“Fuck you up against these windows.” I bury my face in her neck, sucking on the skin as I walk us across the room. Once we’re there, I stop, nipping slightly. “The question is, Malone. How do you want it?”

Her eyes are fuzzy, her brain obviously not connecting with what I’m asking her. She shakes her head, wrapping her arms tighter around my neck. “What do you mean, I’m not following.”

Sometimes when she’s innocent, it turns me on even more, and this right here? Her not sure of what I’m asking fucking turns me on. “My question-” I trail my lips down her neck, onto her chest, “-is, do you want it with me between your thighs, against the windows?” She gasps as I take a hard nipple into my mouth, swirling my tongue over the cloth-covered nub. “Or, do you want it from behind? Me pounding into you as you look out over the city? As the lights come on, and the sun goes down? Bare and exposed for anyone to see, although we both know they can’t.” I growl as I think about that option. She obviously likes it to as her nipple responds, getting hard as stone under my ministrations.

“From behind.” She grabs my hair in between her fingers. “Looking out, so anyone could see, but they really can’t,” she moans pulling me tighter to her flesh.

“Your wish is my command, sweetness.”

I disentangle the two of us, letting her ass drop, taking her legs from around my waist. Separately the both of us work on our clothes, but I watch with appreciation as she turns around, pulling her hair to the side. “Can you unzip me?”

It’s a pleasure I haven’t ever had as I reveal portions of her smooth back to my hungry gaze. “You’re not wearing a goddamn bra?” I groan as I get to the part where they should be a strap, should be something else or me to remove from her body.

“No,” she giggles. “This dress has built in support.”

“Fuck me, had I known that…” I trail off, letting the lack of words speak for themselves. “Get the rest of it off now.”

My own fingers fumble as I disrobe, yanking my clothes down, not even unbuttoning my shirt all the way as I reach behind me and pull it up and over my head. I watch her shimmy out of her dress, pulling on the head of my cock as I do, moaning when she pushes her lace panties down, and bending over to take them off. “You’re a fuckin’ cock tease.”

“But you love it.” She grins over her shoulder. “Where do you want me, Savage?”

Fuck if those words don’t go straight down to my dick. Grabbing hold of her, I press her up against the glass, putting one hand on her back to bend her over, the other hand at her hip to steady her. Because I’m taller than her, I have to bend at the knees, but fuck it. I don’t even care. Reaching the hand at her hip around to her core, I flick her clit a few times before carefully pushing two fingers inside. “You ready, Mal?”

She nods. “Give me what you’ve got.”

And at those words, I grab my cock, holding it as I press inside her. She drops her head, leaning it against the glass as I shove in and withdraw, two, three times. The sounds were both making are worthy of our own pornographic film. As I press in, I’m grunting, she’s whining as I withdraw, and my balls are slapping against her flesh as I work against her.

“Feels so good.” She presses against the glass, pushing harder against me.

“Fuck yeah it does.” I can’t seem to stop shit from coming from my mouth as I pound into her, as I hear the sounds of our coupling. “Does it turn you on? Knowing that we’re doing this, looking out on the city?”

“Yes.” Her voice is guttural. “Someone on the street could look up and see us.”

They couldn’t - there’s absolutely no way, and I’ve paid a shit ton of money for that to be true, but if it plays into her fantasy then so be it.

“They’d be looking at you.” I move my hand from her shoulder, grasping the strands in my fist, pulling slightly. “At the way your tits bounce, that sexy as fuck look you get on your face as you’re about to come, and the way your stomach tightens when you’re about to go off. You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever met in my life.”

“Slade, don’t stop,” she pants, slapping her hands against the window, seeming to try to find purchase as I increase my thrusts into her. “Please don’t stop.”

“Never.” The word is a vow. I always want to make sure she wants me this much, always want to make sure we have this kind of relationship with each other. “

Holding her tighter, I slip my hand around to her core, working my finger against her as I work my cock in and out of her channel.

“Almost there, Slade.” She throws her head back against my shoulder, allowing me to have a free hand again. I reach around her, grabbing at her breast, holding her tightly to me as I press us both against the glass, using the solid wall to leverage my thrusts into her.

“You’re getting so tight around me, so tight.” I press deeper, harder, twisting her nipple the way she likes it, and that’s when I feel her let go.

“Oh yes.” She sighs before reaching back, fisting my hair in between her fingers.

My rhythm falters, and before I’m ready, I feel my release letting go, getting deep, and marking her as mine. Leaning heavily against the glass, I groan loudly in her ear. “Fuck me.” I flatten my palm against the wall, pressing so that I can drag her over to the couch. I don’t disengage as I lay down, pulling her over top of me. Her back to my front. My cock is still inside her, not wanting to break the connection.

“I’m sleepy.” She yawns, laughing as I feel her curling her arms around her stomach.

Forcing my eyes open, I exhale deeply. “Me too.” I run my hand up her body, cupping her jaw, turning her around so that my lips can take hers. “But I think before we go to sleep, we need to do a little cleanup.”

“Showers?” she questions as she finally disengages from my body, standing up from the couch.

“Nope.” I grin, pointing at the glass wall. “We need to clean that up before anyone comes over.”

She turns around to where I’m pointing, laughing loudly.

There, imprinted in the glass window, the oils of our sweat and body have been left. Anyone who gets a glance of it, will know exactly what we’ve been doing.

“I kinda wish we could keep it for a souvenir.” She winks as she walks to the hallway closet where Susie keeps her cleaning stuff.

“Me too, sweetness, but at least we’ll always have this memory.”

And sometimes memories, are the things that keep us going when times get tough.

  Fourth of July

“I don’t think you’ve ever taken a shower that fast.” Malone tucks herself next to my body as we make our way back out onto the field.

“What can I say? The Bandits put on an amazing fireworks show. It’s my favorite when we’re in town.” I put my arm around her, holding her close, thankful that she’s here with me for the night. “And I’m really excited to share it with you.”

She beams up at me, her eyes shining brightly. “I’m excited to see them myself. Other than last year, I haven’t gotten to watch a fireworks show since I left home.”

JD and Felicity catch up to us as we hurry up the hallway, heading back for the field. “This was my favorite thing last year,” Felicity tells her, looking just as excited as we are.

Taking my arm from around her, so that we have more room to walk in the hallway as everyone is making their way either to the showers, or back to the field, I grasp her fingers in mine as I walk in front of her. She and Felicity are talking as we walk. For just a moment, I reflect on what my life is now, and find myself so supremely happy with the way things have turned out. My heart is so full in my chest, I’m damn sure it could burst if given the chance.

As we step out on the field, she turns in a circle. All the seats are still filled, with all the ticketholders from the game. “You play with all these people watching?”

“Well, yeah,” I laugh. It’s second-nature to me. When people ask me about it, it always ta
kes me by surprise. “I actually like when there’s more people here rather when there isn’t. Helps me play better.”

“You have such a damn ego.” She grabs hold of my side, leaning up to kiss me on the neck.

It’s weird; now I’m cognizant of the fact there’s probably people taking our picture. Before, on my own, I hadn’t been. It almost makes me want to hide her from the world at large, I never want anyone to hurt her, but at the same time, she’s such a great person I don’t want to keep her to myself. That wouldn’t be right of me, and I’m not that selfish.

“Hey Harlow’s, smile.” Felicity holds a phone in front of us.

It strikes me that I’m not sure we’ve had anyone truly take pictures of us like this since our wedding. I’m not even sure we’ve taken pictures with each other. I wrap my arms around her, smiling widely as I hold her in my arms.

“That’s a good one!” Felicity smiles as she presses a few buttons on her phone. “Tonight I’ll be the popular one, uploading a pic of Mr. and Mrs. Savage,” she teases.

Both our phones go off, telling us we’ve been tagged in a picture, and as I look at it, I can’t help but notice just how happy we are.

“Is this good?” I ask her as we have a seat on the field, not far from where Jax is sitting with a friend of his and JD sits with Felicity. Families and couples are grouped together. The bat boys are handing out Gatorade and bottles of water to everyone. I have a bottle of each, trying to keep my hydration up after playing on such a humid night.

“Yeah” She has a seat next to me, looking around. “Is this what it feels like when you’re out here playing? All these eyes on you? It’s kind of disconcerting.”

“You know what’s weird?” I throw my arm around her neck, tucking her more closely into me. Doesn’t matter that the night is a little muggy, I always want her next to me.

  “What?”

“I do better when a stadium is full. I think it’s the expectation everyone has for me to well. I hate to disappoint anyone. Since I was in high school, I’ve excelled under the pressure. I want people looking at me; I want people to count on me to come through in the clutch.” I dig my fingers into the nape of her neck, thrusting them up into her hair.

A lazy smile spreads across her face. “I love when you stroke my skull like that,” she all but purrs, and I have to remind myself we are in front of all the eyes I just mentioned. “And you do always come in through in the clutch.” She kisses me on the cheek.

“I try.” I move my hand down to hold hers.

“You do more than try, Slade, you do everything for everyone, and you never ask for anything in return. I wish I could be half the person you are.”

An unexpected wave of emotion hits me at what she says. Hardly anyone has ever spoken to me like this, and I’m not sure I can put into words how much it affects me. Pulling her to me, I kiss her on the forehead. “I’ll always be everything you need me to be, sweetness.”

She wraps her arms around my waist, hugging me tightly. “I know that without a doubt, babe, without any hint of a doubt. Holy hell,” she laughs as she lifts up, reaching under her to grab her cell out of her back pocket. “This thing is vibrating so much, I feel like I’m sitting on a vibrator.”

Immediately my thoughts turn less than pure. “That visual…” I shake my head, giving her a smirk.

“Maybe one day, Slade.” She wrinkles her nose as she flips the phone over and slides along the bottom to activate the screen. “Holy shit, people are taking so many pictures of us.” She turns the phone around so I can see everything she’s been tagged in.

People have been documenting us since we walked out onto the field, and while to some it may feel like an invasion of privacy, I kind of like to see what she and I look like from other people’s perspectives. There are a couple of pictures I like, they show us looking at each other, smiling, and there’s no doubt that we only have eyes for one another. A picture catches my attention, of us leaning into kiss one another.

Grabbing my own phone, I go to the pictures she’s been tagged in and start liking them from my own account. There are shouts from the stands where people thank me for liking their photos. I give them a thumbs up and a smile.

This right here, my team, my stadium, my wife at my side – it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.

  Malone

Sitting on the field with the stands full of people, I feel like I’m seeing things through Slade’s eyes, like I’ve never seen them before. I feel horribly exposed, sitting here, while everyone looks at us as if we’re on display at the circus. At the same time, it makes me proud to be there on his arm, for people to see us together, and to be able to enjoy something with him that he enjoys so much.

“What’s it like being all the way out there?” I ask him, pointing to center field, where he usually plays.

“Quiet, really fuckin’ quiet, unless there’s a heckler in the stands. If there’s a heckler, you have to do your best to just ignore them. The worst thing though, is not letting my mind wander. There’s a lot of time just standing there, waiting on a play to happen.” His fingers play with my wedding ring on my finger. I love the way he does this. Most of the time I’m sure he doesn’t realize he’s doing it, but when we sit together and he’s holding my hand, he’s always playing with it.

“Have you ever let a play go by you?” I ask as I scoot over to rest my back against his chest.

He goes to lean in, but the bill of his hat is in the way. Tilting my head back, I watch as he takes the hat off, turns it so that bill is to the back, and then puts it on his head, covering his almost too-long hair. Just like that, I’m taken back to when we were teenagers and how he always wore his hat like that, even out on the field. It had always given him this bad boy edge, and I loved it. Right now, seeing him do it again, literally makes my body hum.

“Yeah.” He speaks closely to my ear. “I have missed a couple here and there. They’ve always called me on it, though.” He chuckles, and I have to touch him, running my hands along his calf muscles. “The fans, Coach, my teammates - they don’t let me forget shit.”

“Well, now you have a wife who’s never going to let you forget it if you mess up.” I turn into his kiss.

The lights dim in the stadium, and I feel my stomach drop with excitement as the place vibrates with the same excitement I’m experiencing.

“Get ready for an amazing show.” Slade’s deep voice is comforting in my ear.

As different colors blanket the sky and every patriotic anthem is played over the loudspeaker, I can’t take my eyes off the display that’s being put on for us. The oohing and ahhing makes me laugh and smile, especially when some of the players’ kids get so excited they start jumping up and down. I watch them, feeling a twinge I hadn’t expected to feel so soon.

“One day that’ll be us, sweetness.” Slade knows what I’m looking at, knows what I’m feeling, just like he always does. If there’s one thing I never have to worry about with him, it’s that he usually knows what I’m thinking before I can give voice to it.

“It will be,” I agree. Now that I’m feeling more comfortable in our life together and know what’s expected of me, I’m willing to try new things.

He kisses me on the head as I glance back up at the sky for the grand finale. There, on a hot Birmingham night wrapped in his arms, I realize I’m the happiest I’ve been in a very long time.

“I love when you wear that shirt.” Slade gives me a heated grin as he leans in to kiss me on the cheek, holding my hip tightly with his hand.

Felicity and I have just arrived at the family lot of the stadium and were surprised that the guys were out there too, talking to their friends from other teams. The best thing about being an all-star is they get to have fun with people they don’t normally get to see. Introductions have been made, but I know I’ll never remember all these other player’s names.

The shirt he’s referencing is the one with his pictur
e on the front and Savage on the back. He becomes all kinds of territorial when I show up with it on. Truth be told, I wear it just to get a rise out of him, in more ways than one.

“I know you do, it’s your good luck charm for tonight.”

He wraps his arms around me like he hasn’t seen me in days when it’s really only been a few hours. “That’s where you’re wrong; you’re my good luck charm.”

“Me and Kels,” I remind him, giving him a kiss on the cheek “Ruby texted me a few minutes ago. They’ve parked, and they’re walking toward the lot now. They should be here soon.”

“Then I’ll wait out here a little longer.” He leans against my SUV, putting his arm around my neck. “I wanted to say hey to Caleb anyway.”

I love the way it always seems he has to be touching me, even if we’re just waiting for friends. There’s not many times when we’re sitting next to one another, standing with each other, or laying down together that he’s not at least touching me with some part of his body.

Since we attended their wedding late last year, we’ve been able to get together with them a few times, and it’s obvious that Caleb’s little sister has a huge crush on Slade. It’s cute, and I totally get why she’s crushing on my husband. I even kind of encourage it sometimes, because I know it’s innocent and for me it’s fun to watch both of them get flustered.

“How many homers you gonna hit me?” I grab hold of the side of his shirt, teasing him slightly.

“Enough to win.” He leans in, speaking softly. “Maybe enough for a couple of blow jobs and lap dances.” He winks before reaching over, hitting Jax in the stomach. “And to beat this loser.”

“You wish, asshole. Malone will be cheering for me when this is all over.”

Slade tightens his arm around me, flipping a middle finger at Jax. “The fuck she will.”

“You’re a closer,” I remind him. “How the hell are you in the Home Run Derby?”
