  Jimmy came out of the house with two suitcases, one in each hand and a duffle bag under one arm. Jimmy is about six foot two and can get away carrying loads like that without looking over burdened. He tossed the duffle in the bed of the pickup and sat the two pieces of luggage in the bed up against the cab end.

  "Get into the truck husband," Rebecca said as she walked around the front of the truck and opened the driver’s door.

  "Oh, by the way,” Jimmy said, “did I ever tell you that the Apache culture is matriarchal?”

  "What's that mean?" I replied.

  "It means that she’s driving," he said.

  I saw the Chief smile.
