Out for Revenge Page 8

by Wood, C

I wonder how long it is before you go back to your clubs after a death in the family. I would spend a few weekends visiting the favoured ones and re-acquaint myself to the scene! I purchased the required clothing and the right look for an experienced dominatrix; no longer would I be a submissive for anyone!

  CHAPTER 8

I had arranged to meet Thomas at the hotel at nine o’clock first thing Monday morning; my bruising had healed, well rested. I was nervous about this meeting and anxious to see what he looked like so many years later. He was already photographing the outside of the building when I pulled up at ten to.

I grabbed my bag, folders, and files. Luke followed a few paces behind me. Uncle Harry was being too careful the Hutchinson’s were inside and no chance of bail with two bodies in the back of their warehouse, I was in lucky to be here at all.

“Thomas, pleased to meet you again, it’s been far too long.” I gave him my hand and he just looked at me.

“Carrie, Carrie Wright, is that you? I thought I was meeting your boss Catherine De Droite. I wouldn’t have recognised you, the local rag ran the story, but no pictures, with the story, all about your, abduction and what happened to you at Peter’s hands that day; are you alright now CC?”

“I’m fine Tom, now that my near thirty year nightmare is now over. You how are you? Married, kids?”

“Me fine, no and none. You how many times have you done it and, kids have you any?” I smiled at him; he really was as cute as I remembered him.

“After four years with peter Hutchinson, I married the first man, who was nice to me after him, big mistake, a posh London guy, called Dylan, had twins with him divorced him, when I woke up and realised I’d married a douche who’d shagged his secretary for the most of our married life. Kids stopped with their very rich father.

I married again five years later for a whole year, to a man who managed to empty my bank account of said rich man’s settlement on our fantastic marriage, quicker than he emptied his ball sack into the guests every week; talk about gullible, old and past it and should have known better at my age. Did you really, never meet anyone Thomas?” He laughed I was waffling.

“No, no one ever came close, I lost my heart to a girl, a long time ago, and she fell in love with my brother, never loved anyone after that.” I stumbled into his arms. Not on purpose I fell into the hotel. He caught me and as I looked into his eyes, I realised he still liked me. I blushed, as I had to wonder why I chose Jack over, him.

“Really, you never fell in love with anyone else? We were twelve when you kissed me last time. There has been nobody else in your life, really?” He smiled. He was pulling my leg. I thumped him. “You nearly had me then.”

“Really, I knew who I wanted, way back then and you chose the man whore Jack. I told you he would use you, but you chose him. He was with Sarah and you at the same time. He was with Sarah and Julianne at the same time, and he was with Julianne and Sasha at the same time. All of them whilst you were still all not even sixteen; his wife now is fifteen years younger than him, and another one of my ex’s, such taste I have, that he has to have everyone I like, but you well you I loved.” Oh, he was losing his temper, the vein in his temple pulses when he’s going to bust a gut and shout at me.

“He was a total arse with you, and all the other girls, and all of them including you would fall into bed with him again. I never thought you were the one for him and I was right, but then you went to the idiot Peter Hutchinson, why?”

“I Thomas pay an awful lot of money to a therapist to discuss my abandonment issues, and the woe-is me, attitude I have. I swear Thomas if I told you how much I hated your brother you wouldn’t believe me, as to falling in bed with him, never in a million years, I blame him for Peter.” He looked at me, the disbelief in his eyes, was there again as he said I told you so.

“I have everything I need for now Carrie, I was asked to look at this building ten years ago for the council. I have all the original drawings for the building in all its Victorian splendour; it will cost you quite a bit of money. So Carrie how deep, are your pockets?” I laughed.

“Oh, now I haven’t been called that for a few weeks, Carrie has been missing in action for a while, think she needs to come back, Catherine has served her purpose.” He smiled at me as he headed to his car.

“French, for ‘to right’, what are you aiming to right Miss Catherine De Droite? I will get back to you in the morning with all the things, costing etc. You will need, I can use the original plans, and to keep the costs way down, they are pulling down the old council buildings and I have the bought you the salvage rights to that building too, much cheaper than reproducing the stuff we will need for here.

Your eligible for the green grant the council are throwing around, ten per cent of all building costs they meet, if you recycle and reuse and do all the eco things. The bonus for you, is it was built at the same time as this hotel, by the same builders and yes in the same materials, and being a council building has been well looked after.”

“Thank you Thomas, as always even after all these years you are looking out for me. Even though I don’t deserve it, thank you and please forgive me for breaking your heart, I really didn’t mean to.” He laughed.

“I will see you tomorrow, come to my office at nine, I will work through tonight and have everything ready for you, is it alright to send the salvage crew I to the old town hall today? See you tomorrow at nine, my office?” I nodded and he got in his car, and drove away. My god he was still has handsome as he always was, and why did I leave him for Jack again?

I fancied his older better-looking brother. Really when I had until then, loved the very bones of Thomas, um, he left me alone that night I kissed his big brother and had been funny with me since he kissed me, properly for the first time as a dare. Two years before, and that was a long time, between kisses and he went frosty on me after that kiss too, I thought he might be gay, and my kiss had made him that way?

I was his CC to him being my TT that was my stupid, stupid mistake. I had hurt him for as long as Jack had hurt me, or rather I had allowed the memory of Jack hurt me. He had been intimate with all those fifteen and sixteen year old girls and I wasn’t good enough. I was stupid, and as Tom had told me, he had always loved me I broke down and cried, Luke came to my side and ushered me to the car, telling security to lock the place down I wasn’t coming back for the day.

I gave Luke the week off to visit his wife, he wasn’t sure, but after I rang Harry and told him about my morning with Tom, he authorised the leave. I watched as he pulled off. His son’s birthday was in the morning and he was minding a rich bitch with memory problems and damn screwed up memory problems too. I think the Scalextric, I had put in the boot of the card, and the season tickets for the family to see Manchester United, hidden in his card, would get him some brownie points with young Serge.

Me, I went for a jog in the park, by the estate where I grew up, where Tom and I both grew up. I went armed with my camera; I wanted to see if the tree that we had carved our initials in was still there some thirty years later? I got there and after working out which tree it was I was amazed to see as clear as day TT loves CC and a big love heart.

I snapped away, and as I climbed the tree to get a closer look, I cried. My first proper real tears in years, I’d cried at things the kids had made me and the things they had since done to me and angry tears at my ex’s, but these tears were from the heart and I wondered why I was pouring my soul out to a tree?

  “You following me CC?”

“No, I was here first TT.”

“I come here every day, Carrie.” I blew my nose in the hanky; I was now, joined by Thomas in our tree.

“I once asked you for a kiss on this branch, and you said no, you were a good girl and only bad girls kiss boys. I once asked you to marry me in this tree, and you said, don’t be silly I’m only ten and we can’t get married until we are really old.”

“I said, when I’m sixteen ask me again, and you never
got the chance I was…” I remembered both those times.

“You always broke my heart in this tree CC and still I keep coming back to it.”

“I’m sorry Tom; I was young, stupid and please forgive me and move on. I have made such a mess of my life holding on to something I can never get back.” He was smiling across the limb at me.

“What if Carrie Constance Wright, I can’t let go and this is what I have been waiting for forever? Waiting for you to realise, I have been waiting for you to say yes to me all these years. I have been waiting for you to realise what was best for you, and who has always been the best for you, well since you married me in infant school, and again in junior school, and when you kissed me in senior school, all be it as a dare, egged on by Sarah. I am the best man for you, you were just too slow to realise it, and that I was always going to wait for you CC. Come down the tree and have dinner with me, get to know me again? Please?” For the first time in what seemed like forever, my stomach had butterflies and a chill went through my body.

“You can’t still like me like that? We have both changed Tom, were older and things have happened to change us, we can’t be the same people we once were, Tom I like you and I have to admit seeing you again sort of feels funny, nice funny but still funny.”

“Oh, well that’s good I was feeling it was really feeling quite freaky actually, that it’s been twenty- eight years, six months, and three days, since you broke my heart here, telling me you were seeing Jack, I think funny is an alright feeling CC.” I watched as he climbed down the tree and held his hands up for me to jump down, and as I did I fell into his arms and he kissed me. I felt dizzy; he took my breath away, with his kisses, wow.

“Now that’s a kiss CC, and don’t tell me that’s not the best kiss you have ever had?” I laughed, he would be big headed if I said I had enjoyed the kiss that he had been dare to do in senior school, pre Jack, but that was like nothing I have ever felt before, even his brothers kisses weren’t that good, or they were and I just couldn’t remember them?

“Um, I may have to have a second opinion, you rushed the last one.” He laughed and pulled me in to his mouth. I melted into him, this was sending little pulses of weird and wonderful sensations to my sex, which was pulsing and throbbing in response to his kisses, his tongue finding the sides of my mouth and as I groaned at the sheer pleasure, a tear fell down my cheek. I had found someone who woke me from my nightmare, his kisses were sweet and beautiful and his simple touch of his hand on my back, had my nerve edges throbbing in anticipation, wow, I had and orgasmic sensation from that mind blowing kiss.

  “Wow Tom, that was…”

“It was rather, a nice kiss, and I haven’t started on the other things I want to try on you CC.” I blushed; this man made me blush like the twelve-year-old girl when he kissed me for a dare.

“I will call for you at eight for dinner; I have a place I want to show you.” I was still recovering as he spoke.

“Um, is this a date, as in I’m seeing you your seeing me type of thing?” He laughed.

“Unless you don’t think you could cut the mustard as my girlfriend? Well do you want to give us a try now you’ve given the rest of the idiots a go, see what you could have been having had you agreed to marry me up that tree all those years ago, I meant it then and I still mean it now. ‘All good things come to he who waits. You came back to me for a reason. I say these words to make thee glad, but something answers soft and sad, they come, but often come too late.’ Please CC don’t be late again, I can’t afford to wait much longer we’re really old now CC, I mean to have you here, were you have always belonged, I mean to keep you this time, Carrie Constance Wright, please think about marrying me?” He kissed me again. I think I passed out. I hope I passed out because as I came back round he was holding me in his arms on the ground.

“That was scary, don’t do that again please CC. You said oh god and passed out, is that a bad oh god?”

“I don’t think so, I think it’s why do you still want to do this with me?” He laughed and pulled me to meet his lips again.

“It’s always been you CC, you have been the only girl I have ever loved, and have ever wanted in my life, that way.” He looked embarrassed as a tear fell down his cheek. I put my arms around his waist, and felt his firm body beneath my hands; a fourteen-year-old TT never felt this firm and muscled! He sighed, as I kissed away the tear, his nose touching mine, with the Eskimo kiss, he always did. Then another of those kisses, I was now very moist, in the inner leg area, as we pulled apart, can you really just have an orgasm from a kiss, all be it a mind blowing kiss? Yes, it seems you can, wow.

“Can we try the going for dinner thing first and see where we go from there?” He helped me up, and walked me to his car.

“I’ll take you back to your hotel, and see you at eight, and we take this at your pace, though we have a lot of catching up to do.” He gave me a kiss as he dropped me off.

I was feeling strange yet happy, confused and in what, love or was it lust? I was sodding dazed and confused by it all, he was a friend, a years back in my past friend. Was it even possible, to still be in love with someone all these years later? As I said it to myself, I realised I had been carrying my Jack torch that long, why couldn’t Tom carry his the same length of time? I oh-ed as I realised, TT still loved CC, but did CC still love TT, or was Jack still in the running? Oh, god confused and well confused some more.

  CHAPTER 9

I went to get myself ready, and as I had a nice relaxing bubble bath, I sat and pondered all Thomas had said. I was giving myself a blazing headache, and as I went repeatedly over the things, he had said. I started to smile, I had always liked Thomas; Thomas was the sneaky first kiss, even before his brother got in, he was always my best friend, he was always in my life, until me, dating Jack forced him out of it.

He had waited and he hadn’t been with anyone else. No, he hadn’t been in love with anyone else surely, that was what he meant? I laughed at the thought; I was getting myself a forty-year-old virgin?

Complete with all the years of frustration in side him, all waiting to spill forth into me. I ducked under the water as I laughed oh hell. What was I letting myself in for, I laughed as I played in the water, giggling like a teenager? I dressed for dinner, and as I did my hair the phone rang, I answered it to hear Harry on the line, we had problems with the Raven, there had been a flood, and the flood was a man made flood, or more precise, was Glyn made.

I laughed; they had caught him red handed; he had stupidly used an old guest key to get in another room after flooding his own room. Using the old card alerted security, it had tripped a security flag, unauthorised access, to a guest suite. He had gone to an opened door, a door which was being repaired, and turned on the taps in the bath the shower and sink he had flooded two, top bathrooms straight down to the ground floor.” I was listening in disbelief; I will hang the bastard for this.

“Security found him naked and well he said some weird stuff, about an arc ‘they were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.’ He looked a proper idiot, we have it all on camera, may give you something to smile about Carrie?”

It will mean closing the hotel down. I would have to travel up; and I would have to go tomorrow. Hands on boss meant just that, I was hands on.

“I want him charged, with trespass and for criminal damage; I will have to, to claim on the insurance.”

“He is being held at the central police station and is looking at criminal damage; he can’t be done for trespass, as he booked a room Carrie. He has lost the plot and is spouting the word of god, in the police cells. They want to hold him on some sort of section warrant; apparently, he has found god, he will find my foot up his arse if they let him out. I can send Luke back down for you?”

“No, Uncle Harry I will be fine, please stop worrying. I will be coming with a friend, I want the company lawyer seeing he doesn’t
get off with this, if he does we prosecute for the thefts, in fact do that too, through that in the mix, he was warned and still he came back and I will see you tomorrow.” I waited in the lounge for Tom, and as he took the steps four at a time, I went to the door, and swept into his arms.

“You look fantastic CC, ready? I think you’ll like where we are having dinner tonight.”

“I have a favour to ask you? You can say no if you want, and you really don’t have to say yes, can you come with me to Blackpool tomorrow? I know its short notice, but I need to be there for a couple of days?”

“I can work anywhere, but will this be business or pleasure Carrie?” He laughed, and opened my door for me.

“All business and no pleasure will make CC a very grumpy woman. Besides you can run your eye over the plans the idiot architect as drawn up they are not in keeping with the old hotel at all.” We drove through the countryside, and ended up at a wonderful old country pub.

“This is beautiful Tom; it’s old but new, is this one of yours?”

“It is yes, all mine, it was a burnt out shell, and the attached barn made for an excellent restaurant and the stable blocks made for the bed and breakfast for the owners, this was a pleasure to work on. I’m glad you like it. I love taking something and making, it as good as it was, when it was built way back in the day, yet keeping it fresh and clean. I like retaining as much of the original character of a building and add new focal points for the future.” We were shown to the restaurant were Tom pulled out my chair and kissed my neck.

He ordered a bottle of wine and as we looked over the menus he watched me over his menu, his eyes staring into mine, he looked down the menu and smiles as the waiter came for our order.
