Bill, Leon and Will attack but Andrew was still on the floor. Andrew was dead after the fall he took from the machine to the top of one of the crates. The remaining men of the Four Horsemen try to attack our heroes but the ion affected their weapons to the point where they were useless. Maine took a shotgun and shot Leon nearly killing him. Luis uses a machine gun and mercilessly shoots Will until the gun runs out of bullets.
“Bill I’m about to do something that I should have done a long time ago and that’s to finish you off for good. Bill you lose! See you in hell!”
Angel shoots the devastator weapon and the explosion from the heat-seeking missiles blows Bill into pieces.
Luis says to Angel, “You know if we turn back time Bill will be back, right?”
“No I been informed by the Elder God that once I put the anti-matter ball inside the machine I’ll have the power to bring back everybody who I want back, while the others will be transported to the netherworld for all of entirety. I’ll have the power to make sure Bill can never come back to cause anymore harm and I may just do the same to my uncle.”
Maine responds, “Sounds crazy, so will Dayvon come back?”
“Of course he’s coming back. He’s part of the crew. I can’t let him rot with the evil doers. There are now two more desperados to catch, Iván and the big chief himself Carlos.”
Chapter 19
Finding Iván
Angel along with Luis, Maria and Maine get through the Four Horsemen but there was still the matter of catching Iván. Angel was about to head towards the front of the plane where Iván probably had his best bodyguards guarding him.
The heroes head out of the cargo room further into the plane where the luxury rooms were located. A group of high ranking henchmen come out to attack our heroes. The combined effort of the heroes makes it pretty easy to clear the hallway. The four of them head into a bar/restaurant area.
Angel says excited, “Now this is more like it, nothing better than a firefight in a bar, just like the Wild West.”
Each of the four find cover and pick off the henchmen that come out who were armed with AK-47 assault rifles. A few of them lobbed grenades as well, which was tearing the place up. Bottles were breaking, food was flying all over the place and tables were being torn apart. Despite all this the plane suffers no damage on its exterior. One of the grenade blasts takes Angel down along with the evidence. Iván who is half drunk come out of nowhere and takes the evidence from Angel. The other three finished killing off the rest of the enemy.
Angel says frustrated, “That bastard Iván took the evidence without that we’re toast. We gotta catch this dude.”
Angel and the others give chase to Iván, but Iván’s guards hold back the heroes before they could get too close. The heroes were now in a casino with a large group of henchmen ready to attack. Our heroes pick off the enemies one by one until the room was cleared, Iván tried to get a few sneak shots, but because he is half drunk the bullets miss our heroes badly. Angel, Maine, Luis and Maria continue to give chase to Iván and continue to kill any guards who stand in their way. They were now in a nightclub/dancehall. Angel comes up with a clever way to take out some of the guards in the area. He shoot’s the chandelier which was huge and it falls on top of some of the enemies. Maine shoots the speakers by other guards in the area; the blast is big enough to blow the enemies away. Luis and Maria snuck around the other guards and took them out from behind.
“There’s no escaping Iván, I’m going to find you ass!”
Angel along with his teammates continues deeper into the plane until they see Iván in the middle of a massage room along with elite guards who were guarding him.
Iván still half drunk says, “No funny move or your friends gets it. Just put your guns down and surrender.”
“Surrender to a slimeball like you, I don’t think so!” Maine says angrily
“Hold on that’s Quentin, ok Iván we’ll surrender. Listen my friends trust me on this one”
“Ok Angel if you have a plan, besides we can’t lose Quentin.” Luis replies
Angel makes hand signals for Maria to throw an ion ball at Iván to blind him. Maria slowly puts her right hand towards her leg while kneeling down. Then Maria grabs the ion ball outside the view of any of the guards or Iván.
“Now that wasn’t so hard, now was it? Now if you would follow me…” Iván acting all cocky and drunk.
Maria throws the ion grenade and blinds Iván for enough time that Angel could get to Quentin to untie him. Iván runs out and orders the guards to kill our heroes. Angel continues to untie Quentin while the others distract the guards. After Quentin is untied, Angel helps out his fellow teammates and kills the guards that had Quentin hostage.
Angel tracks Iván through the liquor that he was drinking; it was a rather strong rum. Angel tracked the smell and it led him to another cargo area. Angel spots Iván and this time there was nowhere for Iván to run.
“Ok Iván are you going to fight like a man or should I just kill you on the spot.”
“Well it will be just me and you!”
Iván pushes the button which drops a cage that surrounds Maria, Luis, Maine and Quentin.
Iván says while grabbing a flamethrower, “Hahaha now that I made sure there is no interference, lets get this party started!”
Iván shoots his flamethrower trying to burn Angel but Angel is able to get out of the way. Angel tries to shoot Iván but misses. Iván activates a trap that drops a crate on top of Angel, Quentin warns Angel of it. Angel runs as fast as he can to avoid the crate and he barely avoids the crate from crushing him. Angel tries to use his devastator but thinks twice worrying he may hit his friends with friendly fire. Iván shoots his flamethrower and Angel hides under a metal crate. Although the flames are not hitting Angel directly, Angel does feel the heat continuing to build. The metal crate was starting to turn red almost to the point of melting and the temperature was rising quickly. It gets to the point of discomfort and Angel starts to feel burns on his skin.
“Aww what’s wrong you can’t handle the heat?” Ivan taunts Angel.
Angel pops up and shoots Iván in the leg and he lets go of the trigger on his flamethrower.
Iván walks to a switch which opens the drop door and says, “If I can’t burn you, I’ll just have to drop you off!”
Iván lets go of his weapon and so does Angel. This would be determined by melee combat. The two exchanged punches and kicks, but neither one budged. The wind started to pick up and vacuum the cargo down. Iván and Angel move away from the hole to avoid getting sucked away. Angel strikes Iván with a punch to the stomach and Iván strike Angel with a kick to the face. Both of them are down and both start to get sucked into the hole. Angel gets up first, Iván tries to bull rush Angel, but Angel side steps and Iván ends up falling through the hole to his death. Angel heads to the switch to close the drop door and to break his friends free from the cage. The evidence was located by the cage. Iván must have dropped it foolishly due to him being drunk. Angel finally had the evidence back in his hands.
Angel in his head says, “Well Iván is falling six feet under where he belongs!”
The plane began to speed up out of nowhere and by the feel of things it was ready to make a crash landing.
Iván opens the hatch door and Angel sends Iván to hell falling to his death. Now reunited with the others, Angel has to make sure that the plane lands safely.
Angel and the others head towards the cockpit. Angel has Quentin and Maria stay in a room until the coast is clear. Angel, Luis and Maine headed for the cockpit. Upon arriving at the cockpit Angel sees the pilot is injured. Angel checks the pilots pulse and hears nothing.
“Guy’s were in some shit now, pilots dead and this plane is ready to crash! Who can fly a plane here, because I sure can’t and the autopilot is locked.”
Maine answers, “I can at least with smaller planes but I’ll do the best I can here.”
“I’ll live with that at least we ha
ve a chance to survive. Crap!” Luis answers
“What’s wrong with the both of you?”
“The gears are locked that’s what’s wrong. We have to override the locks before you can even land this puppy.”
“According to the map there’s one console in the front and one in the back. If we activate those controls, which should override the gears, once that’s done Maine can land the plane. We gotta be quick though this plane is taking a nose dive right for the ocean!” Angel rushes the plane due to time constraints. “I’ll take the back and Luis you’ll look for the console in the back.”
Luis studies the map and heads for the console which is by the casino area. Before he gets to the console he gets thrown into the blackjack table. Despite that he is able to get right back up and override one of the gears.
Angel heads backtracks back to where he started from. The console was in the same hallway where the window was broken. Angel enters the hallway and immediately the wind hits him in the face like a bolt of lightning. Angel gets thrown away at first, the wind is much stronger as the plane continued to gain speed on its descent. However was determined to get to the console, but it was more that it had to be done rather than Angel wanting it to be done. Angel fights with the wind, lifts up his right hand reaching for the console. After a bit of struggle Angel is able to reach the console and hit the button to override the other gear.
Maine sees the two gears are unlocked, so he begins to guide to plane back to normal. Angel and Luis head to the room where Quentin and Maria were located to warn them that the landing maybe rough.
Maine says, “We should be fine, we’re probably gonna land somewhere on Long Island, but at least we’ll be alive.”
“That’s right at least we’ll be back on solid ground and we can plan out our next move.” Angel responds.
Maine steers the plane back to the island and sees an empty field ahead. Maine tries to slow the plane down but the gears lock again.
“The gears are locked again, everybody get down! It’s going to be a crash landing!”
“Everybody into the room, it’s too dangerous anywhere else with the loose objects.” Luis guides everyone down in anticipation of the impact.
Everybody heads to the ground as the plane crashes into the ground and our heroes are thrown to the other side of the room. The plane lands on the field and everyone is ok. More importantly Angel still had the evidence in his hands and the anti-matter ball. Now it was just the matter of finding a reporter to make the evidence public to turn the tables on his uncle Carlos and finding the anti-matter machine. Everyone is able to get off the plane way before firefighters are able to make their way there. Then they “hitch” a ride, Angel holds the driver up with his gun declaring he was law enforcement and along with the others drives off.
Maria says, “I never knew your uncle could be so cruel and conniving like he has proven to us.”
“I know baby, it’s amazing that my own family could stab me in the back or try to ruin my life. This man is determined to ruin my life whether is to kill my family members, destroy my marriage or frame me! All I can say is he was always the most crooked man in the family. I just didn’t know it would go to this extreme or involve murdering family members, even his brother and nephew! It ends tonight!”
Maine asks Angel, “Who you going to give the evidence to?”
“Don’t worry, I know somebody who happens to know Reggie Clark rather well. To sweeten the pot he is the god father of my uncle’s son. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind doing a favor for a fellow honest family member.”
Quentin adds, “Hopefully so.”
Maine guides the plane back towards Long Island and onto an empty plain. The four heroes borrow a ride from an unlucky driver on the highway. Angel vows to make sure Carlos is unsuccessful in his plans and seeks revenge for what he has done. Angel was going to make a call to his uncle’s son’s godfather or Angel’s nickname for him “Compi. He happens to know Reggie Clark personally and could give him the evidence. Then Reggie Clark could make the evidence “the story of the century” on news outlets everywhere.
Final Area - Going Back Home
Chapter 20
To Catch a Dirty Cop
Angel and his fellow teammates survive the plane ride and find themselves back in New York. Angel decides to try to call his uncle’s sons godfather. Angel calls him…
A man’s voice is heard over the phone saying hello. Angel says, “Hello compi it’s Angel, how’s everything?”
Compi says with a heavy Puerto Rican accent, “I doing well, you wanna come over. I told you already you don’t have to call. You’re always welcomed to my house and my wife is crazy to see you as well!”
“Perfect I’ll be there in about 20 minutes!”
Compi lived in Floral Park, NY about 20 minutes away from where our heroes had landed back in Farmingdale, NY. Angel, Maria, Luis, Maine and Quentin drive to Compi’s house. They arrive at Compi’s house to be greeted by Compi and his wife, who are only happy to see Angel. Angel asks if he minds his friends come in or if they could hang outside.
Compi says cheerfully, “Ah come on Angel of course your friends are welcomed to come inside. Now I got somebody to share my beer with and play dominoes with.”
Compi’s real name is Cecilo and he is an army veteran. After his career in the army, he decided to get into journalism. He has always seen Carlos to be a crooked person, but out of respect for his godson Cecilo never so any atomicity towards Carlos. He was in his mid to upper 50’s, about the same age as Carlos.
Cecilo’s wife Milagro was only happy to see Angel, in fact considered Angel her second son.
“I appreciate the love and sure I’ll take a beer. Anybody want a beer?” Everyone answers yes to the question.
“Listen Cecilo I wish I was coming here on better terms but I need a favor from you.”
“Do you need money, I got you right now.”
“I’m flattered but that’s not the help I need, you see this folder? It contains evidence that the father of your godson is up to no good. He killed my brother, tried to frame me for the murder of Frank Kelly and wants to take over NYC. I know it’s going to be hard for you to believe but once you see the evidence you’ll understand.”
Cecilo looks at the evidence and says in shock, “My god I knew this man was crooked, but I didn’t think he would resort to murder and blackmail.” Cecilo nearly faints when he is reading the evidence. “What’s this? He’s made a contract with aliens so he could take over NYC. I had no idea this man was capable of these things. What do you expect me to do with this evidence?” Cecilo knew that Angel came for business not pleasure.
“I know its tough to swallow but it’s black and white as you see it. You know Reggie Clark right?”
“If you’re talking about the news reporter then yes I do know him. I’ve known him since he started his career.”
“Yup that’s the Reggie I was asking about, listen I need you to call him. Deliver the evidence or whatever you have to do so he gets the evidence. I’m sure Clark can cook up a mean story with this evidence and it will shoot his career off. If I have to pay you I will, but whatever you do don’t give this evidence to the police, they’re in on this. You think you can do this for me?” Angel carefully crafts his proposal to Cecilo.
“Angel I have to tell you something. We’re not the real Compi and Comi like on Earth, we’re clones made in this virtual world.”
Angel and the rest are in shock to find out that they were talking to clones not analogues. Angel says “No he got you too, that son of a bi…”
Cecilo cuts Angel off saying, “Don’t worry even though we were programmed and ordered to do what Carlos told us to do, we retain the same characteristics as our analogues back on Earth. In otherwords we still have a heart and my heart wasn’t set on helping Carlos out. We had to hide out here. Carlos threatened our lives because we refused to help him.”
Luis asks, “The question is, can we trust you?”

“Yes you can, actually on the inside I want Carlos to suffer. You see he tried to rob my house from right under my nose, but like I said I didn’t pursue any further action because of my godson.”
Maria asks Cecilo, “Is your godson in the virtual world or not.”
“No the poor kid is on Earth blind to the fact his father is up to no good. He thinks that his father got the promotion to commissioner because he earned it.” Cecilo feels pity for his godson who has been living a life full of lies. This was one secret that could destroy his godson.
“I’m going to call Reggie Clark to come over here, it’s far too dangerous to go and get him. Who knows if Carlos will find me? If I know Carlos well he will go to the extreme just to get what he wants. He has always been a bully.”
Cecilo calls Reggie Clark and Clark answers the phone.
“Hello Cecilo how can I help you tonight?”
“I have a family member who has a story that will put you over the top. How fast can you come here?”
“I’m on in two hours, I can stop by. Any news is good news for me.”
Reggie Clark comes in his news van and parks it in front of Cecilo’s house. Clark comes in and greets everybody.
“So what is this hot story you want me to do?”
Angel says while giving the evidence to Clark, “Here it is, it may be hard to understand at first, but I promise I’m sure you take a few minutes you’ll understand everything. Just call it “The Story of the Century”. All I need to know is how fast you can get the story out.”
“I’ll have by the 10’clock newscast is that ok?”
“That’s perfect! I need to go back to the Marriott anyway. Carlos is sure going to be there. There are a few loose ends I need to finish tying up, like making sure this guy goes behind bars. Quentin I need to drop you off at Virtual Labs so you can reformulate the ball, it’s just the matter of finding the machine now.”
