by St. James, Brooke

Allie agreed saying she'd never seen such creative baby pictures and we should open a studio. Dominic gave Allie some good-natured warnings about his brother, which made us all laugh.

I'd been standing beside him, and he gave me a little squeeze. "I'll be home around four," he said.

I stared up at him. "I can't wait."

He leaned in and put a kiss right on my mouth even though we were standing in the middle of a restaurant.

  "I love you," he said.

I was so smitten that I reached up and touched his cheek.

  "I love you too."

He smiled and gave me one quick kiss before waving to the others and making his way out of the restaurant.

Dominic and I were as happy together as two people could be. We knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that we were supposed to be together, and that knowledge brought a sense of security and contentment to our relationship that we were both thankful for every day.

We often joked about the fact that were destined to be together, saying it was so undeniable that someone from our lineage would probably end up saving the world.

  The End

But Ruth replied, "Don't ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!" When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she said nothing more. Ruth 1:16-18

God has not promised skies always blue,

Flower strewn pathways all our lives through.

God has not promised sun without rain,

Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God has promised strength for the day,

Rest for the laborer, light on the way.

Grace for the trial, help from above,

  Undying sympathy, unfailing love.
