“You gonna mention it to his bitch ass?” Quinton asked, taking a pull from the blunt.

“I’m gonna let him bring it up to me. If he didn’t mention it, he didn’t want me to know. He should be leaving back to New York soon. He lost Victor as an supplier, so I don’t know what his next plan is, but it doesn’t concern me.

I’ve already taken a lost lending him all this money. My hands are washed with him. He’s my brother and I’ll always be there, but on a business side, I ain’t fucking with him,” I said.

Quinton nodded his head and finished off the blunt we were supposed to be sharing.

I didn’t know what Reshawn was planning for his next move, but I wasn’t about to be a partner in it. I wished him the best but he was too hot headed and hard headed to learn.

He claimed I always favored Quinton but the truth was Quinton listened and we were the most alike. I didn’t want to be still sitting in a trap house counting my money and bagging my dope like when I was younger. I could have my money deposited in my account and never have to touch drugs.

Quinton didn’t deal with the drug world anymore. He went legit and I respected him for it. I didn’t have to look over my back for rival gangs I only dealt with high end clients, usually heiress and doctors. I had a couple judges on my clients list and I liked to keep it like that. What Reshawn did was his business not mine anymore.

  Chapter Twenty- Two

  Mezzie

“What the fuck you mean you saw him with another bitch?” I asked my friend Alisha.

She still worked at the club but always called me when there was some drama.

“Like I said, he was with some bitch and they were popping bottles and cozied up in the corner like love birds. I hate to break this to you while pregnant, gurl.” She snapped her tongue.

I knew she wasn’t sorry. Her ass always had her eye on Tone and to see he was with another woman other than me made her cold heart content.

“Don’t mention it, hun. Tone is gonna be Tone so I’ll manage. I’ll talk to you later. Come by later, we can catch up and have lunch.”

“Okay, mama. I’ll be there soon.” She said ending the call.

I threw my house phone across the room and startled Tone who was sleeping right beside me. He jumped up and wiped his eyes in a confused array.

“Miranda, what the fuck is wrong with you?” he uttered.

“Why the fuck was you with another bitch in a strip club two nights ago?” I yelled getting out the bed.

“It wasn’t two nights ago. It was last night for your information. And if Alisha called you to tell you that, then the bitch need to tell you how she was fucking me in the private room two nights ago,” he mumbled, turning back over to go back to sleep.

I wasn’t done with his ass yet.

I threw my Tory Burch flat at his head. He grabbed the back of his head and climbed out the bed and put his jeans from last night back on.

“I'm getting the fuck out of here, we’re not even official and you bugging me like you my wife.”

It was a low blow to me but I wasn’t tripping. I was still winning.

“Are you fucking serious? News flash your little wife is not even you wife anymore. You’re a fucking joke, I swear. Get the fuck out.” I screamed and threw whatever that was in my reach.

He ducked and dodged before he finally made it over to where I was standing and grabbed me by my waist. I thought he was gonna be kinky and sex me like the many other times when we argued. But he pulled his fist back and punched me right in the face.

“I'm fucking tired of you bitches thinking ya’ll run shit. I run shit, not you,” he yelled and punched me again causing me to stumble back into the bathroom door.

He pulled me and pushed me onto the floor and I fell on my stomach which made me cry out in pain.

“Stop Tone! You’re hurting the baby,” I screamed out in pain, AJ had woken up and was now crying hysterically in his room

“Now you want me to stop, bitch? I told you the truth and you continued to fucking mess with me. I could give a shit about this baby bitch,” he said with his eyes zoned out.

I didn’t recognize him and I feared my life.

Tone continued to stomp, punch and whip me with his belt until I couldn’t respond back to him. I was too weak and in pain and wished I could go soothe my son and make this pain stop. I was sure the baby I was carrying was gone. His main target was my stomach and I couldn’t do anything about it.

I felt either blood or urine trickling down my legs but I was too weak to move. He finally got enough and I looked through my one good eye and saw him slipping his feet in his loafers and grabbing his coat and keys.

“Tone, please! Help me, please.” I begged.

I didn’t want him to leave me alone with AJ the way I was. I couldn’t move so I knew my son would be there screaming hours before someone found me. He turned around and took his foot and kicked me in face. Everything went black.

  Chapter Twenty-Three

  Tone

I kissed my screaming son and left the apartment. I don’t know why the bitch liked to push my buttons, but now I bet she would never push them again.

I didn’t feel bad for fucking Mezzie up; she deserved it. I never gave her the title where she felt questioning me was alright, but she still insisted on asking about my whereabouts. She thought screaming about the baby was going to stop me, it damn sure wasn’t. I didn’t care to have another baby. Hell, I didn’t even want my son in the beginning but he was here and shit couldn’t be undone.

I jumped into my car, started the ignition, and pulled out—burning rubber. I was still heated with Tyrisha. I had plans for that slut bucket. That nigga Moses had shit coming too. He knew my woman was off limits and he still fucked with her and, most disrespectfully, got her pregnant. I had a Teflon bullet waiting for his ass.

As for Quinton, my beef wasn’t with him. I knew after I did his brother dirty, his ass would feel some type of way, but after Reshawn got to him his ass would be in a pine box as well. My phone started ringing so I pressed the hands free button on my steering wheel.

  “Talk to me.”

“Hey baby, what are you doing?” Epiphany cooed through the phone with her sexy voice.

“I'm in route to my crib want to meet me there?”

“Don’t I always? I’ll see you in a little bit, baby,” she said ending the call.

I needed some relaxation after dealing with Mezzie silly ass and Epiphany was just what the doctor ordered. Sexy, smart and gave a hell of a blow job.

I pulled up to my house beside Tyrisha’s Mercedes. The bitch didn’t even take it. I killed the engine, hopped out, and walked to my front door. I let myself into the house. It was so empty and dead inside. I hadn’t been back there in a couple week since I found out Tyrisha moved out. I didn’t have a housekeeper so dust was collecting everywhere.

I threw my keys on the foyer table and went to the kitchen to find something to drink. I opened the fridge to nothing but a bottle of Cristal. I grabbed a glass and poured some in a cup. This would just have to do. I took my stash out my pocket and cut a few lines before sniffing them up my nose. I pinched my nose for added relief.

When it started to take effect I started to feel good. The bell rang so I rushed and open the door. Epiphany walked in wearing a pair of shorts, tank top and heels. She looked good enough to eat.

“Hey boo, what’s wrong? Look like your mama died,” she joked.

“I got a lot of shit on my mind right now, Get in there and cook me something,” I demanded.

She twisted her face up and looked at me crazy.

“Nigga, I didn’t come here to cook and play maid. You better grab that phone and call some take out,” she snapped her neck and walked into the living room with me on her tail.

“Ight suck this dick then,” I said unzipping my pants and releasing my dick.

I sat on my white leather sectional stroking my dick while she looked at me. She got on her knees and
crawled to me, took my dick in her hands, and started stroking it until it was at standing attention. She welcomed my dick into her warm and moist mouth and slurped, spit and deep throated it.

The way she sucked my dick was like she had suction cups on the inside of her mouth. I leaned my head back and enjoyed her deep throating my dick, she reached her hand up and began squeezing my balls, which made me even harder.

I finally reached my peak, pulled my dick out her mouth and slapped her in the face and few times before finally nutting in it.

“What the fuck Tone? I just got my hair done,” she yelled, trying to wipe it off her face and hair.

She got off the floor and stormed off to the bathroom. I got up fixed my pants and went back to the kitchen to take another hit and finish my drink.

“You really should stop using that stuff. It’s not a good look,” she said catching me sucking up the rest of my coke.

“You should stop sleeping around. It’s not a good look and nobody’s gonna wife you.” I snapped.

What was with these bitches thinking they knew me enough to state their opinion on what I chose to do?

“Alright, this is my cue to go, so I’ll talk to you later,” she said turning around and walking towards the door.

I wasn’t ready for her to go yet so I ran, caught up with her and grabbed her arm.

“Nah, let’s finish what we started,” I said pushing her against the front door and kissing her neck while she resisted which made me want her more.

“Get off me, Tone. You’re fucking geeked up. I ain’t dealing with a fucking cokehead, whether he have money or not!” She yelled kneeing me in the balls.

It brought tears to my eyes and I backed up in pain.

“I'm getting somebody to fuck your ass up. You think you’re gonna try to rape me and get away with it? Watch your back, nigga!” She yelled, leaving me holding my dick.

“Fuck you, bitch! If I wanted it, I would have got it.” I yelled, managing to get to the door so I could slam it, but her ass already was pulling out my driveway.

My neighbors were staring at the commotion.

“Fuck ya’ll, too,” I yelled, slamming my front door.

I knew she was coming back. They all did. She got use to the money, and as far as her getting someone to fuck me up, the chances were slim to none. I had more chances of being struck by lightning than her getting someone to fuck me up.

I went to the kitchen refilled my cup, grabbed my coke and retired to my den to sleep, drink and get high.

  Chapter Twenty-Four

  Tyrisha

“Baby, please call and check to see if the reservations are still on,” I asked Moses, who was still in bed like we didn’t have a place to be.

“Tyrisha, lay your ass down. You always on your feet like the doctor didn’t just tell us you might be developing preeclampsia. I canceled the damn reservations. Ain’t no way I’m putting my son in danger.” He barked at me turning over and pulling the covers over his head.

I was about to rip him a new asshole, but the doorbell rang and interrupted me. I walked to the door and peeped through the peephole. It was Moses’s sister, which was weird because the bitch never came around. I opened the door and stood in the way so she couldn’t slide swipe by.

“What’s going on, Epiphany? Moses is sleep.”

“I just really need to speak to him now do you think I could wake him up?” she asked sweetly.

“I'm up, what’s going on, Piff? Tyrisha, move out the damn door like you a security guard.” Moses said, coming out the bedroom with his robe on like he didn’t just turn over on me a couple seconds ago.

I opened the door wide and let her come in. Her hair was all messed up and her lipstick was smudged. I was sure going to be nosy to see what happened to this bitch.

Moses sat down in the sitting area while Epiphany fixed herself a drink. It was a little after twelve and the bitch was already drinking but I kept my mouth shut. She fixed herself vodka on the rocks and sat down and gulped the drink down before she started talking, she looked at the ground while she talked to Moses.

“I started messing with this dude, we’re not official or nothing, we just messed around for a while. He gave me money and took me on trips and stuff, nothing serious. Today, he invited me to his house we messed around a little. After we was done, I walked in on him sniffing coke. I told him it wasn’t a good look and turned to leave but he grabbed my arms and tried to force his self on me.”

She sniffled still looking at the floor. I got off the kitchen stool, sat next to her and rubbed her back.

“Did he rape you?” Moses asked. I could tell his blood was boiling with each second that passed.

“No, I kicked him in the balls before he could do anything else and left.”

“Who is he and where he hang out at? I told you to stop hanging with these street dudes they don’t have nothing to offer you but problems.”

“He’s not a street dude he actually owns a business. I thought he was cool until I saw he was into drugs and I wasn’t into it,” she defended.

“What’s his name?” Moses asked getting frustrated.

“I don’t know his real name, but they call him Tone and he owns a real estate business on ocean drive.” she finally revealed and I pulled my arm back from her.

It couldn’t be my Tone, it had to be another man. Tone couldn’t be dealing with drugs, especially coke, after what happened to his brother. I made a mental note to sit and talk with him. I knew I did him wrong by sleeping with Moses, but he did deserve an honest friend who could tell him he was doing wrong.

“What is this fucking world coming to? I can’t even relax without this nigga name coming into my suite with drama attached to it. Did you know that’s Tyrisha’s ex-boyfriend? This nigga needs to be dealt with. I’m tired of hearing his name!” Moses exploded with the built up anger he had been harboring the last couple of months.

“That’s why I came to you. I want him to suffer and I have no problem putting in work.” Epiphany piped up.

I knew the bitch came for a reason. I couldn’t stand Tone for what he did to me, but I in no shape or form did I want to see him hurt.

“How do we know he even tried to rape you?” I questioned.

Before I had time to process what I really wanted to ask, Moses and Epiphany both looked at me sideways.

“Who side are you on? Why would I come here and tell my brother something so personal, to be lying? That nigga pushed me against a wall and tried to fuck me!” She yelled.

I wasn’t about to get my pressure high arguing with her.

Moses never said anything to me he just gave me a look, so I sat my ass down and shut up. I didn’t need to get into an argument with him either.

“If you want me to get at that nigga, it’s up to you,” Moses asked her.

I couldn’t believe he was really hearing this bitch out. He was willing to hurt Tone based on what she had to say.

“I do. Thanks bro for believing me. It really doesn’t sound that important, but it is to me. He tried to take something from me without my permission and that’s personal,” Epiphany said getting up and kissing her brother.

She looked at me and left back out where she came from. I shrugged my shoulders and tried not to look at Moses who was staring a hole in my side of my face.

“What you said was really uncalled for. You haven’t seen that nigga in how long and you still defending him?” Moses asked, making me feel bad.

I just owed Tone so much for what I had today.

“I'm sorry baby, it’s just I don’t see Tone doing what she says he did, Tone doesn’t even touch drugs.”

Moses just got up and walked back in the room, I didn’t bother to follow him. He didn’t know the Tone I knew, then again, I didn’t know if I knew the Tone I knew. The Tone I once knew would have never cheated on me and had another female on the side with a baby. I had to see Tone and figure out what was going on and how could we move on from the spot we w
ere in.

  ***

“So let me get this right, Tone is a crackhead?” Tiffany asked.

We were sitting pool side at the hotel I was staying in.

“Not a crackhead, he does coke. I need to speak to him and see what’s wrong with him,” I defended him once again.

“Tee, stop defending him. He is not your man anymore and if you continue to defend him you’re going to lose Moses. He had a bitch on the side, so who knows what kind of shit he was into while he was out doing his dirt? How would you know he wasn’t on something if ya’ll didn’t spend more than ten minutes in the same room for months?”

I knew she was right. I had official pissed Moses off. He hadn’t spoken to me since this morning and I was slowly managing to piss Tiff off, too. I needed to get myself together and forget about Tone.

The real reason I was so concerned about Tone was because I knew there was a possibility he was the father of the child I was carrying. One night, me and Tone had a drunken love moment and slipped during my side relationship with Moses. I never told Moses, that’s why he believed the baby was his and not Tone’s. To be honest I didn’t know who my baby father was, but I was praying it was Moses’s and not Tone’s.

“I'm always on your side, Tee, you’re finally happy and you’re welcoming a baby into the world soon, so please stick with your man. Leave Tone. He is a grown man and I’m sure if he’s going down the wrong road he will find out right away. He’s a big boy.” She smiled rubbing my stomach.

“I know you’re right. What’s going on with you, Quint, and Reshawn?”

“Nothing really. I just moved into my new house so I’m happy about that. I didn’t want to be in Quint’s house too long. We’re still dating and I would like to keep it that way I moved fast with Reshawn and you see how that turned out. I haven’t heard anything from Reshawn and I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.” She sighed.

“It’s the calm before the storm, we can’t do nothing but sit still and wait so we can weather the storm together.” I laughed even though I knew my storm would be something compared to Hurricane Katrina.
