Bedazzled (The Beguiling Bachelors Book 1)

Keeli touched every inch she could reach. Wyatt felt her small hands rub his pecs; slide over his shoulders and around to his back. He felt her fingers dig into the taut muscles of his ass, causing them to tighten reflexively. He ground his pelvis harder against her softness, pulling her tight against him. He was devouring her with his mouth, pushing her into the mattress in a slow, carnal samba.
“You are so beautiful,” Wyatt whispered in awe, his voice husky “I wanted to take this slower, savor it, but I am desperate for you. You ready for me, babe? I can’t hold back any more.” Wyatt looked deep into her eyes, seeking assurance.
“Yes,” came her breathy response. “We can slow it down next time, Wyatt. Just make love to me. Now,” she begged, breath coming in short gasps, hands roaming over his skin uncontrollably, pulling him hard against her.
As soon as the words were out of Keeli’s mouth, Wyatt was up; yanking off his boxer-briefs while Keeli threw off the scratchy quilt and lay back on the sheets. Wyatt bent his body over her, touching only mouth to mouth while his hands slowly slid the lacey bikini down her legs. Tantalizing anticipation coursed through his veins while Wyatt tried to cling to sanity, trying to prolong the moment. A fine sheen covered his body from the effort.
“Shit, hang on.” Wyatt sat bolt upright, shaken. He stood, flashing Keeli an apologetic look. Keeli wasted no time admiring his lean hips, powerful legs and proud manhood jutting erect and ready. Wyatt preened under her adoring eyes.
Wyatt looked stricken a moment, glancing around the sparsely furnished room before his eyes settled on his pants, in a heap on the floor. He grabbed them, reaching first into one pocket, then another, then a back pocket, growing increasingly frantic.
“Shit.” He was obviously losing his patience when Keeli flashed him a disarming smile, leaned over and riffled through the drawer of her bedside table.
“Looking for this?” She asked nonchalantly dangling a condom between her thumb and forefinger. Flashing a grateful wide grin, Wyatt grabbed the condom without ceremony, ripped it open with his teeth and slid it over his impressive length.
Kissing Keeli hard on the mouth, he laid his body upon hers from shoulder to knees, reaching under him to wrap her legs around his hips, raising her up to meet him. She was wet and ready. Wyatt had hoped to slide in slowly but the sweet feel of her around him was too tempting. He plunged forward, burying himself deep inside her. Lying still, he reveled in the feeling, listening to Keeli’s sigh of pleasure. Keeli squeezed her legs harder around his slim hips, enveloping him in her tight body, her arms and legs holding him firmly in place, their mouths melding in a scorching kiss.
Giving Keeli time to adjust to the feeling of Wyatt deep inside her, he tried staying still for a moment longer, listening to his heart bursting in his chest. His traitorous body took over, and he withdrew almost completely before stroking deep into her.
“You feel so damn good,” he repeated like a litany, over and over with each slow thrust. She rose to meet him, kissing his shoulders, his collarbone, his chest, his mouth, making little breathy sounds again and again.
The bed creaked under them loud and obvious. “Thank god the guys are out,” Keeli said in a moment of clarity.
“I plan to make plenty of noise,” Wyatt laughed, “and then I want to make you scream.”
Already so aroused before sinking into Keeli, Wyatt struggled to hold back, watching her face, working his magic on her body. He sucked her breast hard into his mouth, nipped at the hollow between her neck and collarbone, thrusting into her with mounting speed, watching her spiral out of control.
As she approached her climax, Keeli’s hands held tight to Wyatt’s butt, her breathing more erratic, and her grasp tightening. He was restraining himself, waiting for her to achieve her pleasure, his arms straining to hold himself above her, his face tight with his need for release.
Just when the pleasure could not get more intense, more wonderful, he sensed a tightening begin in her loins. Little moans and breathy sounds were spilling from her lips and her eyes were on his, unfocused. He moved his hips in circles, dipping into her welcoming body, watching her lose control. A loud “ohm” burst from her mouth as raw pleasure coursed through her being.
Wyatt, smug smile on his face, probed her mouth with his tongue, warm and insistent as his movements gained momentum. He was moving hard and fast into Keeli, her last spasms squeezing tight around his manhood as he released into her with a satisfied groan.
Wyatt held himself over Keeli briefly before rolling off and to the side, bringing her with him in the small space, tucking her tight under his arm. Their skin was slick with sweat as they lay crammed face to face in the small bed.
He kissed her gently, searching her eyes for an unsaid message.
“Okay?”
“Very okay,” Keeli tilted her head up to kiss him gently. “You?”
“Oh yeah.”
Wyatt rolled to his back placing his hands behind his head and staring off into space. He and Keeli worked on catching their breath, coming back to earth. After a long pause, he kissed her lips softly, then the top of her head. He felt like a God. She did this to him.
CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
Once their breathing had returned to normal and after a few gentle kisses, Wyatt broke the comfortable silence.
“This is your space, huh? Where you live?” Wyatt looked about the room as if only seeing it now.
“Not really. I just sleep here. My true space is next door, my design studio.”
“You really love what you do, don’t you?” Wyatt sounded wistful and sincerely curious.
“I really do.”
“And you believe in yourself? That you can do this all on your own?”
“I am starting to believe. I finally see light at the end of the tunnel. I had a good day today.”
“I had a great day today, “ Wyatt responded with a lecherous grin. “ And it’s not over.”
“Really,” Keeli dragged out the word, “What did you have in mind, Sir?” Keeli was running her fingers through the course hairs on Wyatt’s chest, pulling them slightly, teasing. He played along, feigned pain, alarming her before laughing at his little joke. She laid her hand safely on his chest, gently tracing the structure of his bones and muscles with her fingertips.
Wyatt started running his fingers through the ends of her hair, twirling a tight curl around his index finger repeatedly. He seemed unaware of his action as if he couldn’t stop touching, connecting. She understood. She was not ready to break the sensual spell they had created.
“Well,” Wyatt picked up on her question after a moment of quiet, “We could do this again." He motioned to the rumpled bed. “Or maybe we should think about some food?” Keeli leaned away to check the clock on her bedside table surprised that it showed it was almost six. At the same moment, her stomach growled loudly and she went off into girlish laughter.
Wyatt could not help laughing too, until their eyes met, held steady and he started kissing her again, holding her naked body against the warmth strength of his own. She leaned into him, molding her curves to his hard muscle.
“So, more?” he lifted his brow in a sinister expression.
“Food,” Keeli responded without hesitation. Wyatt grabbed his chest as if mortally wounded and fell back against the pillow. They laughed together again.
“In the mood for anything special? Order in or go out?”
“In. I would rather order in. Pizza? Chinese?” She had no idea what he liked and, with a little shock, realized how little she really knew about this man.
“Hmmm. What about we go back to my place for the night and pick up a couple steak dinners on the way? I worked up a big appetite,” he smirked at her. “We could call ahead and grab something fast?”
Steak dinner for take out? Oh yeah. This man knows how to live.
“Can I bring my flowers along?” Keeli questioned coquettishly.
“Absolutely. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Wyatt was sudd
enly bouncing with energy, ready to get moving.
“Okay, then. Let me get a quick shower and some clothes and we are out of here.”
“No shower,” Wyatt commanded imperiously. “Shower later, my place. Just throw something on, bring a toothbrush and we are outta here.”
Keeli flashed him an enormous smile when he said toothbrush, but Wyatt missed it while he rummaged around the floor for his clothes.
“Aye aye, Captain,” Keeli gave a salute, stopped to admire Wyatt’s tight ass and long strong legs as he moved about the room and bent for his clothes. Without the veneer of a custom suit, he was a he-man, all height and muscle. Keeli smiled to herself at the thought then remembered to grab her jeans, panties and bra from the floor, reaching into the closet for a clean shirt.
Looking past her shoulder Wyatt’s gaze was focused on her jewelry. There were chains, bracelets and mesh bags hanging from the closet rod taking up most of the small space. More hung from the doorknobs and was piled on the dresser top too. Her jewelry filled all available space. There were five pairs of shoes thrown haphazardly on the floor: flip flops, sneakers, a pair of outdated black flats, black heels and the sandals she was wearing for their first date. On hangers, there was one black dress, two sundresses, four shirts and a faded leather jacket as well as her waitressing uniform. On the shelf above were folded about six or seven pairs of jeans in a variety of washes and disrepair.
“Is that your whole wardrobe?” Keeli could tell that Wyatt could not keep himself from asking the question. She was sure he failed to recognize the insult in his tone.
“Well, I have more in the dresser,” she pointed at the small beat up bureau defensively. “Sweaters, tees and winter stuff.”
“But that’s it?” Wyatt’s expression moved from appalled to enlightened. Keeli saw the exact moment when Wyatt became aware of how little she had, how simply she lived, how different she would always be from him and how far from his world.
She tried putting a brave face on it, wondering how to recapture the previous connection. They needed to move beyond this gulf again.
“Well grab whatever, we’re outta here.” Whatever Wyatt was thinking, Keeli was relieved to see that he still wanted her to come to his place for the night. She had feared for a moment that he might try to wriggle out.
Keeli disappeared into the bathroom giving Wyatt time to snoop into her design studio. He could see that the light was better here, the shades pulled high to maximize it. He wandered the small room, checking out the pictures and sketches pinned to the walls, running his fingers over the supplies covering the table before stopping before her drafting board. A cheap box fan sat on the floor aimed at the board and two high voltage lamps were targeting it as well. The room was almost twice the size of the small bedroom next door.
Keeli watched Wyatt move about the room, knowing he was unaware she had returned. “Any questions?” she asked, startling him with the question.
“No, but I can see some of your inspiration, and your talent. You really are so creative. These are good,” he pointed to her sketches. “Really good. Where are the soldering and other dirty work done?”
“In the basement where it is cooler. And some I have to send out.”
She had smoothed her mass of curls although they were already getting away from her again, her face was fresh scrubbed and she smelled of minty toothpaste. He slid against her body with a quick hard kiss, passing in the narrow hallway to make his way to the bathroom.
Keeli could only imagine what Wyatt must be thinking now. The old bathroom was small, typical of a vintage apartment. The subway tiles were a bad turquoise blue, chipped here and there. The window placed in the wall next to the ancient tub was an old sash type that was painted shut with twenty or thirty coats of peeling paint. The floor of mismatched tiles was cool under his feet but didn't look too clean. They had added shelves to cover every inch of floor and wall space to hold towels, shampoos and the products that made up the daily life of one woman and two exacting gay men. There were lots and lots of products.
Wyatt was back in the bedroom in no time, saying nothing more about how she lived, pulling his pale blue shirt onto his still damp body, haphazardly stuffing his beautiful tie in his jacket pocket. Keeli was still standing in bra and panties, staring into the closet. She had picked up her clothes from the floor, but hadn’t wanted to put them back on. Wyatt looked so polished; she wanted to look good for him but was stymied on how to manage.
“Clothes, woman,” he directed her. “This man needs food.”
She smiled over her shoulder, nodded and grabbed a pair of jeans from the shelf, sliding them up her long legs. Wyatt watched as she shimmied them over her tight behind and she could tell he enjoyed the view.
“You know,” his voice was the hypnotic timber of a storyteller, “I‘m still thinking about your ass that day I grabbed it in the elevator.”
“And…?”
Wyatt took the two steps needed to cross the room and swatted her playfully on the butt. “I could not believe I was that brazen, but you just lured me in.”
Laughing and unsuccessfully trying to swat him back, Keeli returned to the closet, shoved her feet into flip flops and turned to the dresser, grabbing a plain white V-neck t-shirt, pulling it over her head. Keeli knew the cotton clung to her curves and enjoyed watching Wyatt discover that too, basking in his admiring glance.
“Ready?”
“Just let me grab a bracelet. I am naked without jewelry.” Keeli was already sorting through the metals and gems scattered on the dresser. She grabbed a silver openwork cuff, about two inches wide and slid it onto her wrist. Suddenly her outfit seemed elevated above the cheap tee and jeans.
“I like you naked,” Wyatt flashed her a wide smile. “But you look great in clothes too. Okay, ready. Let’s blow this pop-stand.”
Grabbing her hobo bag and dropping her toothbrush and a clean pair of panties into it she closed the bedroom door behind her and followed Wyatt into the living room.
Scooping up the keys and the vase of flowers, she led him to the door and out of the building. He held her hand as they moved quickly through the drizzle to his Panamera, parked at the curb.
After starting the engine and fiddling with the radio stations, Wyatt handed Keeli his phone. “Just scroll through the contacts, or use Siri. I have Rosebud, Ditka’s, Gibson’s and Morton’s all ready for speed dial. Just pick one. They all know my standing order.”
Keeli was thumbing through Wyatt’s contacts list, noticing all the business names interspersed with way too many women’s names. She was feeling overwhelmed, perhaps by the dinner choices but more likely by the women.
The silence stretched for a moment too long before she caught up with what he had been saying and he gave her a quizzical look. She gathered her wits again.
“You have a standing order?” Keeli didn’t try to hide her astonishment. “I have never even been to these places.”
“What can I say? I am a meat and potatoes guy,” he laughed. “Just call Rosebud, it’s easy. Get yourself a steak and sides or a steak salad, which ever you prefer.”
“What do you get?” she asked as he maneuvered easily through the heavy traffic, approaching the Gold Coast neighborhood.
“I get a bone-in sirloin, but you can get a rib eye or filet, or something Italian, pasta or chicken. Just think of what you want, they will figure it out for us.”
Keeli decided to review the menu online while Wyatt drove. She called the restaurant.
“I want an order for pickup please. Wyatt Howe, yeah, he’ll have the usual and I will have the skirt steak salad. Yes, Gorgonzola is fine, thanks. Ten minutes?” She caught Wyatt’s eye, repeated the timing and he nodded yes.
“Yes, good, ten minutes. Thank you.”
“Perfect,” he offered. “Will you need dessert?”
“Why, do you have a standing order with a bakery?” she sniped gently.
“Don’t get smart with me, young lady.” Wyatt responded
in a parental tone. “I will take you over my knee then send you to bed with no supper.”
“I like the ‘send to bed part’,” she retorted, humor lighting her eyes.
“That you shall have, my dear. Your wish is my command.”
“In that case, I would like dessert please,” she responded as a blush climbed into her cheeks. “I have a terrible sweet tooth.”
“Totally my pleasure.” his smile widened indicating his approval as he pulled around the corner of Rush Street and parked illegally in front of the restaurant.
“Do you mind running in? They have a credit card on file, just sign the slip and leave a decent tip, ok?”
Keeli slipped from the car, her mind fixated on how different their lives were, moving to consider the huge number of women’s names stored in his phone, and finally obsessing over her appearance as she walked into the restaurant. She was not appropriately attired for the white tablecloth interior. Keeli felt decidedly out of her element, on every level. How had she gone from the joy of receiving flowers from a sexy, virile man, not to mention post-coital bliss, to this horrible embarrassment and insecurity?
The maître ‘d approached as if Keeli was elegantly dressed saying “How may I help you ma’am? One?”
“No, a pickup order for Wyatt Howe.” Before she could finish saying his name the gentlemen was whisking her to the bar, calling for the order. With a flourish the bartender handed her a receipt and pen. A strange woman signing a credit card was certainly not out of the ordinary for these people. With a slightly shaking hand she calculated a tip and signed his name. Picking up the hot packages carefully, she returned to the car. She needed the reassurance of Wyatt’s admiration for her but instead she found him deep in a business conversation.
“I forgot, ok, I forgot. It’s no big deal. I’ll just reschedule it for tomorrow.” After a minute of hesitation while the other person spoke in his ear Wyatt responded, ”Oh yeah, not tomorrow. Then Friday? I can squeeze it in in the afternoon, right after our lunch meeting, and if we do that the contracts can still be signed this week.”
