One's True Love Page 13

  “PUSH!” he growled out demanding.

  “No. The doctor!” Kailee whined.

“Kailee I will catch it don’t worry. But you need to push before it suffocates. NOW PUSH!” He used his alpha tone and she didn’t complain any more.

She grunted as she pushed with all her might. Within minutes he held a baby covered in goo and blood. He began to wrap it up then hand it over to Michelle who was standing nearby. ‘One down, two more to go.’ He thought to himself as the next baby began to appear. He didn’t regard whether his children were boys or girls he just grabbed them and wrapped them as he handed them off to another person to get them cleaned up.

He continued to demand Kailee to push after each baby; one right after another, out they came. Babies. The first had been handed to Michelle who had cleaned it up and diapered it and rewrapped it before sitting down impatiently with the baby. Sarah, cleaned the one next baby then passed it to Lilly to care for and waited for the next baby. All three babies out and cleaned Trenton encouraged her to push once more to expel the contents which held the babies originally.

Yet what surprised him more was not the sack that came out but a forth baby. It was much smaller than the rest. “I need another blanket!” He demanded as he caught the little thing.

“Oh my …” He breathed softly as he held on to the last baby in amazement. “Kailee… we have four.” He breathed softly the tiny creature stared up at him with bright eyes. He began to gently clean off the tiny girl. He looked up to find that Sarah was smiling brightly.

“Trenton you have two boys and two girls.” She announced proudly. It was an amazing thing for alphas to have babies but it was by far the most amazing and proudest moments to announce that an alpha gave birth to a boy. It meant to the pack that they would be taken care of. A successor was born and would care for the pack.

“How can that be?” He asked confused. He was sure the doctor had saw three girls.

“Let me explain.” The doctor announced breathlessly as he stepped through the doorframe. He first went over to check on each baby listening to their hearts and breathing. He walked up to Kailee and began to attach a monitor and look her over then he went to Trenton patting his shoulder “You did good. I’m sorry I am late alpha.”

“Yes. Well… explain.” Trenton shrugged as he sat down next to Kailee exhaustedly. She was now sleeping quietly.

“The babies in the front must have been the little girls. The other babies’ images must have been mostly a reflection of the little girls in the front. I am sorry for the mix up but it does happen once and a while.” The doctor apologized.

“Well how are they all doing? How is Kailee doing?” Trenton asked as he brushed her hair back from her face.

“Good. Her heart rate is returning back to normal. This really was unexpected. The babies should have been another two weeks or so, yet they are perfectly developed even the tiny little girl.”

“Thank you doctor.” Trenton nodded. “Jade, will you please go back to my room and get Kailee’s baby name book off the night stand. She has a list of names inside it. I would like to see it.” Trenton asked.

“Sure.” Jade replied and trotted off down the hallway.

“Kailee…” Trenton cooed as he kissed her gently on the cheek.

“Mmm.” She replied. “Oh. Trenton how are the babies?” She began to sit up.

“Shh… rest darling, they are fine. Would you like to hold them? We have two girls and two boys.” Trenton replied as he pressed Kailee’s should back into the bed.

Jade returned and handed Trenton the baby book with the list of names. He noted that Kailee hadn’t even considered boys names. Then he had a thought. “Lilly, Jade would you too go down to the store and purchase boy things for my two sons?” He begged.

“Of course Trent. What about the extra girl things?” Lilly asked.

“Don’t worry about those right now. I have plan for them.” He smiled.

Lilly placed the baby she held into Trenton’s arms and grabbed Jade’s hand so they could shop. They drove quickly to the stores which they had found the cutest items before. Both filled carts with baby boy clothing, blankets, and four baby bed sets, two for each boy. They then returned with the items and hurried them up stairs to set up along with that of the girl items they had originally purchased. Lilly thanked herself multiple times for choosing a more neutral color for the nursery. It wouldn’t need to be painted, which she was glad for.

After Jade and Lilly had placed the items in the correct locations and changed around the baby bed sets they returned to Kailee and Trenton, who had now been down in the living room watching television holding their babies. It was nearly six hours since they had originally left the house and it was time Kailee seen the babies’ nursery.

“Trent ah… Kailee … would you two like to see the new nursery?” Lilly asked nervously. Of course they wanted to see it but she hoped they liked it. Lilly and Jade each took a baby along with Claire and Leah who had both been chosen to help care for the children when the proud alphas needed a rest. Trenton scooped his angel up into his arms and kissed her then walked up stairs to the nursery with Kailee at his side.

“Okay… close your eyes.” Jade demanded quietly as they neared the door. Kailee closed her eyes but Trenton refused. He didn’t want to take a chance at walking into a wall with Kailee at his side.

  “Okay open!” Lilly screamed.

Kailee and Trenton both gasped lightly at the beautiful nursery. Lilly had done a great job designing the area. The walls were covered with a jungle theme mural; cute animals surrounded the room along with rolling green hills and a big waterfall. Each delicately decorated little crib had jungle animals on them the only difference was the back ground colors, one purple, one pink, one green, and the last blue. Stuffed jungle animals were laid out strategically around the room and at the far end was a rocking chair on either side of the large bedroom window. The ceiling was painted blue with clouds and the floor, medium hardwood.

“OH, THANK YOU ALL!” Kailee cried. Trenton moved his arm and Kailee glided around the room gently touching everything. A large walk in closet had boys’ clothes and extra blankets on one side while the other side was stocked with girls’ items. Kailee’s eyes began to tear up as she rushed back to Trenton. “It’s beautiful and amazing…” She murmured into his chest. He smiled and kissed the top of her forehead as he pushed away gently to take hold of his children.

Trenton gently placed each baby into their cribs and returned to Kailee to escort her to the rocker chair. “Sweetheart how about we sit and figure out names.”

“Oooo when you do… I can print them above the cribs on the wall if you would like.” Lilly smiled.

“Okay.” Kailee nodded and placed her hand into Trenton’s “That sound fun.”

They eventually settled on Riley for the small girl with red hair. They named the tiny girl with soft blond curls Brooklyn. Then the couple named the smaller boy with light blond hair, Demetri. And the last boy they decided on Grayson. Grayson was a mini version of Trenton with his brown hair and brilliant eyes. Lilly swirled the names above the beds in tight loopy curls while Kailee wrote their names on small wrist bands and Trenton attached them gently around the babies’ ankles.

It wasn’t just so they could tell them apart but so that the babies’ names didn’t get mixed up among the staff that helped care for them. Sarah and Michelle worked together to foot print each baby and begin baby books with pictures, weights, and all the other information that was needed. Trenton and Kailee’s tiny babies were sleeping quietly so Trenton decided he would have Claire and Leah watch over them while he and Kailee went to bed to rest. They had gotten up early and both were exhausted. Sarah had her assistants switch the date of the wedding for two days later so that the couple could rest a bit before another stress filled day.

  Chapter

  Twenty-two

It was finally the day of the wedding. Trenton found it necessary to follow human trad
itions and slept in a guest room the night before. They had met up once when they both heard the babies cry but then just smiled and went on their way. Now eight a.m. and Kailee’s eyes burst open at the sound of banging on her door.

“Kailee! Get up or we will come in there!” Jade and Lilly laughed as they shouted through the door.

“I’m coming.” Kailee groggily slid from her bed and to the bedroom door. Her speed had improved since the previous days; the lack of carrying around those heavy babies giving her a greater mobility.

As soon as her door was unlocked the girls burst through it. One grabbed hold of their alpha’s arm dragging her into the bathroom while the other rushed to the closet for something comfy for her to wear. “Okay” Jade said. “Take a fast shower and then get dressed; we have to leave in fifteen minutes” she demanded as she tugged at Kailee’s pajamas.

“Okay okay… now get out so I can shower.” Kailee argued as she shoved her friend out the door. Kailee slid her clothes off and turned on the warm water before slipping into the shower. The soothing water eased her tired muscles and woke her up instantly. She washed her long red locks and then soaped up her body; within moments another beating on the poor door.

  “KAILEE! HURRY UP!” screamed Jade.

“Coming” she chimed as she shut off the water and slid out of the shower into a soft and fuzzy towel.

She dried her body quickly before sliding on her bra, underwear, the yoga pants, and tee shirt her friends had left for her. She yanked a brush through her hair and then twisted it up into a bun. She opened the door and the two girls grabbed her yanking her from the room.

“Wait I need to check my babies!” Kailee cried as the two girls dragged her down the stairs.

“They are fine. Claire and Leah are watching them today.” Lilly chortled.

With a sigh of relief Kailee allowed the girls to tug her out the door to the waiting limo. Inside she was quite surprised to see her mother and Trenton’s mother waiting for them. The five ladies happily drove off.

In a short time the limo pulled up to their first stop of the day; the salon. There were three eager stylists waiting for the ladies as they entered. Michelle had requested a private session. First up were Kailee, Lilly, and Michelle. Kailee’s hair and makeup would take longer than anyone else so they wanted her to be up right away.

Each woman went with a stylist while the other two stood eagerly watching the magic happen. Kailee’s hair was brushed out and then curled. After it was curled the stylist pulled it up and pinned half of her hair up while the rest dangled. She inserted small white flowers into the up part and then began escorted her to another stylist for makeup.

Lilly’s hair was braided up in a halo around her head and the small tendrils that hung were curled. Jade chose the same style as Lilly, which was nice to have the bride’s maids with the similar look. The mothers both chose a down do, especially Sarah whose hair was recently cut short. It was styled and pinned into its exact position, while Michelle’s hair style framed her face and hung down to her neck.

After each woman had their turn with the hair stylist each went on to the makeup artists and then onto the nail techs. Kailee had a French manicure nails while Lilly and Jade both decided on elegant decorative designs in bright colors.

Most of the day was spent at the salon. They had earlier gone out for breakfast and then went out to lunch after the salon visit. Lilly tucked a beautiful barrette into Kailee’s hair that held the blue part of the wedding while Michelle placed a beautiful diamond necklace around Kailee’s neck that she had decided to pass down through the family. Jade had offered something new. Two purple and lace dresses for the girls and small suits for the boys. Sarah had offered a garter which was beautiful. It was a bright purple with lace and a few silk flowers around the edges.

It was now three thirty and they had two hours until the wedding. They drove to the dress store Kailee and Sarah went into the store and grabbed the dress, shoes, and veil while Michelle, Jade, and Lilly carried the dresses and shoes for the moms and the bride’s maids. Then they continued on to the banquet hall where the wedding was being held.

They continued on to the dressing room first the mothers got dressed then the bride’s maids and then Kailee. Lilly had offered the little girl’s dresses and little boy’s suits to Leah and Claire to change them into. While Kailee waited for Lilly and Jade to finish dressing she went into her changing room and slid into her wedding day lingerie.

She wrapped a long silky robe around her body and waited for her friends to come in her room and help with the dress. She lay down in a lounging chair and rested while she waited.

Lilly entered and she smiled at Jade, who walked quietly up to Kailee and tapped her gently to wake her. Kailee smiled at her friends and stood up to get her dress on. Her friends held the dress out for her to step into before pulling it up and taking her robe from her. Jade buttoned up the dress and attached the train while Lilly slipped the crown which held the veil into Kailee’s hair. They were nearly ready.

Sarah and Michelle slipped into the room and requested a private moment with Kailee. Lilly and Jade headed out to find their mates and take up their positions according to the wedding planner. Sarah and Michelle sat Kailee down and discussed with her regarding how a mate is supposed to act, while Michelle emphasized how now Kailee is the Alpha of the pack officially in all aspects and how an alpha should act. They reminded her that her babies were well taken care of. Sarah told Kailee that her and John, Kailee’s father, would be returning home after the wedding and would come back to visit often. She also requested that she and Trenton do the same. Michelle told Kailee how she would ensure the babies were taken care of and would make sure that Claire and Leah treated them right while Kailee and Trenton spent their honeymoon away. Then the two women left offering John his turn to talk with Kailee.

They hadn’t told Kailee of the incidents that happened earlier. They didn’t want to worry her. Yet Michelle and Sarah both nearly beheaded the intruder that tried to sneak their food and interrupt the wedding. Trenton had dealt with his share of problems. Like finding matching shoes, a problem with the tuxedo store. The dumbest wedding cake decorator suggested Trenton should be the one to carry his own cake. Sternly Trenton refused.

It turned out that the cake designer had delivered the wrong cake in the first place and even thought it was a good thing to do asking the groom to carry in the cake. Mason intercepted that one and asked for some of the guards men to help the silly suicidal woman after they had the right cake.

Finally after two attempts the delivery of the cake had been right. The huge five tier cake was a bright white with elegant beading around the seams. Purple and red roses danced around the cake while the grooms cake and extra sheet cakes were plainer. Those were still a bright white with delicate designs around the edges but only had a pile of purple and red flowers on one corner.

The topper for the cake was a blown glass heart surrounded by flowers and then the cake table was draped in a white table cloth and drizzled with red and purple rose petals. Each table was decorated with small rose bouquets and drizzled with rose petals. Michelle had taken a moment to check in on the reception area to make sure the servers and coordinators had everything set up perfectly. She helped to light the candles in the center of the tables before returning to talk to Kailee.

“You ready pumpkin?” John smiled at his beautiful daughter.

  “Yeah…” Kailee stuttered nervously.

She laced her arm through John’s. He walked her out the room and down the large elegant staircase to the wedding hall. He paused at the bottom of the steps and kissed her cheek. “Trenton’s going to be a wonderful mate and so are you. You two are perfect for each other.” He said smiling at his daughter. They waited while the bride’s maids and groom’s men walked together down the aisle. Then Claire and Leah pushed the babies’ strollers down the aisle and settled into seats near the front. After the flower girl began to walk down the aisle throwing
flowers, it was Kailee’s turn.

The room was perfect. It smelt of lilies, roses, and bird of paradise flowers. All the flowers were a part of the bouquet Kailee carried in her hand. The lovely flowers were decorating the hall and chairs; even a large arch of flowers where Trenton stood waiting for her.

John kissed his daughter’s cheek and began to walk her down the aisle as the bride’s song played. Kailee was only ten foot down the aisle when all hell broke loose.

  Chapter

  Twenty-three

Kailee’s feet slowly stepped one foot after another down the red carpeted walkway. She smiled up at Trenton nervously through her long dark lashes. Nearly half of the pack was here. Some were working or taking care of small children while others couldn’t or didn’t want to attend for some reason. All of the pack had sent either cards or gifts though to their Alphas out of respect. They all loved their alphas but not everyone could attend the wedding, the place was small and there were way too many people to have in such a place.

A loud screech from Kailee’s right made her eyes go wide as Chelsea ran down the aisle, stopping just in front of Kailee. “How dare you!” Chelsea screeched. “I was supposed to be alpha not you. I was going to be his mate; Trenton and I are destined to be!” She cried as the strong scent of alcohol oozed from her lips. Her hands reached out and began to claw at Kailee. She began to her rant again but was abruptly cut off by loud growls from many of the men in the room. Two large guards, Preston and Garrett, pulled the girl out the doors from which Kailee had first entered. They would have to miss the wedding but they were sure they were going to be back in time for the food.

While Kailee stood in shock not sure what to do for the moment Preston and Garrett cuffed the crazy liquored up Chelsea and tossed her in the back of the nearest car and drove her like crazy back to the pack house. Once they arrived they hauled her down to a cell in the basement and locked her up after checking her for tools. They had assigned one of the guards still at the house to check in on her every half an hour until Trenton gave orders to have her dealt with.
