Beg Me (Power Play Series)

I find my passport and place it in the front zipper of my backpack. I roll up two bikinis and a few sundresses, put my sunglasses on top of my head and put my favorite heels in my bag just in case.
“Alright, I’m ready. I got my passport, photo ID, credit card and some cash.” I announce, lugging my bags down the stairs.
As we sit at the table together having coffee we pick up where our conversation left off.
“I know it seems like I have to keep apologizing to you lately Lauren, but I’m sorry” I say with sincerity.
“Its fine,” she says with a dismissive wave of her hand. “I knew what the job entailed going in. Don’t think I won’t take my turn to be the crazy friend.”
I laugh, “Well aren’t we a pair? What would you mom say now if she were here?”
“Life isn’t always roses; you need to learn to take the good with the bad. It takes compost and sunshine together to help roses grow beautiful and strong.” Lauren quotes. The memory of Lauren’s mom makes me smile.
“You looked just like her, when you said that right now.”
“Thanks that means a lot to me.” Lauren says with tears in her eyes. Looking at the clock on the stove, she sighs at the too early time. “Maybe you should try and take a nap before this afternoon. I am going back to bed”
I’m surprised at how sleepy I feel even after a few hours sleep the night before, and fall asleep quickly.
I’m scared; I can hear the buzzing of the machines. Only this time the noise doesn’t stop. I open my eyes and see 11:00 AM on the clock. I can still hear the buzzing and realize it’s the buzzing sound of my phone. I thought about not answering, fearful it could be the mover, but when I look at the display I see its Cheri.
“Hello” I say. Nothing but silence in the background.
“Cheri? Hello? Are you there?” Still nothing from the other end. “Cheri you are scaring me. Are you ok? Please say something” I sit up in bed, suddenly wide awake.
“I’m downstairs can you let me in?” Cheri finally says.
I open the front door and see Cherri in her running gear; her eyes are red and swollen from crying. “Come in, what’s going on?” Seeing her in this state I feel so helpless, I pull her in close for a big hug.
“I’m fine,” she sniffs “I just fell. I’m going to bed I hurt all over. If I don’t see you before you go have a safe trip.” She tries to move past me, but I block her path.
“Do you want me to get Lauren?” I ask looking her over for any signs of injury.
“No, I don’t need anyone else to be part of my humiliation.” She says running her hand through her messy ponytail. The hospital tag on her wrist catches me eye.
“You were in the hospital! Are you sure your alright” I say and pointing to her ID bracelet.
She pulls it off her arm with a heavy sigh, and goes to her room. I follow her and watch as she crawls into her bed.
“Ouch!” Cheri winces from the pain, but manages to make it to her pillow. “I just need to sleep this off, and throw sneakers away. I’m never running again.”
“Talk to me. What happened?” I ask and poke her in the side.
“Let’s just say I made a complete fool of myself in front of a DF. I didn’t even get his name.” She says throwing her forearm over her eyes.
Cheri takes a breath before continuing. “After the fiasco today I don’t ever have to worry about seeing him again at the trail again, I’m sure.”
“It can’t be that bad.” I say.
I lift my head at the sound of a car horn out front.
“That’s my ride to the airport. Text me and let me know how you’re doing.” I say
“Just go” Cheri says dismissing me and rolling on her side.
“Make sure you let me know when you get there alright?” Cheri calls over her shoulder. “I hope you know what you are doing Viv.”
“Yeah, me too.” I say and shut the door.
Chapter Six
This is not what I was expecting. Instead of a commercial flight, I am sitting comfortably in his private jet. This day keeps is off to a good start. My excitement wanes as look around and imagine Daemon flying the women before me on his jet. I don’t know why the thought of the women that came before me makes me jealous, but it does.
After the lights came on letting us know if was safe to use our electronic devices, I put my pillow behind my head recline my seat back and push my ear buds into my ears and hit play. For someone who doesn’t believe romance will happen for her, I sure do listen to a lot of sappy music I notice as I open the music app on my phone.
I turn towards the window and look out at the clouds, part of me wishes I could stay up here forever. I flip through the magazines on the table, but not much interests me. I know I definitely don’t need any electronics or as seen on TV items. I turn my iPod on and scroll down the J’s until I find him, James Morrison. With his lyrics crooning in my ears I close my eyes and drift off.
Before I know it, I am awakened by the captain letting me know that we are making our decent into the airport. As I exit I thank the crew for being so kind to me, grab my passport and ID and make my way down to the tarmac. Pass through customs I smile at the international stamp in my passport.
“Ok Viv, now we just have to find our ride.” I say aloud to myself. I watch as taxis come and go and people pile into various buses. Finally I see a man holding up a sign with my name on it, I push through the noisy crowd and make my way in the direction large, window front entrance.
As I get closer I recognize the shape of him, that face, and those grey eyes. I feel as if I can no longer breathe, and my feet are cemented to the ground.
“Well I had nothing else to do so I thought I would drive you myself.” Daemon says, noticing my shock. He takes my bags and kisses me on the cheek, and throwing his heavy arm across my shoulders.
My heart feels like it is going to beat out of my chest, it feels like I’m in a dream and moving in slow motion. He smells so fucking amazing I just want to bury my face in him forever.
“I take it the flight was good.” Daemon asks as he grabs my bag
“Yes, it was amazing, thank you.” I say, managing a smile at him.
When we get out front to Daemon’s car he moves a step ahead to open the door for me. I bow my head and slide in.
“Uh, you can save it. I’m not one of those women Daemon.” I say looking up at him.
I lean over to his side and open his door for him; he gets in and opens up the top.
“What kind of women are those women?” He glances over at me as we pull away from the curb.
“I’m just not the kind of woman who stands at a door waiting for a man to open it. I have two very capable hands that can open doors.” I hold them up and turn them for him to see.
He grabs my left hand, kisses it, and places it on my lap with his hand still covering it.
“You sell yourself short, I know for a fact that’s not all those hands can do.” He says with a smile.
The electricity in his touch is back, and his words give me an odd feeling. Is he always so charming?
The roads twist and turn through the small town, passing all the different shaped white buildings. Some of them have blue doors and blue shutters, other buildings are an off white color.
The brief peeks I get of the ocean in between the houses and business have me longing for more. I look around as we pass busy streets and I am dying to ask are we there yet?
The silence is making me nervous; I have to say something to start a conversation.
“Everything is so beautiful here.” I begin.
He smiles tells me the local stories of the area including what it was like to see these places as a child, he is so descriptive it’s as if I’m sharing the memory with him. We stop at an area known as Little Venice, and to my surprise it’s very similar to the photos in the travel books. I look at all the whitewashed houses and imagine what it must have been like to see those years ago in their prime.
> The afternoon goes by so fast. We spent the majority of it walking around, and stopping at cafés here or there for refreshments.
I used our visit at an ice cream shop to rattle Daemon’s chain. I lick the cone in a rather seductive manner, glancing out the corner of my eye as I know Daemon is watching. He smirks at me, but doesn’t say or do anything else.
When we are back in the car, he directs me to pull my seat back. “Put your feet up on the dashboard.” He says softly. I am confused by his request, but I still comply. His large hand slips down the front and inside of my shorts popping them open, slowly he slides two fingers on my clit and begins to rub.
“It’s not nice to tease Vivienne.” Daemon says whispering in my ear. “We still have to go dinner, but tonight you will be dessert.”
I whimper as he removes his hand, rubs his fingers together and puts them in his mouth. I inhale deeply, trying to regain my composure; he is staring so intently at me that I wonder if he is fighting to control himself.
“We better go.” Daemon finally says and heads to the restaurant. He keeps my hand on his thigh, and doesn’t look at me again until we get to our destination.
Thank God it was a quick ride to the local restaurant, the unspoken desire and silence was torment. I step out of the car and Daemon takes my hand to lead me inside. We walk up the steps to a rooftop with a 360 degree view of the city.
The setting sun has painted the sky with a mixture of red and orange. It’s breathtaking.
“I have seen many sunsets before but the memory of them pale in comparison to this one.” I say staring out in the distance.
I am still smiling when I bring my gaze back around and catch Daemon watching me.
“Do you know what you would like?” he asks.
Even though I know he is referring to the menu, my mind wanders. I think of his lips, kissing them and having them all over me.
Oh my God, sitting across from me is a man whose face looks like it was chiseled after a Greek god. I feel myself start to blush so I pick the menu up and hide behind it; I take a moment to make my selections and to break whatever pull this man has on me.
I motion to two items on the menu and I can tell from his smile that he is impressed that I knew what I wanted. Damn it, there he goes smiling again and making my heart race.
When the waitress comes, Daemon speaks our order to her in perfect Greek. Just hearing his voice makes me wet, and for the first time I wish I wore panties.
I pick at the bread in the middle of the table and decide to make small talk. “So you live here?”
“On the roof?” he chuckles “No, my home is in Athens.” I smile to myself, it relaxes me a little to know that he has a sense of humor.
“If you grew up here how is it that you speak English so well?” I stop picking at my bread to make eye contact as he responds. “When I was a seven, my parents sent me to the states to study. I was there until I graduated. “I think back to my experiences going from one foster family to the next.
“That must have been so hard for you to leave your family at such a young age and be with strangers.”
“It was, but I knew I had a duty to my family and I didn’t want to let my father down. During my time there, I learned to write and speak English along with three other languages, Italian, French, and Spanish.”
“That’s an interesting choice of languages. Why did you pick those?” I ask picking off a piece of bread.
“It was always the plan for me to use my education in the family business.” He says leaning in his chair. “My father, his father and his father’s father were all boat builders.”
We spent the rest of the meal talking about his family and the business that they run. He also confided in me about his dreams and what he would like to do with his future. He felt such a need to honor his family and continue doing the business the same as his father before him. Each time the subject was turned on me, I just smiled and told Daemon there wasn’t much to tell and I was happy listening to his stories.
When the waiter has taken our empty plates from the table, and we are ready to leave, Daemon takes my hand and walks closely with me back down the staircase.
“That was the most wonderful dinner. Thank you for suggesting it.” I say looking up at him. Daemon smiles down at me and remains quiet.
At the bottom of the stairs and back on the street, I hear music playing and turn my head to see what direction it’s coming from. There are many lights and sounds blaring from the building on the corner. Daemon motions his head in the direction of the building and I nod in reply.
The entrance of the club is nothing special; it looks like any other that I have been to. We make our way to the bar and order our drinks. Daemon suddenly pulls me close, and starts dancing me slowly in his arms. Sighing, I lean into his chest and wrap my arms around his waist. I think I’m in love and it’s barely day two.
Chapter Seven
After only an hour at the club, Daemon leans in close so I can hear him. “We need to head out. I have to stop by my office to get some papers. Do you mind?” Daemon says.
‘No, do what you need to.” I reply. We walk hand in hand out of the bar and head towards the car. I feel like this is a scene from a romantic movie, with the reflection of the twinkling stars in the water. I look over at Daemon and grin; he grabs my hand and holds it tight until we arrive at the office.
I look at the building in front of me reminds me of the buildings back home on Market Street and I smile.
I try not to look at Daemon too much as we ride the elevator to his floor, but his sharp features and strong presence are hard to ignore. He takes the key from his jacket and slowly slides the key down into the lock and opens the door when the green light flashes. I get momentarily distracted when I see the large balcony straight ahead that seems to float above the water. Before I know what is happening Daemon pushes my back up against the door, kissing me hard. My knees weaken as my body melts into his; he pulls his lips away and keeps his gaze on me. The way that man kisses gives a new meaning to the phrase “girl on fire”. I hope he can’t hear the pounding of my heart. I fight the urge to reach for him, to feel his lips on mine again, his hands exploring my breasts.
But I can’t let that happen, to shift the sexual power back into my favor I just look at him and smile. “If you’ve finished with me I’d like to use the restroom.”
“I could never be finished with you so soon, Vivienne.” His deep voice rumbles in my chest.
I close the door behind me making sure to lock it. I need a shower, a cold shower at that. I wash my hands and decide to just rinse my face with cold water trying to sober up. As I pat the water off my face, I think back to my kiss with Daemon. In the mirror my lips are still full and red from his assault. There is just something in the way this man kisses me that seems to overpower my senses.
I head out of the bathroom, and follow the light until I reach Daemon’s office. I stand in the doorway and watch him as he concentrates hard on the computer on his desk. I see the lines form on his forehead as he brushes a finger past his lips, those same lips that were on mine just moments ago.
“Don’t just stand there, come on in Vivienne.” He says without looking up. I walk in and stand next to his chair and glance at the screen.
“What’s wrong?” I ask, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“You mean besides the fact that I am thinking of work instead of having you in my bed?” he says playfully, turning his head to nip at my fingers. “I have to wait for this to finish before I can get the paperwork I need printed out.”
“Do you have a laptop and printer at home?” I question.
“Yes”
“Then you don’t have to wait here. Move over.” I lean over his desk, making sure he has a direct view to my full cleavage, and change the settings on his computer so that he is able to remote into it later from his house.
“There, now you will be able to work on this computer from anywhere.” I say proudly.
r /> “Wow. Beauty and brains, I really got lucky with you. Let’s go home.” The ride home is filled with more small talk. “How long have you been in the lifestyle?” His question surprises me. “For a few years now, I’m safe if that’s what you’re worried about.” I decide two can play this game. Shifting in my seat I turn to look at him. “How long have you been in the lifestyle?”
I see him take a deep breath. “I’ve always had a healthy sex life; I enjoy the variety without the strings that come from a typical relationship.” Before I can ask the next question that is in my mind he continues. “That was the first club I was ever in. I prefer discretion, and limit my activities to an apartment I purchased for that purpose.” I think about his words he said let’s go home. We pull into the garage, and I carefully make my way out of the car walking unsteadily on my feet.
“What’s wrong?” Daemon asks coming around to my side. I’ve never seen a man look at me with such concern.
“It’s nothing; I think all the traveling has finally caught up with me. And these heels are killing my feet.”
Daemon grabs me around the waist and lifts me up causing me to scream out. He moves me around to cradle me in his strong arms. “Let me take you to the bedroom.” He says softly. I wrap my arms around his neck, laying my head on his firm chest.
He held me close the entire way upstairs, not even putting me down to open the door. In the bedroom, he sits me down on the edge of the bed, taking my right foot in his hand. Kneeling on the floor in front of me, he gently removes the shoe from my foot and places it on his lap. His strong hands massage the soreness out of the ball of my foot, and lace his hands through my toes and tug them making them crack. I close my eyes, relaxing into the feel of his hands on me when I feel my leg being lifted up. I open my eyes to watch him bring my foot to his mouth. He kisses and nibbles at my heel, the side of my foot working his way towards my toes. He takes each of my toes in his mouth, sucking and biting them. He puts my foot back on the bed and reaches for the other to repeats the process.
