The Thousand Years War: The Trilogy

“That’s a great idea Angel! Go for it!” Quentin says great enthusiasm.
He shoots down the fighters attacking from above, somersaulting when needed if he was being attacked from behind. Then he concentrated his fire on the ground troops, killing salamander troopers and iguana enforcers in the process. He then begins to search for a way to destroy the base, but he finds nothing on top of the building. Angel decides that he might just give up on looking for the core of the building, until Quentin tells him it’s under the building. However Angel has already passed the building and the lack of gravity prevented him from going back.
“It’s no use Quentin I can’t go back.” Angel says until he feels his ship heading backwards. “Hey wait a minute, why am I going backwards?” Angel begins to panic as he is being pulled backwards by a black hole. “Oh shit a black hole!” Angel tries to speed away, but he begins to exhaust the rocket boosters.
“Hey look on the bright side at least you can shoot the core now!” Quentin says happily.
“Quentin can I say something?”
“What Angel?”
“Are you that much of a dumb ass, who gives a hell about the base? I’m about to get swallowed by a black hole damn it!” Angel screams in disapproval.
Angel gets pulled in even closer to the hole and he uses his rocket boosters to their limit until they give away. Angel prays that the black hole dissipates and he won’t get pulled in. Then Maria’s face appears in front of Angel’s ship.
“Maria is that you? Oh no it’s her spirit, but how did you know I was…?
“Just shoot the core; I’ll take care of the rest! No time for explanations!” Maria’s spirit enters the ship and gives it the extra push it needs to escape.
The building crumbles behind Angel and the black hole swallows the building before eventually dissipating. He just saw his life flash before his eyes, as he is bailed out yet again by the spirit of his wife. Angel sees one last building ahead of him and then he would be scott free to Fortuna.
“Angel I’m a spirit I know where you are at all times and as long as you’re faithful and full of good intentions I will always protect you. It’s just like when you protect Maria.” The spirit says.
“I haven’t done a good job lately. She’s trapped in Uranus and I have no idea if she is fine. She should have come with me like a true husband and wife team.” Angel says with his head held down.
“Lift your head up, it’s not your fault. You have to learn how to do things without each other because not all things in life can be done as a couple. Also Maria herself has to be just as strong as you are. As long as you keep the faith alive your wife will remain alive, trust me!” The spirit says calmly to Angel. “Now I must go, I wish you the best of luck through the rest of your journey! You shall see me again!” The spirit disappears into space.
After that Angel heads through the final part of the enemy space base. He just goes crazy and shoots everything in sight, feeling the renewed sense of energy he just received from Maria’s spirit. Then he had reached the end of galaxy Y and made his way to Fortuna.
“Man that is one crazy galaxy that I won’t ever forget!” Angel says in his head.
However out of nowhere a couple of samurai robots head towards him shooting in his direction. He is caught off guard by the robots as one of them nearly “kicks” his ship.
“Damn I knew it was too good to be true. Well the gloobas weren’t going to make it easy!” Angel prepares for battle.
He shoots the robots while flying his ship away from their attacks. He became particularly good in flying the ship, that’s because he had to get better or he would be lost in space. He is shot, but this time on his left wing, weakening the ship even further. However he remains strong and he manages to take out one of the robots. The other robot tries to surprise he from behind, but he sensing the robot summersaults and shoots the robot destroying it. He thinks he’s home free, but yet another battleship heads towards his direction. Then a white samurai robot with a huge shield comes out of the battleship.
“Don’t party just yet!” The robot operator says cockily in a Jamaican accent.
“Oh come on now the aliens are using Jamaicans, this has got to stop! Come on boy, come get some!” Angel says towards the operator who went by the name of Marley. “Well “Marley” I’m sure Bob Marley wouldn’t be happy you chose his name as your own. However it’s time to dance!”
Angel gets a few shots in, but they are eaten up by the robots shield. Angel is then shot again, this time disabling his boosters. He doesn’t give up on the robot, but notices many of his shots are missing the robot.
“What’s wrong, is that it?” Marley says arrogantly having the upper hand.
Angel continues to shoot Marley, but the shield continues to eat up the lasers. That is until the shield is broken off.
“Ha! There goes your big bad shield now!” Angel says to Marley.
Angel continues to shoot Marley and he hits hit at a good clip until Marley spin around Angel. Marley kicks off the right wing of Angel’s ship completely. His ship begins to lean more towards the left, now that the pressure has been applied to the left side. He has to adjust his flying for the lost wing. He continues to shoot Marley and shoot’s off his ray gun. Marley doesn’t take too kindly to losing his ray gun, so he kicks off Angel’s left wing. Angel now has no wings supporting him. He continues to shoot Marley and trying to keep the ship up despite having no support on the wings. Eventually after a long battle he is able to defeat Marley and the samurai robot explodes along with Marley.
“Arrgggghhhh!!!!” Marley screams.
“Well that’s that, oh shit I lost my wings and I’m taking a nose dive towards Fortuna!” Angel begins to craft a last minute idea.
“Crap Angel there isn’t much I can do to help you, besides say prepare for a crash landing. Just pull the steering wheel back and keep it there and hope that you land the ship on its bottom.” Quentin replies.
Angel holds the steering wheel and tightly as he can. He prepares for what will be a crash landing and does a little prayer. The ship goes at a top speed of 500mph as it heads for a nose dive to Fortuna.
“Oh my God, it’s now or never. Only God can see what will be my fate…” Angel prepares for impact to Fortuna. Will the ship land safely and will he escape safely? Right now with the exception of Luis, the journey has been a rough one for our heroes and all seems lost. However will the journey end in despair? The Earth is in jeopardy, with the fate being held in the hands of our heroes.
Chapter 8(L)
Mars
Luis who doesn’t know that his teammates all are in trouble heads for Mars. The next gravity tower is on the surface and he sees the red planet up ahead. He shoots down the alien space ships in the airspace and he has no problem landing his ship on the red planet. He finds a landing spot not too close to the glooba activity and he calls Quentin to give his update.
“Hey Quentin I’m on the red planet. What’s the low down on this place, what I need to get done here?”
“Well there are a couple of gravity towers obviously. There are also several human hostages, mostly kidnapped space workers and astronauts. However there are also civilian hostages as well held inside a prison. Looks like the gloobas have built a small city of their own as well and are in force.” Quentin explains calmly. “You need to save those hostages; there is no telling what these aliens will do to them!” Quentin says hysterically.
“Believe me I know, turn them into glooba soldiers. Well this recruitment session comes to an end today. It’s time to give these aliens a dishonorable discharge. How are the others doing?”
“Ugh, I wish I had better news Luis.”
“What do you mean Quentin?” Luis asks as he prepares his laser rifle.
“Maria and Dayvon are in Uranus, but I lost communication with them so I have no idea where they are. You’re close to Uranus so you may have to make a pit stop there to see if they’re ok. As for Angel he was heading for Fo
rtuna, but his ship was damaged badly and is currently on a crash course towards Fortuna!”
“Damn I think it may have been a bad idea to go separately. I had no idea the gloobas were this loaded with traps and troops.” Luis replies to Quentin. “Angel… Maria… Dayvon… Where could you guys be, I hope you guys are alive.” Luis says in a down tone, nearly crying. However he holds in the crying and realizes he can’t control what happens to the others. He needs to concentrate on the mission at hand.
Mars is red in nature and that’s due to the nature of the red soil. The gravity is slightly weaker than on Earth causing Luis to float a bit. There are many hills and rivers of ice. The features are ideal that with some terraforming Mars could become the next Earth. However he also bumps into glooba plants such as Venus flytraps and poisonous alien plants. Ahead of Luis is a small glooba city that has been built, which is already populated. With these things in mind he feels the intention that is that the gloobas want to populate Mars as their second planet.
Despite his hardened attitude and demeanor even he was emotional when he found out his friends are lost, lest they be dead. The four of them had been through so much in just the matter of one and a half years.
He is greeted with flying salamander troopers, who he takes down with ease. Luis with his cocky attitude nearly gets caught by a Venus flytrap. The flytrap nearly bits him, but he uses a grenade to blow up the Venus flytrap. He continues on his route towards the city until glooba hoverships begin to attack him from above. He dodges the shots being shot in his direction. With the lack of gravity on Mars he is able to jump up to the hoverships and take out the pilots. He hops on to one of the hoverships. A dust storm begins blinding him, but luckily it only lasts for a few seconds. He begins to make a b-line for the glooba city.
A horde of aliens including salamander troopers, iguana enforcers and boar cops approach Luis. He makes mince meat out of the aliens shooting them with the hovership. Then several scorpion crawlers’ pop out of the ground as Luis approached a hill similar to that of an ant hill only much larger. He’s able to shoot the majority of the scorpions down. Several of the creatures try to spit poison at him, but the protection of the ship plays into his favor. A scorpion is able to jump onto the hovership and nearly stings Luis with its tail. However Luis is able to shoot the scorpion’s tail causing the scorpion to fall to the ground.
“Man these guys are everywhere, without this hovership I’ll probably be a dead duck. There goes the city up ahead!” Luis says to himself.
“Luis wait don’t go straight in just yet! If you do…” An alarm goes off as Luis crosses the cities borders. “Ah never mind you know what’s about to happen…” Quentin stops as he is late in warning Luis about the alarm.
“Crap now he tells me, no matter. If I gotta cause collateral damage to this city, so be it! It’s not like this city is ours anyway, let’s rock and roll.” Luis says as he enters the city despite attracting the attention of the gloobas.
Mixed glooba troops come out of the buildings to shoot him down, but their efforts prove unsuccessful. There are also aliens that try to shoot him down from the top of buildings and from building windows. The buildings are of glooba architecture, with glooba grass on the smaller buildings. Other buildings such as the high rises are sliver in color and contain glooba vines that have the ability to catch him. He has to fly the hovership well away from the vines off the buildings and what glooba building wouldn’t be complete with out camouflaged turrets. He ignores everything and heads straight for the building where the hostages are located. Out of nowhere two owl commanders come towards his direction.
He turns his head and begins to put the ship on overdrive to escape the owls. However the owls prove to be too fast for Luis, he then tries to shoot the owls down. He gets one of the owls to go down and crash into a glooba building. The second owl shoots a rockets towards his direction, he has no time to escape so he pushes the eject button and he is ejected from the hovership before it is completely destroyed. He lands on the ground hard. He knows he is close to the towers because gravity is much greater at his current location. There is still the matter of the owl however and to make it worse another owl appears. He goes in hiding in an alleyway.
“Thought I would never see myself in an alleyway in Mars, hmm a hotel maybe the hostages are inside there. Now if I could just to avoid those owls.” Luis says in his mind.
He runs across the street for the hotel entrance, but he slips on glooba grass and falls down. The owls spot him and begin to shoot rockets towards his direction. He quickly gets up and dives forward before the rockets are able to land. Then one of the owls begins to flap its wings vigorously pushing him to the other owl on the other side. The owls are ugly by just looking at them plainly, but the fact their wings have spikes on them make them even more intimidating. He is faced with one of the owls and his face begins to sweat. Luis grabs his trusty shotgun waiting for the right moment to shoot the owl commander. As the owl was ready to open its mouth to eat Luis, he shoots his shotgun right into the owl’s mouth killing it. He heads back to the other side of the road and uses his plasma cannon to take out the second owl.
He feels a sudden rush of adrenaline in his body that he is invincible as he rushes in the hotel saying, “Come on gloobas is that the best you guys got!”
As he enters the glooba hotel he sees the reception desk and the lobby. As he expected the lobby is filled with gloobas, mostly with boar cops. He takes care of the few salamander troopers with ease and he uses their shadow blade to decapitate the boar cops. The scene is so bloody the room turns from alien green to bloody green. The lobby looks like any other lobby minus the glooba grass walls and plants. He even bumps into vending machines like on Earth. Only thing is that these machines don’t have potato chips and soda. Instead these machines have plutonium, human parts and blue goo.
“I guess that’s the gloobas diet when it comes to dessert. I would hate to find out what their entrée is.” Luis says.
“Shut up Luis, you’re making my stomach turn just thinking of that!” Quentin says to Luis in disgust.
“Hmm one night 50 glooba dollars, two night 100 glooba dollars and 200 gloobas for the glooba special. There are special discounts available for humans!” Luis reads a sign in the lobby “Oh I don’t even want to know what the glooba special is. Looks like these guys are planning to take over the universe with their kind, well not on this man’s watch!”
“More the reason why you need to stop lolly gagging and get to the rooms, there is bound to be human hostages held inside.”
Luis listens to Quentin’s orders and heads upstairs to the rooms. He meets a couple of scorpion crawlers in the hallway who try to ambush him from behind. One of the scorpions jumps on his back, but he is able to overpower the scorpion and blast it with his laser rifle. The other scorpion tries to spit at him, but he is able to bend backwards avoiding the spit and shoot the scorpion at the same time.
Luis walks into one of the hotel rooms and finds something disturbing. There are no beds or even draws like regular hotels.
“What the fu...? What in the hell is this, alien pods with blue goo being put into the pod. This is not a damn hotel; this is a damn rat trap. This is where the hostages are taken to become… No! It can’t be these humans are turning into gloobas, oh God no! Their skins are turning into lizards and pigs.” Luis says in disbelief almost vomiting at the scene.
The pods open up and the humans have turned into gloobas by means of the “devil juice” or liquid plutonium. Luis faces a couple of boar cops and iguana enforcers. With the exception of shotgun fire from the boar cops the aliens go down rather easily. What makes it hard for him to get over is that he just killed aliens that only a few moments ago were human.
Luis says angrily, “This has gone too far, shit now to find where the hostages are really being held! There is going to be hell to pay that is for sure!”
Luis then sees a sign written in glooba writing and while he couldn’t unders
tand the writing the map next to it gave him a visual aid of where the hostages were. The map also gives him the location of the twin gravity towers and ships that could be used to transport the people back to the safety of Earth. According to the map the hostages were held in a warehouse used to make the gloobas hovership and tanks. It was also a weapon storage area for the gloobas. He decides not to waste anymore time in the hotel and heads for the warehouse. As he gets outside he goes by city hall and a post office. Yes a post office for aliens, you heard right. The postal workers don’t take too well to Luis passing by and they attack. They are salamander troopers in postal uniforms; despite all that he is able defeat the aliens easily.
“Now that’s going postal, I wish I could send the corpses of these alien scum first class to Goo to give the emperor the scare of his life.” Luis says jokily while continuing to walk.
Luis continues to tread towards the warehouse with the occasional space/dust storm or alien groups. He finds himself in the front of the warehouse and sees a group of sentry drones pop out.
“Oh boy metal bombers!”
Luis takes out several of the bombers with his weapons, but decides to use the low IQ of the sentry bombers to have them explode on contact by moving out of the way before they exploded.
“Ah… They haven’t learned their lesson; they’re just as stupid as before.” Luis says arrogantly.
“You think we’re stupid huh?” An alien voice says to Luis.
Luis turns around only to see a BattleGlooba ready to attack.
“Great day in the morning! I wasn’t expecting that!” Luis heart almost drops in shock once he sees the BattleGlooba.
The BattleGlooba wastes no time shooting its huge chaingun, which causes Luis to run for his life and hide behind a building. He sees he has limited ammo for his plasma cannon and his laser rifle. BattleGlooba launches mortar rounds towards the building he was hiding behind. The building collapses and he has to get out of the way, lest he be crushed.
