  Kisha

I had my party on my mind, but here comes Morris with this bullshit.

“So what bitch you fucking with, Moe?” He laughed playing shit off.

“Girl, I was just calling you to let you know I made it to the hotel. I was just playing with you.” Classic Moe, always turning shit around to make it seem like shit wasn’t what I thought it was.

“Playing with me saying I’m at work shaking my ass?” This shit made no sense.

“Yeah, girl. You see that is why we always arguing. You don’t know how to take no damn jokes.”

“Who the fuck is Tina, Moe?” I asked his dumb ass as I sat outside the barbershop. I was getting the boys haircut, the same shit that he should have been doing, and now he was there calling me talking about some other bitch.

  “Girl, I was just joking.”

  “Well, I’m not laughing, motherfucka.”

“What... Why you gotta call me out my name.” He laughed but wasn’t shit funny to me.

  “Why you got condoms, Moe?”

  “What?”

“Condoms, rubbers, they go around your dick and protect you from STDs and getting bitches pregnant.” He must not have understood what I was asking him because I knew I said the words clearly.

“I know what they are, Kisha…”

“Well, why the fuck aren’t you answering my question?”

  “I don’t have any condoms.”

“Yes, you do. You dropped it earlier when you dropped all the shit in your bag, and our son found it.” The phone was silent for a minute.

“Naw, I didn’t drop no rubber.”

“It didn’t sound like no damn joke. It sounded like you got caught the fuck up.”

“Man, I don’t have time for this bullshit.”

“And neither do I. Maybe I should just start cheating on you, so you know how it feels.”

“Bitch, if you cheat on me…”

  “What... What you gonna do?”

“I’m gonna slap the shit out of you, that’s what.” We hadn’t fought in a while, but back in our early days it was nothing for Moe to slap me and go about his day.

“What I tell you about that hitting shit.”

“You know what I told you about fucking somebody else.” He said, and now he had officially turned the conversation around on me.

  “Whatever, Moe.”

“Yeah, whatever my ass. I’m at the hotel. Call me when you off that bullshit.” He hung up before I could say another word. Clicking back over I did everything I could to keep myself from crying.

  “You still there, Lea.”

“Yeah, I’m here... You cool.” My girl Lea must have heard it in my voice. I was on the phone with her when Moe called, and now I wish I would have just hung up.

“NO... That fucking Moe, girl.” I told her what happened, how he acted like it was just a joke. But I left out the part about him hitting me. Nobody needed to know about that, they wouldn’t have believed it by the way Moe acted in public anyway.

“Girl, you know he slipped up, and now he trying to cover that shit up.”

“What the fuck is going on? What is happening to us?”

“He ain’t shit, that's what's happening.” Lea couldn’t stand Moe from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet; she hated him. If it was up to her I wouldn’t be with his ass at all.

“I don’t wanna hear all that Moe hating tonight, Lea.”

“Maybe you do. He is still the same selfish asshole that he was before you married him. And all that cheating he said he would stop, and he is still doing it.” I couldn’t even argue with her or defend Moe. Every day he was showing me that his ass was still the same person.

“Well, what am I supposed to do about it, L, huh? How do you stay married with this shit?” I tried not to cry, but the tears came anyway.

“Don’t cry, Kisha, damn…” I couldn’t help it. I had given my all to this man, gave him two beautiful kids, supported him when no one else did, and now after he promised me he was still cheating on me. I could feel it.

“I told his ass that maybe I’ll start cheating on his ass.” She started laughing at that.

“Shit... If I was you I would have done that a long time ago. Just do what I do.” I blew my nose listening to my friend. “When Larry wouldn’t stop doing his thing, and I knew I wasn’t going to leave I just settled into the reality that this was the way it was going to be.”

  “What do you mean?”

“Meaning, girl, I wasn’t leaving my husband. He pays the bills, and I still got kids in school. So I did the next best thing. I got me a side nigga.” I didn’t mean to, but I laughed so damn loud it filled the car.

  “What's so funny?”

“So you mean to tell me you got somebody on the side of Larry?”

“Hell, yeah.” This was the first I had heard of this.

  “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Girl, it's not something that I’m proud of. Not like I got a t-shirt saying hey I got some dick on the side.” I would've never thought that that Lea would cheat on Larry. They had been together since high school. Having kids and getting married, but on the outside looking in I thought things were cool. You never knew what people got going on.

“And for a while Larry didn’t know. But baby, when he found out.” She laughed.

“What... He found out? Who was it?.”

“I’m not telling you. You don’t know him no way.” We laughed as I wiped away my tears. “But what I’m saying is that Larry found out. He got so mad that he stepped his game up.” This shit had me thinking hard. If it could work for Lea and Larry then maybe it would help me.

“Really… Cause girl, this nigga is just taking me for granted.”

“You know, you don’t miss a good thing until it's gone.” That was more than true, and maybe he needed to be taken down a bit, so I could show his ass who was really the boss. “He just needs a reminder, that’s all.”

I thought back to how broke Moe was when we first got together. How I taught him to save his money, showed him how to get a bank account, file taxes, and file for joint custody of his son. Things that a real bitch does, but instead he was out here playing with these hoes.

“You know, that nigga doesn’t know how good he has it.” I had to admit that I did everything for Moe, cleaning, cooking, taking care of the kids. I handled someone of his money situations, and ran errands for his ass when he was out of town on top of going to work my damn self.

“You know it hurt Larry’s heart that I could move on like that.”

“Shit, I bet it did. You know they can dish it, but they definitely can’t take it.”

“Hell, yeah. Now you just gotta find somebody easy. Somebody that’s digging you. Shit, why not go back to somebody that you used to fuck with.” I knew exactly who she was talking about, and her little laugh confirmed it.

“You got jokes, huh?” She laughed, but I would be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about it a time or two.

Looking in the barbershop I watched Titus cut my son’s hair as he told my other boy to sit down. Titus was beyond fine, thick black, Mohawk, tattoos down his arms and thick biceps I could see myself wrapping my arms around.

  “You hear me, K?.”

  “What you say?”

“I said do it... Go out and get you some. What would be so bad about you fucking with Titus again?” I didn’t want to tell Lea that I had already been looking at Titus. I promised to keep that under wraps because who went around liking their husband’s best friend. But maybe this was just the wakeup call that Moe needed. No one really knew but Lea that me and Moe use to mess around back in the day. It was so long ago it almost felt like it never happened, except late at night when I needed some warm body and a hot dick lying next to me I thought about Titus and all the time we spent together.

“While he is out there fucking and humping around you find yourself something, and I think their name starts with a T.”

  “Girl,
just come right out and say it.” I laughed.

“I see the way Titus looks at you. Y’all are both grown now, Ki.” She knew about the agreement between me and Titus about how we said we would never talk about that time again.

“But Lea, I chose Moe. I can’t go back and forth like that. Especially with how close Moe and Lea are.”

“Bitch, he kissed a woman at your wedding. Everything is off the table.” She was right about that. Lea was the only person I told about that, and now she was throwing it back up in my face.

My eyes were still on Titus as he took the cape off my youngest son and dusted the hair off his clothes.

“Let me call you back, L.”

“Ok, I’ll see you at the party anyway.” She told me hanging up as Titus brought the boys out to the car. Sometimes I wished they were his kids. Would I still be going through this bullshit?

“Hey, T. Thank you.” I pulled out the cash to pay him as the boys jumped in the car, but he waved my hand away.

“You know it’s no charge with Uncle Titus.” I smiled at that.

“Thank you.” Closing the doors on the kids so they couldn’t hear what we were talking about. I wanted to ask him did he ever think about us? All those crazy times when we were teenagers that I tried pushing out of my mind. I was a good actor. I never showed it, but I still wanted him in a way, but there was something different about Titus. Moe was a hoe fucking any bitch that winked at him. I thought Moe was different, but maybe I was wrong.

“No prob. Had to get some time in with my nephews.” I looked him up and down as he talked, his full pink lips looked like prime pussy eating utensils. I missed the way he used to suck my clit. It had been a while since Moe ate my pussy. Even then nobody was as good as Titus.

“So you coming to my party tonight?” I smiled.

  “At the Majestic, right?”

“Yep.” The hottest club in the city, and here I was stuck with no husband by my side.

“Yeah, I can slide through.” Moe was always telling me about how big of a hoe that Titus was, but looking at Titus I could see why. And knowing what I knew about his dick game; if I was single I probably would have been back on him too. My pussy clenched up just thinking about all the things we used to do.

Moe was always telling em things about Titus like I had no idea. I pretended like I didn’t know, but that was the plan. Me and Titus talked about this, we would act like we never happened, but Lea was right. I saw the way Titus looked at me. He wanted to fuck me, and I saw it every time I looked into his eyes.

“Cool. You gonna bring ya girl?” I knew Titus wasn’t with nobody, but I tested the waters anyway. He never claimed these chicks, and as much of a lady’s man as he was I never saw no chicks hanging around the shop.

“Girl…” He laughed. “You got jokes. You know I fly solo. I been waiting on you to hook me up with somebody like you.” Somebody like me? I laughed at that, but the look in his eyes was like little hearts dancing around.

“Ummm. Well, you know they broke the mold when they made me.” I twirled around and he took the bait; he watched me with my ass jiggling in my jeans.

“Yeah, you right about that. I remember that mold.” Titus said right as my son rolled down the window.

“Mommy, I’m hungry.” Morris junior called from the car.

“Alright, son. Thanks, Uncle Titus. I’ll see you later.” I winked, he smiled and waved, and I had the best idea in the world. That moment I knew it. I was going to fuck Titus, and there was no better time than the present. It was time I got some payback on Moe’s bitch ass, and that payback was going to be me with his best friend.

  Titus

It was around three o’clock, and I was just now walking in the club, but already I saw two niggas getting dragged out.

“See, cuz, this is why I don’t even go out.” Me and my cousin Ant laughed but it was the truth. Niggas always got too drunk and started fighting, and then eventually there would be some shooting.

“Ole bum ass niggas that can’t handle they liquor. We coming in here to see your old thing, right?” I laughed as I looked for her, scanning the club on the low, but of course I caught the eye of other bitches I wasn’t trying to see.

When we stepped in it was like the entire club stopped and was staring at me, but I played the shit off as we made our way to the bar. I already knew that every bitch in town wanted me. As my Daddy used to say “If they grin you in.” Meaning if I could get a bitch to laugh, smile, and joke, then I knew I could smash her.

And Kisha was no different, the only problem was that nigga Moe moved in on her when we broke up. That was cool. I respected the code, but tonight at Club Majestic I was watching her ass like a mouse to a hawk. She had on this dress that was so motherfucking tight that I swear I could see her heart beating, but at the same time she looked elegant and not like some hoe.

I came with my cousin, and we were both watching her ass on the low.

“Is that her?” I nodded from the bar sipping my drink.

“Yo cuz... That bitch right there.” He shook his head, and I already knew what that meant. “You let that go.” I nodded sipping my drink.

“But that’s Moe’s wife now, bruh.”

“Word?” I nodded and cuz shook his head.

“Man... I would have to go for what I knew.” I laughed at my cousin, he was a little more cutthroat than I was. Shit was done for me when she said I do.

“Man, you would fuck your own brother’s bitch.”

“Shit, I have.” He almost made me spit out my drink. I laughed at that nigga, but he was way too serious.

“You think I’m joking?” I didn’t. I already knew about the tales of my cousin Ant and his ways. That's why we nicknamed him Ruthless; he didn’t play about his money or these hoes. He would fuck any nigga’s bitch and not care, and he would kill a preacher if it came down to his bread.

“So, what you wanna do about this bullshit with Moe?” Me and Moe bought a house together months ago, and the nigga still hadn’t paid me my money, yet.

“You want me to off his ass? I can do that. You know I never liked the nigga.” That was Ruthless for you, but my eyes were on Kisha.

“You know, he had the nerve to text me earlier and ask me to watch his bitch.” I showed the text to my cuz, and that nigga cracked up.

“Yeah, I’ll watch her alright.” He grabbed his dick just as Kisha started walking over.

“Hey, beautiful. I guess it's officially your birthday.” I gave her a hug, and my dick jumped just putting my hands around her. She was so fucking fine and smelled like rose petals.

  “This is my cousin, Ant.”

“Happy Birthday.” Ant licked his lips looking at her. He had that cool killer look in his eye, and a part of me got a little jealous like she was my bitch or something. I guess in my head Kisha was mine. Moe just happened to get to her first.

“So, y’all come up to VIP and get some….” Before she could finish shots rang out like a fucking firing squad. I pulled Kisha down as we all hit the ground, screaming and people running through the club.

“Yo, get shorty out of here, cuz.” He was right, getting up and ducking behind the bar I grabbed Kisha’s hand.

“We leaving.” I didn’t wait for her to answer. I took her hand leading her out of the club and to my car parked at the curb.

“But, Lea….” More shots went off, and I didn’t give a fuck who was still in there. “You got your purse?”

“Yeah…” That was all I needed to know. Shutting her door I ran around to the driver side and took off.

“I can’t fucking believe this.” She was on her phone.

“Lea, you okay?” I heard her talking as I burned rubber down the street, hitting a few corners trying to get out the way as the police cars came shooting down the street.

“Okay, cool. As long as you okay. I’ll holla at you in the morning… I got a ride.” I listened to her conversation a bit, hitting some corners and making my way around the city
. “Aight... Bye.”

  “You cool?” I asked her.

“Yeah... We just can’t have shit.” She went on talking about her birthday, and how she was ruined, but my eyes were on her thighs.

“Yeah, that is fucked up… So, you want me to take you home?” She paused for a min, looking out the window.

“Yeah, I guess so. Nothing else to do. My man ain’t here so…” I wanted to laugh at that. Only if she knew what that nigga was doing on the road she wouldn’t be calling him her man for too long.

“Wassup with that, tho? I haven’t spoken to my bro lately.” She laughed from the passenger seat.

“Well, ya bro has been fucking up.”

“Aww, yeah? What does that mean?”

I needed to know; the nigga had been dodging me not coming around the shop as much. I was starting to think he might try to run off with my money or something.

“He called me early by mistake. Thought he was talking to some bitch.” I had to laugh at that. That had to have been number one in the playa’s handbook. Make sure you don’t do no talking on the phone, and damn sure make sure you talking to the right bitch.

“So, what did you do?” She shook her head looking out the window.

“I called him on it, but every time I do he does the same thing. He weasels his way out of shit and tells me that I’m crazy, but I know what I feel.” Her hand was on mine now as I pulled up in the front of her house.

“What do you feel then?” I put the car in park facing her.

“We both grown, right?” Shit... I knew where this had to be going, and as bad as I wanted it now being across from her I wasn’t too sure.

“Yeah, we grown.” She laughed running her fingers up my arm.

“I feel like you want me, and I feel like I want you, too.” She leaned in closer, rubbing her fingers towards my thigh when I stopped her.

“Yo... I don’t think we should…” I didn’t know what the fuck I was saying, but something in me told me I shouldn’t even make this move.

“Damn... I’m sorry.” She looked away like she was going to cry. “Thanks for the ride.”

“Kish... Wait…” She was out the car and running up to her house before I could stop her. I wanted her. I wanted her more than she knew, but Moe was my nigga at the end of the day, no matter what shit he was on.
