Bloody Vows

Christian pecks my hand, “Our baby is alive and well. And, it appears that our baby also let our marriage happen, without any incidents.”
I embrace him once again. The flashes of light shoot from different directions at us. Susan gives us the signal to leave, and so we left. I continue to hold his muscular arm, as we safely make it outside together. The paparazzi take pictures of us like crazy, but the crowd throws small flowers at us. We finally make it inside the achromatic limo since the AOM members are pushing the paparazzi back.
Once we make it to our wedding reception, I am breathing a huge sigh of relief, and occasionally glance at the brand new wedding band circling my ring finger. I not only have his ring, but his last name, and his baby growing inside of me. My heart swells with joy. So much joy in which it feels like it’s about to burst. He keeps me close to his side, but I love the way he mashes those lips against mine passionately.
It will seem strange for a while, since my last name is now Hunter. At least it will cut the time off to write his last name now. I will no longer have to carry that long ass last name of Justice-Denali anymore.
We make out until the limousine pulls around the reception hall. This will take place inside another large alabaster with gold dome building.
The door opens. A few male fairies greet us. Two of them have long snowy hair, and they are also taller than I am, “The crowd awaits you two love birds.”
Christian stops making out with me, “Thanks Snow and Ice.”
Snow helps me out of the limo. They are also wearing tuxedos. Their attitudes remind me of Leo and Sam. The back doors open for us. Susan already stands there waiting for us.
Rosalie finds me, and she immediately hugs me, “Congratulations, Jeannie. That was such a beautiful wedding.”
Joey reaches out his hand, and he shakes my husband’s hand, “Not so bad, now is it?”
“Everything is running smoothly, and without any problems,” Susan informs us.
I can feel Christian’s relief coursing through my veins.
Even Joey left his hair down for our wedding. He also has an expression of relief. We patiently wait for the other shoe to drop, but we are doing okay.
Gabriel gently kisses Ember, while he keeps his hand over her stomach, and he has a gentle calmness about him too.
Joey surveys the area, “I believe we are in the clear, buddy. There are no signs of your crazy sister-in-law anywhere.”
Sean walks over to me, and then he helps take the train off my wedding dress. He unclips my veil to exchange it with another. I stand there, while Louie puts the new bobby pins in the new veil. This new veil goes around my hair, and down my back, but it will not trip me. My husband waits patiently until Louie puts in the last pin.
DJ Mike interrupts our public display of affection, by announcing our wedding party. Christian grins at me again, as we wait for DJ Mike to announce our party.
DJ Mike takes his microphone out, “Now it is about that time, to introduce you fine folks, to Mr. and Mrs., Prince and Princess Christian Alexander Hunter! Give it up for this fine ass couple!”
Christian takes my hand, and he gives me a quick peck on the cheek. We walk inside the large reception hall, and it has ivory with gold cloth tables lining up against the wall. There is no way to get around from being the center of attention. He leads me out on the dance floor. I am not as good as Rosalie is, but I will try my best.
We dance for ten minutes. I am so glad when our first dance ends. My feet are starting to kill me. We take our seats behind the table in front of our peers. Willow sits to the right of me, and Alexander sits on Christian’s left.
Chapter 12
A large television screen drops from the ceiling. The screen is a dual plasma screen, in which the characters pop out, as if you can touch them. While we see one side of the screen, our wedding guests can see the other screen too. This is the latest Cirrus, Aduro, and Hunter invention. All of our pre-recorded wedding messages wait for us. We chose to do it this way so that nobody makes a drunk toast live. Supernatural News is airing, not only our wedding live, but also our wedding reception is live.
We wait for a few minutes, and then the screen comes to life. My best friend Ian is the first one to toast, “I just want to go ahead, and say congratulations to the happy couple. I know you both have been through a lot over the past year—or so. To be honest with you, I would have never thought you two would hook up. I know that you, Princess, has been through pure hell, and we have turned your world upside down. I will never forget the day I first met you. You were so scared, but for some reason, you were not terrified of vampires. I thought you would split as frightened as you were. The truth is that you were never afraid of us. You were already scared from what has already happened to you. I know it isn’t easy to walk in on the deaths of your parents. I have no idea the terror you went through back then. But, I am here to say that we are here for you, and we have grown to love you very much. Chris… you can be an asshole at times, but you are a pretty cool asshole. I am thankful that our Princess changed your shitty attitude. Okay… for ass kissing purposes, I will say that you are an awesome boss, and we got your back, man.”
The crowd claps, and whistles at Ian’s toast. Ian walks over to me, and he gives me a big bear hug. His message makes me cry, but he hands me a silk napkin. He kisses my cheek, and then he shakes Christian’s hand.
Zane pops on the screen next, “Hi, to the happy couple. Christian, I have known you for so many years. Thanks for saving my existence multiple times. Also thanks to our Princess, for saving my existence multiple times,” the crowd cachinnates, as he continues, “I often doubted Jeannie. Every single time I doubted her, she has proven me wrong. I said a few things over the year, in which was inappropriate. And for that, I apologize to you, Jeannie. I will state that your DNA piques my interest. I never have been this excited about something, since the invention of electricity.”
The crowd erupts in cachinnates, but Zane finishes, “I am happy and pleased of recent events. I love you both. Thanks for keeping me around.” Zane hugs me, and then he apologizes to me again. I already forgave him for his scientific term. He is a scientist. The word ‘fetus’ is the correct scientific term for baby.
Brennan and Brannon Hayes speak at once, “We are here to congratulate both our bosses. We love you two. We think the world of both of you. We are sucking up, so that we’re not on bloody recon for a year.”
The crowd cachinnates. Brannon continues, “Don’t we bloody need to congratulate them on something else?”
Brennan smacks his brother on the back of the head making the crowd laugh again, “Shut up! That is their bloody secret to tell! Now we will be stuck on recon forever!”
The camera fades. All of us chortle. Christian smiles at them, and then he mockingly points at both of them, as if they are in big trouble. They hug me, and then they hug my husband. The crowd studies us for a few minutes to see what is going on.
Tommy the ‘contradictory’ vampire sits on the screen, “I will pray for the both of you, and the crowns you both possess. I know you have been through a lot and some of it together. I want to congratulate you both. God will give you both the strength to do what is needed.”
The crowd claps. Tommy walks over to us. He pats my husband on the back. If I remember the pecking order correctly, Louie should be next.
I watch him come to life on the screen. He takes the camera off the stand, and then he puts an index finger to his lips. He points to one of the bathrooms that I was throwing up in, at that time.
He chuckles, “That is the sound of my girl. I just want to say this. You are one gorgeous boss. Congratulations on your marriage. I also want to thank our boss for making us work harder now. But… that is okay, because I can’t wait to see what happens next year. I hope you both will enlist my fabulous services to take care of… I mean the hair that will belong to you-know-who. I am so thrilled for this one. You are like our regional beauty queen and king. We are all dying t
o see what the little one looks like.” The crowd gasps. I nervously glance over at Papa. He appears to be in shock.
Leo comes to life next, “I just want to complain that you both are making me work overtime, but it’s for an awesome reason. Congratulations to both of you on your marriage and impending child.”
The crowd whistles, and they gasp again. Christian is in a great mood.
The camera quickly pans to Sam next, “I want to state for the record that I like you both. Congratulations to Chris and Jeannie. I call dibs to decorate the room for the impending little one too.”
I study Papa’s face, and he doesn’t appear happy. He appears even paler than he did a few minutes ago.
Charlie takes over, “You two already know how I bloody feel. I want to say congratulations on your marriage and the wee little one too.”
The camera flips to Erik, “Thanks for being pains in the asses. Congratulations on your marriage. I will not give up my chair for the baby.”
The vampires gasp in shock. Papa scares me, by leaning in from behind us, “Do you two have something you may have forgotten to tell me?”
I glance at Christian, and he takes a huge gulp, “Your granddaughter is pregnant. We forgot to tell anyone, because of our wedding.”
Papa hugs me, “Thank you! I have a new grandbaby on the way,” Papa pauses, and then he adds, “good job, Chris.”
Charlie hands the camera to Alexander, “I want to also say congratulations on your marriage, and my new niece—or nephew. I want to state for the record that Jeannie is newly pregnant. Their wedding plans happened long before their baby showed up. The new baby is just the icing on the cake. I want to speak directly to my new sister. I honestly had my reservations about you, when it came to my brother. I thought my brother was insane and crazy. I fought with him not to see—or even date you. You need to know just how sorry I am for that. I thought you were a lost child. For a second, I thought we would kill Khan, and then you would return home. There were so many thoughts of the wrong things back then. But, there was something off about you, when you pointed to your fangs. We knew then, that you are an unusual hybrid. You are more of a vampire than what we originally thought. You have saved my existence, and saved Christian numerous times. I have grown to love you as much as my brother does. You surprised me, as that terrified girl, who came into our library over a year ago. I never thought that you would save my existence on more than one occasion. Everyone should know that she is more of an Enforcer than the rest of us are. My new sister is fearless, and she loves my brother madly. That is good enough for me. You are far from spoiled and selfish. You have a fierce tenacity, and newfound courage about you. And for which, we love you. All of us eagerly anticipate my new niece—or nephew. I suspect that she—or he will take after you, Princess. Now it is just a simple waiting game. This is to my brother. You know we have been through a lot together, and I love you. Now go enjoy eternity together, because you both belong together.”
Alexander hugs me, and then he smacks his brother hard on his back. Christian moves his face in front of mine. He leans in, and then he mashes my lips with his breathlessly.
The previously taped Papa now plays live on the television screen, “I just want to inform my new son-in-law that I am always watching you. Actually, welcome to the family. You already make my granddaughter happy. When you make my granddaughter happy, that makes me happy in return. To my granddaughter, I am so glad you are adjusting well to who you truly are. I know your marriage will be truly blessed with happiness and joy for all eternity.” His toast is brief, but loving.
“I want to thank Princess Jeannie, for a lot of things. My wife doesn’t even know this until now, but thanks for convincing me to take the job of protecting Rosalie over a year ago. I am appreciative of the both of you, but Chris your wife is the reason why I have my wife today. Now I have a baby on the way. I owe it all to you two. Thanks and peace!” Joey throws up a peace sign to us.
The camera pans over to Gabriel. Gabriel shows up on the television screen wearing a baby-blue beanie. He sighs, and then he shakes his head, “I am going to make this short and sweet. Congratulations to the both of you. May you both spend eternity together with happiness and love.” Joey and Gabriel both hug me, and they pat Chris on the back.
The camera turns around to Ember, “I want to make this short also. I am very thankful to Jeannie. Congratulations to the both of you. I am positive your marriage will be filled with an eternity of happiness and joy.”
Rosalie smiles awkwardly for a moment, “I honestly had no clue what to even say to the both of you. I want to thank Chris, for saving my existence so many years ago. You took a broken girl, and gave her an existence. Now I have an enormous family, because of you. You and the BIB Enforcers will always be my heroes for eternity. To my new best friend Jeannie, you are one lucky woman to have such a wonderful man to stand beside you always. Christian is loyal, and he loves you very much. Now I hope you two can make that baby, you both deserve to have together. I love you both so much.”
The screen goes dark for a few minutes. Christian leans in, and he lightly kisses my forehead. The screen turns back on, and the pre-recorded Willow sits in front of us. She clears her throat, “I want to report that I knew something was going to happen, the moment Jeannie peeked over at my father’s maker. I thought something was up back then, but I had no idea. I can no longer wait to see, what this amazing baby will be and look like. Congratulations to the both of you, and I wish you many happy years together.”
My lips lock with Christian, and the crowd stands up to cheer for us. I actually have my Greek prince sitting right next to me. I thought he would be mad over the announcement of our baby, but he is beaming with love, and he is so proud of our baby. He continues to rub my stomach lovingly. There are quite a few happy cheers for us. I have to break from his belly rubbing, because this newly pregnant mom needs to use the restroom.
I politely excuse myself to use the restroom. Uriel and Raphael stand outside the bathroom door to protect me from would-be kidnappers. The very first stall is the one I chose. The bathroom door on the far end opens. I can hear two women talking in the back of the bathroom. I instantly recognize their voices through their pathetic sobs.
“I refuse to believe he married her! And now they are having a fucking baby together too! I am so angry and hurt! I was hoping they would break up! I should be Mrs. Hunter, and not that fucking hybrid bitch! What is so special about her hybrid pussy?” Tracy practically screams, as a banshee would.
I peek through the crack in the door. I can see Shelly reaching out to hold her. “I know! I am thinking, like, the same exact fucking thing! How could he marry his food? He is smacking our own kind in the face! Now they have this abomination growing inside her fucking stomach! I am so pissed at him! I agree with supporting the hybrid movement, but why fuck those hybrid freaks? Christian is a disgrace to our own race!”
After flushing the toilet, I chose to confront them once—and for all. The worst has already happened to me, and there is nothing either one of them can do to me now. I casually walk up to the sink to wash my hands. While I wash my hands, I purposely make my fangs descend, “You know… I might be a disgrace to my own race, but who the fuck died, and made you two bitches in charge? And yet, you think I’m some kind of hybrid freak? How, am I freak with those horrible last names, you two bimbos chose for yourselves? I am so sorry that Christian has classier taste, than you two ex-porn stars do. Tracy, he saw right through your lying bullshit, and he ditched your dumbass! If I EVER hear that either of you called my baby an abomination again, I will have your fangs, as a set of matching earrings! One day, karma will come, and she will deal her hand to you both. I pray she moves swiftly with her judgment!”
With that said, I left those two bitches to waddle in their self-pity. They can wallow with their delusional selves. It is time to return to who truly loves me. He waits for me outside the bathroom. He has a hand over his mouth laughing his ass off at wha
t I just told his ex-girlfriend. For once in my life, I stand up for myself. I left those two broads speechless.
Christian stands up straight, and then he kisses my cheek, “I am so proud of you. Thanks for telling them off for a change. We will no longer waste any of our time dealing with them. We have to cut our cakes now.”
He holds out his hand, and we stroll to the first cake. Janet and the other photographers take pictures of us slicing the cakes together. The groom’s cake has frozen blood inside of it. The five-tier wedding cake has strawberry cream on the inside of mine. I pick up a small piece of cake to feed my husband his. He fed me a slice of the other cake, and part of his cake. Our glasses clink, and then we kiss each other. The crowd is pleased with our passionate two-minute embrace. Christian pours vermilion champagne into two crystal flutes. “I exchanged the alcohol for blood, considering you are pregnant with my baby. I know you can have a little alcohol, but I am unwilling to take that chance right now,” he whispers softly.
“I understand, and thank you, Chris,” I whisper in return.
My glass is carmine with thick blood, while his is blood champagne. We embrace each other once again, and then we return to our table.
I hug Sam, Charlie, and Erik. All of them take turns kissing my cheeks. The first course is for the angels, fairies, and werewolves. Ransom and Tanya give their speeches for us, since they forgot to turn in their tapes. They complement both of us, and wish us a long existence together. The vampires have the vampire menu. Only hybrid vampires and Big Momma are able to eat from both menus. I am fortunate enough to eat from both plates, and both plates taste so good. The meal ends along with the cakes.
Big Momma has a handkerchief in her hand, and she walks over to me, “Y’all had a beautiful wedding. Thank you for my dinner plates. I can die a happy vampire now,” she pauses, and points at Chris, “you just be sure to take care of my girl right here. No more starving her—or I will come over to make sure she eats. You had better bring my baby over. I am more than happy to babysit your little one.”
