Fallen For Shame

“Damn it.” She rubbed her temple that she had whacked.

  Tyler chuckled behind her.

“Stop it,” she moaned. “I was trying to be sexy.”

“You don’t need to try. But I think I’ll carry you to the bed so we make sure we have no more mishaps.” He scooped her up into his strong arms and opened the door to enter the bedroom. The room was subtly decorated with the natural wood showing through and a white painted internal wall. The sheets were hundred percent white cotton with a deep green knitted blanket at the base. Tyler placed her gently on the bed. Thank God, being a shifter meant that clothes weren’t an issue at the moment, because she was ready to take in everything about him. She started at his messy hair and perfect face with a square jawline, trailed down over his muscular chest and torso, that odd wolf tattoo prominent, and down to the thick ‘v’ leading to his penis. It was already erect and she judged it to be around nine inches. He was big. The purple crown framing the shaft pulsed with blood. It was ready to pleasure her. Her mouth dropped open.

“I suddenly feel rather on display,” Tyler spoke, but all she could do was look at his sensational cock. “Teagan.” She couldn’t respond. Holy hell, he was going to put that inside her. She almost came with that thought. Her arousal pooled between her thighs. When Tyler got near her he’d find her drenched. Mind you that was probably a good thing, because, fuck, that would hurt otherwise. “Teagan,” he shouted at her again and threw a decorative cushion at her. It hit her square on the nose. She let out a yelp.

“Shit, sorry.” He was on the bed and next to her examining her nose before she could think more about the pain of the impact.

  “I’m ok,” she reassured.

“Thank goodness. I’m so sorry, but you spaced out on me.” He looked down at his cock, and she followed his eyes. Seriously? That was supposed to fit inside her without splitting her in two like a piñata. “Is there something wrong with my dick?”

“What?” her eyes flicked quickly up to his face. He seemed worried. “No, nothing. It’s just so big.”

“Big. That’s a good thing right? Unless, are you a virgin?” The worry on his face increased not vanished.

“No, I’ve been with two other men. Wild dogs in my pack. They just didn’t have a lot down there. I thought what they had at the time was big, but now looking at you I can see they were really small. I mean, it’s massive Tyler. How do you not kill women with that thing? They must not walk again for days after they’ve fucked you. Oh God. I’m going to be in bed for a week. Everyone’s going to know what we’ve done. I know they say it gets better as you get used to it, and I’m sure I will but in the meantime they’re all going to laugh at me when I walk funny. It’s been a long while as well, so it’s going to be doubly bad.”

  “Teagan.” Tyler interrupted her.

  “Yes.”

  “Shut up.”

  “What?” She frowned at him.

“Quiet. It’ll fit, and you’ll enjoy it and walk perfectly fine afterwards. Now, I think we need to actually get down to business, or otherwise I’m going to explode all over this bed from how fucking sexy you are laid out there bare for me.” She looked down at herself. Inadvertently, she’d positioned herself on the bed with her legs apart and her glistening pussy on display for him. She was even playing with her breasts.

  “Oh.”

Tyler settled himself between her legs and kissed her. It was gentle, at first, but the more it prolonged the passion between them ignited. Shivers of desire sizzled all over her body.

“I wanted to take this slowly and give you foreplay, and everything that you need. But I don’t think I can.” Tyler wore a strained expression on his face. His brow already had a bead of sweat above it.

“Make me yours.” It was the only response she could give since she felt the head of Tyler’s cock nudge her opening. She needed him to be buried inside her. “Please,” she begged, and he pushed past her opening. He stretched her. There was a moment of pain as he filled her until his balls hit her bottom.

“Butterfly,” he whispered into her mouth. She captured the term of affection and swallowed it down into her heart. “You feel like perfection.”

“You feel big,” she giggled. She couldn’t help it. He did feel big. Tyler took her lip in his mouth and bit it tenderly in response.

He’d not moved yet. The pressure within her core built. She needed him to move so she rotated her hips. He seemed to get the message and pulled out. She threw her head back against the duck down pillows and let out a lascivious moan. When he thrust back in the moan grew louder. One thing Tyler would soon learn about wild dogs is, they were loud during sex. She’d grown up in the noisiest neighborhood in Kansas.

“Look at me.” Tyler commanded. She pulled her head back up and met his deep mahogany eyes. He was an enigma: gentle but commanding. “Don’t ever look away from me.”

“I won’t,” she breathlessly responded. “Make me come, Tyler. Show me the pleasure that you spoke of.”

His thrusts got faster. It was just them on a bed staring into each other’s eyes. Nothing else moved except Tyler’s cock in and out of her welcoming pussy. Sex had never been like this before. It’d been kind of yucky and uncomfortable, but there was nothing wrong with this. It was intense and blissful at the same time. The rhythm between them rocked like a boat jumping over waves on the sea. It was melodic in its nature. His pelvis stroked at her clit every time he sheathed himself to the hilt. She wrapped her slender legs around his back and drew him further in on the next thrust. The fire within her core ignited. She was going to come soon. She’d never climaxed just through sex before. Her clit had always needed some external stimulation.

“Tyler, please.” She begged him for more not just with her words but also with her eyes. His darkened further in response. They were almost the color of midnight. His ferocity became frantic, so now every time he went into her she was pushed up the bed.

“I’m going to come,” she barked out.

Tyler responded with a howl of his own. Her core exploded around his penetrating dick, and she clamped down on it. She came in a mind-numbing climax. Tyler stilled inside her, and she felt his ribbons of seed filling her womb. It was warm and entirely him. She welcomed it with the knowledge that now was not her fertile time. Her breathing was rapid as she came down from her high, and her body was jelly underneath her wolf lover.

“Damn it, Teagan, that was better than in my dreams and was just the starter.”

“You had the same dreams.” She gave an exhausted retort.

“Every night.” He pulled his softening cock out of her tender havens. She winced a little, and her body jerked with aftershocks.

“Glad to know that I’m not the only one. I just hope that you’re able to get me into some of the positions that I dreamt of in them.” She gave him a cheeky wink.

“You better believe it, honey.” Tyler looked out of the window, and she followed his gaze. It was dark. When had that happened? She thought it was a bit dull in the room. “Do you want to go back to the mansion tonight?”

  “Why?’ she asked.

“You said that this cabin was free for the night.”

  “It is,” she responded.

“I’ll pop out and get some dinner, and then I thought we could stay here? Try out a few more of those dreams if you are up for it.”

“I don’t know.” She pretended to muse. “Am I your girlfriend, now, because I’m not the sort of girl that you can take advantage of?”

Tyler stood up off the bed and threw his head back in a rumbustious laugh.

  “Yeah, you’re my girlfriend.”

  CHAPTER EIGHT

Kas placed his hand down on the ground in the spot where he knew his best friend was buried. The light of the moon illuminated the makeshift grave. Not that he needed it with his bear sight.

“I can’t believe that it’s been eighteen years since we lost you. It only seems like yesterday we were running around the park toge
ther. Brayden’s happy. Selene’s perfect for him and complements him in every way. He’s grown into the role of beta perfectly. It’s like I have you back by my side again. Except, I know that it isn’t you. I think Jane’s happy to be back here. She keeps to herself and doesn’t say a lot. There must be so many painful memories here for her, but she’s safer under my protection. There’s no telling what Nuka would do, if provoked. I wish I’d listened to you all those years ago and cast him out then. So much since might not have happened.” The monologue to his friend was rambling but genuinely heartfelt. He missed Heath every day. They’d been best friends since before he could remember. Knowing that he was protecting Heath’s son from the truth was the only thing that kept him going.

The trees rustled behind him. He used his powerful sense of smell to detect the intruder into this private time.

“Jane. You really shouldn’t sneak up on us wild animals.”

“Sorry.” Heath’s widow stepped from the bushes. “I didn’t want to intrude on your time with him.”

“My time’s not as important as the time you need with him.” Kas turned to face her. She was dressed in blue faded jeans with an oversized jumper and thick thermal coat. “You must always interrupt me.” He motioned to the way she shivered, despite the layers of clothing. “Are you cold?”

“A little. I wasn’t planning on coming out here now, but the wolves howling made me nervous. I come here when I’m scared. I know it’s safe. Stupid I know: probably much better to stay locked up in the house.” She shrugged a little and bent down to place her own hand over her husband’s grave.

“Wolf and a wild dog to be precise.” He gave her a moment of silence and then corrected her. “I believe Teagan and Tyler will be the next of my pack to declare themselves mates if their calls tonight were anything to go by.”

“Oh, they weren’t hunting?” she asked

“No, having sex I do believe.” A howl filled the air again. “Multiple times, it would seem. I’ll need to speak to them about using the rental cabins as a love nest though. I’m not sure the guests in the neighboring ones will approve.”

Jane stifled a little giggle at his comment. “They’re young and having fun. Leave them alone. As long as they clear up after themselves what harm could it do? We were once their age.” She went silent again. Teagan was twenty-three; by that age Jane had been married, had a child, and become a widow. “Let them be, Kas. It’s a good thing. Makes the pack stronger. Look at Scott and Emma, and Brayden and Selene. Scott’s like a different man, taking on responsibility for protecting his family. Emma’s channeling her ability to fight, like a master, into fortifying the mansion, and Selene’s grown into a young lady I no longer recognize. She was so scared and weak when I first met her but now she will kick your ass and ask questions later.”

“What about Brayden?” he asked and moved back to sit on a rock.

Jane knelt down on the floor next to her husband’s grave.

“He’s become so like his father. I know Heath would be so proud of him.” Her voice broke a little on the last few words. She composed herself. “Although I know I can’t change that day, it doesn’t stop me fantasizing about what my life would be like now if he hadn’t died. I see us with a big family, lots of little Braydens running around. I’m ignoring my fertility problems in this, by the way.”

“One’s enough most of the time, thank you,” he interjected.

“You’d have an army of snow leopards.”

“That might be to my advantage, actually.”

“I would’ve had a little girl. Just like me, though. I know the genetics would say she’d be a snow leopard, but I like to think that she’d possess more human qualities than shifter.”

He could see that. A mini Jane running around would be a sight to behold. Dark curls bobbling in the wind as she charged down her brothers with furious intent. They’d protect her like the princess she would be.”

“You could still marry and adopt. Have that little girl?” he offered.

“After what I’ve experienced here, I don’t think I could ever have a relationship with a human again. I know too much. I feel too much. I couldn’t explain Brayden to a human husband. I thought about it so many times over the years. I haven’t been a nun; I’ve dated, but nobody was the right man.

“Because he’s dead?” Kas looked at the ground next to where Jane sat.

  “Because he left me.”

They both went silent for a moment, lost in their thoughts. Heath had been his best friend. Along with Jane, they’d formed a formidable team. She might not be a shifter but she could fight if needed, and she was smart. Way smarter than him. Heath had been so lucky to have found someone like her. He’d had women in his life, throughout the years, but never that someone special. At thirty-six, almost thirty-seven, he wasn’t running out of time to find a mate, but it was seeming less likely that it would ever happen. The woman for him was not out there. He had to spend too much time being alpha to his pack of miscreants. Not that he would change them for anything.

Their silence was broken by another howl and lots of moaning barks. They looked at each other and laughed.

“Seriously, if we start getting roars from Scott and Emma, and God knows what from Selene….”

Jane held her hand up. “Please don’t, that’s my son’s name you’re about to mention, and I don’t need to know what he and Selene get up to. In my eyes, they go to bed each night and read a good book before sleeping on opposite sides of the bed. No touching.”

He shook his head. “Do you ever think we’re old before our time?”

“Every day with these young shifters running around. I mean, I had a whole conversation with Emma this morning and at times it was like she was speaking in code. I didn’t understand a word she was saying. What the hell is a blowhard?”

“It’s a talkative person, apparently.” He used the urban dictionary on the internet a lot to try to understand what was being said. “Come on Grandma, let’s get you back to the mansion and tuck you up in bed with a hot cocoa.”

“Don’t you dare call me Grandma. Brayden and Selene are waiting until I’m at least fifty before they can have children.”

“With their immaculate conception from just lying motionless in bed,” he teased her. Getting to his feet, he offered her his hand to help her stand.

“Exactly.” She took it and brushed down her jeans and sweater before they started making their way back to the mansion, lit in the moonlight.

“Do you think he’ll remember one day that he was there when his father died?” They stopped. The moon now shone on Jane’s face and illuminated the lines of worry that gave her character.

“It’s been eighteen years. He was only five. He was knocked unconscious.” He shook his head. “I think if he was going to remember that day he would’ve done so by now. We did the right thing not telling him.”

“I don’t know. That’s the other thing that I wonder about every day.”

“I know that he wonders about what happened, but there was nothing he could have done to change the outcome. There’s no point in putting him through the distress of reliving the pain.” He hated lying to the boy that he thought of as a surrogate son.

He’d only been eighteen when Heath had died, but he’d promised his best friend that he would care for his son as his own. That’s something Kas had done every day since.

“You’re right. I know.” Jane turned back and blew a kiss to her husband’s grave. Kas held back the pain in his heart. He couldn’t let all the old emotions surface again. He needed to be strong for the ensuing fight. He needed to beat his brother once and for all. Not just for himself and the current pack but for his best friend and their joint revenge.

  CHAPTER NINE

It’d been a month since Tyler had first slept with Teagan, and they’d spent as much time as possible together since. Not just in bed, although that comprised a lot of their time, but working together in the park and on his computers searchi
ng for information about Nuka. He did make Teagan sit further away from the keyboard though, after she’d knocked her coffee over the state-of-the-art one he’d just bought at a considerable cost. Kas was not pleased that he needed to replace it after only a few weeks. He made it very clear, that if Teagan was to be allowed in the computer room then there were to be no drinks permitted. That made it a bit problematic for him when he could spend six to seven hours a day straight in the room. He started getting a little bit dehydrated so went to Kas, yet again, to request a change in the rules or something that he could drink from that was not possible to spill. The latter won the day, and he now drank out of a funky new bottle with a straw. He felt like a child, but at least Teagan could visit him without them facing the wrath of Kas on the warpath for yet another ruined keyboard or, worse still, a computer.

He’d been in the tech room for five hours now and needed a break. He wondered where Teagan was and then remembered that she’d gone to a meeting at the Council with Kas and Jessica. They’d be staying the night there, as it was a two-day function. Despite the fact Jessica could bring them back the polar bear wanted to be seen to be social. He pushed his chair back and stretched his legs, arms, and back. He’d probably be a cripple by the time he was thirty due to the amount of time he spent hunched over. He needed to run. He wondered if any of the other guys were about. He left the computer room and strode off in the direction of the lounge. Scott and Emma were on the floor with Katia and Jane in front of them. Emma was due in a month, and they’d begun the midwife process. Despite insistence at the start that she’d have her babies in a hospital, Emma had chosen to keep with shifter tradition and have them at home. Jane and Katia were to act as her midwifes, along with Jessica. Teagan and Selene had been asked as well but declined on the basis that it would probably put them off having sex again. He and Brayden had praised them both for that decision, because they didn’t want to lose their intimacy with the ladies who shared their respective beds.
