“Look, she kind of did you a favor…if she didn’t dust you, then they would find out that you used a humanoid in your place…And that is highly illegal, as you know.” Val smiled.
“Well, that is true. I am just surprised that she was in the end b the bigger threat than the commissioner himself…Well, anyway, I am so glad that I listened to you and switched the place with the humanoid before I came to the Capital…. Well, if you ever talk to doctor again, could you please thank him from me.”
“No need to say thanks. I let him go as a way of a payment, plus…I think we better stay away from that doctor. He has some really crazy ideas in his head. There is something seriously wrong with that guy. He is one of the few people I am actually scared off, to tell you the truth.”
“Okay, I hear you.” Timor shook his head, understanding it all too clearly. “But just tell me one thing, now that I am dead, what am I supposed to do?”
Hopefully you have enjoyed this book…

The bullet than grazed Val’s shoulder and his gun dropped to the floor. He dived to the floor as another bullet took his hat off. The gun was now out of his reach as he hid behind the counter. Bullets broke the lights above him and glasses showered his head.
“Can we talk?” He screamed at Mikka.
“Friend of yours?” Lan asked.
“Sure…sure we can talk.” Mikka screamed across the room “You can start by telling me where my stuff is….I want my staff back!” She fired another bullet that chipped a feast-size part of the counter’s corner that a second ago hid part of Val’s head.
“Double-crosser! You stinking ECI!”
“What did you do to her?” Lan asked Val for explanation.
“Look, she is really a very bad person.” Val tried to explain.
“We are not dating!” Lan screamed at Mikka, not fully understanding what exactly is going on here.
“I don’t think that will help.” Val told her.
“Well, good for you…Who would want to date that old goat anyway? ”
“You better run, police will be here any second.” Lan screamed back
“Yeah, okay, I’m running…See, I am gone, you can come out now.”
“Look, Mikka, I took your stuff…but, you know, you can’t have it back. I mean, It was all garbage anyway, so I threw it all away.”
Mikka jumped up on a coffee table and finally saw a clear shot of the Val’s body…her gun pointed directly to his crutch.
About the Author
Al Scott started to write for his own pleasure before the age o f10 on an old typewriting machine, sometimes typing late at night and keeping everyone in the house awake. Since those days, he took years to finish his education, graduating with a degree in Economics, and then spent twenty years working as a financial analyst.
His passion for science fiction only increased during those years culminating in his decision to return to writing. While composing his first novel “Mikka’s Chronicles: The Last Job”, he realized how the depth of the galaxy extends further than his imagination, and some of the arisen questions he tried to answer with this short story, “The Making of an ECI”. He hopes that a lot of other questions will be answered in number of other short stories as well as new novels yet to come.
Al Scott, besides being a father of three, spends most of his time locked in the galaxy he created even while he takes his favorite long outdoor walks. He is often reminded that there is a life besides writing especially by one bad-ass kitty called Uli.
In order to keep everyone promptly informed, he has created twitter account @AlAlscott1202 where all his writing plans, publications and current promotions should be posted.
