The Dark Kingdom Anthology Page 59

by Krissy V

Well, that’s not going to happen. I will no longer be treated like a slave in my own house or treated like a child. I found a set of keys in the hallway that I have discovered open most doors I’ve tried so far. They were just sitting on a unit as I walked past. I would bet it was more than likely Knave. That man could lose a million and find a penny. There isn’t a day goes by where I don’t hear him getting shouted at for something.

I don’t trust anyone in this house now. Fox scares me, but it’s the twins I fear the most. I’ve heard conversations I’d rather have not overheard, and the stories they were retelling were sick. I’m not going to stay here waiting. I’m going to sneak and listen. I need to find out what’s going on and that means watching what they’re doing. Maybe I can break into Dominic’s office. I may find something on his computer. He thinks I’m stupid, but before I married him, I was quite the little computer hack for my father. I’ve never told him this and I’m glad I kept it from him as no doubt he would have me doing awful stuff for him.

I sneak down the corridor and hide around the corner from Dominic’s office. There’s a little alcove I can hide in until I hear them leave.

I’m excited to be doing something he forbids. The boredom here is getting to me.

  Dominic

I’m catching up on phone calls and looking through the pictures Fox took again, making sure I have everything covered. I don’t want to fuck this up.

“Fox, anything I need to know? Any movement?” I ask, not really wanting an answer. I need to know if this fucker is going to sneak up on us, or if he has allies I don’t know about in the UK.

“As far as I can tell he’s not left the country yet and he’s making calls and sending out men searching. He hasn’t even worked out his phone was cloned yet, boss.” He seems happy with that. He’s got a smirk on his face as though he’s the cat that got the cream.

“Okay, twins, I’m going to need you to work on the young girl. I think her name’s Carly. Do whatever it is that you want to her. I have no need for her, so have fun and enjoy. I want Lily to witness everything you’re doing to her. Make that bitch see what she’s got coming to her!”

The twins seem happy with that order. “Do we get to do Crooks’ woman as well? We can always video it and send it to his phone.”

I haven’t decided what to do with Crooks’ woman yet. I have Charles, my private investigator, looking closer into her background. I even sent them a blood sample in case they can track her background through that. There is something niggling at me about her and I don’t have a clue what it is.

I hate when I get these feelings. They usually mean I was right to investigate. We just need to wait and see. I was hoping to have heard back from Charles by now, but nothing. “Go. I will be down in a bit to see the progress you’ve made with her,” I say dismissing them all.

  Stevie

The Twins and Fox leave the office and I follow them down the stairs as quietly as I can. I’m barefoot, so hopefully they can’t hear me. The stone staircase and floors rattle with the echo of their heavy boots stomping down on them. They get to the end cellar which is always locked, so I have no idea what’s inside, but do I want to know? That’s what I’m unsure of. They leave the door slightly ajar, so I can peer inside. Instantly, my blood runs cold at the sight. I hate what I see. There are two women shackled up in my cellar.

“Well, hello there, ladies!” the twins say in unison. Their menacing voice sends shivers down my spine, and not in a good way. They scare the shit out of me. They move forwards, taking one each, and move them so that they’re facing each other, just a couple of feet separating them. The younger girl is shaking and sobbing, and all I want to do is go save her. I don't think I even want to know what they’re going to do to them.

“Well, Lily,” they say, looking at the small blonde one, “I hope you like watching as you’re in for a treat. Have you ever seen twins fuck someone together?“

The one called Lily closes her eyes. “Oh, no,” she whispers.

“The boss wants you to watch every second of this, so do me a favour and keep those eyes open, otherwise I’m going to have to cut off those lovely eyelids of yours,” Fox tells her. There’s so much hate in his voice as he flicks open his knife and holds it up to her face. He’s showing her he means business, and I watch as Lilly trembles beneath the blade.

I have to do something to help them, and maybe I can escape like I’ve wanted to for the last few years. I don't kid myself. I know he doesn't love me, probably never has. He just used me to get all the power and title that came with marrying me. Well, he can keep it. I want out. I want to live a normal life and have someone who loves me for me. I want us to have children together and we can love them together I don’t want this horrible, bleak existence.

I sneak quickly and quietly back up the stairs. I hear Dominic talking to Maria and I don't really care what they’re saying so I don't even listen. While he’s out of his office, I’m going to see what I can find out. The office is locked like I thought it would be, so I try the keys, and the fifth one I try opens the door.

  Now to hack the computer.

I’ve been here for about half an hour and I’ve got in. I don't like the email I’m reading now. If what it says is true then I need to save that woman, Lily, even more now. I can’t believe he would do this, especially now with this information. He’s sick in the head. After covering up everything I've just done, I lock the door and go to his room. I search through his cupboard, finding what I need to help me get us all out of here. I don’t even want any of my things. He can keep them.

  Chapter Seven

  Red

When the door opens, I don’t expect the three men that marched in. I expected the one in charge, Dominic. The twins waste no time in moving us both into a position a few feet apart, but facing each other. I don't like this feeling. Dominic’s words from earlier come flooding back to me. The uneasiness doesn’t get any better by the tall, skinny man looking at me like he would like to eat me.

I’m trembling at the thought, but a whimper has my head turning back in Carly’s direction. I finally get to look at the mousey brown long-haired girl with fear in her eyes. I’m scared as well, but try to act as if I’m not. I can’t let them see it. I need to be brave for the both of us, in the hopes that Joshua is on his way. I keep praying. I know he will be on his way.

The twins start undressing Carly; she’s screaming as they do it. I have a feeling no man has seen her naked. She’s skinny, really skinny. I can see all her bones sticking through her skin. This girl has lived on the streets for a while and is malnourished.

“You watch, Lilly. Make sure you’re watching us!” the twins demand, and my stomach turns in disgust.

They start to touch her, much to Carly’s discomfort. They pull her down onto her knees and then one of them opens his trousers and sticks his skinny, long dick in her mouth. I can see her gagging as he thrusts in and out, going deeper every time, and the sick thing, is his twin and the tall skinny one look like they’re getting off on it as well.

“Such a sweet little mouth. You wanna go, bro?” one says with joy. I feel as though I’m going to throw up at any minute.

“Oh, yeah, bro. I need to feel that mouth on my cock.” He’s already ramming it into her mouth with such force that I’m scared he’s going to break her jaw. I don’t want to watch it anymore and try to close my eyes, but I’m instantly reminded.

“Keep those pretties open and enjoy the show, and maybe it’ll be your turn soon. I so hope I get a turn with you first,” the tall guy says, and the thought makes heave, the vomit spewing within seconds. They all start laughing and joking about me being sick

“Just don’t do that when my dick is in your mouth, bitch,” the skinny one says and kicks me in the ribs. I flinch in pain as the wind is taken from me.

Shit. I need to not upset them if I want to make it out. I know it’s going to get worse, a lot worse, and I don’t want to watch, but they’re going t
o make me no matter what. Poor Carly looks like she won’t be able to take much more. Her body isn’t looking good, in fact, she hasn’t sounded good for the last few hours.

“Hang in there, Carly. We will get out of here!” I shout, which earns me a punch to my ribs. Once again, I’m winded and struggling to catch my breath.

“Stop thinking about escaping, bitch, ‘cause it’s not going to happen.” When I look back up, twin one is thrusting into Carly while twin two is getting ready to enter her as well. They’re going to fuck her at the same time.

Carly is screaming and I can see blood trickling down her legs.

“Bastards! Leave her alone. You’re hurting her!” That only results in more laughter.

“We know. That’s the idea. We will fuck her until she’s dead.” The wild screaming laughter fills the air, mixing with Carly’s screams and my sobs. I don't think I’ll ever forget it.

The screams start to die down as their passion takes over. With each stroke, I know I’m losing this young girl. I have a feeling they over drugged her when they grabbed her, and again now, as she’s really quiet. She’s slowly slipping away, and all the while they still fuck her. Her body is dropping which seems to spur them on even more.

  Why are people so sick?

I’m starting to feel even worse than I did before. I hear footsteps, and I know it’s going to be the boss man checking on what his sick fuckers are up to, and to see if they’re following orders.

I realise I’m sobbing and I can't control it anymore. I give into it and don't care about the front.

All I can think is please save me as I watch the poor girl slip away before my eyes.

  Joshua

I can't believe we are holed up outside, any place that can hide us. We already came across two groundsmen who held up their arms and told us they want no part of what Pascale does. All they want is their mother, Maria, to be unharmed if any shooting kicks off.

They can rest assured there will be shooting. But I am going to kill that fucker when I find him. I have men snooping out the place Maria’s sons have told us is the best entry point. A quick secret tunnel into the cellar where they suspect the women are being held.

I just hope we aren’t too late to save them.

We quickly make our way up to the entrance hidden in the hill and find it already open for us, so fingers crossed it isn't a trap. We make our way down the dark tunnel.

Hold on, Red. I’m coming for you.

I can hear gunfire so I take off in a sprint towards it, not caring for my life as long as Red is okay.

  Please be okay, Red.

  Chapter Eight

  Dominic

I eventually get finished talking to Maria about what I want her to do, but we got side-tracked, like always, catching up on life. Maria is like the mother I never had. She’s an amazing woman who I would trust with my life. She knows the dark parts of me and what I am capable of. She seems to think I should have a softer side with Stevie. Maybe one day. Right now, though, I have to sort out what’s happening in my cellar.

Taking the stairs two at a time, I rush to the sounds I hear coming from the open door. I know those fuckers are enjoying themselves far too much. That reminds me, I was going to check my emails. I totally forgot to check in with Charles. I have this feeling to go. I’ll pop up and check after checking in here. I want to know what they’ve been up to.

As I walk into the room, I can see the young woman is near death. I suspect they gave her more drugs, something that I didn’t okay, but maybe that’s a good thing that she wasn’t totally with it.

Lily is sobbing and looking like she’s been smacked a few times. I suspect Fox has given a few punches.

“Well, it looks like you two have been enjoying yourselves and you getting punchy, Fox.” This earns me a grin.

“She got gobby, so I dealt with it in my own special way, boss.” He says with way to much pleasure, and I can see him eyeing up Lily like he can't wait to feast on her.

The twins are still pounding into Carly, and I know they’re going to keep going until they’ve finished. So, the rumours are true as to what they’re into it. The sick fucks.

I bend down and speak in Lily’s ear. “Now you see what you’ve got to look forward too. Fox here might get to go first.”

This seems to rile her up again after being so quiet. “In your dreams, asshole!“

She’s still got some energy left to fight us. That won’t last long when the boys break her.

I hear the twins screaming at the same time; fuckers literally do everything together.

They let go of the poor girl. She’s got everything leaking from her; I think they may have ripped her insides. I walk over to her lifeless body and feel for a pulse. I get nothing. They have fucked her to death.

“She’s dead,” I say softly. The twins pull up their trousers and high five each other.

“Fuck, yes! Another notch on our post!” They are actually celebrating the fact she’s dead and they made it happen. I don't know how I feel about this. I’ve never seen them at their worst and feel sick.

Lily is screaming obscenities at us all and throwing up at the same time. Fox goes to punch her again and I stop him.

“I think she’s seen enough for one day.” I say it and I mean it. The woman looks broken, and for the first time, I feel sorry for someone. I can't believe it of myself.

Just as I’m about to tell them to stop for the night, Stevie appears in the doorway holding a gun. Normally I wouldn’t be scared of this, but I know she can handle a gun; her dad taught her when she was younger and I know she’s a good shot.

“Look, babe, it's not what you think,” I say, and I have a tremor to my voice as she’s got it pointed straight at me.

  Stevie

“It's not what it looks like? It’s exactly what it looks like!” I scream at him. The bastards have fucked this poor girl to death. “By the looks of it, now it Lily’s turn.”

  Oh, that got their attention

“Yeah, I know who she is and you were going to do her next!" I’m so angry at him, at them all.

This is it. I’m going to rid the world of these arseholes. I’m going take them all out.

The tears are pouring down my face. I need to gain back control so these wankers can have power over me.

“What do you mean you know who she is? She's a rival’s girlfriend and we are going to teach a lesson to them both.” He says it as if they’re all worthless.

“You mean like this one? An innocent girl?” I know my voice is starting to wobble. “Lily is your sister!” I pull the trigger as I shout at him. Luckily for him, I only hit his shoulder, so I pull again, hitting his leg.

What’s wrong with my aim? I’m usually good.

All too soon the room is turned into a manic shooting ground. I don’t understand what’s happened, all I hear is Dominic screaming, “Stevie, hit the ground!”

I dive forward and pull Lily with me. The noise is deafening around us. It isn't until it’s quiet that I look up to see four strange men in the room, and I couldn't be more thankful to see them. I don't care who they are. Glancing around, I see the twins are dead, and Fox looks like he won't last much longer.

“Red!” the tall, wide man yells.

  Beneath me, Lily squirms.

“Sorry. I didn't want you to get shot,” I say.

She wipes her tears and grabs my hand. “Thank you. You don’t know how much it means.” The next thing I know the man is on his knees, hugging the shit out of her. I’m happy to see she’s loved.

I look over to Dominic and stalk towards him. “Why couldn’t you just die?” I scream into his shocked face. “She’s your sister and you were going to hurt her!”

How dare he look so sad and disheartened?

“What do you mean, Stevie?” He actually looks like he’s going to be sick.

“Lily is your sister. I read your email.”

  As if he doesn't know.

  He’s starting to
talk like I’ve never heard him before. “I didn't get a chance to read them yet. I’m so sorry. I got someone to check out who you were with a blood sample. I honestly didn’t know or understand how.”

He looks ill, maybe because he's bleeding from two bullet wounds that I hope hurt.

I look towards Lily and the man to see he’s injured too. “Let me get someone to help you.” He looks like he might kill me. “Look, it's nothing to do with me. I tried to save her.”

“Is it true he's my brother?” Lily asks, clearly in pain.

“Yes. From the email I hacked, it's true. We can look after I get you all help.” I turn to Dominic. “Except for you. You can die.” And I mean it as I look him in the eye. “Ask Maria. She can help. It’s what she does.”

He holds up his hands. “I’ll go last if that makes you feel better?”

Wow, he does have a heart. Not a very big one, but maybe a glimpse of it. I can see him and Lily looking at each other in disbelief and my heart goes out to her. What a way to find out.

“Let’s get you all some help.” I rush from the room, up the stairs to the kitchen where I know Maria will be, so I’m surprised to find her sons with her, armed.

“Put down the weapons, boys, please. We need no more bloodshed. I beg you both." I look at them both with an arm each around their mother.

“It’s of no worry, Stevie. They were here to make sure I didn't get hurt after they heard the gunfire. Boys, weapons down.” The boys put down their weapons as I turn to Maria and tell her about the injuries downstairs. She and the boys waste no time grabbing medical supplies which make me suspect this has happened before.

I want to escape, but I want to make sure everyone who’s injured is okay. I couldn't live with myself if they’re not.
