Heaven's Watcher

Darius placed two dishes of pasta in front of her and sat down beside her at the island. He grated parmesan cheese over her plate. “Say when.”

Watching his nimble fingers work the cheese over the grater made her groan inwardly as she remembered the most amazing things those talented hands did to her. She wanted them tantalizing her again. “When.”

He grated some cheese onto his own dish. “I always say a grace. Do you mind?”

  “No.” She bowed her head.

She hoped he’d say grace out loud so she’d recognize when it was over. She’d never been very good at church, not realizing when to stand, to sit, to pray. She’d given up religion at an early age.

Silently, he prayed, and she watched him through her lowered lashes so he wouldn’t notice. When he lifted his head, she followed. “Thanks for dinner.”

“You’re welcome. I usually eat alone. It’s nice to have company.”

“I find it hard to believe you eat alone. Bet you could have a different lady every night.”

Darius chuckled. “I’m not that kind of guy.”

“You picked me out from a crowded room.” She stabbed a rotini and stuffed it in her mouth so she would stop sounding stupid.

He lifted his glass and stared over the rim at her. “You are very special.”

  Chapter Seven

Darius watched Heaven’s shoulders tense as she stirred the pasta in the bowl. Her wall had gone back up again.

She placed the fork on the plate and looked at him. “Don’t try to play me again.”

  “I’m not.”

She glanced away and picked up her glass. “I came here for the information I need so I can find my brother—nothing more. So, this”—she waved her hand, indicating the meal before her—“and you saying I’m special won’t cut it.”

He leaned back in his chair. “It’s a shame you don’t realize how very special you are. I hope you believe me when I say that.”

  “Cut the crap.”

He leaned forward. He had to win her trust. Taking her hand in his, he said, “The truth isn’t crap. You are an amazing woman. Any man would be lucky to be able to say you’re his.”

Her hand trembled so that she had to tighten her grip on the stem of her glass. “This is too much.”

He raised her other palm to his lips and kissed her warm skin.

The glass slipped, spilling wine down the front of her blouse. “Damn.” She dabbed at the red liquid with her napkin.

Pushing back his chair, Darius hurried toward the sink. He wet a kitchen towel and walked over to her. “The wine will stain.” He pressed the damp cloth against her fabric. “This isn’t going to lift the stain. You’ll have to take off your blouse. I’ll get it into water right away.”

For a second, she just stared at him. “What did you just say?”

“We should get your top into cold water before the wine stain sets. Take off your blouse.” When he heard the words he’d just spoken, heat rose up his throat and across his cheeks.

“I’m not going to stand here half naked.”

He wanted her standing before him in her naked glory, but he tugged the T-shirt over his head and offered it to her. “Here.”

Darius faced the sink to give her the privacy she needed to change. The idea of her standing in his kitchen with only a bra on made his cock stir.

The soaked blouse splattered on the counter. “Here.”

As he turned to retrieve the garment, he caught a brief glimpse of her. The sight of her stiff nipples poking through the soft cotton grabbed him by the balls. He wanted to run his thumb over those taunt peaks as her fingernails raked his back.

Grabbing her crumpled garment, he said, “Thanks.”

Her heat still lingered on the soft fabric. The scent of hot woman and spices filled his senses. He wanted this woman—needed her. She meant everything to him. But for her own good, he forced his cool-hearted façade back into place as a shield.

After plunking the stained fabric into a basin of cold water, Darius took deep breathes as he took another goblet from the cupboard and filled it with wine.

When he held it out for her, she hesitated and looked up at him with wide, pleading eyes. “I really need to find Andy.”

He set the glass down on the table in front of her. “I’m still waiting for information.” Raising his own glass, he swirled it to distract himself. “We might just as well finish eating while we’re waiting.”

“You’ll share everything you learn with me?”

He couldn’t. How would he ever explain who he was? How could she ever love him? He’d do everything in his power to protect Heaven, and her brother, but he wouldn’t share his life with her. “Yes. From now on, we’re a team.”

Heaven pinned him with a suspicious look. “You threw me out of your office before. What made you change your mind?”

“I had you escorted out of the office for your own good.” He sighed. “You shouldn’t be in the casino while you’re trying to take down the boss. It’s too dangerous. You know I’m right.”

She snatched the glass from the table and took a deep swig, as if needing the wine to fortify herself. “How else am I going to get the information to take him down?”

  “For starters, trust me.”

“Not going to happen.” She glanced at the table for a moment, as if struggling to come to some decision. Then she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. “If I did trust you again, then what?”

“We go back to your plan A. We find your brother, make sure he’s safe, and let him testify.” Darius sipped the wine as he waited for her to reply.

Did she trust him? He needed her to, although the way she watched him, he wasn’t sure she ever would.

“You make it sound so easy.”

“It won’t be easy, but it will work.” He set his glass on the table as he watched her process his words. “I promised to keep both you and Andy safe.”

  “What about the boss?”

“I work for someone higher up than him, so as far as I’m concerned, he’s on his own.”

  Her lips tightened.

He held up a hand to forestall the argument he saw coming. “When we get the information, we’ll find your brother together. Till then, we might just as well eat.”

Heaven set down her wine. “So, you’re on my side?”

“I’m always on the side of good. You’re good. I think your brother is good, too. That makes three of us working together against evil.”

“You believe the boss is evil?”

It was a truth he could share with her. “Yes.”

  “You work for him.”

“No, I work for…” He couldn’t tell her the whole truth, even though he needed to win her trust. “Good.”

  “Good?”

“Yes. I’m a good guy.” His forehead furrowed. “You know in your heart it’s true.”

She cocked her head to the side and pursed her lips. After a moment, she nodded. “So, we wait?”

“Yes.” Relief thumped in his head. Finally, he’d won her trust. “Then I’ll tell you everything.”

She glanced at him and smiled. “While we wait, what’s your opinion on whether this is good or not?” She stood and yanked his shirt over her head.

Darius had wanted to get Heaven naked and under him since she appeared at his doorstep. He was sure after their meal, she’d try to interrogate him and leave. But now she teased him by standing in front of him in a sheer bra. “This is not what I expected.”

“Maybe I’ve decided to trust you.” She smiled, and his dick bobbed. He was under her spell.

“Besides, if you can be shirtless, so can I.”

He grinned as she arched her back, thrusting her tits toward him. “Nice. Very nice.”

Taking his hand, she pressed it to one tit. Her green eyes darkened with lust.

“You’re killing me here.” He squeezed her flesh and grazed her nipple with his thumb.

Her breath caught. A slow smile cre
pt across her lips as delight shone in her eyes.

Then she ran her finger along his neck and chest. His heart began to pound with anticipation.

He traced the top of her bra with his fingertips. “Beautiful.”

When his fingers skimmed her skin, he watched as waves of anticipation crashed through her.

“You are the most beautiful creature I’ve ever met.” He reached around her, unhooked her bra, and slowly pulled it off her shoulders and down her arms.

She arched her back, sticking out her tits.

“You are perfect.” He clasped her nipple with his hot, hungry mouth and sucked hard.

Her whole body jerked. She cradled his head against her chest and dropped her head back, her long red mane cascading behind her.

She combed her fingers through his hair, jabbing her fingernails into his scalp. When he nipped her, she ploughed her fingers deeper. He shivered. Never had a woman driven him to the edge of spewing his seed by responding to his touch with such a craving for more. Then she cupped his cheek and kissed his forehead. The innocent act caused all the blood from his brain to head for his dick.

She pulled away, caught his fingers, and led him toward the living room. She pointed toward the couch and grinned.

He sat down as she wandered to the window. With the lights of the strip twinkling behind her, she danced like the girls on stage at the casino’s nudie show. She moved her hips to the soft jazz filling the room. Running her fingers down her thighs, she opened her legs and leisurely squatted.

Darius wanted her tight-fitting pants off so he could see her pussy. His dick throbbed. His heart pounded in his chest.

Slowly, she rose and bent over as she shimmied. He licked his lips at the sight of her swaying breasts.

When she wiggled, she traced her fingertips across her stomach and up until she cupped her breasts. She pushed them together. “The way your thick cock fucked my tits, faster and faster until you exploded, thrilled me.”

A moan escaped her lips as her head dropped back.

He sprang from the sofa, but she shook a finger toward him. “Oh, no you don’t.”

She crossed the room and pushed on his chest. He chuckled as he pretended to fall on the couch.

Turning, she bent her legs and shimmied her ass in his face.

When he tried to grab her butt cheek, she stepped away and wagged her finger at him again. “No touching.” She undid her jeans. “You’re a watcher, remember.”

  He wished he didn’t.

She wiggled out of her pants. A hint of her pussy peeked through her lacy panties.

  His cock nudged his sweats.

Heaven glanced at his bulge as she stepped out of her jeans. She bent over, picked them up, and swung them over her head as she danced around in a circle. Then she flung them on the couch beside him.

Darius crooked his finger at her to come to him.

She danced over to him and lightly stroked his face with her tits.

Before he could latch on, she grabbed his shoulders, leaned in, and kissed him. He opened to her. Her tongue danced along his teeth and entwined with his.

He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against him. Her breasts pillowed against his chest. Her hot skin seared him, as if branding him as hers. At the idea of belonging to this woman, his heart soared. Now he understood his ancestors falling in love with humans.

She glanced at his fully erect cock and smiled. “I want to ride you.”

Darius pushed off the couch, taking her with him. He steadied her on her feet, hooked a finger around the elastic of her panties, and slipped the flimsy fabric down her long legs and over her boots.

Naked in front of him, she was a goddess of femininity in all her glory.

Grabbing his sweatpants at the waistband, she tugged them down to his thighs. She wrapped her fingers around his bulging cock and pumped through the material of his underwear.

Gasping in much-needed breathes, he couldn’t wait any longer. He slipped his boxer briefs off, his thick dick reaching out to her.

“Sit.” She crossed the room, grabbed her purse, and pulled out a foil package.

When she opened it with her teeth, Darius laughed as he sat on the couch. He was man enough to give a woman what she wanted, and she wanted to fuck him.

She gripped his shoulders and placed a thigh to either side of him. He sucked one of her nipples deep into his mouth and bit down on her breast. She gasped as she clasped his head to her chest.

He drew her deeper into his mouth as he twisted her other nipple between his finger and his thumb.

“Darius.” Her raspy voice filled with need. Quickly, she slipped the condom on his throbbing cock.

He slid his shaft back and forth between her folds, using her juices for lubrication. Her hot liquid engulfed his head and mingled with his pre-cum at his slit.

Adjusting her stance, she slowly took his dick into her slick sex. “I love the way you fill me.”

Inch by inch, her channel stretched around him. His balls tightened. He could spew into her hotness right now, but he wanted her to ride him forever. Heaven. Her muscles gripped him tight then tighter.

He cupped her breasts and thumbed her nipples as she quickened her pace. Then he caught her nipple with his lips. When he sucked hard, her pussy squeezed his cock, and she rode him harder and harder.

  Darius bucked up into her.

  “Oh, God. Oh, oh.”

He slipped a finger between her slick pussy lips. Her hard little clit peeked from its hood. He thumbed it slowly at first, then harder, rougher.

She shuddered as she threw her head back. “Darius.” She convulsed around him time and time again.

He pistoned into her until he couldn’t wait any longer. His balls pulled up and ribbons of cum shot through his shaft and into the condom. With each pulse of hot fluid, a wave of exquisite pleasure rolled over his body.

She panted as she rested her head against his neck. He wrapped his arms around her, holding on to her for dear life. Whatever his fate, this heavenly bliss was worth the hell he’d surely pay.

After Heaven’s breathing recovered, she kissed his cheek and lifted off him. Pointing to the condom, she said, “Why don’t you get rid of that. I’ve got a sinful idea.”

Darius lurched off the couch and hurried into the bathroom. He was definitely up for more sin.

While Heaven waited for Darius, she walked toward the window, feeling naughty standing naked in front of the glass pane. The lights of Vegas twinkled against the dark desert landscape. The perfect backdrop for what she had in mind.

When he came back into the room, he twirled a silver pack. “Good.”

He walked over to her, kissed her shoulder, then trailed kisses up her neck and nipped at her ear.

Heaven wanted him inside her again. She grabbed his hand and held it to her breast. He molded her sensitive flesh and pinched her nipples. The hard tugs sent electrical pulses straight to her clit. She was wet and throbbing for him again.

“I want to watch you in the window.” She bent over, spread her legs, and braced herself against the window. “Fuck me.”

She heard the crumple of the package. When he caressed her ass, her skin burned with his heat.

His dick slid between her folds from behind and pressed into her. She adjusted her stance until the hard tip pushed against her clit. He slowly slid south and into her wet channel, pulled out, and thrust again harder.

Heaven shoved back as he continued to thrust deeper and deeper.

His face, reflected in the glass, tightened with each thrust. He panted as he gripped her ass. He plunged harder and harder, and with every drive, a new moan escaped her lips. The tension grew inside her. The head of his cock danced over her G-spot, once, twice, and waves of bliss rocked her from head to toe.

His face contorted as he continued to fuck her through her orgasm.

With one final thrust, he jetted warm semen into the condom. Her pussy clenched around his shaft as she shook with
her orgasm.

The twinkling lights of her city—their city—made a halo around his face. So beautiful.

His breathing was ragged as he leaned against her back, his face in her hair at the crook of her neck. His arms wrapped around her stomach and his fingers stroked her pussy. “You mean everything to me.”

His confession filled her heart. They were one, not just physically when they fucked, but also emotionally. Shit, she’d fallen in love with him.

  Chapter Eight

The next morning, Heaven woke up, stretched, and reached for Darius. The sheets were cold. Only a hint of his aroma filled the air. She lingered on the bed as she closed her eyes, remembering his hands on her skin, his dick thrusting inside her. Her nipples hardened as her pussy tightened.

The more Darius satisfied her, the more she craved him. Darius was more human than most of the guys she’d dated and none of them ever drove her to such bliss.

Throwing the covers off, she gathered her clothes and headed for the bathroom.

In the waterfall shower, she lathered her palms and rubbed them across her chest, down her stomach, and along her thighs, pretending it was him exploring every inch of her as he had done last night. She shuddered. She needed to find Darius.

After turning off the water, she quickly dried herself and dressed. She headed for the kitchen, hoping he’d be there.

A dish of fresh fruit was on the counter with an assortment of pastries. A handwritten note was propped in front of it. “Enjoy!”

Heaven sighed. She would relish eating more if he was with her.

She grabbed a plate, piled up some fruit, grabbed a coffee, and headed for the living room to watch Vegas wake up. Curling up on a chair by the window, she set her coffee on the table and munched on a strawberry.

A tall, dark man wearing jeans and a loose-fitting tee walked into the room. “Sorry.” He paused as he checked her out from her toes to her eyes. “I was looking for Darius.”

Heaven would bet he was a dancer in one of the boy-toy review shows. “He’s not here.”

The man stuck out his hand. “Hello, I’m Logan.”

She shook his hand. “I’m Heaven.”

The guy’s eyebrow rose. “Yes.” He sat down on the chair beside hers, facing the window, and stared at the view.
