She touched his mouth. His teeth were even and strong as he parted his lips for her inspection. "Your lips are so soft. Kiss me, Reve," she ordered huskily. "I wish to see if you still have the same skillful tongue, which seduced me many times."
"Mel-aanie," he whispered as he obeyed and pressed his mouth to hers, his devilish tongue darting to meet hers.
Much later she drew back to smile up at him. "Mmm. Much better. I thought you couldn’t improve on perfect. But you’ve done it."
"You are pleased?" he asked, his grin restored as she nodded.
He was slimmer, his muscles beneath the soft shirt he wore still as well honed. The long hair had been replaced by shiny black waves, parted in the middle and sleeked smoothly back from a high brow. It felt like silk.
"Come, let’s go home," she said, lifting a hand and pressing a kiss to his long fingers. They were almost the same as before, except a fine layer of skin joined them and he had no nails. "I am looking forward to this joining ceremony you promised me. I have a feeling I’m going to like it."
"Home?"
"Yes, home to Amaryllis, my love."
"You are sure of this Mel-aanie?" A trace of his diffidence lingered.
"Yes, home," she said decisively.
"Your wish is my command. And Mel-aanie." He brushed a kiss over her lips and winked. "I can promise you this. You will like the ceremony better than anything you have experienced so far on my planet." Reve stooped to lift her into his arms. He turned once, then deposited her on the couch and came down beside her.
"Wow, it has to be something special to top what’s happened to me up ‘til now, Reve."
"I guarantee it will be." He closed her eyes with a kiss. "Now sleep, dear one. In a moment only we will be home."
Meet Tricia McGill
My published works include a historical, a time-travel and a science-fiction/paranormal, so I guess you could easily say I enjoy writing across the genres. But one thing my stories have in common is that they are all romances. Love certainly makes my world go round.
I am a member of the Australian Chapter of the Romance Writers of America, The Romance Writers of Australia, The Melbourne Romance Writers Guild, EPPRO (The Electronically Published Professionals), The Historical Fiction Writers Group, and I regularly review for Sharpwriter.
Born in London, England, I have made my home in Australia for over 30 years. Writing is my great passion and I sincerely hope that my readers enjoy my stories as much as I love creating them.
