Ready For Flynn,Part 3: A Rockstar Romance: Ready For Flynn Series Page 17

by K. L. Shandwick

Valerie smiled and snuck her hand up the inside of my shirt, “You’re incredible, Flynn. Look how happy she is. Thank you, for planning this.”

“I did this for us as much as for them. How often have I had the time to spend having slow sexy dances with my girl?”

Apart from our night in Chicago, I’d never taken her dancing. I planned to straighten that out.

“From now on Valerie, we’re ditching all the shitty parts that go with RedA, and we’re going to have some fun. Taking her by the hand, I led her over to the plush sofas and sat on one taking her down with me sitting her on my knee. Surprisingly, she straddled my lap and planted a wet kiss on my neck, “Mmm, very nice,” she murmured as she shivered and wiggled her pussy on my hard dick.

“You’re a fucking tease, you know that Ms. Darsin?” I snickered and cupped her ass in the palms of my hands while I stole a deep, passionate kiss.

We were interrupted when Kayden tapped on Valerie’s shoulder and bent to speak in her ear, “I’d rather you were a bit more restrained in front of me, Sis,” he scowled.

Valerie glanced at me and smirked knowingly, “Kayden, what are you, my dad? Flynn’s a rock star, he’s got a reputation to keep, you’ll just have to suck it up,” she retorted, before pulling my hair back and kissing me again.

Breaking the kiss I chuckled when I saw Kayden rub the back of his neck because I knew he wanted to knock me the fuck out, but Valerie had spoken, and I was damned if I was going to apologize for kissing my girl. Niamh and Amber were already dancing, and I knew the best way to get Kayden to relax was with alcohol, so I called for a bottle of good old Patron tequila and warned Valerie she was sticking to champagne after her last attempt at drinking shots.

Within minutes she’d already had two glasses of champagne and watched eagerly as us men had fun playing a drinking game with shots. I’d chosen music as the subject; we had to quote a line of lyrics from a song, and the others had to guess the name of it. If they got it wrong, they had to take a shot. I was currently five shots behind Lee and Kayden by the time I saw Valerie polish off her third champagne.

Excusing myself I pulled her up on the dance floor for two reasons, to slow her down and to meet my own particular need to hold her. Valerie spun around with her hands in the air, “Oh, I love this song,” she gushed as she began swaying her hips sexily from side to side to “This Is What You Came For” by Calvin Harris himself, featuring Rhianna.

Initially, I didn’t even attempt to start dancing with her. My feet stopped on the spot as I took in just how gorgeous she was. She was wearing a tiny red vest with a sheer white silk blouse over it that she left open. I glanced around the room and saw a few people I vaguely recognized from movies and TV shows; most of the men were watching my girl because she had that magnetism where she drew people’s eyes to her. Glancing back, I smiled and became mesmerized by her beauty until somebody bumped into me, and continued past.

My heart was already racing at the sight of her seductive moves, but being bumped for a second made its pace even quicker when I thought for a moment that someone was going to disrupt our night. When I glanced back her eyes were closed, her head tilted back allowing her wild dark locks to flow sexily down her back.

I was unable to ignore her, and my eyes were drawn back to her hips before they continued down the skinny black leather leggings that finished at her slim ankles. There were suggestive little zips up the side, but they weren’t half as seductive as the fuck-me red patent sling-backed stiletto shoes she was wearing. Painted ruby red toe and fingernails finished the look along with five beaded necklaces she never went anywhere without around her neck, polishing off her rock star’s girlfriend look.

After having my eyes full of her, I moved forward and slipped my hand around her waist, pulling her warm body close. I inhaled the sweet smell of her skin. The familiar scent of her hair made me close my eyes and I basked in the womanly aroma of her and breathed my lungs full. She was perfect. She was delicate outside, and a dangerous smoldering volcano on the inside. She was as complex as she was beautiful, and the strongest, most irresistible woman I’d ever known in my life.

Slowly, my hand slid across her stomach as hers reached across her body for mine. She slipped it into my palm, and I closed my fingers tightly because I wanted to convey how much I wanted her to be there with me. I lifted her hand and twirled her around noting how feminine she looked tottering around on those heels, and my head almost exploded as I groaned with desire.

Her eyes danced in the light and locked onto mine in a heated gaze as I took her hand and pulled her close, holding it between her chest and mine. My other hand slipped to the base of her spine, and I suddenly pushed her flush against me. Valerie’s breath hitched when she felt my hard bulge brush over the front of her belly.

Placing my cheek on hers, our dance was intimate. We didn’t care about the faces that were watching us. She’d said they were looking at me, but I guarantee it wasn’t me they were looking at because every guy’s eyes in that room were staring at her. The music was fast, and we were swaying slowly, but I couldn’t have cared less. I wanted to slow dance with my girl and as a rock star, I wasn’t expected to follow the flock, I was the trendsetter. Lucky me.

Turning Valerie away from me, I took her hands and lifted her arms straight above her head before slowly trailing the back of my hands down her arms, under her arms and down past her ribs. Valerie leaned back against me when my splayed fingers gripped the front of her hips and I pulled her against me. Looking over her shoulder, she smiled in my direction, and I couldn’t help but see the happiness in her heart at the simple gesture of dancing with her.

She turned in my arms, her hands sliding up my back until her fingers nestled in my hair at the nape of my neck, “I love you, Flynn Docherty. You are my world,” she said with a slow curve of her lips until her radiant smile choked me. Emotion rose up from the center of my chest, and I dipped my head to look deeply into her eyes again. One of my hands slid up to cradle her cheek while the other slowly rose to her mouth. I grazed my thumb across her soft plump bottom lip before replacing it with my mouth to nibble softly on it.

“Love doesn’t cut it for me where you’re concerned, Valerie. You make me weak. You’ve stolen my heart and regularly steal my breath away. You and Liam are daylight and sunshine, the stars and the moon—the fucking universe, babe. I was made to love you.”

Tears sprang to Valerie’s eyes, and I couldn’t have my girl cry in a room full of strangers, so I twirled her round and smacked her ass, before I pulled her into my side, and joked, “Tell anyone I said that and I’ll sic my lawyer on you, let’s get drunk,” I smirked.

  Chapter 18

  The way we were

  Valerie

Miami was magical. Being there with Flynn, Kayden and Amber was an incredible experience. It brought us all together, and it was the closest I’d felt to Kayden for years. I marveled at my wonderful, funny, brother, and to see Flynn relaxed and having fun was the most amazing feeling for me. Kayden had been in a horrible place after we’d lost our brothers and for a short time I was scared he’d do something and leave us, too. Not that he’d take his own life, but that he’d opt-out of our family because it was difficult to face us as the sole survivor.

The guy laughing in front of me was a world away from the Kayden I knew growing up, but there were elements that had shone through from time to time. We’d been really close as siblings, but it must have hit him because when he hugged me I had that same male brotherly feel I’d felt with all of them, and I was comforted by that. Kayden didn’t have another brother. He only had me and Amber to hug him…or maybe Flynn filled that void when he hugged him. Lately, I’d seen that brotherly bond form between them and my heart swelled each time they shared jokes only people that were close could understand.

The nightclub Flynn had taken us to was fantastic. For most of the evening, I felt like it was like a dream as Flynn lavished me with his seduct
ive attention and whispered sweet nothings in my ear. He talked about romance and love. It was everything most girls would die to hear their man say. I loved his confidence to slow dance with me to a fast song while every woman in the room stared at us. Some smiled, while some openly looked on with jealousy and glared with hateful stares. I stored every one of their expressions and placed them in my memory bank for the times ahead when my trust of Flynn would be tested in the future.

He was right. None of them were worth destroying what we had together. Flynn couldn’t stop touching me all evening. His physical contact was affectionate, passionate, and protective. I felt confident and secure. Safe. It was the way he made me feel most of the time if I was being honest. He’d always been protective of me, going back to that first day when I met him, and he acted the way he had at Adam’s football game.

I loved Flynn’s playful side, and he looked pretty carefree on our night out, laughing and joking with the boys. Kayden and Flynn did tons of shots, too many to count, but Lee had stopped after two, always alert for anything that would interfere with Flynn’s night out. Rita, Lee’s counterpart, and Niamh got on like a house on fire. They had since their first meeting. She had a similar no-nonsense nature but was caring and protective in the right quantities without being intrusive.

Flynn liked having a few drinks when he was socializing, but I used to tease him that he wasn’t really a rock star because he never got blind drunk like the rest of the band or other bands we came into contact with at after parties and events. Until that night, I hadn’t experienced the truly drunk Flynn. He was witty, charming and smutty. Most of all, he was very horny.

We’d danced many times, but as the night wore on he became pretty suggestive in his moves, his body plastered to mine while his hips gyrated against my ass. He started kissing my neck and made me wet while my hormones set off tiny explosions of desire resulting in a rash of goosebumps over every inch of my skin.

Five hours after we’d arrived we were starting to lag. My feet ached from the sexy sky-high shoes I’d worn just for Flynn, and he and I were sitting quietly in our own bubble while the others continued to party hard. He stared bleary-eyed at me and tenderly swept my hair over my shoulder before grabbing a bunch firmly in his hand.

“See this?” he said, tugging it slightly, “This is so fucking sexy, I love when I fuck you and my hands pull and tug it. I love it when I’ve turned you on your belly and watched it follow after you and it cascades down onto whatever surface we happen to be on. When I lean close to you, like this,” he nuzzled close to my ear and gently bit my earlobe, “And I smell that awesome, familiar Valerie shampoo, it’s fucking awesome. It’s crazy, but it turns me the fuck on,” he said, leaning back to look into my eyes.

I couldn’t help but laugh because he was drunk, but his serious face was so sober I couldn’t keep the smile from my face.

“What are you laughing at? I fucking love the smell of your hair, have I ever told you that?”

I smirked knowingly, “It smells the same as Kayden’s. We’ve all always used the same shampoo for cheapness, and both of us still buy the same thing now.”

Flynn snickered, “I had noticed, but I don’t want to fuck him every time he hugs me,” he admitted, and his naughty smile stretched so wide his dimple was on display.

I laughed loudly, and Flynn tilted his head, chuckling again and moved closer, still holding my hair. Dipping his head he brushed his lips against mine, “I’m going to make you my wife someday, Valerie Darsin, you’ll see. I’m going to make myself so fucking irresistible you’ll have no chance to say, no.” Closing the space between us, he kissed me hungrily, his tequila breath mingling with my champagne as we sat in a long make-out session while totally oblivious to the party taking place around us.

“Don’t you two ever get bored of swallowing each other’s tongues?”

Flynn broke the kiss and turned his head to see Jonah swaying in front of us. He wasn’t drunk, he was totally stoned.

“What the fuck are you two doing here?” Jonah questioned in an aggressive tone.

“Hello to you too, Jonah. I might ask you the same question,” Flynn replied his brow bunched at the bridge of his nose as he took in Jonah’s disheveled appearance.

“I came down on vacation to party, been here a few times, in Miami I mean, not here. This place is new. Opening night or something,” he said, as he continued to babble, barely coherent.

Flynn’s jaw ticked angrily, but I could see that even when drunk, he was acutely aware of his surroundings and contained his temper, “Sit down, Jonah, you’re attracting attention.”

“Isn’t that what rock stars are supposed to do? Draw attention?” he said holding his arms out and swiveling his body.

“Not this kind. Sit the fuck down. Look at you, dude, you’re fucking stoned.”

“And? What I do in my own time is my business. You’re drunk. Or does fucking the boss mean you get special treatment to do whatever you please?”

Flynn grabbed his arm and pulled him down beside him, turning away from me to face Jonah, “I may have been drinking, but I was sitting here minding my own business, you’re like a fucking bad advertisement for the band, buddy. Get your shit together and leave. Go home and clean up, you’re a fucking mess,” he said, angrily and shoved his arm back at him.

Jonah tried to stand and stumbled. Luckily Lee interjected and grabbed Jonah’s wrist, “Come on, Jonah, time to go home,” he said, measuring his tone to sound like he was doing what was right for him. Jonah turned and looked sharply at Lee before shaking his head.

“And there’s Flynn’s fucking shadow. Lee, the faithful bodyguard. Does this guy sleep with you two as well? Do you get to fuck our gorgeous boss when he’s too tired? You do just about everything else for him,” he spat.

“Enough, Jonah, go home. You’re in no state to be here. Think of RedA and your commitment to the band. Remember what I said about always being prepared for the paparazzi. Lee, get Jonah a car; we’ll talk tomorrow,” I said sharply.

Pulling Flynn to his feet, I wrapped my arms around his waist as a distraction, “Come on, I want another dance before we leave, honey,” I said because I knew if I gave Flynn time to respond their argument would escalate. Leaving Jonah with Lee, I tugged Flynn away in the direction of the dance floor.

I think it was the first time in my life I’d used my sexuality to distract a man. Flynn was ready to erupt, and the last thing I wanted was for Jonah to ruin what had been a perfect night up until that point. We kept dancing long enough for Lee and two of the security guys from the club to help Jonah leave discreetly, and I knew that the way he was going with his drug dependency, RedA had a problem on their hands.

When Lee came back, Flynn had decided he’d had enough for one night, so we wound things up and left the club. I’d figured that we were either flying back to Iowa or Flynn had booked hotel suites for us, but when the driver drove us to a mansion right on the ocean, Amber squealed with delight.

“Seriously, Flynn? We’re staying here?” she asked in a voice pitched an octave higher than her usual tone. Flynn smirked, “Nothing but the best for my family. You’re family now, right?” he asked.

Amber flung her arms tightly around him and turned to look at me, “If I weren’t so in love with your brother, I’d steal this man,” she joked.

“Yeah, and I’d let you?” I answered in a question, grinning from ear to ear.

Kayden and Flynn stumbled out of the minivan and staggered toward the door, arms around each other and deep in conversation about the Yanks and the Dodgers. I walked barefooted after removing my torturous heels as soon as we’d gotten on the bus.

Soft purple flood lighting bathed the impressive frontage of the house. The tall palm trees and lush green gardens made for an opulent sight, but it was the gentle sound of crashing waves and crickets that gave it the perfect atmosphere.

Lee entered the lock box code and grabbed the key to the d
oor. Opening the door, he threw it wide, and we were met by a massive marble entrance hall, complete with a crystal chandelier and a red carpeted staircase that fanned out in both directions about half way up. All of us ran for the stairs, eager to explore the fabulous place we were staying in.

Flynn opened the first room door, “Kayd, this one’s for you and Amber”, he told him, and swung the door open on a beautiful white bedroom with a massive bed draped romantically with mosquito netting. It faced French doors and a balcony overlooking the ocean. I figured the view would be perfect at sunrise with the light breaking through.

Amber screeched throwing her arms around Kayden, “Oh. My. God, Kayden, just think of the fun we’re gonna have in there,” she grinned wickedly. Kayden’s eyes darted to mine, and his hand flew to the back of his neck. When Flynn saw his reaction, he laughed raucously and slapped Kayden on the back. “Damn, Kayden, busted. You’re little sister knows you fuck your girl now,” he teased.

My brother was drunk, so I guess he was feeling brave and smirked, “Yeah, I do sometimes, but mostly Amber rides me, isn’t that right, honey?”

Amber’s jaw dropped in shock as she blushed, “Thanks for that,” she hissed quietly at Kayden.

Flynn thought it was hilarious to embarrass them and laughed again, “Good girl, I love honesty, at least you haven’t denied it,” he stated stretching out the agony for her until I elbowed his side and widened my eyes to tell him to stop.

Continuing along the corridor, he threw two more doors open, “Rita, you’re here, honey, and Lee you’re in this one.” Walking to the door at the end he pushed it open and straight in front of me was the biggest bed I’d ever seen. Wall to wall windows made it look like there was nothing between us and the ocean.

“Niamh, there are only four bedrooms on this floor, and they all appear to be accounted for. As you can see we’ve got plenty of room in our bed, so you can either stay here with Val and me or bunk up with that ugly bastard over there,” he said with a wicked glint in his eye and gestured at Lee.
