Running Away (Finding Your Place Book 2) Page 25

by Rebecca Barber

I’m one of those lucky ones.

I have people in my life who’ve done that for me and I can never thank them enough. They know who they are, though. Hopefully I tell them often enough.

The people who I need to make sure know how much I appreciate and love them though, those are the people in this crazy book world who’ve not only taught me everything I know, but they continue to wrap their arms around me and hold tight in my moments of doubts (which unfortunately there are too many).

So, thank you. I love you. I appreciate you. And I could not have done this without you. Allie Able, Becca Taylor, Melissa Teo, Lizzie James, Sophia Valentine, Stephanie Gerard, Gloria Herrmann, Iris Blobel, Amanda Mackey, Kat Masen, Jodi Perry, Toni Rakestraw, Lori Whitwam, and I can’t forget the beautiful Belle Brooks.

Kathryn Dee (AKA KatDeezigs) you take my words and turn them into incredible pictures, it’s truly freaky how you can see inside my head and bring my words to life. For everything you do for me―sharing your incredible talent, your unwavering guidance, your unrelenting encouragement, your overwhelming support and just tolerating me when I’m mid-freak out, I can’t thank you enough. I love you and appreciate you more than I can ever express.

And Robert. You’re exactly the person I need beside me while I ride this crazy train (with the above-mentioned women).

Lastly though, to anyone who reads this. If you’ve ever struggled with love, loss, or grief, know you’re never alone. Even if it’s just in a book, there’s always someone there waiting to help you through it. All you need to do is ask.

  About the Author

Rebecca, one of four kids to her parents who are both primary school teachers, was born in Wollongong on the south coast of Australia before moving to the country with her family. After a few years of embracing all that country life had to offer, the family relocated to Port Macquarie with its white sand beaches. After a brief period enjoying the sun and the surf they finally settled in Canberra where Rebecca still lives today. But all through her childhood a notepad and a book where never far away. These days Rebecca is an avid reader, and when she isn’t buried in a book or cheering on her beloved football team she’s spending time with her husband Robert and their overly spoilt dog Levi.
