I hope you loved reading "Harem Girl". This book was great fun to write. I'm a long time reader of fantasy and science fiction. My first Sci FI/Fantasy hybrid read were the Witch World Novels by Andre Norton. Those volumes are a classic and I still like to revisit the Witch World. You may detect echoes of that world in what I write today as Ms. Norton has been a huge influence on me. When I first embarked on writing this book, I thought it would be a relatively short story. Nevertheless, it has grown.
The languages spoken by the various races in the book are real world ones. The Hidari and the Orcs speak Bosnian. The Elves speak Finnish, while Tieflings speak German. Another interest of mine is language. While I do have a few years of college level German under my belt, most of the foreign language dialog in this book came by way of online translation. While the translations may not be perfect, they are only here to add some flavor of the world I created.
By blending LitRPG with a little romance, I'm desiring to introduce new readers to the genre. LitRPG is similar to anime (where it has it's roots) In that it can encompass a broad variety of themes & genres. LitRPG can be romantic, sexy, scary, and swashbuckling.
As technology in our world advances, we are fast drawing near a completely digital age. Which leads us humans to question what is "real"? Are experiences that are virtual any less valid than one that occur in meat-space? This is one reason I believe that LitRPG will continue to develop as it emerges. This is a genre that asks some very big questions, while also supplying entertaining reads to people all over the world.
