He was over me in seconds. His mouth and hands were everywhere. He kissed my neck before moving down. I lifted my arms for him to remove my shirt. When he unclasped and pulled my bra from my breasts, I heard him hiss.

  “Fucking beautiful,” he whispered.

His mouth went to my nipple and licked circles around it. My back arched and I moaned as he pulled it between his teeth. His fingers were on the other side, pinching and rolling my other nipple through his fingers. He was exactly what I needed. When he moved slowly down my body with his mouth, his hands stayed on my breasts. He kissed down my stomach to the top of my skirt. I was already moving beneath him. His hands left my breasts to move my skirt down my legs. When his tongue licked up my inner thigh, I moaned. He grabbed my black panties, and in one quick motion, they were gone. The sound of them ripping bounced off of the walls of my bedroom. His mouth was on me in seconds.

He wasn't wasting time. I was so relieved. I wasn't in the mood or slow and teasing. Not one bit. I needed hard and fast. His finger began rubbing my clit just as his tongue entered me. I didn't know his name, and I didn't care. That wasn't something I was going to need to remember when he was gone. I grabbed the back of his head and pulled his face closer. He let out a groan that vibrated inside of me when I ground against his face. My other hand was grabbing my sheet and holding on for dear life. I wasn't holding back, not one bit. When I cried out, I didn't care who could hear me. That didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was getting Jay out of my head. Even if it was only for an hour or two. I needed time without him in it. The guy who had his face between my legs knew exactly what he was doing. I was climbing toward an orgasm faster than I had in so long. His finger pressed firmly on my clit and moved with the motion that his tongue was thrusting into me. I flew over the edge and screamed out as my pussy tightened around his tongue.

When he pulled back, I couldn't wait for what I knew what coming. He crawled up my body and covered my mouth with his. I could taste myself on his tongue and moaned into his mouth. When I grabbed the hem of his t-shirt, I couldn't wait to feel what I knew was beneath it. He lifted each arm while I slipped it off of him. I broke our kiss long enough to pull it over his head. My hands went to his chest. I needed to feel his skin against the tips of my fingers. He was a very sexy man, and he wanted me. I wasn't dumb enough to think he'd be there in the morning. He'd leave as soon as we were done. That was exactly how I wanted it as well. No emotional connection. No exchanging of personal information. No seeing each other again. I wasn't interested in any of that. I would never give my heart away. No man would ever have a chance to control me. I didn't want to end up like my mother, doing things for him and never for myself.

I hurried to undo his jeans and shoved at them. He stood up, kicked them off, reached in his pocket, and was back before I knew it. I heard the rip of the wrapper and watched him roll the only thing that would be between us down his long, thick shaft. He wasn't huge, but he was still impressive. I didn't care. All I needed was him inside of me. He needed to push the thoughts from my mind. When he hovered over me, I could feel how hard he was against my entrance. I held the back of his head while we kissed and wrapped my legs around his waist. He didn't enter me slowly, and for that I was thrilled. I tightened my legs and pulled him into me deeper. He thrust into me deep and hard, and I cried out. As he continued pumping into me, filling me completely, Jay's face appeared in my mind. What the fuck, I thought? My hands went to the guys back. I held his muscles and loved the feel of them tightening when he thrust into me. The tips of my fingers dug into his skin as I tried to get closer. I needed to get lost in him.

“Harder,” I begged. “Fuck me harder.”

He growled in the air as he picked up the pace. There was nothing soft or loving about what we were doing. It was rough and aggressive. My hips went up to match his thrusts as he fucked me as deep as he possibly could. He pulled back, grabbed behind my knees, and shoved them toward my chest. I was surprised by the difference of the angle and cried out each time he hit that perfect spot. With each thrust, he moved me up the bed. I put my hand up to stop my head from hitting the headboard. Then I put my other hand up and pushed against it, making him hit me even deeper. I cried out and mumbled who knows what. There was sweat dripping from both of us. Make me forget, I thought to myself.

My back arched and my hips met his. I was so close to coming. When his finger went to my clit and he fucked me deep, I screamed out and came so hard. It felt so good to come without touching myself. Two more thrusts and he was coming right along with me. He growled out as he twitched inside of me. We both rode out our orgasms before his body came down on mine. He was so damn muscular.

When I opened my eyes, I closed them tight again. The light was too bright coming in the window. My head was pounding. I heard the ding of my phone and reached over to grab it. Oh shit! There was a hard body beside me. What the hell did I do, I thought? I slowly opened my eyes and moved to sit up. Ouch! I covered my head with my hands. It hurt so bad. Why did I do that to myself? I turned to see the very sexy man next to me who was only slightly covered by the sheet. Then I wondered what he would think when he saw me. I reached over him to grab my phone, then quickly got out of bed and made my way to my bathroom. My eyes were burning and my head was kicking my ass. I hadn't drank like that since I moved to California.

As soon as I closed the bathroom door, I hit the button for my phone. There was a text from Jared. Really, I thought. It was Sunday morning. Couldn't he just get out of my life for one day? I pulled up the text. As soon as I read it, my phone slid from my fingers and crashed to the floor in pieces. My hand went over my mouth, as I slid down the bathroom door to the floor. Sobs escaped me without warning as I saw those two words over and over in my mind.

  “Happy Birthday!”

  My Stepbrother the Billionaire #3

With my arms on my knees and my head in my hands, I cried huge tears. How the fuck did he know, I wondered? Did he remember on his own, or did he find out from my company somehow? He was a very rich man. It was possible that he had files on all of the people working on his projects. No matter what it was, it shook me to the bone.

I couldn't help but feel shame for the way I behaved the previous night. My body was sore and tired. I needed rest. If my head didn't stop pounding, I was going lose my mind. I grabbed something from the cabinet above my sink and washed it down with some water. The guy from the club was still in my bed. I had no idea how I was going to get rid of him. Just thinking about how much I drank and the way I was dancing had my face red with embarrassment. How could I be so careless, I thought? I brought the guy back to my place and didn't kick him out when we were finished. When I looked down at my phone, I cringed. What was I going to tell Mr. Daniels? I picked up the pieces and tried my best to put them back together, but it was no use. The phone was toast. One good thing came from that. I didn't have to deal with Jared for the rest of the day. With a broken phone, I couldn't respond to his text.

I put on my robe that was on the back of my bathroom door, held the pieces of the phone in my hand, and opened the door to face the man in my bed. He was sitting up with his head in his hands and the sheet covering just that one spot. There was no doubt about it, he was incredibly sexy. The guy was built like one of those sexy cover models. What the hell he was doing in my apartment, I had no idea. Of course I did. It was because I put out without even knowing his name. He looked up at me with a smile. His hair was messy and his eyes looked as tired as mine felt. When he stood and let the sheet fall to the floor, I gasped and closed my eyes. He let out a laugh and walked passed me and into my bathroom.

When he came out, he grabbed his boxers and pulled them on. His jeans followed along with his t-shirt. I stood nervously shifting from side to side, unsure of what to say. He slipped his feet into his shoes before looking into my eyes.

  “Hungry?” I asked.

  “I don't know,” he said.

“I can make breakfast before you leave.

“No thanks,” he said. “Can I get your number?”

I looked down at the broken phone in my hand and laughed.

“Not really sure when I'll have one again.”

He nodded and we both walked toward my apartment door.

“Maybe I'll see you again,” he said.

  “Maybe,” I whispered.

That wasn't happening. It would never happen again. He was supposed to make me forget, but it hadn't worked. I shut the door behind him, walked back to my room, and fell back onto my bed. That was where I stayed the entire day and night. As always, Jared was the only thing on my mind.

Monday morning came way faster than I would have liked. I knew I was going to have to tell Mr. Daniels I broke my phone, and he wasn't going to be happy about it. Then I'd have to say something to Jared about the birthday text. Maybe I wouldn't. If I ignored him the whole day, we could move on without mention of it. I got dressed in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. My hair was up, but I didn't bother putting makeup on. My head was still kicking my ass. I really hadn't drank like that in a long time. My stomach sounded like it was going to rip itself from my body. I was starving. On the way out the door, I grabbed my bag for work and a piece of fruit to eat on the way over.

When I walked into the office, the receptionist was on the phone. I hurried through the other doors and headed for the break room. My office would have to wait. Coffee, I needed coffee. I grabbed the biggest cup I could find and filled it to the top. Then I grabbed a bagel and slathered it with cream cheese. It looked like the best tasting thing in the world. Juggling my bag, the coffee, and the bagel, I walked to my office and pushed the cracked door open with my foot. I walked to my desk, put the coffee down, and let out a huff. When my chair moved, I freaking jumped so damn high and screamed. Yes, I let out an ear-piercing scream. You know the kind. It was straight out of a horror movie. My bag dropped from my hand which flew over my chest. Of course, I didn't drop the bagel. Hell no. That was like gold after waiting a day and a half to eat.

I looked down in my chair into the eyes of Jared. The look on my face was far from pleasant. I could feel my nostrils open wide and narrowed my eyes.

“What are you doing in my office?” I asked.

The fucker had a smart-ass smirk on his face. He was trying not to laugh. I could see him fighting it.

“I didn't mean to scare you,” he said. “The girl out front was on the phone, so I walked passed her. When I saw you weren't in your office, I figured I'd wait for you. You said you come in at nine. I wasn't aware you were going to be late.”

“I wasn't late,” I said. “I stopped in the break room for coffee and a bagel.”

I shook the bagel in front of his face as I spoke.

“I didn't realize we had a meeting this morning,” I added.

“If you would have checked your text messages yesterday, you would have known. I sent you five messages total.”

I reached in my pocket, grabbed the pieces of my phone, and dropped them on the desk.

“My phone had a slight mishap yesterday,” I said.

That's it, I thought. I was going to act like I hadn't received any of his messages.

  “Really?” he asked.

  “Really,” I answered sarcastically.

“So you got none of the messages from me?” he asked, as he rubbed his chin.

It wasn't as clean shaven as it normally had been when he was at our office. I was actually surprised by his appearance. He looked tired and not as put together as usual. Maybe he'd had a little too much fun over the weekend himself. His eyes narrowed, but he didn't say anything.

Mr. Daniels walked in while I was still standing on the wrong side of my desk. The two men began talking right away. They babbled on for a few minutes before Jared grabbed my phone pieces from the desk.

“Tabitha needs a new phone,” he said. “She wasn't expecting me to be here when she walked in. I think I scared her.”

“No problem,” Mr. Daniels said. “I'll get right on that so you can have that line of communication open.”

He took the phone parts from Jared and turned to walk out. I was actually kind of pissed. He wouldn't have been that nice to me. Since Jared told him, he was totally fine with it. I shook my head.

“You didn't have to do that,” I said. “I was the one that broke it.”

He waved my comment away with his hand and stood, as he motioned for me to take my seat.

“I came to see how things were going since you didn't answer my messages,” he said.

I opened my bag and pulled out a stack of stuff before sitting down and taking a bite out of my bagel. There was no waiting for him to leave. He could have been there for hours, and I was hungry.

“Everything is fine,” I said just as I swallowed my food.

  “Hungry?” he asked.

“Starving,” I answered. “What did you want to talk about?”

“Did you do anything fun this weekend?”

“Just some things I'd like to forget and some I can't even remember,” I answered.

There was no way I wanted him to think he meant anything to me just in case he remembered who I was. I was fine with letting him wonder about what I had done. It didn't matter one bit.

“Do you always do that?” he asked.

  “What?”

“Dance and grind with strange men?” he asked.

I choked on the bite I had just taken from my bagel and my eyes widened.

  “Excuse me,” I snapped.

“So just Saturday then,” he said with a nod.

I looked him in the eyes, and he motioned for me to look next to my desk. When I looked down, I took a deep breath in. My shoes I'd left at the club were sitting on the floor beside me.

“Can we get back to work please?” I asked sternly.

  “It just looked unsafe, Tabitha.”

  “It doesn't matter,” I said.

  “Why not?” he asked.

“Look Jay, uh Jared,” I said harshly.

“What did you just say?” he asked.

“I haven't had to answer to anyone since the day I graduated high school, Mr. Blackwell. I never plan on having to do that again. I'm a big girl. If I put myself in an unsafe situation, I'll be the one to take care of it. It's no concern of yours. Your project will be done, to your liking, by the deadline. That's the only thing we need to discuss.”

“I just don't like women putting themselves in dangerous situations in my club,” he began, but I cut him off.

“You seemed to be pretty busy yourself,” I said, as I slammed my hands down on my desk. “I'm just fine. No need to pretend you care.”

“I was worried when you didn't answer my text messages yesterday,” he said.

“Maybe I was still busy,” I growled out. “I do have a life you know. This project isn't everything. It's just my job.”

“So, your phone broke before I sent the messages. Are you sure you weren't just ignoring them? You don't have to be the one I deal with you know. You could always tell Mr. Daniels you can't handle it.”

I stood from my chair and leaned over my desk so I could look into those cocky eyes. He thought he was better than everybody, but I didn't give two shits about his money or his power.

“How did you know?” I demanded.

“How did I know what?” he asked with a grin.

It seriously took all I had not to smack the shit out of him right there in my office.

“How did you know it was my birthday?” I asked, looking deep into his eyes.

He opened his mouth but stopped when Mr. Daniels walked through the door.

“Here's your new phone, Tabitha,” he said in a happy tone.

I looked up and plastered the largest, most fake smile I could come up with on my face.

“Thank you, Mr. Daniels,” I said. “Mr. Blackwell was just leaving. I'm going to go meet with the team.”

“Great,” Mr. Daniels said. “Why don't we go out for breakfast, Jared?”

“I have another meeting,” Jared answered. “Maybe another time. Have a good day, Tabitha.”

Jared got up and walked out the door. My adrenaline was pumping. I felt like I was losing control.

  “Everything okay?” Mr. Daniels asked.

  “Perfect,” I answered.

I spent the rest of the workday in the conference room with the rest of the team. We were working very hard and accomplished a lot. Mr. Daniels was starting to let us work without him over our shoulders every moment. For that I was happy. I couldn't stand the pressure of him commenting on everything we did.

Just before five, we decided we were done for the day. Our goal for that session had been met. We agreed if we got a certain amount done, we would leave on time. I know every one of us worked our hardest. Not a single one of us felt like staying.

I logged into my bank account and transferred money so I could pay my student loan bill for the month. When I logged into my student loan account, it said I had a zero balance. I knew it was a huge mistake. It had to be. I owed four years of loans. It was no joke. I knew I had to get it fixed. If I waited and the bank caught the error, I'd owe interest. Somehow it always worked out in their favor. That was for sure. I sat on hold for over an hour. It was really pissing me off. The one day I was able to leave, I was taking care of bills. When the woman answered the phone, she sounded just as tired as I felt. I knew it wasn't her fault I had to wait so long and tried my best to hide my irritation. She took all of my information and let me know what I was calling for was very unusual. I waited for her to pull up my account and check my payment information. She verified the payment I made a month before and what the balance was. Then she told me something that blew me away. Friday night, someone made a phone payment for the remainder of my loan. I told her it was a mistake and they needed to look into it. She assured me that the transaction was complete and paid to the correct account. My loan was paid-in-full. I was free of the payment and a receipt of final payment had been mailed earlier that day.
