To my husband, thank you for putting up with the late nights, sleepless nights, writer’s block, deadline stress, and all around weirdness that comes with being married to a writer. I know that it’s been even more challenging than usual these days with a baby in the house, and to say that you’ve been my literal champion would be an understatement. You’ve gone above and beyond as a father, husband, and friend and I’m endlessly fortunate to have someone so supportive of my passions.

And to YOU, the reader: if you’re reading this, it means you’ve stuck with Emerala and Nerani through not one, but two of their stories. Thank you for your support, and thank you for reading. It means so much to me to know that this story is finally being read and enjoyed the way I meant for it to be experienced. If you loved it, liked it, or even if you hated every word of it, I’d love to hear from you! Amazon reviews and Goodreads reviews are amazing for an indie author, and I’d appreciate any feedback I can get.

Thank you all, and be sure to check out www.kadowling.com to see what else I’ve been working on!

  About the Author

KA Dowling is an award-winning writer living just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She has been writing stories as long as she can remember, and has been daydreaming about fantastical worlds and imaginary heroines for even longer than that.

Dowling lives with her husband, their infant, and their smelly Boston Terrier, King Henry. Her favorite animal is the Tyrannosaurus Rex and she has wanted to be a sea-faring pirate for much of her adult life. This story is her way of living vicariously through her fictional characters.

She’s thrilled that you’ve picked up her book, and she hopes you enjoyed every last word. To read more of what Dowling has written, check out her website at www.kadowling.com. You can also follow her day-to-day antics on Instagram (@bittercresswriter) and Twitter (@KayAyDowling).
