Vernon then turned to Naverone. He held her hand up in the air. "Isn't she beautiful?" he asked. "While others were telling me I had a propensity for violence, this woman told me I had a propensity for love. She was right. For my heart overflows with love for her.” He brought the mic to his lips and began singing, Never Let Me Go, by Luther Vandross.

‘Just let me love you tonight. Forget about tomorrow. Cling to me with all your might and never let me go.’ He stopped in the middle, got down on one knee. ‘Give me the right in springtime to tell the world you are mine and you will never let me go.'

Naverone's hair blew in the wind as tears flowed down her cheeks. This man on his knee never ceased to amaze her. He was asking her to be his wife in front of all his friends and family. She couldn't ask for anything that could make her feel more loved.

  "Yes."

Vernon kissed her hand then stood. He took her in his arms and they swayed to the music underneath the stars surrounded by the Brooks family and friends.
