Sisters of the Dawn's Early Light Page 7

He placed the knife on the edge of the bedside table, and that was the moment Raegan struck out. From a seated position before him, she placed both hands on the headboard behind her, lifted her butt off the bed, and drove a stomping heel kick towards the pig of a man, up smashing her foot into his face.

Surprising herself with how well the move turned out, she watched as he flung backwards over the bed and landed on the floor with a thud. Raegan then grabbed the knife from the bedside table, flung herself on top of the man, and secured the blade firmly against his throat. She badly wanted to take this sick man’s life. “Now who's in charge? Hmm? Who's the big boss now?” she asked, almost spitting the words.

Her attacker tried to grab at her, but the knife cut him during the struggle. His hand sliced open and blood squirted all about the floor, yet he still tried to drive Raegan over to the side. Being much bigger and stronger, he rolled her off with ease. However, he seemed to have forgotten that she still had the knife. He rose up to his feet acting as mad as hell. “You little bitch! I’m gonna beat the crap out of you!” he shouted.

He stepped backwards into the slither of light coming through the door crack from the hallway, and that's when she saw the star tattoo on his head.

Hearing a commotion outside, he looked to the doorway and then back at Raegan. He decided to leave and shot out of the door and down the hallway. Raegan found herself sitting on the bedroom floor, breathing heavily. So much for a good night of sleep, she thought. She could report this to the mayor and his team, and even to the president, but it would do her no good; it would just bring her unwanted attention. She had to suck it up. Replaying the terrible events over and over in her mind, she slept very little for the remainder of the night.

In the morning, the pretty lawyer, now dressed in a dark skirt and silky white blouse, still with her hair tied up and glasses on, made her way to the meetings with Mayor Warns, President Marcou, and the various rich figureheads who had all gathered in Washington D.C. This was their time to witness the renovations that had taken place on the Capitol building and the Lincoln monument. Clones walking about would escort and interview the various leaders here this morning, and most likely well into the afternoon.

Raegan noticed that the president was a creepy, tall man, wearing an ivory suit that had a long tail on the back of the jacket part, and round glasses that looked too small for his face. He always walked about with a sly smirk on his face, and she could tell he thought he was well above everyone else. It was not unexpected on her part. She had seen him before, but he changed each time. Even though he maintained his constant act to appear younger, everyone knew he was ancient.

She attempted to avoid him as much as possible. The same, however, could not be said for the mayor. Seeing him mid-conversation with a group nearby, she listened closely to his voice; the voice with its raspy sound. And then she noticed a star tattoo on the side of his forehead. She swallowed hard and was about to turn away in disgust, but he caught her eye for a brief moment and winked at her.

She felt the pit of her stomach churn. Wesley Warns went on to tell everybody that thousands of hours had been spent in rebuilding and fixing up the massive Capitol building. He proudly explained that all floors were now functional, and all rooms were readily available for the various big shots of the Corporation and local mayor’s team on a weekly basis.

On a giant television screen set up in the Capitol grounds, a Corporation announcement played out. R-Bel News Commercial Interruption Broadcast: Bringing action as it happens. At Y-Wood Corporation, we offer the latest in companionship via our true-to-life, soft-as-human sexual bots. These companions will be drone delivered to your doorstep for privacy, and offer a lifetime of comfort and friendship. Order yours today from Y-Wood, your leader in manufacturing a better tomorrow.

The entire group eventually made their way all about the structure and it truly was, as Raegan now witnessed first-hand, one of the most beautiful buildings left in America. At one point, President Marcou approached the female reporter. Finding herself cornered, she could not avoid him. He looked her up and down, studying her body and her appearance. When he was satisfied with his sexual scan, he asked, “Do I know you?” Raegan shook her head and acted meek like they had never met before. He came closer to her and pushed a handful of loose hair from the front of her face. She could smell his bad breath.

He smiled, showing a set of perfectly white manufactured teeth. “You should do something with yourself," he said as he licked his lips. "Maybe put on a little makeup, let your hair down, get it colored, try to work out a little, and by all means wear something tighter fitting, more sexy.” He smirked at her again, looking at her breasts then down to her stomach and legs. “You have a decent enough figure. You’ll probably find a man, if that’s what you’re into.” He then just stood there and stared at the young woman before him. She felt like a piece of meat on show.

She finally answered, “Yes, sir, I will try and do that one day. I’ve just been working so hard as of late for the Corporation.”

President Marcou nodded and began to walk back to all the big shots, then announced, “All work and no play makes for a dull life, don’t you all think?” He was addressing the entire crew now and many agreed with his notion yet said little else.

Escorted by the clones, everyone vacated the area, boarded a company bus, and headed to the next locale. They passed by a humongous marble obelisk. A guide announced that it had once been perhaps taller than the sky itself. Today, it was crumbled to the ground and lay in a heap of rubble beside the road they drove along.

Mayor Warns explained, “At one time, this was called the Washington Monument.” They drove on by and passed a matching party of robotic soldiers walking the street way.

Eventually, the bus pulled up to another special temple-like monument only a mile or two down the road. Raegan noticed Corporation sky ships constantly patrolling the area directly above as the crowd exited the bus and made their way to the temple.

  Chapter Ten

For the young inspirational speaker, Chaya, such destruction and pain would be a hard pill to swallow for those that were left of the small Connecticut clan. She and her escorts arrived at what looked to be makeshift lodgings; they were not permanent homes by any means.

The group had thrown together all they could to make tents in an even more secluded area, far away from the waterfall. It was a mixture of men and women, some old, some young, none with too much hope on their face. Once they settled in, everyone gathered together and Chaya sat down in front of what looked to be around twenty remaining survivors of the horrible Corporation attack.

“First off, I am so sorry about what has occurred here. Nothing I can say will make it any better. As for the ones you've lost, I'm deeply pained. All I can really offer is the fact that this is happening all too often all over the country. If you don't fall in line and do exactly what the rich Corporation leaders want you to do, they try and force it on you. They don't care about you, they don't care about anything other than themselves."

Chaya then stood and walked about the group. “I want you all to know that my sisters and I are working to change that. At this moment, every single one of us is at work trying to make a difference…trying to gather enough supplies and people, just like you guys.

“Our plan is going to come to together very soon so you have to hold out hope, even in the most dire of circumstances.”

The people around her asked many questions. She had few answers for them, other than the one aspect of where they should now attempt to go and live. She explained, “I want to offer you a safe haven at one of our locations in New York. It’s there you guys will have a chance to rebuild your lives and meet others that have suffered the same fate.”

Discussions went on for quite some time. Even into the evening, they all talked about loved ones, stories of the past, and trying to find hope for the future.

Chaya detailed how to get to the sister’s ho
me base and gave a detailed map of such, explaining that when they were all ready, be it days, weeks, or months, she strongly suggested they go there. There was a huge amount of trust gained with her offering this to the survivors.

The next day, Chaya spoke with the intention to inspire, not just heal. “All the hard times in our lives make us stronger, and they often give us great purpose.” She went about hugging each and every one of those gathered around the morning fire. “My sister, Raegan, always tells us tough times don’t last, but tough people do! You will all have to be tougher than ever before, but we do what we have to do for the children, the one’s that live on.”

That afternoon, it was time for her to head back to Boston where most of the sisterhood lived these days. They had most of their friends and even some family members based at the newest locale. New York base was closer for these survivors, and she left in hope that they would take her up on her offer.

As Chaya traveled away from seclusion, she saw the river that ran from the waterfall where she had first met everyone. There was no doubt she now was heading in the right direction. Interrupting her moment of feeling good about her solo trip back, she heard the sounds of drones in the sky; evidently the search was not completely over in this region. Chaya ran to reach the waterfall itself, yet the drones were fast approaching. They had spotted her.

It was going to be hard to lose them, because the trail back to the main road was open and it would be easy for them to shoot her down. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a man step out from behind the cascade of the waterfall. Dressed in nothing more than a loincloth, his physique was large and muscular. He looked to be of Hawaiian heritage; a tall, gorgeous specimen with black tribal tattoos all over his wet body. Whistling over to Chaya, he was waving for her to come to the waterfall.

The drones were inching forward and began firing at her as soon as she made a move. The Hawaiian man called out to her from her left, “You must hurry! Come to me, throw down your gear and remove all your clothes. You're going to have to make a run for it or you're going to die!”

Chaya didn't know what to think. She raised an eyebrow as she came to a halt. “All my clothes?” she said to herself. She had to be dreaming. Slapping her palm into her face to try and wake up, she soon realized this was no dream when laser beams shot by her, missing by mere inches.

The Hawaiian man moved closer and yelled again, “Throw your stuff down and get all your clothes off…you need to get in this waterfall.”

Chaya slipped out of her hiking clothes and tossed all her stuff to the ground. Taking a blind leap, he grabbed her in his strong, tanned arms, lifted the small Mystical Slayer up, and dashed back to the waterfall.

Beyond the waterfall, he took the pretty woman to a secret grotto. He lifted her out of the water and the two stood naked before one another on a small rock ledge. Chaya was about to ask a million questions, but as she started to speak she became distracted by how handsome he was…and naked. There was no doubt he had all the answers to her questions, but her words remained unspoken. Silently, man and woman pressed their bodies together, her breasts closing in against his strong pecks as he wrapped his muscular biceps around her body. Tracing the outline of the diamond-encrusted piercings on her cheek, he grinned like he approved, for he too had piercings along with his own unique tribal markings all over his sexy body.

With neither holding back, he ravaged her, kissing her deeply and with great passion. As she wrapped her arms around his neck, he lifted her up to his waist and she rode him like a savage beast. Chaya took him inside her, his manhood opening her wide as she moaned with an animalistic outburst of pleasure.

He was so amazing, and she found herself completely lost in the moment; a moment that lasted long enough to be unforgettable.

Later, when the coast was clear, Chaya gathered up her clothing. They both smiled and laughed, still with few words spoken as he helped Chaya to retrieve the rest of her gear from outside the waterfall. Both felt it was an encounter that was simply meant to be. The tall Hawaiian came to her and placed his hands on her shoulders, kissing her forehead softly. “Be safe, my goddess,” he told her.

Chaya stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the lips. “Thank you for saving me, and for taking me. It was…really good,” she sighed. With that, the loin-cloth-wearing tribal man sped off down the trail and out of sight.

The party was getting into full swing now, and a fascinating light show went down in a series of laser effects strobing all about the main dance room. Most people were feeling pretty good and just a tad liquored-up, so inhibitions were out the door as most guests took to the dance floor.

It was not an overcrowded group, but there was a good mixture of both men and women. As it was a private, invitation-only party the dancers were darn good looking, and very rich, thanks to their extra-hot appearances.

Both Jansa and Sinaye spent some time at the bar drinking coffee flavored martinis and scoping out the guests. Neither of the women were into other females; they both liked men, unlike some of the sisterhood members. Sinaye had no problem looking at and pointing out some of the more handsome male guests to her sister, Jansa. In time, both girls went to the dance floor to let off a little steam. They danced to the techno sounds of an upbeat trance music list, put together earlier by Jeffrey himself.

Jeffrey, as he was a major clean water producer in New York via Corporation hiring, would certainly have company clones at the gathering; these spies kept an eye out for any signs of trouble.

Both ladies danced about and had plenty of fun, but they knew they had to be careful and always keep an eye out just in case somebody recognized them and blew their cover.

As the evening went on, many people made their way to different areas of the party. The ladies kept to the central room and headed back to the bar.

On a screen behind the bar, a Corporation announcement played out to the guests at the party. R-Bel News Commercial Interruption Broadcast: Bringing action as it happens. Y-Wood Corporation takes great pride in our nation's security and military prowess. Each individual citizen is embedded with a microchip for train and flight safety identification, and our soldiers watch over the land with a keen eye, never resting or needing sleep. Today, in the year 3015, the world around you is a much safer place.

The screen then went on to advertise that there were private rooms at the party for sex, with both individual and group sessions available. But the girls were happy just dancing, drinking, and making merry as the night went on. A few people hit on them, of course, but none drew either away from the main room.

As they danced once more, a patron came over and slid his body in between the pair, trying to get a cheeky rub up between the sisters. Both Sinaye and her sidekick, Jansa, tried their best to remain civil, but each avoided the uninvited contact as much as possible. Jansa looked to Sinaye. “Try and keep a smile on your face, sis. Just enjoy the music!”

The only man Jansa had noted as being quite sexy finally made his way next to her after several much less appealing choices had offered to dance with her. He was a handsome, dark-skinned fellow with long brown hair that was tied back in a long pony tail.

He was Italian and wore a silk suit with no tie. “May I, young lady?” he asked as he extended a hand to her.

Jansa grinned at her sister and joined him. “I was wondering when you would ask.”

He winked and took her swiftly to the groove of a snazzy jazz tune.

They merged together on the floor and moved into rhythm that Jansa suddenly felt was the sexiest song of the night. After a few more dances, they made their way over to sit by the bar for a much-needed rest. Multiple people were attempting to purchase Sinaye a drink. “Having fun?” Jansa teased Sinaye as they sat next to her.

“Ahh, not so much. Can we move away from this bar please,” Sinaye replied with a sigh.

Jansa pointed to her new-found friend and told him she’d be back soon.

The two sisters moved to a more private area on a white leather sofa in the corner of the dancing room. Sinaye yelled in her friend's ear, “Okay, you're not going to leave me and take off with that guy, are you?”

Jansa’s face lit up with a bright smile. “I don't know yet, but I'm getting a good vibe here.”

Jansa then pointed to the dancing crowd. “Look, just grab a guy, any of them would die to be with you, then we can all find a better area on another floor together.”

Sinaye shook her head. “I'm not interested. I'm kind of doing the celibate thing right now.”

Jansa frowned. "Oh, you party pooper, just fool around and have some fun!”

Sinaye noticed the new guy coming towards them and smiling widely at Jansa. “Here he comes,” spoke Sinaye as Jansa looked up.

But, before either them could say much more, the doors burst open and a squadron of robotic soldiers from the Corporation stormed in.

The leader, dressed in silver and black armor, helmet, and shield, announced, “Nobody move! Everybody back out to the far end of the room, this is a raid. A Corporation law raid.” The girls had no choice but to stand and back up to the rear of the chamber. All the guests joined them.

Meanwhile, Zaey and Lucinda reached the mixed band of people hidden in the mountains of Wyoming. The community had taken up residence in a mine that was miles away from basic civilization, but that meant it had stood the test of time and the relentless searching of the Y-Wood Corporation.

It was here that she would need a fairly large contingent of people, those who had never fallen under the jurisdiction of President Marcou. Well, at least they didn’t in their eyes, the young lawyer now realized. There were children running about freely, a plentiful water supply, food made off the land, and lots of firearms, weapons, and pretty much anything and everything that was supposedly disallowed by the Corporation.

The city people of Wyoming didn't know all that much about this locale's whereabouts, the numbers, or the items. This is where the lawyer in Zaey came into play as they all sat and discussed their situation. It was obvious that the city people wanted them to supply more and more of what they had left over to satisfy the Corporation, or in the end the entire settlement would be shut down or destroyed.
