The Kissing Garden

Page 45

by Charlotte Bingham

From that day in the Kissing Garden

Fell not hail, or rain, or any snow,

Nor ever wind blew loudly; but it lies

  Deep-meadow’d, happy, fair with orchard

lawns And bowery hollows crown’d with summer seas.

  THE END
