The Nature of Water and Air

Page 31

by Regina McBride

I love the way myths suggest that in an act of desperation there might be a concealed harmony with nature. In the same way that her mother has been pulled back to her “origins,” Clodagh is intensely compelled to find her own. Without realizing the extent to which she does so, she chases the truth about who she is until she finds herself at its very heart.
