Stupid brain.
“We should eat,” he said as he stood, looking everywhere but me.
“Right. Food. That’s what we need.”
Whipped cream on his dick sounded fantastic. Apparently, my brain hadn’t fully taken over yet.
TWELVE
Mica
“I think my tongue had an orgasm,” Bea said with a satisfied smile as she gazed up at the stars.
The sky held no interest to me tonight. I stared at Bea’s lips and wondered what they tasted like. Probably sweet like the cherry cheesecake she had for dessert.
“It looked amazing.”
She looked amazing.
Once we arrived at The Blue Spot a few hours ago, I was in awe of Bea. She knew exactly what to say and where to go, even though this was her first time here. Bea was in her element—an extravagant surrounding filled with wealthy people. The head of every department of this resort came to our room with gifts and baskets. They were all eager to meet Bea.
Normally, that would irritate me—so many strangers that I couldn’t relate to—but with Bea at my side, it didn’t seem so daunting. I felt accepted and not so out of place here.
Which was weird because I was the opposite of everything about The Blue Spot, even the décor.
The place looked sleek and modern. Long, smooth marble tables and streamlined leather and metal chairs. They looked uncomfortable until you sat in them, which was like melting into a cloud.
That was quality craftsmanship.
The walls were white with a pop of gold every so often. I wondered if some of the knickknacks in our room were real gold.
I was used to wood and brick and quilts. This was modern meets rustic. Even with all the sleekness, it worked in the mountain setting. I had no idea how, I wasn’t a designer, but it did.
And so did Bea.
As we took a stroll in the back gardens, I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. What happened back in our room was all I could think about.
Fuck, she was so soft. Her skin was silkier than that top she wore. How was that even possible? Maybe that stuff she put in my sister’s get-well basket really worked.
“Yours looked good, too. The chocolate cake.”
“Mmm.” I nodded.
It was amazing, but I bet it didn’t taste as wonderful as Bea. Now I had moved lower in my fantasy. It still involved kissing but much, much lower on her body. Lapping her up with my tongue until she screamed my name and tugged on my hair like she had earlier.
“It’s so beautiful out here. And the stars . . . There’re so many. It’s breathtaking.”
“Sure is breathtaking.”
The gardens were beautiful. Despite the early spring weather, there were already red and yellow tulips. Each flower bed was shaped like a large diamond to walk around. In the center was a stone fountain that looked like it belonged at Versailles. There was a stone wall with diamond-shaped openings to walk through. Further on were stairs that led to a grassy hill that sloped down. Even in the evening darkness, the place was lit enough to enjoy the view.
I may have sounded ridiculous, but I wanted Bea, and it seemed she wanted me, too. So, why had I stopped?
As much as I didn’t want to admit it, I knew exactly why I pulled away from our touch-fest. The deal.
Once it was done, whether she was able to pull it off or not, she would want nothing to do with me or my family ever again.
We’d go our separate ways. Her to Washington, DC, and me and Shelby back to Maine. Maybe I’d run into her again in a year when the contract was up—if I got the contract—but by then, she would be with some rich guy who fit into her world.
“You seem more relaxed. Good. I knew the food would help.” She reached for my hand and gave it a squeeze.
Her fingers were ice cold. I stopped and pulled her hands into mine, doing my best to warm them up.
“You cold?”
I’d happily take off my coat to warm her up.
“A bit but nothing . . . Hey, what are you doing?”
I pulled off my jacket and swung it around her shoulders.
“To keep you warm.”
“But what about you? You only have a shirt and dinner jacket on.”
She forced me to wear the jacket she bought in the gift shop. I never knew there were gift shops that had fancy dresses and dinner jackets in them. But I wasn’t a billionaire. I guess that was normal for them.
“I’m fine.”
“Why do men always say that?”
“Say what?”
“I’m fine when it’s obvious they are not.” She tilted her head, pursing her lips.
“Men? What about you? What about women? That same statement can be applied to women. On the ride here today, you kept telling me you were fine when it was obvious you were angry at me.”
“Because I wasn’t ready to talk about it. I needed to get my argument ready before I pounced.”
I immediately imagined her naked and tackling me.
“Is that why women say that? Because if you are unhappy with something, just let it out. I want to know.”
“Okay, I’m unhappy you didn’t fuck me up there.” She pointed to a random window on the third floor of the turn of the twentieth-century mansion. They told us once we got here that the dead oil baron, Guthry Hanson, built it in nineteen hundred as his family’s summer estate.
My eyes widened in surprise, and my cock saluted her.
“You wanted to what?”
She stepped forward, and as she dug her finger into my chest, sending chills down to my growing erection, Bea said, “I wanted that big cock of yours pounding into me.”
She slid her finger up until it had settled on my lower lip. “But first, I wanted your lips between my legs, eating me to oblivion.”
This woman had the ability to take all my rational thoughts and make them disappear. Poof, they were gone, flying north. Where I was sure to find them when I got home.
My mouth fell to hers. Her lips, full but soft, were better than any dessert. I wanted nothing more than to taste her all night.
My tongue darted out and she welcomed it with a squeak.
That sound was unexpected, cute, and sweet. I wondered what other sounds I’d discover when my lips explored her body.
I pulled her close in my arms. My coat fell from her shoulders. The air around us grew foggy with our breath from our kisses.
My hand moved lower until it had a firm grip on her ass. It was one of the first things I noticed about her that first day. I had been longing to sink my teeth into it ever since.
She whimpered as my fingers dug deeper. It awoke my cock when her soft lips pressed against mine. But how she was reacting to me was about to send me over the edge.
The kiss deepened, and these breathless moans bubbled up from her throat. I could get drunk from her sounds alone.
She shivered, and the cold reality knocked me back. We were outside for anyone to see. Bea was chilled to the bone. I stepped back, knowing we couldn’t stay out here.
“Ugh. Not again,” Bea said, her eyes dazed and her lips swollen. With frustration, she threw her arms in the air.
“Let’s go.” I grabbed her hand, ignoring my coat on the ground, and pulled her with me.
It took a few minutes, which felt like hours, but we were back in our room. I said nothing to Bea on the ride up in the elevator, and I could tell with each passing minute she grew more and more irritated at me.
And that only made my cock harder.
At this point, it could cut glass.
I shut the door and turned to Bea. Her arms were folded, ready to let me have it, but I had a surprise for her. I fell to my knees and pulled up her black pencil skirt. I grabbed her hips and pushed her until she was leaning against the wall.
She had these skimpy, pink silk panties with only a tiny silk triangle covering her small patch of dark hair. It was as sexy and adorable as Bea. Her lips parted with lust dripping down her leg.
“You wanted me to eat
you into oblivion. Had to make sure you were warm to make that happen.”
I didn’t wait for her response. My finger tugged the tiny underpants to the side so my tongue could lap up its first taste.
When she groaned, I let go. My fingers sunk into her slippery folds. She tasted sweet, like a spicy honey. I had spent last night very hard, imagining slipping my tongue over her clit. But as she dripped into my mouth and clenched onto my fingers, that fantasy was nothing compared to her perfect body.
“Oh, Mica,” she moaned.
I could barely hear her as my tongue swirled around her clit. She shivered again. At least this time I knew it wasn’t from the cold.
Grabbing her leg, I hooked it over my shoulder, causing her lips to spread for me. They were a bright pink and glistening. Prettier than any flower I had ever seen. I couldn’t stop licking and kissing her thighs, her soaking lips, her tight little bud.
And when I push a third finger inside her warm, soft pussy, her fingers tightened in my hair. I was taking my time because I loved how Bea tasted. If I had my way, I’d eat her for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
A thought popped in my head and I removed my fingers from her tightening pussy and slid it back until I was caressing her puckered hole.
She took a sharp breath, and her head fell back. Bea liked a little ass play. Good, because that was one of my favorite things to do to a woman.
I sucked on her clit as I slowly pushed the tip of my finger in and out of her ass.
“Uh, Mica. Yeah,” she whimpered.
Her hips began to swivel, and Bea pushed my head until she was riding my face.
I removed my other fingers from holding her panties back and moved them into her pussy.
She was losing control. Bea lifted her shirt, and I watched as she pinched her nipple. I made a mental note to remember what she liked.
“I’m about to come.”
Bea didn’t need to say anything, I already knew. She was tightening around my fingers. Only a few more pumps and she’d be over the edge.
I gave her what she wanted and didn’t hold back. As she gripped my fingers while I fucked her with my hand, Bea came. She was beautiful, and I couldn’t wait until I gave her that expression again.
She cried out my name, and I never knew my name could sound so sweet.
After a few moments, once I knew she was coming down from her high, I sat back. I couldn’t help but chuckle at her contented smile and droopy eyelids.
I took pride that I created that just-fucked look.
“Okay, Mica, you did good on eating me into oblivion, but now it’s time to get fucked.”
“Let me wash my hands, and then I’ll let you do whatever you want to my body,” I said with a smirk.
I came back out after a minute, and she was still leaning against the wall, recovering from oblivion.
Just as I was about to help her out of her clothes, there was a knock at the door.
Our eyes widened, and I knew it was those babysitters bringing Shelby back.
“Guess time’s up,” Bea said as her shoulders sagged.
“Do you think they’d give us another hour?” I asked.
“Really?” Bea seemed surprised by my question. “You’re willing to let them take Shelby longer?”
I nodded. Now that I had a taste of Bea, I didn’t mind the occasional break from my niece. If that made me a bad guardian, then so be it.
“I’m sure they will. Let’s ask them.” Bea quickly pulled down her skirt and tucked in her shirt before she pulled open the door.
What I saw there had me completely forgetting what just happened the last hour. I fell to my knees in shock as I saw what they had done to Shelby.
THIRTEEN
Bea
“We have the meeting today at eleven. Now, I have my proposal written up for you to look over. Just tell me if there’re any problems . . . Are you listening?” I asked as I stood in front of Mica.
Ever since Mica witnessed Shelby standing last night when Dan and Gabby returned her, Mica hadn’t let Shelby out of his sight.
That meant no sex. Once he opened the door and Gabby was holding both of Shelby’s hands, helping her stand, I was forgotten.
That didn’t mean I was complaining. The orgasm he gave me did rip me in two. I didn’t think I had ever come that hard in my life.
Those fingers were talented. They should be in the running for the next Wonder of the World.
“Huh?” Mica finally noticed me standing next to Shelby. He was trying to recreate what the nannies did but wasn’t as successful.
“In about an hour, we’re meeting with my brother’s friend, Rock Diaz. This place was his idea. He runs The Blue Spot. The marketing director, Coleman McEwan, and, Sylvie the guest services director who you met yesterday.”
Mica finally looked up. His brown eyes gazed up at me in surprise. “Sylvie will be there? Great. It’ll give me a chance to thank her for introducing me to Dan and Gabby.”
I groaned. That’s all he cared about with the meeting. Not selling his precious coffee, not making two hundred grand . . . just thanking Sylvie for the nanny service.
“You can do that anytime you want, Mica. This meeting’s important. It’s the whole reason we’re here.”
He shook his head.
Oh no. Was he backing out?
“Please don’t tell me that—”
“I’ve been thinking, Bea . . .”
He was. He’s going to not follow through. I took a step back and began to pace.
If he was going to throw everything down the drain because some child development guru spent a few hours with his niece and helped her with her standing, then I was going to let him have it.
I pointed to my shoes. “You see these shoes, Mica?”
He nodded. “They’re nice?” he questioned as if I was giving him a trick question.
“They’re my only pair of three-inch heels. Normally, when I do business meetings, I wear four-inch heels. Because I know that no man could stand for an hour, race through an office, and still look good in four-inch heels. These feel like running shoes compared to my four-inchers.”
“Okay.” He seemed nervous. He should be.
“The reason I didn’t pack my four-inchers is that I thought I would have had enough time, after getting you to agree to let me arrange this deal, to stop back by my home and pick up my meeting shoes. The three-inch ones are for the country. Hence, why I wore them to meet you.”
“So, you’re saying I’m not good enough for four-inch heels?”
I folded my arms and stared down at him as he gave up and let Shelby sit in his lap.
“I’m saying I would have had this deal signed and delivered to you, per your two-hundred-grand terms, by now. But you insisted on coming. And then you insisted on making us drive here. I said yes to all that when I would normally say no. And now you want to back out? Telling me all this time was for nothing?”
Mica had the audacity to smile at me. Grin like a clown. Now I saw where his sister got the clown part when she called him a clown goat.
“You didn’t let me finish.”
Like anything he could say would make this better.
“Okay, Mr. Coffee, please enlighten me on how walking away from a two-hundred-thousand-dollar deal would be great for us.”
“I was thinking of letting Dan and Gabby take Shelby until dinner. That way, after the meeting, we could order room service and I could,” he covered his niece’s ears, “fuck you into oblivion.”
I stared at him. “Actually, that would be great for us. I stand corrected. In fact, I’ll go call them right now and ask.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to run home and grab your four-inchers”
I stopped right before I picked up the phone by the white leather couch against the gold wall. “You couldn’t handle my four-inchers. They scare most men.”
He winked and said, “Good thing I’m not most men.”
He was right. Mica could be both m
addeningly stubborn and utterly caring. He was big and sexy and like a tree I had the strong urge to climb.
After I got off the phone with Gabby, who agreed to stop by to pick up Shelby, I walked over to Mica. He placed her on the floor to play with her letter toy.
“I think she’s tired. My guess is she used all her strength to stand. She’s not used to it. Give her a break. She may surprise you again.” I placed my hand on his shoulder.
“I know you’re right. But after meeting with the doctor and looking up online about cerebral palsy, I worry if she’ll ever walk.”
I sat on the edge of the bed next to Mica as Shelby gave up on her toy and started to tug at the pale-yellow bedspread from the floor.
“Okay, so what if she doesn’t? What if what you witnessed last night was the best she’ll ever be able to do?”
He was silent for a moment, and even though I wanted to reach out to him, hold him, I knew he needed this time to think. I sat there watching him as my heart twisted in my chest.
He cleared his throat after a minute and whispered to Shelby, “I’ll still love you. No matter what. You’re my baby girl.”
I turned my head as tears pricked my eyes. That was it. The man would break me. He would be the one man who stole my breath, captured my heart, and shattered me before I even blinked.
Who knew I’d fall for a guy with a kid?
“Then that will be our norm. That will be our life. Shelby will still be Shelby, and I’ll still be the man who loves her with everything I have.”
Crap. Now I was crying.
“Damn you,” I said and stood as I made my way toward the bathroom. “You’re ruining my mascara.”
There was a knock at the door, and I knew who it was.
“Can you get that?” I yelled as I locked the bathroom door behind me. He couldn’t see me cry.
No one could. I was about to land a two-hundred-thousand-dollar deal. There was no room for tears.
I watched as they streamed down my face, and it all hit home. What if I had been Shelby? Would my parents love me with all that they had, no matter what? Would they treat me the same way they do now, or would I be hidden away?
