia and Elizabeth in the rocking chair.

“Yes, they are perfect, I can’t believe they are finally here,” she said counting Madeline’s fingers once more.

“I still want a brother. Why are they bald?” Wyn asked frowning at his sisters. Her mother and mother-in-law had dropped him off when visiting hours started at the hospital an hour ago to meet his sisters.

Liam laughed, “That’s how some babies are born. Do you remember the picture mummy showed you when you were a baby? You were bald too.”

“Well I still want a brother. They can't play catch with me,” he sulked.

“Of course, they can, girls can do almost everything boys can. Maybe if you ask them nicely when they are old enough they’ll play with you,” Liam said.

Wynter looked at his father then the babies he was holding with doubt. "No, I want a brother."

"How about you give your sisters a chance and if they don't want to play with you then you can have a brother," Liam said.

“Can I have two brothers?” Wyn asked smiling.
