She licked upward, paying attention to all the hard muscle he had. She licked and kissed as she heard his breathing coming faster. She watched as his nipples tightened up. She licked one of them and blew her breath over it as a moan came out of his throat. His moan felt like a jolt of pure pleasure to her system as she jerked with it.
“Again, Tau.” Her voice came out in a raged request as she sucked a nipple in her mouth.
“Lia,” her name a plea as he held her close and rubbed himself against her damp sex.
She wanted to beg for it, but nothing came out except little sounds of need as she felt him hot against her weeping sex. He flipped her over, kissing her deeply as he pushed against her roughly. Her body shot up and a moan left her mouth as explosions took over her body.
He sat up and quickly removed her pants, leaving her wearing nothing, then did the same for himself.
“I need you.”
Talia looked in his eyes. His want and need were evident for her to see in his passion filled gaze, but it was the love that shone from them, the commitment there that rocked her. It was everything she had ever dreamed of when she was a soul.
“Take me.”
He positioned himself and slid in deep causing her to try to bite back a jagged sound.
“Forget who might hear,” he rasped in her ear. “Enjoy.”
She threw back her head and screamed when he pulled his long hard cock out of her and sank into her with a strength he had not used last night. His lean hips moved fast, keeping her on the edge of pleasure, making her beg in incoherent words for the breaking of the damn inside her body.
His body encouraged hers to meet every thrust and to scream out loud when he pinched her nipples, taking her up even higher. She felt as if she was flying and the sky was the limit. It was the sound of his voice that broke the damn. He chanted Lia over and over between deep moans. She tried to hold on, to keep going until it was too late and waves of pleasure swept over her, causing her to roar her delight for all to hear.
He rode her high, using it to fuel his own, until his body began to shudder and his head was thrown back as she felt his release deep inside her.
“It’s so warm. I love the feeling of you spilling inside my body.”
He moaned, still caught up in his own pleasure.”
Talia was rubbing his back when he finally opened his eyes to look at her.
“You’re amazing.” He reached down and gave her a kiss.
She melted into his kiss. It was soft and sweet, not hard and demanding and she basked in the way it made her feel. He pulled out of her, leaving her feeling empty. She followed him, lying on his chest.
“What’s on your mind, Lia?”
“I walked the perimeter today. There’s enough room for them to land three of those massive ships there.”
Talia curled up into him, letting his arms make her feel safe.
“They will not land three, Lia, only one. They have a ship that is bigger than the three of them put together. They will bring that one. It will be filled with an army of Krier with plenty of space for whatever prisoners they take, but they will come seeking only one.”
“Me.”
“Yes, Lia. You.”
“Do you need to recalculate for that?”
“No. I have already added it in. The ship can easily carry three hundred Kriers, but they will not bring that many. They are a greedy race, seeking approval of the leader. Even with that, there will still be around one hundred of them on board. They will not fear one Mian who is female, but they will remember me. So they will bring more than they want to capture you.”
“That is a lot to fight.”
“You will not be fighting. You will resist, but be too terrified to run and they will boast about who actually captured you. Remember, I can find you anywhere. They will then secure you. It will not be pleasant, but I know you are strong enough to endure, little warrior.”
“Tau, where will you be while I am enduring?”
He broke her gaze and looked over her shoulder. “I will be around.”
“Where will you be, Tau?”
He still refused to meet her eyes. “I will be safe.”
Talia reached out and gripped his chin, holding it still so she could look into his eyes. “Where will you be?”
His eyes bored into hers. The look in them was wild. “Do you think I can sit back while you put your life in danger and do nothing? I will be making sure I stay close to you, in case you need a fast extraction.”
She smiled and leaned down to kiss him. Laying her head back on his chest she asked. “What if they capture you? What happens then? I would give them anything, I would do anything to make sure you are unharmed. I would become a threat to our people if it meant keeping you alive. Is that what you want?”
“How can you ask me to stay here and do nothing while you risk your life?”
Talia ran her hand over Tau’s abdomen noting how strong and tight he was. She stopped to push, not understanding where the slight softness had come from. She was sure it was softer than just a few hours ago. Shaking loose her concerns, she focused on his words.
“Why are they bringing such a big ship?”
“They will send at least half of their number to scout the area once you have been captured.”
“How likely is it that they will be willing to retreat with just one Mian?”
“They will not. The others will try to find Azure.”
“What will happen when you are following the ship with me in it and the only one here to defend the Mians is Tarek?”
“I will not lose you.” The words came out with a quiet determination.
“You’re right. You will not lose me, but we can’t lose the others either. It’s why we are here.”
She snuggled into his arms as she waited for him to go through the scenarios in his head.
“There is another option.”
What could he have thought of?
“The ancients had the ability to track their mates even off planet. Every Mian had the ability. None use it any more. They call it barbaric. Once done, it can never be undone. It will tie us together tighter than the binding ritual.”
“Tell me about it.”
“I could bite you.”
Talia felt herself flush as she thought about what they had been doing. “I believe you already did that.”
“No Lia, I could bite you.” He opened his mouth to show her the two teeth that had points on them. They were longer and sharper than she remembered.
He licked the curve of her neck. “I would bite you here.”
“What would that do?” She felt the tremor in her voice. His teeth seemed to have grown and they were throbbing.
“It’s the strongest tie two Mians can have to each other. It can only be done with true soul mates.”
“What would happen if we were not each other’s soul mates?”
“Pain.”
“And if we are true soul mates?”
“Neither us of us would ever be able to hide from the other.”
“Why don’t Mians do this anymore?”
“It was not something everyone did, but when the Kriers came, it became dangerous. If they were able to break someone, then finding there other half was assured.”
“If they broke me, then they would have a direct line to you?”
“They won’t break you, Lia.”
“You’re right and I won’t risk your life. No.”
Chapter Thirteen
Talia woke up to a sad pair of eyes laced with determination looking at her. Reaching up, she kissed him. She tried to pull his body closer.
“It’s time, Lia.”
“I need you.”
“You need your strength.”
She allowed him to pull her up and lead her to the bathroom. The last week had passed swiftly. He had trained her every working hour, making sure she understood all they knew of the Kriers. She knew the plan they had come up with as intimately as she knew
Tau’s body. He had gone over it until she heard it replaying in her sleep and now the day had finally come.
He also asked her every day to let him bite her and she refused. Her first priority was keeping him safe.
Talia looked at Tau standing strong and tall in front of her. “I need you.”
She felt his kiss gentle on her lips as he worked his way down her body. When she felt him at the apex of her thighs her eyes rounded.
“Tau?”
“Let me do this for you.”
He drove her crazy then, making her body explode. Then he stood jutting outwards and refusing fulfillment.
“When you come home, Lia. When you come home.”
Time went too fast. Now it was time to meet the others. She followed him out the door. They took a walk to the spot where they watched the young play. She remembered the first time she had seen him covered in young and smiled.
In silence they left and walked through the village acknowledging Mians who came out to smile at them or wish her well in her endeavors. Soon she was standing with Tarek and Jana.
“I won’t be gone that long.”
“I know, Lia. Stay safe and come back as soon as you can.”
“Stay safe, Tau.”
She hugged him and then hugged Jana and Tarek, who were wishing her safe travel.
“Make sure he is safe,” she whispered in Tarek’s ear. Her reason to fight was linked in all ways to Tau.
“I will.”
With one more look in Tau’s eyes, she disappeared.

They stood at the perimeter of the battle ground they had chosen. It was not an open field this time, although there was a space big enough for the Krier’s ship. The Mians would be keeping to the surrounding forest, making the Kriers chase them; forcing them to leave their ship.
The sudden noise in the silent forest warned them the Kriers were on their way, even though they could not be seen. Talia watched as the wild life began to run around in circles and then in the opposite direction of the sound. Even they were smart enough to run away. So why she was running to them?
“Zymar, is everything in place?”
Cian had come out of the darkness to ask the question. Even though Talia had not gotten to know him, there was something about his demeanor that made her trust him while still being weary of him. She would figure it out later. Now there was a battle to be won.
“Talia, you are looking for a red box. It is kept in the central compound, according to our intelligence. You will know it when you see it. You have to destroy it. It is our only way in.”
Talia nodded her head and went to crouch behind a tree. The rest of the Mians melted into the shadows. The ship that approached was easily three times the size of the one she had seen. It hovered over the open space, but never set down. A door opened and steps descended from the ship to the ground.
The Kriers marched out in pairs of two, one pair after the other. They were covered from their heads to their feet, unable to feel the natural rhythm of the planet. When they were all out and a search of the plain had been done, another Krier came out. This one was in charge. He walked with authority and the others waited on him to give them directions.
Talia was too far away to hear the commands given, but she knew. Half of the Kriers pulled into a formation and marched off heading towards where Zymar’s camp used to reside. When they did not find the camp, they would keep marching. If they were not stopped, then they would find Azure.
The second half began to comb the forest looking for Mians; looking for her. She stood still. They would have to work for her. She locked her legs in place and balled up her fists right before she was spotted. A huge cry went out as she was noticed. The Kriers surround her as she stood resisting that noise, but none came closer. She closed her eyes before opening them to find the leader of the party smiling at her.
“So you are the one who can resist our call. The sound has obviously scared you to the point you could not run.” His words dripped like venom from the deadliest animal, but were laced with joy. He would have a prize to turn over to his leader.
“Bring her to the ship. She will talk there.”
Talia stiffened her limbs further the minute they touched her. She wanted to use all the moves Tau had taught her, knowing if she did she would jeopardize the mission. She was being dragged back to the ship as they talked about how Mians were a weak race and deserved to be destroyed.
“If they cannot defend their planet, they do not deserve to have it,” one Krier commented with a mocking voice.
“If we decide to inhabit a planet the former residents no longer deserve that planet.”
They laughed as they pulled her up the steps. Dragging her into a big room, they tossed her into the center of it.
“What would you have us do with her?” Their voices had taken on a tone of respect as they spoke to the leader.
“Cage her for now, she is not broken enough.”
They dragged her through what she assumed was the control room. It was filled with lots of machinery as well as several chairs she assumed they used for controlling the ship. She was then dragged through a hallway and down a flight of stairs until she reached a darkened area of the ship. They stopped to key a code in the door and dragged her in.
Talia bucked as she tried to avoid the stench. One of the Kriers casually reached out and hit her.
“I think we will use a special cage for this one.” They dragged her to the other side of the room where there were a row of small cells.
Talia knew they must be for young ones.
“Get into the cage.” She looked at the cage and looked back at them. “Move if you don’t want your punishment to begin today.”
Another Krier kicked her causing her to cry out. Looking over her shoulder she crawled into the cage. She had to curl up into the fetal position to be able to stuff her body inside.
“Doesn’t she look pretty all bawled up and helpless? We may have to come back later and try this one out.”
She listened as they crossed the room, stopping to address someone along the way. Finally the door closed and she breathed a sigh of relief.
It wasn’t like she was trapped, she assured herself as she lie in the uncomfortable position. She could disappear at any time, in fact she could go see Tau, tell him she was ok and then come back. She could at least stretch outside of the cage. Taking a deep breath she tried to leave the cage. Nothing. Do not panic. She tried again. Nothing. She could not leave that cage.
Tau had cautioned her about thinking the differences in her Mian biology would help her. He had speculated the Krier had found a way to block whatever advantage their makeup had given them. He was right. Taking a deep breath, she calmed down, knowing Tau would feel whatever she felt through their soul bond. She reached for him. She couldn’t stop herself. Immediately peace poured through her. She relaxed. She could do this.
“Who are you?”
A voice asked out of the darkness. She had known she was not alone, but had stayed quiet.
“I am Talia of Azure. Who are you?”
“You are no longer Talia of Azure. You are now a slave to the Kriers. They will use you anyway they wish.”
“Do you also view yourself as a slave to the Kriers?”
“Yes, we all are. Every one of us.”
“Have you been here long?”
“Long enough to know freedom is long gone.”
“Why have they kept you on the ship this long?”
The silence was deafening in the wake of all the talking the mysterious voice had done.
“No one knows why the Kriers do what they do.”
“I know from others who have escaped the grasp of the Kriers that they do not keep their captives on the ship long. This makes me wonder why you would still be here.”
Talia felt the ship lift higher. They were leaving before the other part of their squad came back. This meant they had found Zymar’s empty camp and were continuing the hunt. She trie
d to read Tau to see how he was, but all she could pick up on was his concerns about her. She tried to send him a warning through the link and wondered why she had resisted letting him bite her. If he could find her that meant she could find him.
“You lie. None have ever escaped the Kriers. They are too powerful.”
“Powerful compared to what? Many have escaped. Even the young have escaped. The Kriers would have you believe all hope is lost, but we know better than that. We know our people will continue to fight and we must fight since we are on the inside.”
“She is right.” A soft female voice called out. “I almost gave up listening to him tell me how I would be abused. He talked about how we would never find our ones unless they were already captives. If not, we would be alone until we died, unless we gave in to the Kriers and let them find our other halves for us.”
“I suspect he has been broken and is working with the Krier.” A male voice came out sharp and strong. We should all ignore him and conserve our strength for when we arrive.”
“I agree.” Talia travelled the rest of the way in silence.
Chapter Fourteen
Talia had been dragged out of the ship to find herself on the edge of a compound. The space was filled with ships. The one she had occupied was the biggest and hovered over the ground. There were three ships like the one she saw when she first arrived and again when they had their skirmish. There were also several smaller ships that looked like they could hold around six Kriers. They were better equipped than she thought before coming here. She and all the others, including the male who had spoken of slavery as a given, were loaded into a small vehicle and taken into the compound.
It looked exactly as Tau had described it. In the very center there was a large one story building. She knew from Tau’s diagram this building was the heart of the compound. Everything was monitored from here and communications to the leader of all Kriers happened here. Around the building was an area of space and then smaller structures, all one story, surrounding it. The ring around the main structure held places for their healer and development areas. He said they worked on new ways to hurt the Mians in some of these areas. He had cautioned her that being taken into one of those structures could be deadly. The last ring of one story structures appeared to be dwelling spaces.
