“Why didn’t you tell us your cousin was down with Da Untouchables?” Irv asked.

“He said not to. He wanted to tell feel y’all out first. Aye, Dwayne and them are making mad paper. If he’s gonna give us a chance to get down with them, then we better take it.” Nard validated.

  “A’ight, we’ll see what’s up,” Damien retorted.

The next day on Lennox and 125th Damien showed up and saw Dwayne’s red Mercedes-Benz parked in front of a bodega.

“What’s up young nigga? Get in.” Dwayne unlocked the passenger’s side for him and Damien got in his car.

  “So what’s up?” Damien asked.

“You ready to go? I like that. Listen, I’ve got a little job for you. I need you to take this and deliver it to this address. Ask for Victor and give it to him and only him. Don’t open the bag.”

Damien looks at Dwayne oddly. “So you want me to be your fuckin’ delivery boy?” Damien asked annoyed.

Dwayne chuckled. “Consider this an entry-level position. If you show me you can handle this, then we’ll see about moving you up the corporate ladder,” Dwayne said to him.

“A’ight, but I ain’t no damn delivery boy,” Damien repeated as he took the bag.

“Remember, this is grown man business,” Dwayne said to him seriously.

“I got this.” Damien responded and got out of the car and put the backpack on.

It was a cold day as Damien walked down the sidewalk. He could see his breath as the cold air hit his face. He was focused on getting down with this crew. He was tired of the nickel and dime hustle he was doing. He took the subway to uptown Manhattan where the address on the paper was located. He was surprised when he saw where he was making his delivery to: the law firm of Morgan & Simmons.

This is some crazy shit! He got me transporting blow to a fuckin’ law firm! Damien thought to himself. He had half a mind to turn around and say fuck it, but this was the opportunity he had been waiting for. He wanted to get down with a major crew like Da Untouchables. So Damien manned up and walked right through the front doors of the law firm and straight up to the secretary.

“How may I help you?” the white lady behind the desk asked him.

“Yeah, I’m here to see Victor.”

“Victor? You mean Mr. Morgan?” she clarified.

“Yeah, Vic. Is he here?” Damien snapped.

She turned her lip up, “Okay, just hold on.”

The secretary called Victor and told him that a young black male was here to see him. One minute later a white man dressed in a business suit came down the hallway towards Damien. He looked like Michael Douglas in the movie The Firm.

“Yo, are you Victor?” Damien asked him.

“Yeah, just come with me.” Damien followed him to a small conference room.

“You’re new, huh?” Victor asked him.

  “Yeah man.”

“Dwayne sent you? What happen to Omar?” Victor asked him.

“Listen, I don’t know Omar from a fucking hole in the wall. I don’t have all night. This is for you,” Damien said as he gave him the bag.

“Yeah, and in the future tell Dwayne to tell me he’s sending someone new.” Victor retorted, and then handed him a manila envelope filled with money.

“Whatever nigga.” Damien snatched the envelope, stuffed it in his pocket, and walked out the door.

An hour later Damien called Dwayne and met him on Lennox again. He was annoyed that Dwayne sent him to a law firm of all places. He opened the car door and jumped into the passenger’s seat.

“Aye, why didn’t you tell me that was a law firm I was taking that shit to?”

Dwayne shrugged, “It didn’t matter. They’re a business partner. You got the job done.”

  “Business partner?” Damien asked confused.

“I told you this was a grown man business. We deal with the niggas in the hood and corporate America. Money talks.”

“So I see. Here.” Damien gave him the vanilla envelope. Dwayne opened it and counted out $25,000 in cash.

“Here you go.” Dwayne gave Damien $500. Damien had never gotten so much money at once. “Go buy yourself some new clothes, nigga, and here, take this.” Dwayne gave him a brand new Glock 19.

“A’ight my nigga, good looking out. So when can I get some more work?”

He nodded, and then said, “I’ll be in touch.”

Damien got out of the car and put his Glock under his waist. If this was a taste of the big leagues then Damien knew he wanted more of it. Finally, things in his life were starting to go his way. His mom wasn’t giving him grief at home, he had a girl that would freak him anytime he wanted, and he was finally able to get real money with a major crew.

  The Streets Is Watching

  July 1993

It was 1993 and 18-year-old Damien was living the life of a hustler for the first time in his short life. For the past six months he had been making deliveries for Dwayne three times a week. He was making about five to six grand a week being a delivery boy for Dwayne. It was more money than he had ever seen in his young life. Dwayne saw his hunger and took him under his wing as a protégé.

Stacy and him were still together and Damien was able to spend more cash on her. Damien wasn’t in love but he was defiantly hooked on her sex. With that power she wielded over his penis, Stacy was able to dig her way even further into Damien’s pockets. Damien didn’t think it was trickin’ if he could afford it.

Dwayne was showing him the business and how they got the heroin from Peter Caracappa, who was connected with The Mafia organization in New York. Caracappa would deliver kilos of heroin to Bishop by placing the drugs in rental car trunks, and then dropping the car back at the rental offices owned by a friend of Bishop who helped him start the business. Bishop would then process the uncut heroin in Harlem in the apartments where naked women would only be wearing an oxygen mask and panties to prevent them from stealing any product.

Damien was soaking up the game in more ways than one. He upgraded his gear and was now wearing Timberland boots, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, and Karl Kani jeans. He also was flossing with an iced out Rolex and a golden cross around his neck. He was even able to buy himself a black 4-Runner truck and put 24-inch rims on it. Of course Damien was using his new source of income to help Irv and Nard floss too. They started to call their little clique The Flip Set. Dwayne had Irv and Nard selling dope on the block. He really didn’t want Nard to be a part of it. Dwayne knew Nard wasn’t really suited maturity-wise to be in the game like Damien and Irv. He wasn’t his father so he let him get down at his own risk.

Even with this newfound money he was making, Damien still wanted to be more than a delivery boy for Dwayne. He was still making deliveries to Victor at the law firm of Morgan & Simmons. He would also make drops at industry parties for rappers and R&B stars. He would be surprised at the people he found out were cokeheads in the industry. NBA and NFL stars where some of the biggest buyers of coke and heroin. Damien knew he could only be delivering drugs for only a little bit longer. The risks were high for certain deliveries. He noticed that cop cars would follow him in certain parts of town. Not to mention the stick-up kids that would try and creep up on him over on 119th. He even saw niggas watching and following him on his routes.

Despite all this risk, Damien still hadn’t seen Bishop for himself. He started to ask Dwayne for more important things to do, and Dwayne knew that Damien could handle it. But the time wasn’t right to be bringing a new guy around Bishop yet.

“Yo, Dwayne I’m getting tired of doing this UPS type of shit. You know some niggas tried to rob me last week. I had seen some niggas watching me.”

“I know. Trust me, Dame, things are gonna change real soon. Do you know who those niggas were that were following you?” Dwayne asked him.

“Naw, I ain’t never seen them niggas before.”

“Hmm, we’re gonna have to watch out for them niggas then.”

Dwayne knew that Damien needed a distraction to get
his mind off of the bullshit going on around him. “Aye, are you still with that Stacy chick?” Dwayne asked.

  “Yeah, we cool.”

“Are you in love with that bitch?” Dwayne purposely said bitch to see how he would react.

“Love is for suckas. She just got some bomb ass pussy. You gotta keep bitches like that around.” Damien calmly replied. Dwayne was impressed with his protégé’s mind frame.

“Good, ‘cause I’m gonna show you some ass tonight that will blow your mind.”

Dwayne took Damien to an underground stripper party that was being held in a warehouse out in Brooklyn. The invitation was only by word of mouth, usually starting in the strip clubs by the club owners. Every now and then a few owners would find a secluded location and rent it out for the party, and they would have a cover charge of a hundred dollars a head to get in. There they would have about 20 to 30 girls from the strip club dance, and provide V.I.P. rooms for other sexual activities that you would come to an agreement with the girl on.

When they got to the party the spot was packed with hustlers, playas, and just all around horny niggas that came for some action. The DJ was bumping Rump Shaker by Wreckx-N-Effect and all kind of ass was shaking and gyrating in there. Men would have one girl in a circle as she popped, jiggled, and dropped it for them as they felt her up. One guy was lying on the ground while this one chick popped her naked pussy over his face. As Dwayne and Damien walked through the place, women could sense the money they had, and would shake a little something for them.

“Damn, Dwayne, how come I’ve never heard of this shit before?”

“It’s by word of mouth only, my nigga. I told you I was gonna take care of you.”

All the girls in the building looked good dancing half naked, but this one chick got Damien’s attention more than the rest. She was about 5’4”, thick in the waist, and pretty in the face. She looked kind of like a ghetto version of Veronica Webb back in the day. She was wearing a yellow bikini top that barely held in her big ass titties. She had a sheer wrap around her waist that was see-through and revealed her G-String underneath.

“Yo, I’m gonna go check something out my nigga.” Damien said to Dwayne.

  “Don’t hurt yourself nigga.”

Damien made his way over to her and she smiled at him. “Damn ma, how you doing?”

“Better now that you came over.” She turned around and started grinding on him.

Damien had never had an ass that thick on him. His dick was harder than ever before.

“You like it daddy?” she asked as she touched her toes and made her ass gyrate even faster.

“Hell Yeah.” Damien droned while holding on to her ass with two hands.

  She rose back up.

“You’ll like it even better in V.I.P.” She seductively crooned.

“How much more is it for the V.I.P. treatment?”

“A hundred for an hour,” she replied.

“I can handle that. What do they call you?”

  “Kem.”

With that she took his hand and led him to the V.I.P. section down the hall. As they walked down the hallway, Damien could see niggas getting head in one room, and others hitting hoes from the back. Kem took him to a V.I.P. room, which was just a poorly lit room with a leather couch in it. A blue light illuminated the room as Kem closed the door.

“Cash first,” Kem requested before anything was done.

Damien took out a hundred dollar bill and gave it to her.

  “How about some head first?”

She held out her hand, and then said, “That will be an extra fifty.”

“Damn, who ever said love don’t cost a thing?”

“Not me,” Kem frankly replied to him.

Damien gave her a fifty. Kem quickly put it in her bikini top as Damien unzipped his pants and pulled out his dick. Kem was delighted with what Damien was working with.

At least he doesn’t have an infant penis, she thought to herself as she got on her knees and licked the head of his penis. She spit a lot of saliva on his dick and with two hands lubed him up.

Damn, at least I’m gonna get my money’s worth with this bitch! Damien thought to himself as she put his whole dick in her mouth at once and sucked the skin off his dick.

  “Damn, do ya thing ma.”

This was even better than the way Stacy sucked him off. Kem was a beast the way she rapidly bobbed her head up and down his dick, and then spit more salvia on his dick and gave him some more. Damien closed his eyes and placed his hand on her head as she gave him the business. Finally, Damien had to pull out before he blew his load in her mouth. He had paid for the pussy too and wasn’t going to be shorted.

“Stand up and sit on the couch.”

Kem obeyed his request and took a Magnum condom out of her pouch and gave it to him.

“You come prepared huh?” Damien said with a grin.

  “And you know it.”

Damien rolled the condom on as Kem removed her wrap and G-String and spread her legs for him. Damien stared at her fat pussy, and then grabbed her ankles and lifted them to his shoulders as he pushed his dick into her warm walls. Damien then began to mercilessly pound away at Kem’s fat pussy.

  “Aahh shit!” Kem moaned.

Damn this nigga can fuck! Kem thought to herself. Damien was standing with his legs spread and Kem’s legs on his shoulders thrusting away for twenty minutes until he felt himself ejaculate a load of hot cum into the condom. He went limp with Kem, leaning on her. Damien pulled himself together and pulled his pants back up.

Damn that pussy was good, he thought.

“Hey so where do you be dancing at on the regular?” he asked.

“The Kandi Club in Harlem on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.” Kem said as she put back on her G-String bikini.

“The Kandi Club? I might have to come through sometime and see you ma.”

  “Anytime. What’s your name?”

  “They call me Dame.”

“I’ll have to remember that,” Kem smiled.

Damien left the V.I.P. area and went back out to the main room to find Dwayne. As he walked through, he didn’t see him, and figured he must’ve found some ass and took it back to V.I.P. After he enjoyed a few more dances, Damien still didn’t see Dwayne, and decided to look for him in the V.I.P. section. He went down the hallway, but most of the rooms were empty. He heard some niggas arguing down another hallway, and he crept down there. As he walked closer to the voices, he could hear what they were saying.

“Bitch ass nigga!” Damien heard one dude say, and then he heard someone getting punched.

Damien pulled his Glock 19 from the back of his waist and tiptoed further to a back room. He peeked into the room and saw three dudes standing over Dwayne on the couch. They had beaten Dwayne mercilessly. Blood dripped from his mouth down his chin, and his left eye was black. Damien’s heart raced as he gripped his hand on his gun. These were the same dudes that had been following him since last week. They had followed them all the way out here in Brooklyn.

“Yo, let’s just blast this fool and find his little buddy,” Another one spat.

Little buddy? Damien was pissed that, that’s how they saw him. Another dude raised his gun to shoot Dwayne, and that’s when Damien moved in without a word. Damien blasted at the back of his head, and it exploded with red and gray matter splattering on the wall. He fell on the couch.

“Oh shit!” The second nigga yelled as he turned to fire his piece, but Damien shot him through his eye like a marksman as blood splattered on the third dude. It was the first time Damien had killed. The funny thing was that he felt no remorse at all. Dwayne quickly grabbed a long, sharp shard of glass, and stabbed the third dude in the ribs. He shrieked in pain.

“Who’s the bitch ass now?” Dwayne yelled.

Damien looked down the hall to see if anybody was coming, and then said, “Come on, Dwayne, let’s go!”

“Who you working for?” Dwayne asked dude number three.
/>   “Nobody!” he yelled back. Dwayne twisted the glass, and the dude let loose a blood-curdling scream as blood gushed from his ribs.

  “Papi Glock,” he yelled.

“Come on Dwayne, let’s get the fuck outta here, man!” Damien insisted. Dwayne then pulled the glass out of his ribs, grabbed his gun, and shot him in the head.

“Punk ass mutha’fucka.” He took his money back out of another dude’s pocket. They rushed out of the warehouse and to Dwayne’s Benz. Damien drove as Dwayne rested on the passenger side.

  “You alright Dwayne?”

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Damn Dame, you came through like the Terminator on them bitches!” Dwayne yelled.

“Those were the same niggas that tried to rob me.”

“Yeah, those mutha’fuckas caught me slipping after I got some head from this bitch. You saved my life, Dame. I won’t forget that. You a thro nigga.”

From that night Damien became Dwayne’s man for life.

  A Big Momma Thing

  August 1993

“I’m glad you have time to spend with me Dame,” Stacy said to him as they sat in White Castle eating lunch.

The restaurant was half crowded with young couples dining together. Damien stared lustfully at Stacy’s succulent breast in a low cut blouse as she ate her French fries.

“Well, ya you know a nigga is out here grinding yo'. I gotta be able to lace my lady with that fly shit.” He caressed her neckline with a new gold necklace and name plate he just bought for her. Stacy smiled at him.

“I know, and thank you, baby, but I wish I could see more of you.”

  “Maybe you can,” Damien hinted.

  “How?”

“I’m moving into my own place today. Maybe you should just come and stay with me.” Stacy looked at Damien trying to determine if he was serious.

“Are you for real? When did you get your own place?”

“I got a place a few days ago. So what do you think?”

“Well, my mom would never let me do it. Besides what about your mom, is she gonna let you just move out?”
