Danger followed her. His mate. He would kill to protect her.
His father had placed his faith in him to protect Earth and the brethren here while he returned to Akgon with his queen to restore the balance there. His little sister would rule Akgon someday, leaving it up to Talon now to protect this realm. The silver dragon still lived. Somehow Arwan had broken through the seal Draakar placed on the portal at Window Rock and ran lose in the world once more. Now the bastard stalked his truemate, but Talon had found her first. He breathed a sigh of relief.
His footsteps took him to the back of the platform, stopping only when he stood before her. Slowly, she raised her face toward him, and at last he could see the silver glow of her eyes shining up at him. His truemate.
He held out his hand to her and she placed her smaller hand in his. A glow surrounded their joined hands before expanding to enclose their bodies.
